To the endless sea
A prism of a thousand stars
Floats through the galaxy
A tremble from a thousand hearts
Wants to break free
Priest-Reloader
Zim knew his PAK was failing...That was an undisputed fact, it was also a fact that thanks to him the armada was gone, the Tallest with it. It made sense now why they wanted him gone, he was too chaotic and too much of a danger to keep on Irk or any Irken controlled world. He destroyed everything he touched...Even Gir, Gir was chaos embodied and it was his fault how could it not be?
The control brains must have realized he was the reason for the Tallest deaths and activated the kill switch, this far from Irk it would take time...He was going to suffer, his instincts eventually tell him he was being hunted much like the human’s pet animals would when dying. As much as that irked him it was the closest thing he could think of on this little backwater mudball.
Zim watched as Gir chased a squirrel, giggling madly. The days were shorter and there were leaves on the ground, piles that Gir loved jumping into. He’d heard humans wondering when it would start snowing, he’d never just stopped and admired the snow before...If it wasn’t made of water he’d agree with humans that snow was pretty. At least at the end, he would get to see something beautiful, something he’d never have seen on Irk or Foodcourtia.
“He seems happy.” Zim snorted as Gaz stopped next to him, she’d introduced him to video games via Gir, and eventually, Gir and Gaz played together almost every weekend that Gaz wasn’t at a competition. It had taken some getting used to as he had been suspicious that Dib had a hand in it, only that hadn’t been it. Gir had run into Gaz as he had gone on a food run for some reason, it was nice having the human girl around actually.
“Can I ask you something Gaz?” She blinked and then burst into laughter.
“I knew you could talk properly! God that’s going to irritate the hell outta Dib.” If it did well that was Dib’s problem.
“It was easy to pretend, it made Dib less cautious. All jokes aside, I have an important question for you.” Gaz frowned and nodded her consent.
“When I die, would you take Gir in, or if he wants to go back to Irk help him?” Gaz’s jaw clenched her eyes, squinting at him fiercely.
“You’re not going to do that.” He wagged his antennae at her.
“I am, I’m in the process...I might be gone by the end of the month at the earliest.” Gaz put a hand over her mouth, he was fairly certain she wasn’t aware that she was shaking her head like she was a bobblehead.
“Why didn’t you? Oh god, it’s going to crush Gir! Of course, I’ll try to help him as much as I can.” He’d never seen her so scared before, and just over his last dredges of life? It wasn’t important, he was nothing after all. He was the reason the tallest and the majority of the Armada were gone.
