In a hollow atop a low hill were the steaming hot pools of Kyoshi Island. Surrounded on all sides by high trees, there were more than a half dozen carefully maintained hot springs with many low stone benches around them exclusively for the use of the island’s elite warriors.
Two such warriors were making use of one of those benches now, their naked skin glistening wet in the steamy afternoon air from their earlier soak in the pools. One of them, a young woman with brown hair held back in a long braid and light, golden skin lay of her front on a bench while crouched over her, a heavily muscled young man with shorter hair to match hers and dark skin had his large hands pressed to her back, fingers digging into the soft skin between her shoulder blades as he pushed against her.
The young mans face showed the strain of his efforts while the young woman beneath him moaned with obvious pleasure.
“Change the angle a bit, Sokka.” the young woman moaned as the young man pushed against her, “Oh, yeah. Harder…harder.”
“I’m doing it as hard as I can, Ty.” the young man said in a strained voice but still his shoulders hunched as he pushed against her with more force.
“Just don’t stop. Nearly there.” the young woman said with a gasp and then moaned, “It’s nearly…I can feel it…it’s…ahhhhh!”
The young woman’s moans grew in volume until she tensed slightly before her entire body relaxed, her arms dropping to the ground from her sides to hang down either side of the bench limply. The young man rubbed her shoulders gently now before he lifted himself away and stood beside the bench, lacing his fingers together to crack his knuckles loudly.
“How was that, Ty?” Sokka said to the unmoving woman as he flexed his arms, muscles ripping in his arms and chest, “You look like you enjoyed that.”
The young woman remained face down on the bench at first, giving a soft contented giggle before she pushed herself up with a sigh. Ty lee sat on the bench, brushing at her moist breasts and stomach before she smiled up at Sokka.
“You did great, Sokka. You’re wonderful at getting the knots out of my back.” Ty Lee breathed happily, raising her arms and stretching, “Almost as good as my Baby’s feet.”
“Mind if we join you two?” a new voice rang out in the clearing, Sokka and Ty Lee looking up to see two other warriors making their way down to the pools.
The naked man and woman smiled to see these newcomers, both wearing the green silk kimono and leather armor that marked them as Kyoshi Warriors. One, a full head shorter than her companion, had long black hair pulled up into a loose bun on the back of her head, the copper square on the headband about her forehead marking her as an adept warrior while her companion, not only taller and with short auburn hair, wore a different headband adorned with the twin fans that marked her as the captain and leader of the warriors. Both had their faces painted white but for the red on their lips and eyelids and while the taller had eyes of piercing blue, the shorter girl’s eyes were light, misty green.
“Baby.” Ty Lee gushed happily, leaping from her seat she flipped once in the air to land directly before the shorter warrior and wrapper her in a powerful embrace.
The two girls embraced happily while the Kyoshi captain made her way to the young man, both embracing just as warmly. Of the two young women, the shorter girl in her uniform reveled in the feel of her lover’s naked body pressed against hers and pulled away only with great reluctance.
“Hey, Sweetcheeks.” the girl said, her pale blind eyes looking past her lover, “Looks like Snoozles did a good job on you. Is your back feeling better?”
“Oh, yes. Just as good as when you use your feet on my shoulders.” Ty Lee said happily, twisting her back from side to side, “He’s got just the right strength for it and he’s the only guy on the island I trust to do it.”
“He’s lucky I trust him too.” the young woman before Ty Lee growled, “Or I might have to snap him in two.”
“Toph. Yuck. You two are like my sisters.” Sokka said with a frown before he smiled down at the young woman in his own embrace, “And as if I’d do anything to risk losing my most fabulous Suki.”
“Hmm, and that’s what makes you the best husband in the world.” Suki said, looking up at her husband with pure love as she slipped her arms about him again. Though she only held the embrace for a moment before she slipped an arm down between them and gripped Sokka’s flaccid member in her hand, making both him and his appendage jump, “And I like that his sword is all mine.”
The four friends shared a light chuckle, although Toph grimaced as Sokka and Suki began to share a passionate kiss, the young woman’s hand still gripping her husband between them.
“Before you two start banging away at each other, I’d like to have a wash first.” Toph said in an annoyed tone, “You can have your little romp when me and Ty get out of here.”
“Yeah.” Ty Lee said with mock anger and grinned at them, “Then me and Toph can have ours.”
After another light laugh shared between them, Ty Lee moved around to help Toph start removing her armor and kimono as Sokka did the same with Suki, soon stripping their respective partners as bare as themselves. Toph gave a loud sigh as her chest wrappings were removed and raised her arms in the air, stretching and reveling in the freedom and the cool breeze on her bare skin.
Now at 16, Toph was still the shortest amongst her friends but she had filled out considerably as she matured. Her once boyish chest now sported a pair of breasts equal to her partner’s that she usually preferred to keep tightly wrapped when she was in uniform and her thin frame with pale, flawless skin appeared soft and feminine when she was relaxed but exploded with well defined muscle when she stretched and tensed, something that Ty Lee always got a little thrill from watching.
As for Ty Lee, apart from appearing a little thinner in the face and a little taller, at 17 she was if anything even more beautiful than she had been when she had first arrived on Kyoshi Island, something Toph was fond of telling her often and a fact confirmed by the many stares the young woman received when she wandered about the island.
Sokka and Suki however were the most noticeably different. At 18 Sokka had grown enormously after a youth spent in training, hunting, fishing and working around the island. The young man’s 6 foot frame practically bulged with muscle, a fact he was often overly proud of but only truly enjoyed when his appearance caught the attention of the one he loved. Suki, a few months younger than her husband and still 17, was like Toph or Ty Lee in that she had grown only a little as she matured, her shoulders and hips a little wider, her auburn hair a little longer than it used to be but her most striking difference was the small bulge evident on her lower belly.
Sokka and Suki had married on the island a little over a year before, all of their friends and family coming to the event and the island’s inhabitants experiencing a celebration like never before. The pair now lived in a modest timber home that Sokka himself had built for them, built alongside a small stream that ran through the village and he had even added a small workshop for himself and a training room for Suki. Another celebration had been held in the village a few months before now when the young couple had announced they were expecting their first child.
After their separate adventures in the war several years before, the two couples had become close friends since they had returned to Kyoshi Island. Their closeness meaning they could truly relax around one another as they were now.
Sokka helped his wife into one of the steaming pools as Ty Lee led Toph over to another, the Earthbender and Kyoshi captain thoroughly enjoying the attention as their partners then commenced washing them down. They were washed in record time, allowing the couples to enjoy fresh embraces, reveling in the sensation of bare skin pressed to bare skin, lips and tongues meeting hungrily. When Ty Lee and Toph broke their kiss however, their attention was caught by soft moans from the pool beside theirs, Sokka’s mouth still working eagerly against his wife’s, one of Suki’s hands around his neck and her other arm busy beneath the water, doing something her husband was obviously enjoying.
“I guess that’s our cue to head for home, Sweetcheeks.” Toph said with a wry grin, getting a small giggle from Ty Lee as they climbed from the pool. As they collected their clothes, Toph turned back with a wider grin, “At least you don’t have to go bangin at her back door all the time now, Snoozles. You already got her pregnant.”
Pulling his face from Suki’s, Sokka looked up with a frown.
“I still say you’ve been spying on us.” Sokka said in an annoyed tone.
“And I still say it’s your own damn fault, Snoozles.” Toph returned with the same grin as she threw her kimono loosely over her shoulders, “What do you expect when you do it at night, when everything’s quiet and still and I can see everything on the whole damn island.”
Ty Lee giggled loudly, in truth she and Toph had on occasion watched the other couple in secret and been watched in return but the four friends only laughed before Suki turned slightly and winked at Toph and Ty Lee.
“Don’t knock it till you try it.” Suki purred and turned back to Sokka, pulling him close once more, “And you get your mouth…and that sword of yours back to work and you might get to try it again.”
Sokka chuckled warmly, obeying his wife without hesitation and the other two women were quick to grab the last of their things and start back for the village.
They carried their armor under one arm and their still damp skin caused their kimonos to cling to their bare skin. Ty Lee was not a very tall girl herself meaning the height difference between her and Toph was not terribly noticeable and they made a striking pair as they made their way out of the hollow with the hot pools. They had only just made their way beyond however when they ran into two of the other warriors.
Both of these girls were senior warriors, still dressed in their kimonos and armor, their face paint making them all but indistinguishable from one another except for one’s short auburn hair very much like Suki’s while the other had longer hair of dark brown.
“Hey Sanna, Lisomi.” Ty Lee greeted the pair brightly, “How was the rest of training?”
“A little too exciting after you hurt your back.” the girl who resembled Suki, Sanna said, “Suki and Toph here had us all trying to run the obstacle course while she made the earth shake.”
“Yes, it was such fun.” the brown haired girl, Lisomi added dryly, her eyes then turning to appraise Ty Lee’s figure in her damp and clinging kimono, “So how’s your back?”
“Better now but I suppose it serves me right for pushing myself this morning. I just want you girls to learn as much as you can before me and Toph head off for the Firenation.” Ty Lee informed them, twisting her back from side to side again, “Sokka fixed me up though. I tell you girls, sometimes I envy Suki, that man has magic fingers.”
The two warriors blinked in surprise at this statement but Toph’s grin only grew at their reaction while Ty Lee seemed not to notice.
“How can you stand to have his hands all over you?” Sanna said with a shudder and turned to Toph, “And how can you stand to let her? I wouldn’t let any guy near my Lisomi.”
“I trust Sokka with my life, the same as I trust Suki or even you guys.” Toph said gruffly, “But I’d trust Sokka to give me or Ty a full body massage before I’d trust you two. At least he doesn’t grope.”
This last Toph added with her face turned pointedly toward Lisomi who was thankful her face paint concealed her blushing features. Sanna however frowned darkly at her partner before she turned back to the other two and changed the subject.
“So, when are you two heading off to help the Avatar and the Firelord?”
“Zuko’s airship should be here tomorrow, which is why I was trying to show you all the more advanced acrobatics this morning when I strained my back.” Ty Lee said, bouncing on the balls of her feet with barely restrained excitement, “Me and Toph were just headed home to finish packing. We can’t wait to see Aang and Katara and Mai. Did you know Mai’s having a baby like Suki? I’m going to be an Aunty.”
“I didn’t know you and the Firelady were related.” Lisomi said curiously.
“Oh, we’re not related but Mai wants me to be her baby’s godmother. Isn’t that amazing?” Ty Lee gushed happily, “I just hope we can be there for the birth. I bet Mai and Zuko’s baby will be such a cutie and I’m going to pick the baby out some pretty pink dresses if it’s a girl or some nice red jammies if it’s a boy and me and Toph will take the baby for walks and teach it to jump and cartwheel and get into all sorts of mischief and,”
“Ty Lee. Ty Lee, breath.” Sanna said with a smile, the other warriors long used to Ty Lee’s excitable nature, “That’s wonderful, Ty. If we don’t see you guys before you go tomorrow then take care and be sure you write, ok?”
“I’ll write you every day.” Toph said with a grin.
The other two warriors rolled their eyes at the blind Earthbender’s humor but the four girls quickly exchanged embraces before they parted to go their separate ways but before they did, Sanna paused.
“Are my cousin and her husband up at the hot springs?” Sanna asked with a sour expression, “I don’t want to walk in on them…doing it…yet again.”
“Nah, they were just relaxing in the water.” Toph informed her with a straight face, “Suki said she’s too worn out for Sokka to be jumping her bones today.”
“Oh, good.” Sanna said, visibly relaxing, “Well, I hope we see you before you go tomorrow. Bye.”
The two fully dressed warriors turned to continue up the hill as Toph took Ty Lee’s hand to lead her the other way. Ty Lee’s face was looking oddly strained, her lips pressed tightly together and small, barely contained snorts escaping her nose.
“Wait for it.” Toph said to her quietly as they made their way toward the village, “Just wait.”
They didn’t have to wait long before a loud cry of disgust rose into the afternoon air quickly followed by Sanna’s aggrieved shout.
“Toph, you bloody liar.”
Ty Lee let the laughter flow and Toph joined her, the pair then breaking into an easy run back to the village, escaping before Sanna and Lisomi could find them and exact their revenge.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sometime later the two girls had completed their packing and foregoing the usual evening meal, had opted instead to retire to their bed even though the sun was still out and sleep was the last thing on their minds.
Ty Lee’s back was arched up from the bed at an impossible angle, her legs spread wide but stiffened and trembling as her body was wracked with pleasure. A head topped by a large bun of black hair worked busily between Ty Lee’s legs, Toph's fingers, lips and tongue bringing her lover a powerful release that Ty Lee gave an enthusiastic and loud cry to before her back settled down onto the mattress, twitches and spasms running through her before Toph finally lifted herself up.
Laying herself atop her lover, Toph’s lips found Ty Lee’s and the two kissed passionately for several minutes, Ty Lee’s breathlessness and half lidded eyes bringing a smile to Toph’s face. When they broke their kiss, Ty Lee enjoyed the illusion that Toph’s misty green eyes were gazing back into her light grey orbs, enjoying too the feel of her lover’s bare chest pressed into her own.
“I love you so much, Baby.” Ty Lee said, smiling warmly.
“I love you too, my sweet Ty Lee.” Toph purred in response.
Their lips met again and the pair lost themselves in each other for several more minutes until Toph broke away, sitting back on the bad and biting at her lip as though unsure about something.
“Are you ok, Baby?” Ty Lee asked with concern.
“Oh, yeah. There’s just something…something I wanted to ask you.” Toph started hesitantly before she firmed her resolve, slipping off the bed and moving to the far wall, “I was going to wait until we got back from our mission for this but,”
Ty Lee sat up and watched curiously as Toph kicked her foot against the stone floor of their small house, her Earthbending causing the floor to split open and revealing a cavity beneath. Crouching down, Toph reached within, rising again with something clutched in her fist. Ty Lee shifted around to sit on the edge of the bed and Toph came over to kneel before her on the floor, resting her empty hand on her lover’s knee. But for a moment Toph hesitated again, uncertainty and worry plain on her face and Ty Lee reached out to brush the young woman’s bangs from her face, something Toph would never allow anyone else to do.
“Ty. We’ve been together a few years.” Toph started slowly and paused.
“A little over three of the best years of my life.” Ty Lee said softly, leaning forward to kiss Toph’s forehead.
“The best years of my life too, Sweetcheeks.” Toph said, relaxing a little as she smiled, “And even before we came to this island, before even that crazy adventure we had getting here, I knew that you were someone I could open my heart to, someone I could spend the rest of my life with.”
Her nervousness returning, Toph raised her other hand and opened it between them, Ty Lee’s breath catching in her throat as she looked at what lay on her lover’s palm.
“Ty Lee. Would you do me the honor of becoming my wife,” Toph almost whispered, her voice cracking slightly, “and allow me to become your wife in return?”
Slowly, her own hand trembling, Ty Lee reached out and lifted a small silver ring from Toph’s hand. It was formed of mirror bright coils of metal woven into the shape of a ring and set upon it was a perfectly cut diamond with a light, pinkish tint and shaped like a small heart.
“I. I. I. I. I. I,” Ty Lee started, unable to find her voice at first and Toph’s heart hammered in fear and anticipation until Ty Lee suddenly squealed loudly, wrapping Toph in a bone crushing embrace, “YES! Yes, oh yes, Tophy. Yes.”
Tears flowed from Ty Lee’s eyes and Toph battled her own before she gave in and the two young women wept in mutual joy. When they pulled apart, it was only for Toph to slip the ring onto Ty Lee’s finger before they wrapped their arms about each other once more, their lips meeting with renewed vigor and passion.
“Thank you, Ty.” Toph whispered as she laid her head on Ty Lee’s shoulder, “You always make me so happy.”
“Just as you do for me, Baby.” Ty Lee said warmly, her head resting on Toph’s shoulder with her hand held up before her tear filled eyes, gazing at the ring, “I love you, Toph and nothing would make me happier than to be your wife.”
“I love you too, future Mrs. Sweetcheeks.” Toph said, grinning as Ty Lee giggled before she pulled back a little, “Should we go out and tell everyone the news?”
“No. They can wait till tomorrow.” Ty Lee said flatly. Then half rising, Ty Lee grabbed Toph, turning them about to push her lover back onto the bed and then climbing on herself to crouch over Toph, “For the rest of today and tonight, I’m going to be busy screwing my fiancée’s brains out.”
“Ohh, I think I’m going to propose every day.” Toph said huskily as Ty Lee’s lips came down to mash against hers.

On the outskirts of the village, the chieftain, a short, portly man with a shock of grey hair was sitting outside his home having tea with his niece and her husband and enjoying the early evening when a powerful tremor passed through the ground beneath them, the cups and teapot on the small table next to where they sat rattling about.
“Damn it.” the old man scowled as he turned to look into the village and then back to Sokka, “I thought you said that bed you made them was supposed to keep her off the ground and prevent this.”
“It is…or was. I guess they’re just a bit…over excited.” Sokka said, his face coloring in embarrassment but he grinned as he looked to his wife, “Do you think Toph finally popped the question?”
“I would guess so, she’s been agonizing over it to me for months but I told her Ty would say yes.” Suki said with a knowing smile and looked to the old man with them, “It looks like we’ll have a wedding to plan when they get back from their mission to the Firenation, Uncle Oyaji.”
As Suki finished speaking, another more powerful tremor passed through the ground, the teapot and two cups rattling their way to the edge of the table before falling to smash on the ground. As the tremor passed, Oyaji scowled again at the loss of his teapot.
“Well, at least they’ll be out of here tomorrow.” the old man grumped, “But before they get back for the wedding I want you,” Sokka blinked as Oyaji stabbed a finger at him, “to design and built them a house on the tallest stilts you can make. Or better yet, build the house in the tallest tree you can find.”
Sokka and Suki exchanged amused smiles before yet another, even stronger earthquake shook the village, people emerging from their homes to frown in the direction of the small house that Toph and Ty Lee shared.
“How about a houseboat?” Sokka said, only half joking.
“Perfect!” Oyaji shouted as the earth shook again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Far away from Kyoshi Island, in the north western wilds of the Firenation, two other people were locked in an embrace. But far from feeling amorous, this husband and wife’s faces reflected the horror they felt at what their eyes were seeing.
A young man, bald and adorned with blue arrow tattoos, wearing loose tan and orange robes, stood with his wife, a beautiful young woman with dark skin and long dark brown hair hanging loosely down her back but for a small topknot atop her head. She was dressed lightly in tank top and loose fitting pants of deep blue and had twin waterskins fixed to her waist.
They were dressed thusly to combat the oppressive heat of the jungles around them, the trees so thick they had been forced to leave their flying companion, Appa the world’s last air bison, back in the Firenation capitol of Hinomoto, leaving them to make their way to this remote part of the nation on foot. It had been a couple days hard going to reach this place where the quarry they sought had last been sighted but upon breaking through the trees into a clearing containing a small village, they had found a scene of death and devastation.
There were only a half dozen military styled barracks and buildings of timber but each and every one showed signs of recent occupation and the remains of those who had occupied it lay scattered about. The ground had been torn up, some of the buildings damaged and blood was everywhere.
“These must be the rogue soldiers Zuko warned us were hiding up here.” Aang said softly, he and his wife remaining at the edge of the clearing, neither desiring to move into the village itself, “I don’t know what killed them all but some of this looks like Earthbending and look at that.”
He pointed at one of the closer buildings where part of the roof and a wall had been cut away neatly as though by a giant knife.
“A Waterbending strike.” Katara said softly, her eyes going back to those bodies she could see scattered around, “But Aang, some of these men, I’ll need to do a…closer examination but it looks like someone drew the blood from their bodies. A Waterbender who can Bloodbend like me…or maybe Hama.”
“Hama’s still in prison, Babe. We checked remember?” Aang said distractedly, his eyes locked onto a corpse nearby, “And it looks like more than just their blood was drawn from them.”
Following her husband’s gaze, Katara looked at a corpse of a man still wearing the outdated chest armor of a soldier in the Firenation’s army, one of the old Firelord’s soldiers who had gone rogue after the war. This corpse was in slightly better condition than most of the others but this only made the frozen expression of pain and fear on the dead man’s face easier to see. The odd thing about this body though was that his trousers had been stripped from him, the corpse’s still erect member, obscenely bloated with blood, pointing up at the sky.
“Could Azula really be the one who did all this?” Katara breathed, swallowing as she felt her stomach twist in protest of what she saw.
“Apart from the signs of Earthbending it fits with what happened when she escaped three years ago.” Aang said quietly, “They way these guys have been killed matches that too and the few other sightings there’s been of her since. The drawing of the blood from her victim’s bodies and the strange…rapes.”
Katara shuddered, turning away from the grisly scene of death before them and pressing herself to her husband’s side. Aang pulled his own eyes away, looking up into the afternoon sky before he looked to Katara.
“How about we go away from here…far away.” Aang said to her, “We’ll make camp for tonight and come back tomorrow to investigate and bury the dead.”
“Yes, that sounds good.” she agreed readily, “I really don’t want to be here when it gets dark.”
Aang and Katara, husband and wife, were in truth barely newlyweds since they had been married scant months before and had answered their friend, Firelord Zuko’s plea for help almost straight after their honeymoon.
The young Airbender, a fully realized Avatar at the age of 16 when most previous Avatars had only begun their training at his age, had grown tall over the last 3 years since the war. At almost 6 feet in height he stood head and shoulders over his wife and while most people would consider him thin, Katara knew from long experience that his lightly muscled frame carried more strength than men twice his size.
Katara herself, always seen as beautiful in Aang’s eyes, had only become even more beautiful by the age she was now. At 17 she had become taller, her deep blue eyes still framed in a rounded face, her breasts and hips filling out and while many men stared appreciatively at what they saw as a soft and pampered woman, Aang could attest that his wife could be hard when she needed to and had considerable strength herself in the muscles beneath that soft, dark skin.
They traveled away from the devastated village for several miles before they found a suitable clearing, Aang Earthbending a simple tent of triangular slabs of stone for them to sleep safely within. Neither felt like eating after their discovery but Katara brewed a small pot of sweet tea and they sat comfortably beside a small fire as darkness fell over the forest. After the last of the light left the sky, their small fire only serving to deepen the darkness around them, they retired to their tent.
She wasn’t sure how long they had been asleep but Katara awoke with a familiar heat in her lower belly and a growing dampness between her legs. Part of her was shocked to find herself feeling this way. Even before their marriage, she and Aang had been intimate together almost every night and since they could both Waterbend, there had been no concerns about making her pregnant. Neither had been in the mood for it tonight however, especially not after what they had seen earlier in the day.
But now, suddenly wide awake and with her desire seemingly awoken before her, Katara snuggled into her sleeping husband’s side. They had long grown accustomed to sleeping nude together and while they had not been thinking of making love, tonight had been no different. As her breasts pressed against Aang’s side, Katara felt a thrill shoot through her body and she let one hand slide down to her waist, slipping it between her legs. She was surprised again at just how wet she had become down there and her hips ground herself against her questing fingers as they danced over sensitive flesh. But Katara wanted more than just her own attentions and pushing herself up, she leaned over Aang intending to awaken him in her own special way. Bringing her face over his flaccid member, Katara gently took him in her hand and blew warm air from her mouth over his tip, feeling the appendage twitch and expand in her hand. Lowering her face further, Katara opened her mouth wide and took his growing member between her lips, Aang responding by moaning loudly, his hips lifting from their sleeping mat from the exquisite sensations his wife was bringing him.
“Oh, Katara.” Aang groaned as he came awake, his hips picking up their pace to match the movements of his wife’s hands and mouth, “Are you sure you want to, Babe? I didn’t think you’d be in the mood.”
“I don’t want to think about what we saw today.” Katara purred as she sat up, her hand continuing to slide up and down her husband’s length, “I just want to concentrate on you tonight, Aang and forget everything else.”
“Maybe I can help you with that.” Aang told her.
Sitting up, Aang took his wife in his arms, his lips finding hers in the darkness, both moaning as their tongues danced across each other. Aang moaned from his wife’s continuing attentions, her hand picking up speed as she pumped his length but Katara moaned in anticipation as her husband’s skilled hands roamed over her body.
Being the reincarnated soul of the Avatar, Aang had access to the skills and knowledge of all his previous lives, something that made him the most powerful Bender in existence. But Aang had discovered it was not just his previous lives fighting or Bending skills her could draw upon, something his wife had learned too and it was what filled her with such delicious anticipation tonight.
Knowing his wife reveled in his touch, Aang was not surprised at her obvious excitement as he slipped one hand down her belly to cup her burning hot and dripping wet womanhood between her legs. He instantly slipped two fingers between her moist folds, his fingertips tap-dancing over the highly sensitive nub there and Katara threw back her head with a soft cry, a shudder passing through her body from the intensity of the feelings her husband generated in her.
Shifting about, only mildly disappointed as his wife’s hand slipped from his engorged manhood, Aang laid Katara back onto their sleeping mat and lowered himself over her. Bringing his face down to her chest, he pursed his lips and combining Airbending with Firebending, blew a soft stream of hot air down over Katara’s breasts. Then he applied a little Waterbending on himself, cooling the saliva in his own mouth almost to the point of freezing before his tongue flicked out, Katara arching her back with a soft gasp as Aang teased one of her dark nipples before drawing it into his cold mouth, suckling upon her with the eagerness of a newborn.
Aang then slipped a hand down between them to again discover the extent of her arousal and employing his Bending skills once more, the young man set the very bones in his fingers to vibrating at high speed as he slipped them into his wife. And still not finished as her hips rose to meet him, Aang began Bending the moisture that was practically flooding from Katara, alternating between heating and cooling her own juices.
The combination of Aang’s attentions, the contrasting temperatures on her chest and between her legs, his thrusting fingers buzzing against her most sensitive flesh within all served to bring Katara to a quick and powerful release. The young woman cried out, her hips lifting clear off the ground as pulses of pleasure shot through her, the sensations continuing for what felt like hours before they finally slowed. Her breathing came in shallow gasps as Katara’s hips slowly lowered back to the ground, her legs trembling beside her husband’s as she reached up to cup his cheeks and draw his face up to hers, her tongue pushing eagerly into his mouth and his meeting hers with equal enthusiasm. As always, the release he had brought to her had been strong but it was only a taste of what was to come and Katara slipped her own hand down between them, gripping Aang’s still very erect member and guided it’s tip to her opening. More than happy to fulfill his wife’s desires, Aang pushed his hips forward slowly, the young couple moaning into each others mouths as his length filled her completely.
“Aang…more…fast.” Katara panted as he began to thrust gently, “Give it to me…faster.”
Again more than happy to comply, Aang pushed himself up on his arms and began to work his hips faster, Katara’s heightened arousal making his motions easy as he began to slam himself in and out of her. Lost in the sensations he was bringing to her, Katara raised her legs up and around, locking her feet together at Aang’s lower back and driving her hips upwards to meet his thrusts. Aang too was loosing himself in the exquisite feelings, the combination of his wife’s moist heat enveloping him, her soft cries growing in volume and the sounds of their bodies meeting as their passions grew. Katara quickly lost track of the number of small releases that flashed through her, one burst of pleasure barely fading before another, stronger one overtook her and as she felt the strongest yet building, Aang’s thrusts grew with equal urgency and Katara knew they would soon both finish with an intensity they had come to expect from their love making.
Which was when everything suddenly went horribly wrong.
Aang was pushing himself as hard and as fast as he could into his wife, knowing from her increasing tightness about him that her release was as immanent as his own and lifting himself up a little more to drive himself even faster, their tent and what felt like the world, exploded.
In the first few seconds, Aang could only raise his head dazedly from the ground, wondering at first what he was doing laying in the dirt near the trees at the edge of the clearing where they had made camp. As his eyes regained their focus however, they shot wide and Aang hastily scrambled to his feet. The large stone tent Aang had created for them had been reduced to rubble scatted about the clearing and in the faint moonlight, Aang could see Katara laying still and unmoving where they had been making love moments before.
“Katara.” Aang called, then clutched at his head as pain shot through him.
One hand came away from his temple bloody and Aang realized that whatever had struck their tent had sent him flying, realizing too that he was lucky to be alive. Blinking his eyes rapidly against a wave of dizziness, Aang felt a stab of fear wash through him as he again looked to his unmoving wife.
“Katara.” Aang said again, softer this time as he took a few stumbling steps toward her.
Instinct saved him, Aang throwing himself backwards as a head sized stone hurtled through the air inches from his face and turning to it’s source, the young man blinked in surprise. A dozen yards from him, a shape in the semi-darkness moved, revealed as a human shape but seemingly formed of stone. Anger welling up inside, Aang responded instantly by stomping a foot against the ground, another head sized lump of compacted earth leaping up from the ground before him and he lashed out with a fist, sending the stone hurting at his attacker. Aang’s Earthbending attack struck the figure dead centre, sending it flying back several yards into a large tree where it appeared to shatter.
Aang rubbed at his eyes and wondered if the blow to the head he had received had been worse than he thought. He had seen Earthbenders coat themselves in stone armor before, even used the technique himself, but the stone figure he had just struck had shattered into gravel leaving no sign of his attacker. Cautiously, Aang began to move toward Katara again but he had barely taken a step when a line of shattering earth speared out from the trees where his attacker had vanished. Leaping back again, he blinked in fresh surprise as the advancing line did something Aang had never seen another Earthbending move do. It changed course. He had no time to move as a pillar of rock erupted from the ground before him, Aang’s breath blasted from his body as he was smashed into the air and thrown clear over the trees and out of the clearing.
He was aware only of pain as he dropped back down, bouncing from branches as he tumbled through the thick canopy of the forest before he struck the ground with a hard thump. Pushing himself up, Aang groaned and clutched at his chest, feeling a burning pain in his side as he rose slowly to his feet. He coughed, wincing at the pain it caused and felt the copper taste of blood in his mouth, certain he had at least several broken ribs. But at a crashing through the trees, Aang pushed the pain aside and dropped into a ready stance, fresh anger boiling within.
From between the trees appeared the same figure from before, humanoid in shape, covered in stone and it came running straight at Aang. The young Avatar’s eyes and tattoos flared briefly with bright white light and Aang swept one arm before himself in a chopping motion. From beside him, a large tree exploded into woodchips and dust as Aang pulled the water from inside it, sending that thin arc of moisture scything over the ground at knee height. The water passed through the stone figures legs and it toppled to the ground, it’s severed legs rolling away before Aang brought the water flying back, forming it into a long spike above the figure before he froze it solid and with a snarl, drove it down through the stone figure’s back.
Aang felt shocked, firstly at himself for killing someone in a blind rage and then again as the stone figure crumbled into gravel. Once more there was no one there, only broken stone. He could only frown in confusion but Aang jumped back again as another line of shattering earth sped away from the pile of broken stone, flying straight toward him.
“NO!”
He shouted with renewed rage, punching both fists into the air and the ground before Aang exploded upwards, then throwing his arms out wide he sent a wave of destruction flying away from himself in every direction. The earth heaved, the trees of the forest around him, some of them enormous and thousands of years old, simply shattered and fell as the earth rose and rolled. Then bringing his fists down together, the earth around Aang boomed like a drum to his Earthbending blows, the ground compressed downwards again and again as he struck.
When he stopped and no fresh attacks came, Aang again clutched at his side. As the adrenaline passed, pain was again burning in Aang’s side but he paid it little attention, only one thought on his mind.
“Katara.” Aang said again.
Orientating himself in the centre of his circle of destruction, Aang stumbled through the forest, soon finding his way back to the clearing where he and his wife had made their camp. He paused soon after clearing the trees, not wanting to believe what his eyes were showing him. Katara was gone.
“Katara!” Aang called, coughing again with blood flecking his lips but only ignoring the pain he filled his lungs as deeply as he could, “KATARA!”
Only silence dominated the forest around now, the attacks from before having silenced the night creatures who lived here. Stumbling over to the remains of their stone tent, Aang looked for signs of where his wife had gone but was stopped by the sight of a scrap of white cloth pinned under a stone sitting on their sleeping mat. As he lifted the cloth, Aang could see characters scrawled onto it as though someone had drawn them using their finger for a pen. He raised a hand, igniting golden flames over his palm and paused in fear as he saw what the author of this message had used for ink. Bright red, fresh blood. Pushing his fears away, Aang read the message.
'Cease hunting me or I will make her suffer. The Blood Goddess.'
“No.” Aang breathed as tears welled in his eyes. Then filling his lungs once more, he threw back his head and screamed, “KATARA!”
With his verbal release, the earth shuddered for miles around, flames erupting about Aang that rose in a bright pillar fully half a mile into the air, bringing a false dawn over the forest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Katara sat up with a start, then clutched at her head as pain washed through her. Groaning, she blinked her eyes rapidly and looked around slowly, finding herself in a dimly lit metal room on a dirty sleeping pallet, still naked and with nothing but a filthy blanket thrown over her. As she slowly scanned her surroundings, confusion and fear reined. The last she remembered, she and Aang had been making love and then had come a loud noise and then…nothing.
Casting about for clues again, Katara could see she was in some kind of workshop. Benches and tables lined the walls but what equipment they might have once held was scattered and smashed on the floor amidst reams of papers. She groaned again, rubbing at her temples as her tried to think through the headache she had awoken with.
“Wawer.”
Katara gave a startled gasp, turning her head to see someone crouched at the end of pallet where she had been laid. Katara pulled her blanket up to her chin as she stared wide eyed at a young man.
'No,' she corrected herself, 'He’s just a boy.'
A young boy of perhaps ten years old was gazing curiously back at Katara, holding a small cup out toward her. He was dressed in nothing but a torn and stained pair of pants and there were many scars evident on his exposed flesh, scars Katara thought suspiciously that looked as though they came from repeated whippings and beatings. He had roughly cut, black hair that hung low on his forehead, almost obscuring his eyes which for a moment held Katara mesmerized. The boys eyes were different colors, neither green nor blue or brown, black or gold but a mix of all those colors, making his eyes look like strange rounded kaleidoscopes.
“Wawer.” the boy said again, thrusting the cup he held toward Katara, “Peety lady. Dink. Fee bedder.”
“Wa…water?” Katara asked hesitantly and the boy nodded encouragingly as she reached for the cup.
Katara half considered using the small container of water to make her escape but she blanched at the thought of attacking the boy and she had no idea where she was anyway or who may be waiting outside this room. She raised the cup to her lips, happy to discover it did contain cool, fresh water and drank it down, feeling her headache lessen slightly. The boy grinned hugely at her, bouncing excitedly on the balls of his feet and clapping his hands, his actions and his behavior so far leaving Katara wondering if his mind was all there.
“Peety lady fee bedder?” the boy asked excitedly, Katara struggling to understand him, “Peety Lady fend?”
“Fee bed?…oh, yes, I feel much better, thank you.” Katara said warmly when she understood, “And I’ll be happy to be your friend.”
The effect of her words on the young boy were instantaneous as he jumped to his feet and performed a little dance for joy at the end of Katara’s sleeping pallet. She was certain now that he was either suffering the effects of being traumatized or had suffered some form of brain damage but Katara could not help but smile at the obvious happiness flowing from the boy.
“My name’s Katara. Can you tell me your name?” Katara asked, smiling sweetly, “Or where we are? I don’t remember coming here.”
The boy stopped his dance to stare at Katara with an awed expression for a moment before he grinned again.
“Tara.” the boy breathed softly and then slapped a hand to his bare chest, “Niki.”
“Hello, Niki. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Katara said warmly and the boy giggled excitedly at her, “Can you tell me where we are, Niki? Do you know where this place is?”
At her question, the boy’s expression reversed itself with alarming speed, his look of happiness replaced with a flash of fear and a dark frown.
“Home. Bad home.” the boy told her in a morose tone.
Before she could question further, a door across the room swung open, metal hinges squealing as it was flung back with a clang. Katara’s blood ran cold at the sight of another young woman who stepped into the room, her features and cold smile burned into Katara’s memories. The woman’s black hair was longer than Katara remembered and instead of the armor she once favored only a stained, white kimono was draped over her frame, the material so thin as to be almost invisible. She appeared as though she had not aged a day since Katara had last seen her, only the young woman’s eyes appeared different and the sight of them send a fresh chill down Katara’s spine. No iris or pupil could be seen there, the woman’s eyes a pure, metallic gold.
“Azula.” Katara breathed.
“That’s what everyone keeps calling me.” the woman said with a shrug, her cold grin widening, “Usually they’re screaming it as they die.”
“No hurt, Tara.” the boy beside Katara suddenly said hotly.
And on top of the shocks Katara had already received, she jumped as the boy burst into flame. But it was not flames erupting from his body or he that burned, the boy literally transformed into a bright pillar of golden fire. Still with the rough shape of the boy, the flames stood on two legs and raised a small, blazing fist at Azula.
“TARA FEND!” the flames said in a crackling, hissing voice.
“I have no intention of hurting her, Niki.” Azula said in an bored tone, rolling her golden eyes, “We need her, remember? To keep the Avatar away from us as we work.”
As suddenly as the flames had erupted, they vanished, revealing the boy once more and he smiled happily firstly at Azula and then turned back to Katara.
“Tara, Niki, Fends.” Niki said, reaching out to pat Katara on her arm.
Unable to help herself, Katara reached out herself to touch the boy’s shoulder to confirm he was real, her face displaying her disbelief and confusion.
“How?” Katara breathed, her hand moving across to brush the boy’s untidy hair from his face.
“You’ll have to excuse Niki.” Azula said with a smirk, still standing in the doorway, “He does tend to get excitable but I don’t think the scientists here at the research station ever bothered giving him much of an education. What they couldn’t beat into him, they didn’t consider worth learning.”
Katara’s breath caught in her throat as her fingers traced a scar that trailed down the boy’s shoulder, Niki only continuing to smile at her.
“Research station?” Katara said quietly and turned to the other woman, “What was done to him? What has happened to you?”
Azula stared back at Katara coldly, the smirk now gone from her face as she considered the questions before shrugging again and moving further into the room.
“I don’t truly remember much, either of my life as a princess or being a great spirit. When we joined there were…complications.” Azula said, rolling her eyes and shrugging again at Katara’s obvious confusion, “After I freed myself from prison I went deep into the wilderness and slept for almost a whole year and when I awoke I remembered even less than when my mortal spirit was first bonded to that of an elemental.”
“Bonded to an elemental?” Katara asked, her eyes going wide, “Tui.”
“Yes.” Azula said, her smirk returning, “Though I cannot remember much of my prior existence, I remember you. I remember you trapping me in a block of ice so that I was locked away, my Bending taken from me. Used by the prison guards for their own pleasures.” Azula hissed angrily then suddenly tipped her head back, laughing lightly before she looked again at Katara, “And I remember you, riding your precious Avatar’s rod deep in your own brother’s bowels.”
“You are Tui.” Katara croaked, the memories of being shrunken along with Aang and then swallowed by her brother something she could never forget.
“Oh, I am much more now.” Azula said with a smile, moving closer to stand beside Niki at Katara’s pallet, “From my human memories I found this place. A place where my mortal father sought to create his ultimate weapon through a mix of science and the mystic arts. What they produced stands beside you.”
Katara felt like she could not breath. Wanting to deny the impossibility of these revelations but what she had witnessed so far would not let her.
“Niki?” Katara breathed, looking to the boy who continued smiling at her.
“To this secret base they brought men and women from each of the four nations.” Azula continued, still smirking down at Katara, “From the men they took their seed, from the women, their wombs and scientists and sages working together fused those to create little Niki here.” Azula knelt beside the pallet and Katara felt a fresh chill as the grinning boy slipped his arm over Azula’s shoulders, “He is our very own, home grown Avatar. But unlike your boyfriend he doesn’t control the elements, he is the embodiment of the elements and when he is ready, I will unleash him upon the world. We will take back what was taken from me and neither your Avatar or the great spirits will stop me and my Avatar from ruling this world.”
Katara whimpered in true fear, the boy frowning at her obvious distress and reaching out to her but she shrank back from his touch, tears spilling from her blue eyes. Only rising to her feet, Azula turned and walked from the room, pulling the door closed behind her but her high, cold laughter echoed in Katara’s ears for long after she had gone.
