Second Chances
5 Minutes Earlier…
“Here it is!”
Reaching into her right-side drawer in her desk, Asami pulled out the reason she and Mako made their side trip to Future Industries and her corporate office; the Sato Gauntlet. It was her classic electrified glove which she used to fight alongside team Avatar on multiple occasions.
“You still have that thing?” Mako asked.
“Of course.” Asami answered with a grin. “I even put it into mass production. General Iroh requested them for the military, but I keep this one.”
Mako took a look at the gauntlet as she slipped it on her hand. “Sentimental reasons?”
Asami nodded. “You can say that. Definitely had some good times with it…and a few bad…”
Mako instantly knew what she meant by the bad times. She wore the glove while fighting against her father and the equalists. A battle that tough physically, but devastating emotionally. He walked over to the businesswoman and put his arm around her. “I know, I remember them, too.” He told her. “But they helped you become to become the beautiful woman you are today.”
He lifted her chin slightly so that their eyes could meet, and before they were aware they slowly leaned closer and kissed; as if a lost love was suddenly reignited. It only lasted a brief moment though, as they broke away. “That felt good…”
“Yeah…” Mako agreed. “I think…”
He stopped himself in mid-sentence, an item appearing out the corner of his eye. It was familiar to him, and as he gently moved Asami aside for a closer look, he recognized what they were…Varrick Explosives.
“GET DOWN!!!”
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!
…
…
The ringing in his ears blocked out all noise as Mako lifted his head from the floor. His vision was blurry but he could still make out the damage from the blast. The entire back of Asami’s office was destroyed, and the fire threatened to spread quickly. Instinctively he looked over at Asami, who was on the floor with him. As he turned her over, he saw that she was dazed, but uninjured. That wouldn’t last for long as the flames began to engulf the entire room. He prepared to Firebend…
“AAAAGHH!!!”
…but quickly cradled his left arm as pain shot up and down it. The only other option was to crawl; grab Asami and hope they could find someone to help before the fire reached them. But as he reached for the heiress, a large stream of water attacked the flames, instantly dousing the left side of the room, before extinguishing the right. Mako first thought was how the Republic City Fire Department could reach them so quickly. But then he remembered…his friend was the Avatar.
A moment later his thought was confirmed as Korra used her Airbending to transport herself and Bolin through the hole in the office. They quickly rushed over to their two injured friends, with Mako’s final image being of his brother helping him as he faded from consciousness.
“How could this happen?”
Lin Bei Fong asked that question to her subordinate as she briskly walked through the lobby area of Police Headquarters, a scowl on her face that was more than reminiscent of her mother’s. The subordinate knew it as well and promptly answered to avoid angering her further.
“We don’t know, ma’am. But every officer is on the street right now looking for information.”
They descended the stairs, entering the holding cell area; which currently housed over a dozen members of the Triple Threat Triad. None more important than the temporary leader at the moment, Viper; who sat quietly in his cell as Tenzin and Bumi watched his movements from outside. As Lin approached though, Tenzin switched his focus.
“How are they doing?”
“Asami’s shaken up from the blast, but she’s fine.” Lin replied.
“And Mako?”
Lin paused for a moment, the anger on her face evident. “Bruised arm and shoulder…it could’ve been much worse.”
“Aw, did the detective have a little boo-boo?”
Both Tenzin and Lin turned to see Viper slowly rising from his bench, a sinister smirk on his face. “Tried to tell him the cops don’t offer the protection we do.”
Several of his henchmen voiced their agreement as Lin slowly approached the iron bars encasing him. “If I find out you had anything to do—!”
“Save the scary act, Iron Cop.” He interrupted. “You’ve gone soft, and it’s rubbed off on your toy soldiers. Besides, you can’t lay a finger on—GUHHH!!!”
The sound of a metal clang filled the holding cell area Viper found himself trapped between the iron bars of his cage, and the cell door; which Lin had bent open. With the boss pinned down, Lin reached out and grabbed his collar, rearing back to unleash a flurry of shots upon his face…until two hands grabbed her arm, halting her.
“Can’t believe I’m saying this, but calm down.” Bumi told her.
“This isn’t the way, and he isn’t worth it.” Tenzin added.
She glared back at them, before standing down and backing away. Bumi shut the door to the cell as Viper pointed at his aggressor. “Ya see that!? Police Brutality! You’re all witnesses!”
“Back up, scum!” Lin’s officer ordered, kicking the bars to scare Viper back. “All I saw was a faulty cell door you kept messing with. Now pipe down!”
Lin turned to her officer, putting her hand on his shoulder. She nodded, appreciating the loyalty he showed for her before making her way back up the stairs, with Tenzin and Bumi in tow. Reaching the main lobby area, they made their way over to Mako’s work desk, which was crowded by not only Team Avatar, but Bolin’s on-screen love interest, Ginger. She leaned over and placed her hands on Mako’s desk, addressing all of them.
“You all know why you’re here.” She began. “From the events that happened earlier you can guess that the attack on Bolin wasn’t an isolated incident, and that the assailant is still at large.”
“They’re attacking my friends.” Korra growled as she cracked her knuckles. “And all I know is they need to pay.”
“Agreed.” Lin continued. “But going on a rampage through this city will only make the President come down hard on us. This is why you are sitting on the sidelines.”
Several gasps were heard as Korra expressed her shock. “What!?”
“Are you serious!?” Mako added.
“I mean all of you!” Lin clarified. “You are all now officially in protective custody, with you serving as your own protectors. Staying close together might force the attacker out into the open where we can catch him.”
“So we’re all lumped together.” Mako summarized. “No offense Chief, but our apartment can barely fit me and Bolin.”
“I’m aware of that.” She replied. “And we can’t risk you staying with Tenzin and his family…”
“Why not just stay at my Estate?”
All eyes turned to Asami and her offer. “I mean, I’ve barely stayed there because of my work at Future Industries, and all of my traveling, but it’s still secure and more than large enough to house us all.”
“OOH! What a WONDERFUL idea!” Ginger agreed. “I’ve always wanted to live in an Estate, right Bolly-Bear?”
She strolled off, excited about the possibility on the table as Bolin lamented her pet name for him. “I…don’t like that name…”
Korra patted him on the back and smiled warmly, making him feel better as Lin continued. “Excellent choice. The grounds would allow for some police presence to go unseen while we continue this investigation.”
“So it’s settled.” Asami added as Mako stood up.
“Asami, are you sure you—!”
“Yes, Mako.” She interrupted. “You, Korra and Bolin have done so much for me…the least I could do is this.”
“You’ve done more than enough for us.” Korra assured her friend. “Thank you.”
“Uh, quick question.” Bolin chimed in. “Pabu would like to know if you still have the large swimming pool?”
The ferret in question turned toward Bolin as both Korra and Asami giggled. “Yes, Pabu will be happy to know the pool is still there.”
“Then I vote we move all business there!” He said, jumping up from his chair. “Come on, nothing ends stress like a nice dip!”
“You might have a point there, bro.” Mako commented as the four made their way out, flanked by two of Lin’s officers. Lin remained behind as she sat behind Mako’s desk, recalling the events that led to this moment.
“Penny for your thoughts?” Tenzin inquired.
“We know Viper is only a pawn in this game.” Lin replied. “Someone’s obviously using the Triple Threat to carry out their attacks.”
“And the question is whose behind it all.” Bumi proposed.
“No…the question for now is who else could be in league with this.”The Sato Estate was known as one of the largest expanses of land in Republic City; a beacon of Future Industries and the family behind the company. But everything changed when the Equalists attacked. Hiroshi Sato was revealed to be in league with them, leaving his company and his daughter in perpetual turmoil, and the Sato Estate to feel more like a tomb than a home.
“That should be about enough…”
But in the last few days that feeling has all but abandoned the vast estate. The presence of Mako, Bolin and Korra has more than livened up the place. And the three have taking a liking to their renewed stay in luxury, as evident by Bolin’s use of Asami’s butler to fill his bucket of sand. Filled to the brim, the butler struggled to lift the bucket off the ground, but to no avail.
“Don’t worry, I got it.” Bolin said, gripping the handle and carrying the sand bucket with ease over to a nearby table in the middle of the estate grounds.
“I’m afraid I still don’t understand why you wanted me to place a coin in the bucket and fill it with sand.” The Butler confessed.
Instead of answering right away, Bolin put the palms of his hands together and rubbed them feverishly for a moment. He then kept his hands in a knife formation as he slashed and dug into the sand with them at surprising speed. His hands quickly disappeared into the sand, before suddenly emerging from the bucket…holding the coin.
“Remarkable, sir.” The Butler commented.
“I’ll say…”
Bolin was startled by hearing Korra’s voice, causing him to inadvertently toss the coin into the air. Her quick reflexes allowed her to snatch it into her hand, though. “Haven’t seen that training technique in a while…”
“Yeah…” Bolin agreed. “…well, when you’re stuck in a lavish mansion, unable to leave due to mysterious attacks on you and your friends, training helps pass the time.”
Sensing his joking nature, she moved closer and put her arm around him. “It can’t be all bad…”
Instinctively he grinned as he returned the gesture. “Well…it does have its benefits.”
“HEY, BOLIN! KORRA!!!”
Immediately the two separated from each other, trying to act casual and not draw any further attention. It hadn’t been easy revealing to Asami & Mako that the two of them were together, especially with the hovering starlet Ginger and her group of photographers around as well. To make matters worse, two more visitors appeared with the three.
“Hey, Tenzin and Kya came to visit.” Mako informed them.
“Just checking up on you.” Tenzin added. “I know it can’t be easy being forced together like this, especially under current circumstances.”
“Actually, it’s been great.” Asami revealed. “It’s nice to have someone other and me and some servants live here…makes it feel more welcome.”
“We can’t forget why we’re here, though.” Mako reminded them. “Any news on potential suspects?”
“None for now, though Lin is still doing a thorough investigation.” Tenzin answered. “Nothing for you to worry about though, you all should consider this a sort-of vacation...even though some of you could benefit from training.”
“Still with the training?” Korra debated. “I mean, I did defeat a Bloodbender and an ancient evil Spirit--!”
“And my father took down an entire warring nation.” Tenzin interrupted. “But he didn’t simply rest on reputation, and neither should you.”
“I hear ya.” Bolin agreed. “Which is why I’m still training to be at the top of my game in Pro-Bending. Gotta make sure my team’s still among the elite.”
“But, didn’t your team go winless last season?” Asami reminded him.
“Hmmph! Bolin doesn’t need those ruffians.” Ginger chimed in as she strolled over to the group. “A star like him just needs to stay in fit shape for his next role. Gotta keep the fans happy, and paying.”
The Avatar narrowed her eyes in anger upon sight of Bolin’s co-star, almost missing what he had to say. “So bro, wanna go a few rounds?”
“No thanks, not really into Pro-Bending anymore.” Mako replied. “And you should probably get out, too. Ginger’s got a point, you have a great opportunity with these movers and--!”
“I’ll spar!” Korra interrupted, not wanting anything positive about Ginger to be said. “I mean...Tenzin’s right; I do need to keep my bending abilities honed.”
The Airbender cocked a curious eyebrow. “Korra, listening to me...without a lengthy debate?”
“A brave new world…” Kya quipped as the former teammates got into positions, standing across from each other in the Sato Estate Courtyard.
“GO BOLIN!!!” Ginger cheered from the sidelines. A cheer that brought a sneer of resentment from Korra that she kept to herself as she prepared to face off against her secret love. They paused for a moment, eyeing each other both strategically and lovingly, before finally unleashing their attacks. Korra went to her Firebending to start off, sending balls & streams of flames aimed towards Bolin, who easily avoided them and countered with disks of earth, hurled with his bending.
The match stayed evenly paced, with neither landing more than a glancing blow, until Korra switched from Firebending to her native Waterbending, catching Bolin off guard. “Hey, mind giving me a warning next time!?”
“You don’t get warnings in matches, Bolin!” Korra teased as she kept the pressure on. The two continued their sparring, trading attacks as neither of them could push each other back far enough to obtain victory. After moments of intense action, Bolin spotted an opening; one he could use to push Korra out of the ring and win. Ducking a stream of water, he spun and channeled his Earthbending to fire a disc at her feet, intending to take away her balance to set up the final blow. But Korra spotted the maneuver, and used her water bending to scoop up and divert the disc away from her and out of the ring.
“OOMPHH!!!”
Unfortunately she didn’t have any control on its trajectory after that, as the disc shot away from her, hitting Ginger and sending her flying into a nearby rosebush. Seeing the impact, everyone rushed over towards where she landed, and as they moved the shrubbery aside, they saw that the mover star was fine...though also covered in mud and leaves.
“OK, now I remember why Pro-Bending is played with a moat around the field.” Bolin commented.
The view from the Sato Estate was breathtaking after the sun went down, giving someone an unobstructed view of a perfect starry night sky. Unfortunately they couldn’t distract their current viewer from his troubles, as Bolin looked outside his window, trying to distract himself from the events of earlier today.
“Beautiful night, huh?”
Turning towards his room entrance, he spotted Korra standing there in a long robe. “Yeah, it is. Never really got a chance to see the night sky like this in Republic City.” He commented. “Never figured you to like this kind of thing, though.”
“Are you kidding?” Korra responded. “My mom used to take me up on the highest hill in our town to show me the stars every week. She said they would help if I ever got lost.”
“Huh…cool.” Bolin commented. “You wouldn’t know if your mom had any advice to erase people’s memories, would you?”
Korra giggled. “It wasn’t that bad.”
“Nope, except for helping send my girlfriend into a puddle of leaves & mud.”
“I don’t recall that happening to me.” Korra replied as she walked over and wrapped her arms around him.
Bolin returned the favor. “I’m sorry, I just…with her being around, I wish—!”
“I know.” Korra responded. “Trust me…that’s why I’m here.”
Her hold getting tighter, she pulled her lips to his and kissed him lovingly, having craved those lips for the past few days of being without them. It was a feeling Bolin more than reciprocated as he held on to her tight, but then backed away suddenly.
“We…we can’t.” He said. “I mean I want to! I do, but Mako and Asami…”
“I know, Bolin. Plus, the last time we…tended to make a little mess.” The Earthbender nodded in agreement from that. “But, that’s not to say that there aren’t ways around our problem.”
As she spoke those words, she slowly began to sink downward, out of Bolin’s sight. “Wait, what do you mean there—ah…ooohhh.”
Feeling her hands venture inside his trousers silenced him immediately, and within moments he found both his trousers and underwear down around his ankles. She squatted down in front of him, her hand already gripping the shaft of his member, gently jerking it. She played with it at first, using her tongue to lick his head while placing her lips against it, but not fully into her mouth just yet. It didn’t matter to Bolin though; after days of not feeling her touch, he gladly took this moment.
Before long, the head of his cock was glistening as she continued to jerk his shaft. She licked her lips with anticipation, before engulfing his cock head and part of his shaft. She twisted her head with each inch she took in as her lips tightened around his manhood; her hand playing and caressing his balls as her tongue went to work. She moaned lovingly, adoring the taste of his member in her mouth. Bolin was entranced by the Avatar’s mouth as he placed his hand on the back of her head. She was sucking him off roughly, but just right. Almost as if she was using her Airbending to aid her movements. He would never ask, and it didn’t matter to him anyway, since it felt so good.
Minutes would pass before Korra would remove her mouth from his cock, proverbially coming up for air. “I can tell somebody likes this…” She said, feeling how stiff his erection was as Bolin smiled and nodded. “Hold on, I wanna try something…”
Giving his cock a few more jerks, she licked her lips again before wrapping them around the head, and then pushing forward. Inch by inch she went, until her chin touched his balls. She could feel the head of his cock almost down her throat, and his hand holding her head in place. Her eyes began to water as he tongue flailed wildly and she pushed away from Bolin, gasping for breath.
“OK…where did you learn to deep throat?” Bolin asked.
“Kya told me about it.” She revealed. “Said she learned in from a family friend who was a Kyoshi warrior.”
“Nice…but maybe we should do something that won’t stop breathing.” Bolin suggested.
Korra smiled. “I have just the thing…”
Reaching down, she grabbed the hem of her shirt and pulled it off over her head, revealing those luscious bronze breasts Bolin had longed for over the past few days. He didn’t need any direction on what to do next as he grabbed hold of his thick manhood, placing it between Korra’s soft mounds. Slowly he began to pump his cock between them, as Korra hung her tongue out, letting some of her saliva catch the head before she did so herself with her mouth. Holding her tits upright, she took the head of Bolin’s cock in and out of her mouth, as her breasts did the rest. The sensation of the Avatar’s mounds and her mouth were too much for the Earthbender, as he felt his limit nearing.
“Korra…gonna cum!”
“Do it, Bolin.” She urged. “Give it to me.”
She moved her breasts in rhythm against his strokes, wanting his climax right then and there. And she received it, as one final thrust caused Bolin to reach his limit. Jizz shot out into Korra’s mouth, with the excess landing on her face and falling onto her breasts. It was a sweet release that the two of them reveled in, as Bolin’s cock rested on the Avatar’s bosom. For a moment, all of the stress from their secrecy had been relieved, and the two enjoyed this moment together.
But an audible gasp quickly wiped that moment away.
They both heard it, and in their mind they immediately thought of the worst case scenario. But as Korra turned their head and Bolin glanced upward, they found it wasn’t Mako or Asami who had just witnessed their action…but Ginger.
“Uh…um…this isn’t what it looks like.”
