The Alleys were no place for a girl to be at night. The sound of music and drunken celebrations filled the air. Lynn set her jaw, squared up her shoulders and kept on walking. She had a reason to be here.
Anyone who would have recognized her would have wondered what she was doing late at night wandering downtown in New Orleans. Lynn was a daughter of one of the so-called “Cotton Kings.” Her Great Grandfather had made his fortune and passed it on to his son. Stephen. Until recently the family had lived an enchanted life. One day Stephen was struck with a horrible pain in his leg.
The family had called in doctors from all around the country, trying anything that would give Stephen even a moment’s relief from the pain. So far nothing had worked and they were running out of options. Lynn was devastated by her father’s pain. She talked to everyone she could find and asked for their advice.
Just when she had almost given up hope something happened. Lynn had taken the Trolley downtown and on the seat beside her was a card. It said, “Dr. Facilier, Encantamientos, Potiones, Tarot; Dreams made True.” She had taken the card and asked where she could find this man. No one wanted to give her an answer, they warned her to stay away from the “Shadow Man.” Finally an old, blind woman in a red cloak had said he roamed the alleyways, looking for wayward souls.
Lynn glanced around her as she heard a noise; she turned and saw nothing but her own shadow. Lynn let out a nervous giggle and continued. As soon as she had her back turned the shadow melted into that of a tall, thin man with an evil smile.
Lynn had almost given up hope and started moving back towards the street when she literally ran into a figure, hidden by the shadows. He spoke in a deep velvety voice.
“Enchante’ Mademoiselle, what ever are you doing in a dangerous place like this all alone.”
Lynn looked at the man, He was much taller than her. He had a wiry frame and a broad chest. He glanced at her hungrily with purple eyes, smiling, displaying his gapped teeth.
“I’m looking for the Shadow Man.”
“He’s a dangerous creature, why are you looking for him?”
“I want his help. Do you know him?”
The man laughed, “’Chere, I know him better than he knows himself. Follow me, I’ll take you there.”
Lynn looked around her and walked after the man, the whole time repeating, “For my Father,” to herself.
The man opened the door to a broken down looking building and a light flickered on inside. Lynn hesitated at the doorway. It was dingy inside, sacred artifacts littered the rooms. She jumped when the man slammed the door behind her.
“You said you knew Dr. Facilier.”
“Child are you really that unintelligent?”
“You.. you are him.. Why didn’t you say so?!”
“Because I enjoy a bit of mystery, now what brings you here?”
“My father-.”
“You want me to curse him?”
“NO! He’s in pain. His leg won’t let him get any rest, he can barely eat.”
“And..”
“I’ve heard you can, do things, that others can’t. I want you to help him.”
“Interesting… So If I help him, what would I get in return?”
“I brought some money with me…”
“Five Hundred.”
“WHAT!?!”
“You want a miracle, that’s my price.”
“There’s no way… I already am going to have to think of a way to explain the One hundred and Fifty I brought with.”
“Well then I guess your daddy’s gonna have to live through the pain.”
Dr. Facilier got up and opened the door, then an evil expression crossed his face.
“Wait.”
“What?”
“Maybe we can cut a deal.”
Lynn stared at his suspiciously, not liking the sly way he was eyeing her.
“I can’t get you more money, maybe Two Hundred at the most…”
“Maybe I take the One Hundred and Fifty, plus something more.”
“I have some jewelry on me…”
Facilier strode up to her and put his hand on her hips.
“Not that kind of something Chere.”
Lynn’s eyes widened and she pushed him away.
“What?! No! I couldn’t…”
Facilier laughed,
“Too bad, you could have helped your daddy but you won’t because you don’t want to pay the price.”
He turned and walked toward the door and counted to himself, “One, Two, and Three…”
“Wait, Please!”
“Yesss,” He turned around with a smirk.
“You swear that you’ll help my father?”
“On my mother’s grave.”
“And this will stay between us?”
“Only if you don’t moon about it later.”
Lynn bit her lip. She was backed into a corner and she knew it.
“Fine.”
“Fine?”
“Do what you need to.”
Facilier laughed and shook Lynn’s hand. He led her to the back of the room, to a large table covered with a large cloth. He sat down in an ornate chair.
“Let’s see what I’ve got here.”
He gestured to Lynn and she blushed but obediently started unbuttoning her blouse. Facilier sat observing her, a cool expression on his face. Lynn’s hands trembled as she unfastened her skirt and let it drop. She stood before him in just her brassiere and hose. He smiled at her and beckoned her toward him.
“Sit down.”
Lynn turned her head as she straddled the man, ashamed of what she was doing. He chuckled and turned her head, whispering in her ear.
“Your shyness is cute, but you’re just gonna have to get over that.”
He kissed her forcefully, his hand coming up to unfasten her brassiere. Lynn gasped at the cool air on her bare breasts. Facilier chuckled into her mouth and began kneading them together. Lynn began to feel a rush of heat at between her thighs. Facilier kissed down her neck and began biting and sucking at her.
“Ah Chere you taste wonderful.”
Lynn moaned slightly as the Shadow man’s skillful mouth made her dizzy. She opened her eyes as he stopped suddenly. Facilier laughed at the girl’s confused expression, she was enjoying this.
“It’s time for the main attraction darling.” He drawled.
He removed her hose, smirking at the wetness he found there. Then he stood up and removed his own clothing, displaying a well muscled frame. He watched Lynn’s eyes as she saw his manhood. All of a sudden Lynn gasped and tried to retrieve her clothing. Facilier grabbed her and threw her on the table. She tried to struggle but Facilier’s shadow held her down.
“Now now now we aren’t going back on our bargain are we?”
“Please…not this…”
“It’s a little late for that, darling. You shake my hand, the deal is set. Besides I know you’re enjoying yourself. Your body is speaking for itself. Live a little Chere, let me show you what this can be.”
He lowered himself down onto her and rubbed himself against her slit. Lynn closed her eyes and braced herself. Facilier grabbed her chin.
“Look at me! I want to see your eyes when I make you mine.”
Lynn’s blue eyes flickered to his gaze. Facilier smirked and Thrust. Lynn cried out in pain, he cried out in pleasure.
“Don’t worry darling it gets better after awhile.”
Tears spilled out of Lynn’s eyes. She felt like she was being ripped in two but her cries did nothing to stop the Shadow man. Just when she felt like she couldn’t take it anymore something happened. The heat she’d felt earlier returned, more powerful this time. Everytime Facilier thrust it grew. He began to notice the change in her reaction and grinned, nipping her neck slightly. Lynn threw her arms around him and thrust her hips to his.
The heat flared up inside of her and suddenly a wave of pleasure rocked her body. She screamed Facilier’s name and it drove him over the edge. He roared and slammed into Lynn, moving the table with the power of his climax. He looked down at her face, red with pleasure staring contentedly up at him. Facilier kissed Lynn’s lips roughly, moving down to her neck and biting her. She yipped as the taste of blood filled his mouth. He smirked greedily at her.
“Just a little something to remember me by.”
He strode into the other room and washed himself, by the time he had returned Lynn had dressed and stared at him expectantly.
“The cure.”
He reached on a shelf and brought down a bottle filled with a deep blue liquid.
“Have him drink this tonight, I can guarantee that he’ll feel better by the morning.”
“For how long?”
Facilier smiled at the woman before him, she was no fool.
“That depends on him; if you need more you know how you can get it.”
Lynn blushed, grabbed the bottle, and rushed out the doorway.
Facilier laughed maniacally as he went toward his bedroom over his shop. He threw his hat on the table, (Which held a red cloak, wig, and pair of sunglasses.) He walked over to one of his shelves and picked up a Voodoo doll and pulled the pin out of its leg.
“Thank you my little friend you’ve been very helpful.”
His laughter trailed out of the shop and into the night.
