A Villain’s Lullaby
Disclaimer: I do not own the Care Bears, or any related characters. Care Bear fans should be aware, that this is more of a story about No Heart and Beastly. If you are looking for an absolute sex-filled story, you may want to look elsewhere, as this story will have more of just an erotic edge…I am just posting it here because I thought it would be too racy for fanfiction.net. This is for my inspiration, Tina-Chan! All critical comments/suggestions/flames are welcome.
It was the fifteenth of June, and it could very well be the Sorcerer’s No Heart’s finest day yet. Now on this fifteenth of June, the weather was what we humans would fine perfect- (a warm summer’s night, a slight breeze, crickets chirping, clear sky, each star above shining brilliantly to compliment everything else that was so perfect on this summer’s night.) but yet that was certainly not the reason No Heart was pleased.
“And you are quite sure about this, Dr. Fright?”
The funny looking vampire stood in front of the hooded wizard, shaking visibly from excitement.
“Yes, Lord No Heart!” Dr. Fright had a habit or wringing his pale hands together as he talked to No Heart.
“Everything about it is here in this book.” With that, the “Doctor” held a large book, that seemed very out of place in his hands, and within No Heart’s ominous throne room, as this particular book was colored pastel pink.
“The Care Bear’s Book of Secrets & Magic” No Heart sneered as he read the title from the cover. “How wonderful,” he added in jest.
“Uh, there is one thing, Lord No Heart,” Dr. Fright smiled nervously, and he fumbled a little with the book as he went to open it. “There are a few pages missing.”
No Heart stood at this; making Dr. Fright tremble. Dr. Fright had almost forgotten how tall No Heart was! He gave up the book to No Heart as soon as he reached for it, and began to flip through the many pages, his red eyes intent. Dr. Fright was silent.
“There is written information in here about all the humans the Care Bears have helped.” No Heart continued to search through the book. ‘Some of this information could be very beneficial to me,” No Heart said thoughtfully.
Dr. Fright gave a sigh of relief then, as he was nervous that perhaps No Heart would not be satisfied with his find, solely because of three missing pages. The sorcerer then closed the book, and fixed his attention on the Doctor. “Very well done, Dr. Fright.”
“Why, thank you Lord No Heart” Dr. Fright started with pleased surprise. “You have no idea what I went through to get…”
“You are dismissed, Dr. Fright. My shadows will show you the way out.” No Heart turned, and exited his throne room, with the book in hand.
As No Heart’s dark shadow creatures seemingly came out of nowhere, and approached the Doctor, he wondered if there really was no reward, or if it was to come later.
On the outside of No Heart’s great castle, a black and gray vulture perched outside a window, and flapped its monstrous wings. A moment later, No Heart appeared at the window, and held up something to the bird. The vulture in turn raised its head; and accepted the food. On the inside, a medium-sized creature with shaggy light brown fur watched as his master fed his “pet.”
“So, boss-your not going to replace me as your assistant now just because that Dr. Fright guy managed to steal a book of Care Bear secrets, are you?” The scruffy creature asked pitifully.
The vulture outside swallowed his food, and then blinked, grotesque eyelids closing over hideous eyes. No Heart seemed to not hear Beastly, or to ignore him. He handed more “food” to his vulture (Beastly could never figure out what exactly it was) and watched as the vulture happily gulped it down. He waited until the bird was finished, then turned to Beastly. In what seemed perfect unison, the bird’s beady eyes turned to him as well, and the brown creature gulped.
“Beastly, you have been a great disappointment to me in the past.” No Heart pointed to him with a green finger. The predator outside flapped its wings.
Beastly began to panic a little. “Oh, but No Heart…just give me one more chance to catch those lousy Care Bears, I swear I won’t botch it this time, honest!” Beastly clasped his claws together in a plea.
“I have an assignment for you, Beastly. Do not mess this one up, or you will pay dearly.” No Heart looked out to the vulture, which in turn looked to No Heart.
Beastly tried to answer that, but nothing would come out of his mouth. The hooded wizard picked up the pastel colored book from a nearby shelf, and opened it to a page where an old tasseled bookmark was placed. He set it in front of Beastly’s snout, and pointed to a picture of what seemed to be a symbol of some sort.
“I need this necklace-it has a pendent which contains magical powers, and a potential ingredient in it that will make a protective potion that will work against anybody. I would just to need to add one ingredient to it to make it suit my needs. It needs to be recharged by the full moon every quarter…”No Heart pointed out the window to a bright moon above, fully visible in the night sky, but not quite full yet.
Beastly blinked-No Heart was talking so fast, (he had never have heard him talk so fast!) it was hard to take it all in. Beastly squinted, and took a better look at the picture in front of him. It was not just a symbol, but a heart-shaped pendent attached to a necklace. No Heart went on still:
“The Care Bears have created what could be the most powerful potion of sorts, which what they do not know is it could be used against them in the wrong hands. Just one ingredient, and I could turn very own potion against them.”
“But what would that one ingredient be, No Heart?”
“Never you mind that, Beastly!” No Heart snapped and pointed again to the book. “This necklace is in the hands of an earth girl named “Kaira”. No Heart said the name with distaste, perhaps because it sounded like “care.” Bring her and the necklace to me-you have by twelve O’ clock, tomorrow night, before the full moon disappears.”
“But…” began Beastly.
No Heart pointed to the book again, in haste. “Everything you need to know is in the book, about where to find the child.”
Beastly looked over the page again, and found the information he needed, yet he was still full of questions.
“But…”
“Go. Now!” No Heart’s voice boomed, and with that, Beastly’s twiggy little legs where off and running, and even the vulture outside took flight.
There where some humans that still believed very much in the Care Bears, and many that did not. But even more humans believed even less in No Heart, and he was pretty much passed off as a “scary story.”
The “Kaira” that No Heart had spoken of, was not indeed a child-at least not any more. Kaira was one of the earth humans that where not quite sure whether No Heart was real or not, or if he was legend. When she was younger, however, she most certainly did believe in him, and stories of him frightened her so. There was one time, where, at a school friend’s party, they had dared her to look into the bathroom mirror and say his name three times. She was too scared to attempt it, and her schoolmates had laughed at her so. The whole idea of it made her so frightened, that the next night at home; she slept with all the lights on, even though she did not even try the mirror trick.
But such things as that fade into the past, and even make us laugh to think back at them.
That summer of June the fifteenth, Kaira had other things to worry about, rather than a mystical sorcerer that may or may not have been a legend.
It was a perfect summer night for Kaira; she so enjoyed the cool breeze that hit through the warmness. She sat in her backyard and looked up to the sky, the moon was almost full. A heart-shaped pendent around her neck gleamed a little, matching the moon’s luster. She sat on her lawn chair, and stretched her long legs, looking off to the clearing that emptied right into the woods. “How lucky I am to live with the woods practically in my backyard!” she thought to herself. Kaira had always loved animals, and nature. Sometimes, in the early morning, she would be able to see deer grazing in the grass.
What was worrying Kaira that night, was she pondered with herself if she would take a walk into the woods that night…it was not too dark yet, but she knew it would be soon. It was a safe area, but she knew better than to walk into the woods at night. “But,” she argued with herself. “It is so safe here, and it would be so nice to sit on the bank, and feel the water on my toes.” A little ways into the wood, there indeed was a gentle-flowing stream, with a grassy bank to sit on. It truly seemed to her like something out of a fairy-tale storybook. She had gone there to sit in the afternoon, but not at night yet.
Kaira looked again to the night sky. “Well, if I’m to go, I should go now, and get back before dark.” With that decision, she got out of her lawn chair, and started towards the woods.
************************************************************************Kaira was-what most people might think a beautiful young women, she was in her twenties, with long blonde hair, and green eyes, and gorgeous figure. She sighed a little as she sat down on the bank, and stretched. She slid off a shoe with one foot, then took the other off by hand, and placed them on a rock besides her. She slowly lowered her feet into the brook below, and once she got used to the sudden coldness of the water, she could feel little fishes swim by and tickle her feet. It was so relaxing and tranquil, so quiet…she loved how the breeze felt blowing through her hair, and skin…. she slowly pulled a strap from her light blue sundress, and it went down smoothly on her arm. She considered slipping off her sundress, as she was feeling so good. Kaira had let her guard down, and did not know she was being watched.
