I hope you don't mind my recurring nagging and sorry for my English (I'm not native speaker). Yes, Zuko does believe many things (more like he just lies to himself to cope with his shitty life), but he knows for sure that Katara is only his concubine due Ozais will, so the be my queen part is bullshit and dangers one for her (Sakura is a tragic example what could happened). I'm not quite sure, if you meant with the Bingwens magic words the faze "I love you", but come on... only men could think something like that would amend something so horrible that happened to Katara. Like... "Yes... I did raped you... my bad that you are probably barren and Oops I killed our unborn, but come on I reallllly love you."

Coming back to your answer in chapter 89, I'm not quite how to understand their relationship would be normal. You mean the beginning or the whole thing?

I wonder if Zuko will learn to control his temper, but I doubt it. I really liked Kataras POV in this chapter.

Very intense and sad chapter. I hope Katara didn't lost the ability to bear children.
I wonder, if she will call Zuko on his lies, because Zuko must know that he gives empty promises, because besides that his father would never allow this, the way you describe the Fire Nation (I love it by the way how you created the cultural differences) I don't think they would approve a marriage of a concubine. How you want to get Katara and Sokka to even trust Zuko, I have no idea.

Let me start off by saying...Great chapter. Had my eyes popping out in curiosity and I want to read MORE!

I have to agree w/ the other reviewers about the 'falling-in-love-w/-abuser' thing. As I said before, I ship Zutara like crazy, but it's kinda impossible to imagine Katara ever being happy w/ Zuko in this story...BUT, I wanna see how you'll pull it off.

I kinda guessed in the last chapter that Katara was pregnant...I mean...it was obvious.

Can't wait for the next update, and good luck to you!

    W/ Love,

    Mimi

the nice thing about being away for a while is when I come back there's a shitload more chapters. I just read about 20 new chapters in one sitting and am now caught up to all 89 chapters. Keep up the good work.

I will be honest though, I would think that after 89 chapters, Zuko would finally join the Avatar. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you're not rushing this, and many of your chapters are relatively short, and mixed with scenes that focus on various people like Ozai or the Water Tribe, but I would like to see this story move along.

Omg...these last couple of chapters were intense. I was like, what the heck is going through Zuko's mind? He could've killed Katara! I'm very interested to see how your going to eventually have Katara fall in love with Zuko because at this point I don't see it happening, lol. She wants nothing more to kill Zuko for what he's doing to her, and after what he recently did I don't blame her. It's like he went crazy or something. Anyway, thanks for updating so quickly, I can't wait to read more.

Well Admiral Chu-Hua missed one point. If Sokka dies, they will lose any control over Katara.
Anyway do you really believe that there is a possibility of a normal relationship with an abuser like Zuko is in your story? No. This reminds me of domestic violence, where the victim takes the blame. There is only one way out, leave and don't come back to the abuser.

Like the story, but Katara is getting on my nerves.

For most of this story you've explained Zuko's motives, and as misguided as they are, I could understand his intentions. However the last few chapters he seems to become less and less compassionate toward Katara. He doesn't feel guilty after that shower scene. Then in this latest episode he hurts her far more than could ever be claimed as necessary. He seems to honestly think that she 'made him' do it. I can no longer follow Zuko's thought process. Maybe you could explain a little? Thanks for updating so frequently.

I like how complex your story is, that all characters are not two dimensional. The story is bloody and full of physical and emotional pain. I have really no idea how you want to make this to a love story or even only consensual to take Ozai down. From my point of view one of them will die rather painful death and currently I think it will be Zuko (maybe Katara will also die killing him).

    Hi.

I just wanted to thank you for updating so many chapters at once. You're awesome.
The part where they were making out really got me worked up, and I hoped that Katara had finally started to like it...but...bleh :P Why doesn't Zuko try to make her more comfortable? I just can't wait to read about a consensual and enjoyable coupling. I also look forward to see how you'll incorporate the finale into the story.

Keep up the great work and update soon!

    W/ Love,

Hi. Thank you for the previous mention :)

The story's getting better -more interesting and such- but one thing irks me: the length. You used to update regularly and now you've stopped, and it's really off-putting because I want to read more and the chapters are so short and basically always end in a cliffhanger. I'm not trying to be mean here, I'm just voicing my opinion. If you're still writing i.e. not finished w/ the story yet, I get it; but, my advice is to write as many chapers as you can and then update :)

I'm really interested in what will happen and, as I've mentioned before, I really love this story and can't wait to read more. I hope you update soon and I wish you luck :D

This is an amazing story! I started reading it and I was hooked. You've really done a great job keeping everyone in character and each chapter is engaging and very well written. The emotions I went through while reading this...wow. I mean I understand why Zuko has to force himself on Katara, to protect her. But her trying to fight him off and crying is still very sad to read. I feel even worse for Zuko though, it's the last thing he wants to do to Katara. He knows his mother would be disappointed in him but he has no choice and its tearing him up inside. And poor Sokka.. His trying so hard to be strong for his sister. Those perverts had no right to hurt him like that! I hope hes able to pull through this. I love this story so much, I'll be checking for updates daily :)

I absolutely love this story! I have it bookmarked and check it everyday to see if it's been updated. I also love your writing style with this as well. And while I understand why Katara is so angry with Zuko I just wish she wasn't so naive about everything. Can't wait to see how they ed up together :)
