I was born on an extremely damp and rainy day. That is perhaps the reason why my body and wings are steel grey like the sky when it's about to rain. My mane and tail very dark blue, almost black, with a couple of silver streaks – like a cloud during a torrential storm, braided with a lightning bolt. And they never look good, so nowadays I like to keep them as short as possible. The only thing I've always liked about myself are my eyes – they're soft and silky like a starry night. That's how Winter would describe them anyway.
I was the weird pony at school. You know, the un-colourful mare, always staying quiet, face hid behind her hair. I found the conversations about fashion and accessories extremely dull and shallow. Other ponies weren't in the least interesting. So I just ignored them and was perfectly happy that way. That was until I met Winter Wind. She transferred to our school during our penultimate year. I've watched and admired from far away. It could have been that I was a bit jealous – she was a snow white unicorn, with a long, wavy silver mane. It flew behind her when she walked. Here eyes were of the purest crystal blue. Her cutie mark was a snowflake. She immediately became popular with everypony.
'Who is that?' Winter Wind asked one of the numerous chattering ponies surrounding her. She noticed the steel coloured pegasus right away. There was something mysterious about that mare. She felt the sudden urge to hear her voice and see the eyes hidden behind a thick mane.
'Who? Oh, never mind her – she hardly ever speaks – you must tell us more about the capital!'
Wind caught a glance of the mare in question. To her great displeasure she was leaving. She simply couldn't let that happen! Saying something about being in a hurry she raced outside after the pegasus.
'Hey, wait up!' She exclaimed trotting behind her. The grey pony didn't react at all.
'I said: wait up!!!” Wind shouted from the top of her lungs. Finally the pegasus stopped.
'You were talking to me?' Asked a silent voice coming from behind a curtain of nearly black hair with silver streaks.
'Sure I was! I wanted to get to know you! You seam cute.' Said the unicorn in one breath, drawing closer. The grey one remained silent.
'My name is Winter Wind and I've recently transferred. What's your name?'
'Cloudy Lunge.' The soft, melodic voice replied.
'I was watching you, you know. Why don't you ever talk to anypony?'
'I don't have anything to talk about with them.' Cloudy muttered.
'But... aren't you lonely?'
'And why would that concern you?' Asked the pegasus taking off and leaving the unicorn in the middle of a conversation. Wind thought to herself that despite lacking good manners the new pony she met was anything but boring. On the following days she continued to greet Cloudy Lunge each time she saw her. Initially the pegasus merely nodded her head in reply, but soon enough she started to return the greetings. Winter could be very stubborn when she wanted to and did everything to meet Cloudy as often as possible. As they started to talk and got to know each other it turned out that they had may things in common. They both shared a liking to similar books and music. They both preferred quiet and solitude over the bustling and chattering crowd. Cloudy was comfortable enough to sing for her friend – and she had a lovely voice with bits of laughter floating in it like tiny crystals of sugar dissolving in a cup of tea. And then, on a warm autumn afternoon...
'What's your goal here, anyway?' asked the pegasus when they were enjoying the warm beams of the sun. The leaves were turning colours ranging from yellow to crimson.
'I want to get to know you better. I've already told you I think you're cute.' Was the reply.
'You really are as stubborn as a mule.' The pegasus gave away a silent laugh.
'That's the first time I ever heard you laugh!' The unicorn placed her hoof on Cloudy's shoulder. As she did so she accidentally brushed away Lunge's mane and caught a glimpse of her usually hidden face.
'Why do you always hide your eyes? Isn't it hard to see this way?' She asked while gently brushing the hair from Cloudy's face and gazing into her eyes. They were silky soft, very dark blue, nearly black. The deepest, wisest, most tender eyes Winter has ever seen.
'See, it's not that scary to show your eyes, isn't it?' She asked smiling breaking the magical silence between them.
'How can you even see from behind all that hair?'
'Didn't you know I'm a bat?' Chuckled the pegasus.
'You have to let me braid it!'
'What, now?'
'Yeah, why not?' Asked the unicorn.
'It will be a miracle if you'll manage to comb it out.'
'You forgot about one thing I have and you don't.' Winter replied with a smug smile, taping her horn.
'You know, I've never seen you use magic before.'
'Sit back and gaze upon the awesome magic of the all-powerful Winter Wind! Behold! A Hairbrush!' She exclaimed pulling the said grooming grooming utensil out of her bag.
'Ta-da!' The hairbrush slowly floated towards the pegasus's mane.
'Don't worry, I'll be very gentle with you.' Winter Wind giggled.
'Let me know if it hurts, OK?' The brush started combing the dark mane.
'For now I can bear with it. You know, it kinda feels good.'
'You never had anypony do this for you?'
'Not really, it feels better when somepony else is doing it.' Suddenly Cloudy flinched.
'Oh, sorry dear. I'll have to do it with my mouth. Stay still. I'm pretty good at this.' Winter Wind ceased to levitate the brush and did as she said. For a moment both friends remained silent. When Winter Wind was working on the fringe she stopped for a moment and had a good look at Cloudy's face. To her amazement her winged friend was slightly blushing.
'You know... when we were talking before, about combing my hair... for a moment I thought...I-I-I thought...' The pegasus spoke quickly, she was visibly nervous. Winter drew her face even closer, her eyes were glazed over with happiness and expectation. Cloudy breathed in.
'I'm very happy to have you by my side, Winter Wind. I'm glad to have met you. Nopony in Equestria understands me like you and nopony is as precious as you are to me.' The pegasus grew silent, as if afraid she said too much. The unicorn spat out the hairbrush.
'Aw, you're my most darling, precious, adorable friend!' She exclaimed locking Cloudy in a firm hug. She noticed that for a moment her friends body stiffened. Perhaps she didn't like being touched? When Winter wanted to back out and calm her down with a joke Cloudy returned the hug with all her might, she clung to Winter as if she wanted to confirm her.
'Woha, careful there, or we're going to...' Started the unicorn, but it was too late. They lost balance and somehow Winter Wind ended lying on top of Cloudy Lunge. They both started giggling like crazy. The unicorn could see tears glistening in her friends dark eyes.
'You laughed yourself to tears!' She stammered out. And then she surprised herself. Instead of getting off her friend she licked away a tear from the corner of her eye. Cloudy turned beet red in a blink of an eye. She tensed in Winters embrace.
'Why did you do that?' She asked tearfully, her face full of disbelief.
'I had my hoofs full, so I used my mouth instead.' Explained the unicorn strengthening her embrace as if she was afraid the winged one would flee. She made up her mind – she won't ever let go of this pony. She just had to make sure she was right in reading the signals.
'Did that bother you?' She asked in a low, husky voice.
'No.' Was the reply in a very small voice.
'You'll have to speak up, I didn't hear you.' Winter whispered into Cloudy's ear. The pegasus's eyes went wide open. She finally realized something. This kind of thing couldn't be happening in reality. So she was having a wonderful dream.
'I'm dreaming this, right?'
'And why would you think this is a dream.' Asked the unicorn gently nibbling on her ear.
'Because, because you're holding me, and whispering to my ear, and you feel so soft and you smell so good, and... and...'
'If anypony is dreaming it has to be me. I'm holding the most adorably blushing pony in all Equestria'
Cloudy raised her sight looked deeply into Winters eyes. The white pony felt like she was drowning in those beautiful tender eyes. She was painfully aware of how good it felt to hold her and how adorably helpless she looked beneath her, her mane in disarray. And she simply couldn't help it, she had to kiss her. As their lips met Winter was both surprised and happy to discover that not only did Cloudy not resist her, but also keenly wrapped her limbs around her and was completely drawn into the kiss. After gently sampling each others lips and gently sampling each other with their tongues they gradually became more greedy and impatient. Their kiss became deeper, their embrace tighter, their heartbeats quickened, their breathing became heavier.
Finally the unicorn broke away.
'If we don't get up soon somepony's going to find us.' She silently whispered into the pegasus's ear.
'Don't wanna.' The grey pony pouted and pressed her body even harder against Winter. She dug her brightly red face into her friends long mane.
'We can... continue once we get home.' proposed the white pony.
'You promise?' Cloudy looked at her with puppy dog eyes. Winter felt her blood rushing.
'Yes.'
'Deal!' The pegassus's face showed the biggest, happiest smile Wind has ever seen.
Oh, hai there! This is my first try with ponies. I feel like there aren't enough stories involving ponies. It is also my first go at trying to create OCs. Do let me know how much it sucked - I'll love and tolerate the living hell out of you lot anyway.
I've left an open ending so perhaps if I'm feeling up to it I'll whip out a sequel.
