Chapter 128
Disclaimer: The term "Bodissy" belongs to the late, great Bernie Mack.
“I told you not to say anything!” Sokka screamed. “How could you betray him like that?”“Sokka, I…” Katara brought her hand to her mouth realizing what she had just done. She didn’t mean to give them Haru’s name. She just didn’t want Sokka to know she was selling herself to Zuko. She was mortified to have felt something other than pain while his penis was inside of her. She felt guilty she’d healed him, kissed him that she had more orgasms while grinding against him on the sandbar.
“Do you want him to get captured? Is being a slut not enough you have to be a traitor too?” Sokka yelled.
“I’m not a slut or a traitor. I just…it was a mistake,” Katara insisted.
“A mistake?” Sokka questioned stepping around Ty Lee and getting in his sister’s face.
She was about to block his chi when Azula raised her hand and shook her head. They were so devoted to each other she hadn’t thought Zuko’s plan to make them turn on each other would work. This entertaining exchange was proving otherwise.
“A mistake that you betrayed one of our friends and gave his name to the Fire Nation, a mistake that you fucked Zuko outside in broad daylight or a mistake that another boy whose room you spent the night in saw you?” Sokka yelled not caring about their audience.
“I did not sleep with Haru!” Katara’s eyes widened and she stomped her foot angrily leaning into her brother’s chest. From that point the Fire Nation citizens watched as it devolved into an all out fight.
“You still spent the night in his room and I know you weren’t sleeping!” Sokka screamed bumping his chest into her as he aired her dirty laundry. Sokka knew that his sister missed the normal flirting and interaction that most teens their age had. He did what he could to scare her away from boys, but he also pretended he never knew when she experimented with the ones she came in contact with. Voluntarily screwing Zuko was crossing the line. “I’m not stupid Katara. I knew you snuck out of the barn. I knew you were sneaking around the treehouse with Jet. I know what you did with that boy in your Waterbending class with the dreadlocks when we were at the North Pole and I know what you did with my best friend before he went off to fight. You were eleven when Dad left but you let a boy feel you up! What kind of girl does that?”
“I suppose I should be grateful to Azula. I thought you had lost your virginity a long time ago. If she hadn’t shown me the bloody sheets I would have sworn you let every boy you’ve ever met fuck you. You’re like the Avatar and the Fire Nation in one. You’ve been touched by all four elements and climbed on non-benders from the Earth Kingdom and Water Tribe. I guess it doesn’t matter that we weren’t in the Fire Nation long enough to find a non-bender you like considering you’re fucking and sucking their prince.”
“I have never taken a boy in my mouth!” Katara growled lowering her shoulder and using it to push Sokka away from her.
“I was in the next room when dreadlocks said you wrapped your lips around his whale rib and sucked him within an inch of his life,” Sokka countered.
“He was lying. Whale rib? Please it was more like an artic hen rib and I did not suck it. The lowest I’ve ever gone on any guy is the belly button,” Katara yelled poking Sokka’s chest with her bound hands. She couldn’t believe her brother would believe that idiot’s word over her own so she didn’t hold back on her next barb, “Besides it’s not like you have much room to talk about what happened at the North Pole. I was fighting Zuko to protect Aang while you were flying around on Appa riding Yue!”
“I never had sexual intercourse with her!” Sokka bellowed angrily.
“You both smelled like bodissy!” Katara yelled. Those from the Fire Nation military familiar with Earth Kingdom whore houses laughed at her reference to the scent of booty, dick and pussy.
“Yue was a virgin when she became the moon spirit,” Sokka screamed coming to Yue’s defense.
“Well moon spirit was walking funny, had trouble sitting down and had the smell of your dirty underwear on her breath when she died. Don’t even try denying that your mouth had the stench of raw koalaotter when we found Zuko and Aang. The two of you had Appa’s saddle reeking of sex!” Katara countered.
“Don’t you dare talk about Yue like that! She was special to me!” Sokka yelled grabbing her shoulders and getting angrier. He was unable to believe his sister would disrespect a dead girl who sacrificed her life to save the world.
“She couldn’t have been too special considering how fast you forgot about her and started fucking Suki. And don’t think I don’t know about those two girls from the poetry society in Ba Sing Se,” Katara jabbed.
That comment was a direct hit on Sokka’s guilty conscience for letting her die. Enraged Katara would insult the feelings he still had for Yue he struck back ruthlessly, “So who was special to you Katara? Jet? Haru? Taruk? I was the only boy left in the tribe so I don’t think your time between him and the next guy that counts. Which one did you really care for? Taruk?Haru? Jet? What’s his face? Aang? Or are you even capable of caring? The only time you took between them was to find a new man. Or were you really messing with Zuko this whole time?”
“Zuko? What?” Katara’s jaw dropped. Sokka thought she’d been with Zuko this whole time?
Seeing that he was gaining ground, Sokka continued, “Don’t play innocent with me. He always seemed to know where we were and we always seemed to just barely get away. I heard you tell Suki how warm his hands were that night he tied you to a tree. Aang told me he thought he walked in on you kissing under Ba Sing Se. Why did you offer to heal General Iroh when Azula shot him with lightning? We were enemies but you seemed upset when he shot fire at you that day.”
“What? No,” Katara uttered shaking her head. Sokka’s accusation of betraying them with Zuko were hitting too close to home considering she offered him her body less than 24 hours ago.
“That first night in the palace he let you see us as a reward for how well you’d serviced him. It takes a while to learn what a new partner likes. The very next day you were wearing a crown. Who gives a crown to a girl they’ve just met? Especially one from the enemy camp? Did the two of you plan this whole thing because you got tired of sneaking around?”
“Sokka, I…how could you? I would never do that to you or Aang,” Katara denied adamantly.
“Really?” he asked sarcastically. His frustration and anger had been building since they were captured so he let all of his pent up emotions out on her. “I don’t see you half-starved sleeping on flea laden straw in a dirty cage next to the stables. Part of me really hopes that this was planned and that Zuko really does want you. I’ve been worried about your future. I love you Sis, but you’ll never have a husband and family once word gets out that he supposedly raped you,” he continued putting air quotes around supposedly.
“Sokka…I didn’t…I wouldn’t…,” Katara gasped. The tears that had been forming slowly began to fall as she realized he was right. She did and she was sleeping with Zuko. Last night she’d agreed to stop fighting and consented. She’d never get married or have a family because she was giving herself to Zuko.
Sokka shrugged, “What? It’s not like you don’t already know that no one from the Water Tribes is going to marry you. Even the crush Aang has on you will turn to hatred the moment he finds out you’re fucking Zuko behind his back. I should just tell him. No point in letting the kid waste away pining after a whore. I know how much you want kids and I doubt anyone will want to spend the rest of their life with Prince Zuko’s fuck toy or want Fire Nation leftovers to be the mother of their children either.”
“You may as well have Zuko’s bastard. As the brother of an unmarried turtleseal with an easy open shell, I’ll be stuck taking care of you anyway. What’s one more mouth to feed?” Sokka said callously.
Katara ran off sobbing.
“You don’t have to worry about taking care of your sister or my bastards,” Zuko growled angrily at Sokka.
“Oh so you do want her,” Sokka replied cavalierly, “I was scared you were just planning on fucking her until you got bored then casting her off. I guess they won’t be bastards in the traditional whore of a mother definition, just Fire Nation.”
Zuko’s face was blank and his voice was calm hiding his anger, “It means you have to don’t worry about ever becoming an uncle. She was carrying my child, but I made her miscarry. I lost my temper and hurt her so badly the doctors don’t think she will ever become a mother. Why discard Katara now that she’s the perfect piece of pussy? I can come inside her all I want and not worry about tainting my bloodline with a bunch of little Water Tribe savages.”
Sokka lunged at Zuko and Ty Lee blocked his chi making his arms and legs go limp.
Zuko stepped over him and calmly picked up a brush and piece of parchment. He turned to a flabbergasted junior officer sitting in the corner, “Were you documenting everything that was said during this meeting?”
The girl nodded, “Yes Prince Zuko.”
“Make a copy of it and can send it to my father along with this message,” Zuko instructed handing her a piece of paper that simply said - My plan is working. The Water Tribe siblings can barely look at each other.
Azula ordered Ty Lee to take Sokka back to his cell then turned to her brother, “I see you’ve finally learned how to lie. I’m proud it only took what sixteen years?”
Zuko focused a steely glare Azula and silently left the room to find Katara.
Mai looked at the bandages on her wrist. They were covered in aloe and cocoa butter so the burns Zuko had given her wouldn’t scar. He had been livid when he made her apologize to Katara. Before she approached them his hand had been covering her stomach. She wasn’t sure he did lie about Katara losing his child or causing permanent damage. She had seen how badly he’d hurt her.
Zuko found Katara curled against Appa crying into his side. The deck was wet and so was the animal’s fur. She’d been trying to heal him even thought she was clearly distraught.
Zuko sat beside Katara and slide his hand in front of her body to link it with hers. She knocked it away so he moved it lower to let it settle on her stomach, directly above where his child would be growing had he not been so foolish.
She had said the animal was afraid of fire. It needed to get over that fear if the Avatar was ever going to defeat his father. He called a small flame to his palm and began meditating on all the things his rashness had cost him: a chance to truly bond with Katara, his uncle, a child, and the opportunity for a girl he undoubtedly loved to be a mother.
If he hadn’t promised Katara he would look out for her brother, he would have killed the boy for making her cry earlier. The urge was there. He’d thought of her and that had been enough to make him stop and consider his actions. He’d been doing that more often lately since he’d been in her presence. He couldn’t just fly off the handle or else she’d be the one to pay for it.
He was about to recommend going back to their room when her fingers wrapped around his. He slowly let the fire in his palm get larger as the water slid across the deck to the bison’s injured paws.
Ty Lee led Sokka on a circuitous path back to the brig, making sure to take longer than usual. His aura was a mess; she wanted to give him time for it and her head to clear. When she left the circus to follow Azula she never imagined things would become like this. She had chosen arts and entertainment as her civil service area. She loved performing and making people happy.
She never wanted to be in the military, but traveling with Azula she’d hurt so many people. She’d helped capture the girls from Kyoshi. She still heard their screams in her nightmares. She still remembered all of the sad faces in Ba Sing Se. The war was supposed to share all that was right in the Fire Nation with the rest of the world, not bring all that was wrong in the other countries back home.
“Zuko was lying wasn’t he?” Sokka asked interrupting Ty Lee’s thoughts. He’d followed her up and down every staircase they’d come across and were now above deck. He could see his sister crying against Appa’s side while Zuko sat next to her holding a small flame in the hand Sokka could see. Now that he’d calmed down, he felt horrible about the things he said to her.
“Zuko really didn’t get her pregnant and…,” Sokka’s voice trailed off not wanting to think he’d told his sister no one would want her to have their children not knowing she couldn’t have any. “Zuko didn’t, did he?”
Ty Lee followed his gaze. She had seen brief fluctuations in Katara’s aura, but couldn’t say if the pale glow was the white of new life or the gold of determination, “I don’t know. The night she almost sank the ship, he got really angry. He hurt her. We saw what he did. It was horrible. She fought him really hard and they were both in the infirmary for a week.”
“If she was pregnant…” Ty Lee shook her head then turned towards Zuko and Katara. “Since then they’ve mostly kept to themselves. Their auras have been so murky that I really can’t tell much.”
Sokka sagged in defeat. Katara never backed down from a fight. Today the first time she’d ever started crying and just run off. Most of the time if she started crying during an argument she had already started swinging. Last night she said Mu helped her hide from Zuko when she snuck on deck to heal Appa that night. He messed up. Even if Zuko was lying, he still went too far with that last comment.
“Come on, we can’t stay out here too long,” Ty Lee said poking Sokka’s side to mask tugging on his tunic. She led him the opposite direction from Katara and her cousin. Their auras had started to merge.
Sokka’s eyes narrowed, from this angle he could tell that Zuko’s hand he couldn’t see earlier had disappeared between Katara and Appa. Now he’d put out the flame and his other hand was on the small of her back. He knew Zuko had planned to use her to split the Avatar’s supporters. Quite honestly it was a good plan but he couldn’t shake how it was odd that she’d healed Zuko.
It was even stranger that Zuko had been bringing him food and medicine the entire time they’d been captured. He wasn’t dumb enough to believe the only reason he was forced to muck out stalls and clean up after Appa was because no one else wanted to. The number of rapes and beatings had reduced dramatically now that he constantly smelled like animal dung.
He really had overheard her tell Suki that about how warm Zuko’s hands were and that his eyes were the most captivating shade of gold. Aang had been distraught when he thought she had kissed Zuko under Ba Sing Se. He confided that was part of the real reason he’d run away after waking up. The entire time he was unconsciousness he dreamed of how close they had been and how badly he’d startled them.
Sokka didn’t really think that his sister would betray them but all that combined with her sleepily going to the prince’s bed and the flimsy underwear painted a disturbing picture. She and Zuko couldn’t be together, could they?
Sokka wasn’t in his cell for long before Ty Lee came back to get him. She blocked his chi in an odd pattern then led him to an unfamiliar room. One of the men from the meeting nodded to her and she left.
He walked over to Sokka, caressed his cheek and lifted his chin, “My name is Commander Huang. I think I will enjoy getting to know you.”
Arraye: Thank you for your feedback. Using Katara as a pawn was Zuko’s idea. I’ll let you be the judge of how well it worked.
