Saturday the 15th of June 1963:

Years ago, when Bob and Helen were heroes and before they had children, laws changed so that being a hero was forbidden and those who had powers

The reason was because of Bob himself, he was doing rescue work like he normally did before getting married, but in doing so, he saved someone who didn’t want to be saved. At the time Bob, a.k.a Mr. Incredible, got sued for doing so. About a week later, people from a train that Mr. Incredible saved also sued the superhero, which led to other people suring other heroes. Because of this, laws were set forth to prevent heroes from doing their hero work and stop them from using their powers in public.

Because of this, Robert’s life went downhill, whilst his wife Helen Parr once known by her hero name, Elastigirl, was fine with leading a normal life as a wife, mother and house-wife, it wasn’t the same for the rest of her family. Bob got jobs that he hated and from time to time done hero work, forcing him to move, seeing how he wasn’t allowed to and so for his and his family's safety was forced to move again and again. As for Violet and Dash, they were unhappy with their lives seeing how they have powers but are unable to use them, which caused them to have problems in one form or another in their lives.

Either way, back to the story:

The reason for this was that her parents were worried that with Dash, she might not be able to deal with both Jack-Jack and Dash. Seeing that they want the weekend together, it would be easier to have a good night with Jack-Jack who normally sleeps most of the time. Violet wasn’t happy about this, it was a weekend and she wanted to see her friends, and not looking after her younger brother. But there was nothing she could do about this.

Violet had to admit though, that this was the first time in years that her parents went out for the weekend, as for a long time, they didn’t have the money to do so. But after her father was forced to quit his job, so that his boss, Gilbert Huph from Insuricare, didn’t revile that he had superpowers and so a former hero a month ago, things slowly changed.

He got a job in an insurance law firm as a private investigator, to make sure that the claims were real, where he would have to travel a lot. Because of this new job, her father was able to get more money, and the job made him happy. As he would make sure that those who really needed help got it, unlike in his last job. Thanks to their father’s new job, she and Dash found that their lives, along with their parent’s lives getting better.

First thing was that her father was getting back in shape, losing the extra weight that he gained over the years. This was so that some of the people he was following were in better shape than he was, so to keep up with them, he had to do something about his body.
