The Lyoko Effect

Here it is the sequel to Detention!! Sorry it took so long, I had writer’s block, but hopefully I won’t have it for a while now. This takes place after William joins the crew but before Xana took him over. Other than that im not sure how much is going to stick to the story line. So there might be spoilers but im not sure.

Pairings: Aelita/Mr. Delmas (Jéan-Pierre Delmas) Ulrich/Yumi, Ulrich/William, Ulrich/Yumi/William, Jeremie/Odd

Aelita is 14, Yumi is 15, Ulrich is 14, Jeremie is 13, Odd is 14, William is 15

Chapter 1

“Aelita?” A quiet voice came from outside the bathroom stall. “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine Yumi.” Aelita replied, and then promptly retched into the toilet. “I just have the flu.”

“All right, do you want me to walk you to the nurse?” She said to the door.

“No I’ll be fine, I’m going to head there next.” She wiped her mouth with toilet paper and flushed the toilet, then stepped out of the stall.

“Man you look horrible, Aelita.” Yumi exclaimed as she caught sight of her friends pale face and bloodshot eyes. “Are you sure it’s the flu?” She asked, concerned.

“Yea, im sure, go ahead and head to class and I’ll head to the nurse.”

“All right, if you need to talk just ask me, I’d be glad to.”

“I know Yumi, thanks.” Aelita gave Yumi a hug and headed out of the bathroom. Yumi waited a few minutes, knowing her friend didn’t have the flu but not knowing how to ask what was wrong. ‘I guess she’ll tell me if she wants to’ Yumi thought, and headed to class.

It had been four months since her detention with Mr. Delmas. ‘And I still haven’t told him yet, I don’t know how to bring it up with him, I’m already starting to show a little. At least virtualizing doesn’t seem to affect the baby, just makes me feel ill.’ She rubbed her head as she walked down the hall. ‘That’s it im going to tell him right now, before it’s too late.’

As Aelita headed towards the Principal’s office, Jeremie and Odd were having a discussion about her.

“I swear something is wrong with her Odd, every time I’m in a room with her she finds some way to leave, like she’s scared of me or something.”

“I don’t know Einstein, maybe she’s having girl problems or something.” Odd responded, not looking too concerned.

“Yea maybe.” Jeremie sighed, staring at his notebook. Suddenly Jeremie’s computer went off, signaling Xana had awakened. “Oh no, it’s Xana!”

“We better hurry, I’ll stay here with Yumi to see what Xana has planed.” Ulrich whispered to the two boys.

“I’ll head to the factory pronto,” Jeremie said, “Odd you go find William and Aelita and head to the factory.

“Roger that Einstein.” Odd agreed. “Hey, Mrs. Meyer? Jeremie isn’t feeling too well, can me and Ulrich help him to the nurse?” He asked in his best voice.

“All right Odd, you both can take him to the nurse, but I want you back here shortly after, got it?” Mrs. Meyer said to them.

“Gottcha,” Ulrich replied, and him and Odd made a show of helping Jeremie limp out of the room.

“Good show Jeremie!” Odd exclaimed once they were headed down the hall, “I’m off to find the Princess and shining Knight!” Odd then took off down the hall.

“We have to hurry, we don’t know what he’s got planed.” Ulrich nodded to Jeremie and headed to the field to find Yumi, leaving Jeremie to start off for the factory.

Aelita headed into Mr. Delmas’ office hoping he didn’t have any visitor’s. As she saw him in his office she smiled. He had fallen asleep at his desk, his glasses were askew and his face looked so peaceful. Lately he had been working extra hard and had getting little sleep, still thinking about a certain pink haired student.

Aelita walked over to the desk and brushed a hair out of his face, and kissed him lightly on the cheek. He stirred and opened his eyes smiling brightly when he saw Aelita. “Well hello, what a nice surprise.” He chuckled and pulled her in for a kiss.

She sighed and kissed back passionately. Finally she pulled back and said, “You’ve been working too hard lately, you need a break.”

“I know darling,” He smiled again, “but seeing you makes it all worthwhile, so what did you need me for?” He asked, pulling her onto his lap holding her gently.

“Actually,” she started hesitantly, “I need to tell you something.” but suddenly her phone rang “Hold on a minute.” she pulled her phone out and saw the text ‘Xana’s awakened a tower, Yumi & Ulrich staying to see what Xana’s up to, need to head to factory asap’ She replied, ‘got it, on my way’ “Um, sorry I’ll have to come back later Jéan, I really have to go right now!” And with that she took off for the door.

“Wait!” Jéan called out heading after her.

“I really have to go, sorry!” She called running around the corner. Jéan ran after her following her outside and into the forest.

‘Hopefully I can loose him in the forest’ she thought frantically. She managed to get to the sewers and didn’t see him at all. “Good, lost him.” she muttered, and slipped into the sewer pulling the manhole closed after her.

Jéan-Pierre stepped out of his hiding spot and followed her into the sewers.

By the time Aelita made it to the factory and down to the scanners, Jeremie had already virtualized the others. She stepped into the scanner and was virtualized. But unknown to Aelita or Jeremy, Mr. Delmas stepped into the scanner next to her and was virtualized next to her.

Aelita was virtualized next to Odd and William.

“Hey Princess!” Odd greeted, catching her as she swayed slightly.

“Hey yourself!” She smiled at him and stepped away stretching. Suddenly their attention was drawn to sound of someone virtualizing, they looked up in shock to find their principal popping out of the sky and falling on his butt.

“What just happened?” He asked in surprise. “Where am I and what are you all doing here?”
