Yes! :) I'm finally done with all of it. Thank you, again, for taking the time and energy to write all of this! I already mentioned my previous issues with the original ending (not simply because Katara died, but truly because I couldn't connect with the emotional reactions of the characters in the story after it happened), but I just want to say that it's obvious how much work you put into your writing, and I admire the dedication you hold to finishing all of your stories, not matter how intense and intricate the load can be. I was obviously much happier with the Alternate Ending not only because it was happier, but also because I felt the characterization that occurred was more appropriate (but of course, to each their own!) I'm really happy that I came across this story and that I did push through and read all of it--it was a very realistic interpretation of what could have happened, and I was really impressed by the range of canon events that you molded into your story. I will definitely need a break after such a long reading haul, but I hope to read more of your stories in the future. :) Thank you, again!

Chapter 38. Oh my god, I'm so glad I pushed through the first Epilogue--I felt like I had just wasted my time reading such a long story! I understand that character deaths are meant to be powerful and leave the reader with a different set of emotions and thoughts after a story, but this character death just felt poorly executed... Rather than feeling thoughtful and greatly impacted by the incident, I just felt dissatisfied and gypped. I barely even read the remaining chapters, and only skimmed through them, growing annoyed with the fact that I had spent so many hours this weekend going through and reading this story as fast I could. This whole story had seemed to have everyone fluctuate in and out of character, especially after Zuko and Katara got together, and Katara's death just made me so frustrated that I had kept with the story for so long! I haven't actually read the remaining chapters yet--I felt like I had to review immediately once I remembered that you created an alternative ending--but let me just say that I AM SO HAPPY that you decided to lead the story in two different directions, rather than just leave us with that really unsatisfying finish. Despite my qualms about the characterization, you certainly do have a way with plot, and your perspectives on certain occurrences in canon are definitely interesting. Thank you, really, for taking the time to write this story and share it with us, and most of all, for keeping Katara alive after 30+ chapters of build up!

I loved the Puppetmaster chapter! Much, much more satisfied with the characterization and the development between Zuko and Katara. And I loved the bit of naughtiness, as well!

:/ I've been so in love with this story for every chapter up until now. I had intended to read it through first and then go back and review later, but when I came to this fight scene where Zuko responded horribly, I just couldn't wait. I'm especially disappointed with how he keeps calling her "peasant" after what he said earlier. This chapter is definitely not my favorite for characterization, and I hope I find myself happier about the next chapters. I love your writing and I really want to feel the same way about the next chapters as I did for the ones before this!

I first started to read your story on FF.net but then I came here to read read everything. This story was amazing! I loved it from beginning to end. Your descriptions are beautiful and the plot was amazing! I liked how you changed things around in a way that didn't seem at all impossible. The way their relationship grew and I loved all of their interactions! I've started to read the next story of the series and already I'm hooked :D Thank you for sharing your wonderful stories!

Amazing as ever, I have now read Slow Heat, Kiss of Fire, and Valcano. I am looking forward to reading Cold Fire and Hot Water. Your sotries are amazing and how much effort you seem to put into them are just mind blowing. I wish I would have found these stories earlier.

Hi there i have been reading you story and i really like it ^_^ i admit i was just bored and clicked on a fanfic that sounded interesting considering i have read your other works, but it sounded like something to pass the time. instead i got this amazing story i really got captivated by it. what started out at midnight as just a couple of chatpers then go to bed was nothing like i expected. now here i am at chapter 19 and it being 7:22am the next morning ^_^ i just can't stop. i tell myself one more chapter then bed but after reading it, i ended up reading more next thing you know i spent the whole night reading your story. I can see from clicking ahead that you are already up to chapter 41 on this story and it makes me happy i didn't start earlier cause i'm sure the antisapation would have killing me ^_^ i kept reading how you wrote on how people would read it but not comment and how you where thinking of not continuing this story it scared me a bit cause i was so rapped up in this story the thought of you not continuing it hadent ocured to me.-_- i'm just glad it went to chapter 41 as far as i can see. i was gonna wait to review till i got all caught up to your more recent chapter but seeing your constant notes on wanting a review i just had to comply.^_^ i hope that you continue this story and i can't wait to see how everthing turns out. i enjoy how zuko and katara's relationship finally started and now i just can't wait to see how it will all playout. i read about how you said you would spice things up on like not making there realationship all happy flowers and such after just that one meeting and that really got me interested on how much more you are doing with this story.i can't wait to read more i will be sure to review again.

Your sleep deprived fan ^_^ karine

Just wanted to say what a great story this is! I love how realistically you've developed it, versus just having Katara and Zuko leap into each others arms and live happily ever after.

I loved your story...stayed up until 5am reading. And huge love for leaving both a happy and tragic ending...I dunno if I just like broody Zuko or what but I liked the tragic ending better. Can't wait till I get out of work to read the sequel!

exactly why you have become one of my favorite authors:

I lovingly rubbed her hair and back dry with a towel when we were done, and she returned the favor, teasing me by rumpling my hair with the towel. It was almost morning and we were tired, so there'd be no loveplay. But I was happy to share this night with her, and relax like this. Who said love had to always be on the physical level? I was happy to just be with her.

I absolutely love your fanfic Slow Heat. I love your writing style and how you stay so true to the characters personalities. I especially want to praise your creativity with Chit Sangs story and his mother. You are very talented, and I look forward to reading your other works after finishing this one!

I really liked it. I appreciated that Zuko and Katara weren't all "I love you" "I love you more" at the beginning. The realism, though dark sometimes (Hamma, freaky freaky) was great. Not a huge fan of the original ending, but hey, you can't be happy all the time. I'm going to read more of your work, definitely.

I usually don't review stories that I read here but I just had to review this story. I loved Slow Heat! I especially loved the Alternative Ending! It just seemed to fit the series better what with Katara's predicted future given to her and all. Not to mention I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

As a fellow writer I also wanted to give you some advice. Ignore those who flame the story. I noticed you mentioned that you got several mean and critical reviews. You really should just ignore anything that isn't a constructive. As I writer I write for myself first and so should you. You are a good writer and as long as you are happy with what you write then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
