Anodite's Spark
Verdona realizes she can make an Anodite with a spark after all and a male at that. She corners Ben, and uses her power and Dna to use the omnitrix and make Ben a permanent Anodite. Kevin wants to protect Ben.
Chapter 1 Birth of a Male Anodite
Verdona had a brilliant idea, and she was so excited about it she raced off to earth to put her plan into action. She should have realized sooner, but there hadn't been a male Anodite in so long she never considered it.
Once on earth it didn't take her long to locate her target. Ben Tennyson.
Ben Gwen and Kevin were at Mr. Smoothy. It took a few minutes before Gwen sensed Verdona had arrived. "Kevin don't get mad…" Gwen said turning towards the direction Grandma Verdona was in. "What is it Gwen?"
"Grandma Verdona is…" Verdona appeared in a flash of purple light and in human form. "…here…"
"Hello everyone good to see you all are well." She spoke and Kevin tensed, Ben however stopped drinking his smoothy and smiled at her. "Hey Grandma Verdona what are you doing here?"
"And when are you leaving…?" Kevin said standing up. "Kevin?" Gwen yelled and turned back to Verdona. "I'm so sorry Grandma…"
"It's ok Gwen I'm happy to see you all in such high spirits…" She spoke happily. "You're not here to get me to train with you are you…?"
"Not that I don't want you to come with me, dear, but I'm here for another reason…" Verdona's right hand reverted back to anodite form and quickly she reached out and grabbed Ben. Her anodite hand touched the omnitrix, and the thing flashed yellow before beeping. "Anodite DNA Accepted and Unlocked…"
"Hey!" Ben gasped as a flash of green light enveloped him. "Ben!" Kevin and Gwen shouted together. Ben's human form now gone and was now in a green version of an Anodite body, though he did not have the long flowing energy hair. The omnitrix appeared briefly on Ben's chest before being absorbed into his body.
"Wow this is different, it feels so weird, but awesome…" Ben shouted as the now mana supercharged teen jutted up into the air and was flying round and round. "I'm so glad you approve…" Verdona smiled happily and clapped her hands together.
"What, How, Why did you do this!" Kevin snapped. "Relax Kevin I'm sure she has a good reason for this, right Grandma?"
"Well of course I have a good reason, there hasn't been a male anodite seen in such a long time, and I knew Ben would be perfect for it." Gwen and Kevin's jaws dropped in shock at the selfish reason.
Ben who was still zipping around above was unaware of the scene going on below.
"Well, sorry to break it to ya scary Grandma, but once the omnitrix times out, Ben goes back to being a human, and no more male anodite…" Kevin said with a confident smirk.
Verdona chuckled. "Silly Kevin did you think I would come all the way here, if such a trivial matter could stop me…" This made Kevin frown. "Ben has the same spark that Max had, I always believed he would have made an amazing anodite, but now that mana powers have been awakened in Ben, that spark will never go out and Ben will remain an anodite forever."
"How can you do this?" Gwen snapped. Kevin agreed but all conversation ended as Ben came floating back down. "This is so awesome thank you so much…" Ben said and hugged the older anodite. "Anytime kiddo…"
"Ben you need to know, she made you an anodite permanently. Now you're stuck like this…" Kevin said and Ben froze he pulled away slightly. Ben looked at Verdona. "Is this true I can't ever go back to being human, or go hero ever again?" Ben's body radiated sadness and worry.
"Now I didn't say that, just as I have a human form and Gwen does so will you, now focus remember your bodies form, just picture it in your mind and focus."
Ben brightened up and closed his eyes and began to focus. In a flash Ben's body began to reform Kevin and Gwen blushed because Ben hadn't manifested clothes yet he stood in all his naked glory for a good minute. Kevin had to turn around as he nursed a bloody nose. 'I saw everything…' He couldn't believe it, he was turned on. Ben's clothing manifested itself, and Ben and Gwen didn't notice Kevin's trouble seeing the naked Ben, Verdona noticed but kept her knowledge hidden by a smile.
"Now what about the omnitrix…" Ben asked holding up his bare wrist. "It's still connected to you, it will join you in due time, and now that you're an anodite you can draw out your aliens mana along with their dna, now you'll be a double threat…"
"This is so cool…" Ben said and true to her words, there was a beeping sound and the omnitrix reappeared on Ben's wrist.
"Let me guess now you want Ben to go with you, to train just like you want Gwen." Kevin said composing himself as he turned back to face Verdona.
"Not exactly Ben has a good handle on using alien powers, I'm sure he will do fine…" Verdona said and turned her glance at Kevin. "Wouldn't want to take him away from those who care about him so much…"
Kevin blushed and quickly turned his head away so the now anodite cousins wouldn't see.
"Well I'll be going I look forward to seeing both of you progress…" Verdona said and gave Ben and Gwen a hug. Kevin stayed a good distance away from her but noticed the wink she sent his way. 'What's that about…'
Verdona left secret knowledge she should have shared but didn't cause she thought it would be more fun. "A male anodite's powers are connected more to their emotions and desires it's impossible to train them and dangerous because the slightest push to anger could make an anodite with the greatest control become a furious power to be reckoned with…"
Back on Earth
"Well this is new never a dull day around here…well let's get another smoothy…" A flash of pink light and there was a new smoothy in his hands. "Wow…" Ben took a drink. "And it's good I can conjure up a good smoothy…"
Ben walked towards Kevin's car drinking the smoothy he had conjured, Gwen quickly followed after her now anodite cousin. Kevin stared at his retreating back and felt a huge worry grip his chest.
'Ben is this really ok…' Kevin thought and Ben waved him over. "Kevin come on let's go for a drive see if there's any baddies we can bust…"
"Guess there's no choice but to watch his back…" Kevin pulled out his keys and walked over to his car to go looking for trouble.
And thus Ben is now a male anodite, Kevin's worry may be warranted…
