(SD92:I finally felt the urge to re-write this story, I first put it up on ffnet but of course that is a more family friendly site and I had to delete the chapter with the detail to keep it up and monitor what I wrote. The story is still there of course but I wanted to write a more detailed version, as usual there are certain shows I ignore what actually happened if I want to. I mean that’s obvious since it’s a show for younger viewers and this story is not :D. AU and OOC content are very high and I hope you enjoy it. I’m really rusty when it comes to adult details, I use to rp all the time and that was how I got my practice so if it’s not what you’re looking for sorry about that. Also I still don’t know when Danny’s birthday is so I gave him a new one(I think), it matters for the story.

Prologue
Danny was sitting in his room, that was actually clean for once, staring at his reflection in the mirror he wasn’t the skinny little teenager he use to be. In fact though he couldn’t be sure himself at the moment, if he stood next to Vlad he would taller. His muscles had developed nicely, his hair was a little longer and his boyish good looks had melted away to reveal the handsome young man he had become.
Today he was graduating and he was surprised he even made it, sure Tucker and Sam could help him with studying but he was more surprised he lived until now. The ghost portal had been destroyed when some crazed ghost tried to “blow up the world” using it as a bomb. The force backfired on him and sucked him in preventing access. Duh,you’re probably thinking, but it’s really just gone his parents can rebuild all they want but it doesn’t matter no one can use that particular portal ever again.
Danny shifted in his suit and turned to look at the picture next to the mirror, he wasn’t the only one that matured over the years.
Sam was now a curvy beauty she wore less dark make up but kept her preferred goth look.
She let her hair grow out until it could fall to her backside in a neat braid, Tucker got contacts and buffed up he was still a nerd, a proud nerd at that, but it was no longer painful to watch him play sports. He had no choice but to push his beloved electronics away a little to make room for his new girlfriend. After all this time Sam was able to choose between them Danny was happy for his friends.
Also in the picture was Valerie, she was the same pretty girl Danny had a crush on and that was the problem. Though they had fought together to get the ghosts under control so they could attempt normal lives a crush was all it was. He tried to force himself to develop deeper feelings for the girl, even though it just doesn’t work that way, but it was hopeless.
“Danny! We’re going on ahead!”
“Okay!”
As his parents left he looked up and Jazz came into his room, she was going to small community college close by. She never lost sight of what she wanted and Danny couldn’t help but look up at his big sister with a bit of pride, when they weren’t fighting that is.
The pretty young woman was always getting calls to go out on dates she wasn’t sure when she wanted to settle down but her overprotective father seemed fine with that. She had considered cutting her long hair short as she moved to more mature clothes but Danny warned her that she looked too much like their mother to do that, without the consequences anyways.
“Oh Danny I’m so proud of you.”
He shrugged.
“Aren’t you suppose to say that after I have my diploma?”
“I’m proud of you for that too, but I meant that you’ve grown up so much and your little after school activity didn’t interfere with that. I always worried you wouldn’t live to see this day.”
He smirked slightly.
“I was just thinking the same thing.”
“Besides I want a hug and I know you would be too embarassed to hug me in front of your friends.”
As they hugged he scoffed.
“I thought you said I’ve grown up.”
“But you’ll always be my baby brother and that title means you’ll always be a pain in the butt.”
He smiled then and grabbed his cap and gown they got in Jazz’s car and drove to the park where the ceremony would take place.

When they arrived Danny was a little surprised to see Paulina and Dash, a little drunken fun at make out point had led to their one year old daughter. He wasn’t sure they would want to come, surprisingly they were both ahead in their studies and everyone thought they wouldn’t want to come.
He put on his cap and gown and walked over.
“Hey Paulina, Dash.”
They turned and smiled, he wondered if being a dad did anything to change Dash Paulina hugged him.
“It’s nice to see you Danny, can you believe we’re all graduating?”
“Not really, I’m not too book smart you know.”
She smiled.
“How’s Nicola?”
“Doing good, I can’t believe I wasted so much time avoiding homework with a kid I hardly had time to do it. I wasn’t sure I’d even get my diploma.” Dash admitted.
“Life’s funny that way.” Danny said.
“After graduation we’re moving to Florida with my grandparents.” Paulina added.
“Really?”
“Yeah I got a job in construction down there that will give me time to go to community college.” Dash said.
“And I got a little modeling job so I can do the same, plus my grandparents had kids young so their really excited to spend their golden years with their great-grandchild, you’ll have to come visit.”
“Of course...as long as there are no atomic wedgies waiting for me when I do.”
Dash scoffed.
“Only if you earned it pal, I’m trying this whole, act my age thing, it’s going pretty well.”
They laughed and Dash and Paulina were called by their parents, Danny waved and went to look for Tucker and Sam. He found them just arriving fixing their clothes as they moved toward him.
“Did you guys just get here?”
“Yeah, we over slept.” Sam said shooting Tucker a dirty look.
“I said I was sorry.”
“What did you do?”
“He was fiddling with the alarm clock he said he would turn it up so we could get up extra early and like an idiot I watched a movie marathon with him.”
He laughed.
“Hey were you and Dash actually talking?”
“You saw?”
“Yeah when were pulling up.”
“Yeah go figure, he’s just one of those people that really changes when there is a kid involved.”
“Oh that’s great.” Sam said.
She and Paulina were sort of on good terms but Paulina had remained shallow and preppy until the day she went into labor. Sam tried not to judge her future parenting skills but Paulina certainly didn’t act like she was going to make a change over night if she had to.
“Sam, Tucker, Danny!”
They turned to Maddie who was waving a camera at them, she was standing with Valerie.
“Well let’s go get some glamour shots.”

After the ceremony and a hundred or so congratulations Maddie pulled Danny aside.
“Something wrong Mom?”
“Are you sure you would rather have a graduation party instead of a birthday party honey?”
“Mom I told you I don’t need two parties.”
“So if it’s a graduation party then I can invite whoever?”
He raised an eyebrow.
“Who did you invite?”
“Well...” she glanced toward city hall.
He sighed.
“Mom tell me you didn’t.”
“Oh Danny he’s a family friend.”
He shook his head.
“It’ll be fine, besides he wants to give you a gift.”
“Why me? My friends know him too.”
“Oh he has a gift for them too.”
“Sure whatever you say.”
She kissed his forehead and went to talk to Jack.
“What was that about Danny?”
He turned to his friends and told them about the upcoming party.
“Really? But that old fruit loop can’t stand us there is going to be a fight I know it.” Tucker said.
“Well maybe not, maybe he’s changed, he’s been really putting an effort into his job over the past few years, I mean he is always so worried about keeping up appearances he wouldn’t do anything to us with witnesses.” Sam said.
That was true after the school was blown up in a not so freak, freak accident and all the records were destroyed he stopped fighting them. It was a huge disappointment since everyone in the younger grades had to start over. The seniors were taken care obviously, Vlad hadn’t bothered any of them while they completed highschool.
“Maybe so, but we’ll worry about him later what should we do today?” Valerie said.
“Let’s go see the new horror movie, face muncher 3.”
They groaned.
“Tucker, the name alone sounds crappy.” Sam said.
“Oh come on, it’s a triple x rated movie and tickets are free for graduates sporting their graduation gear.”
They shrugged he cheered, nothing like free stuff to motivate people to do things they don’t to.

Vlad’s mansion...
Vlad jumped as his phone rang and answered as he realized he wasn’t in danger.
“Hello?”
“Hi Vlad.”
He smiled a little hearing Maddie’s voice.
“Was Daniel alright with me coming to the party?”
“Of course, I told him today.”
“Good then I’ll see you at the party.”
“Speaking of today why weren’t you there?”
“I had too much paperwork I had been putting off.”
“You? Putting off work that’s funny, what’s the real reason?”
He glanced over his shoulder at the lump under the covers.
“Well.....”
“Oh I knew it, what’s her name?”
He cleared his throat and she actually gasped.
“His name? I didn’t know you preferred men.”
“How can you figure that out only by the sound of me clearing my throat?”
“Am I wrong?”
He didn’t say anything.
“Well he can come too.”
“Oh no he’s going out of town he won’t be back until a couple of weeks after the party.”
“Oh that’s too bad, well I hope to meet him when we can, see you later Vlad.”
“Good bye Maddie.”
He hung up and tensed again hearing movement, he swallowed nervously he really hoped he hadn’t just woken his boyfriend up, there would be hell to pay for that.
