Okay. Another story and i'd just like to say. thanks in advance for reading. I came up with this idea after I fell down some stairs (that's my story and i'm sticking to it). I wanted to do a story with the two most unlikely characters in Animaniacs. Since I am not ready to tackle Pesto x Marita (the hippo), I went with this one and decided to put a little twist on it. I hope you enjoy and thanks in advance fror reviewing.
The doctor sighed.
Thursday.
On any other day the tableau outside his office window would inspire enthusiasm, and joy in his heart. But not today. The chirping birds, the gentle breeze, the clear blue sky—they were all lies. A saccharin facade carefully crafted to ensnare the foolish. But not the doctor. He knew the tranquil scene framed by his window was little more than a smile hiding poisonous fangs. Now, looking down over the studio lot from his window, he could see those fangs drawing inexorably closer. She was coming. He watched her, skipping merrily towards the studio offices with her brothers in tow, The Warner Sister: Dot Warner.
The doctor remembered when it all started.
Three years ago, back when he sported a head of hair fit to shame any lion’s mane, Thursday was just another day to be welcomed with zeal. Then came the Warner siblings. Now the days carried terrible gravity to them. His hair, a distant memory now, lost a handful at a time. The barbers told him it would grow back if he’d just stop pulling it out. Little chance of that.
He sighed. He would remember those early months as the halcyon days, when his sanity was the most he stood to lose.

The noisy rattle of a door handle called his attention away from the window.
It was Ms. Nurse. "Doctor. Your ten 'o’ clock appointment is here. Are you sure you don’t want to reschedule? I'm sure they wouldn't mind." she said.
Worry did not suit her pretty face. It created unsightly lines around her bright blue eyes and etched furrows into her forehead.
"No, No. Ms. Nurse. Zhat vhill not be necessary." he replied. Waggling his finger as he often did when correcting others.
"Are you sure you'll be able to handle it without your pills Doctor."
He ran a hand over his polished scalp. "Ja, ja. I vhill be fine Ms. Nurse. Vhat's a few more pulled hairs?"
It was enough. Ms. Nurse smiled and left to fetch his patient.
If only she knew the truth. Perhaps she did. She was smart. Smart enough to know the self-prescribed pills were calmatives. Though he doubted she would think the true value of those pills came from their side-effects.
“She’s right you know. You should. It’s not too late,” he thought to himself, “Reschedule, cancel, take a zick day. Say you sprained your touchous. Anything.”
“No.” he said aloud. He would hear none of that. Not from Ms. Nurse, and certainly not from himself. Besides. It was only an hour. He could last that long.
“Maybe she vont be so bad today.”
The door handle clattered for a second time. The doctor too a deep breath and steeled himself, summoning every ounce of nerve and professional skill to greet his patient with an earnest smile.

Dot Warner stepped in. Hope stepped out.
There she stood, waiting. Three-feet of near-lethal cuteness. An adorable, zany, little girl of indeterminate species. Her button nose and alabaster face marked her as a toon from an earlier era, when 'reverse black-face' was not deemed offensive. Were it not for her pink skirt and red nose, she could be mistaken for a pre-colour toon. According to her dossier, she and her brothers had only -just- missed that era.
"Vell good morning Dot. I see ve did not need zhe straight-jacket zhis time. Zhis is a good sign Ja."
Dot smiled.
He did not care for it. It was the sort of smug, knowing smile one imagines on a cat as it approaching a trapped mouse.
His torment was about to begin.
