This is my first story so be nice! The gang are high school seniors. Please read and review, it be greatly appreciated.

It was another normal Thursday morning at Retroville High. Well, almost normal, considering that this is where the town’s (maybe the world’s) smartest teen was currently at. You see, unless you have either recently moved here or been living under a rock, whenever James Neutron (Jimmy to friends and family) has finished a most recent invention, most likely something is bond to happen. Today is no exception. He was late to school (again) and had missed the bus. So like any other normal 17-year-old, he decided to run to school then have to been dropped off by his parents. Thinking it was the perfect opportunity to test the invention he had spent almost all night perfecting. He pulled out what seemed to be a normal size box, but actually it had in a built in jet power skateboard. Jimmy threw the box onto the ground, on impact the box opened up to its true form. He jumped on it and proceeded to try and make it before the first bell rang. It started out smoothly until, something out of thin air crash onto the back wheel, causing the teen to spin out of control.

“Look out!” he screamed. But it was too late. The poor innocent bystanders turned in time to be send flying onto the ground. Under the dog pile, the teen genius managed to somehow crawl out without any major injuries.

“James Neutron!” a booming voice was heard from the entrance.
“Yes, Principle Peterson?” Jimmy replied.
“That is the second time this week where you have almost severely injured your peers.” the balding man exclaimed.
“I know, but it wasn’t my fault this time!”
“Oh really, then who was its?”
“I-I don’t know, but something just appeared out of nowhere and crashed into my back wheel” Jimmy said as he picked up the broken parts. As he said this, he could hear whispering laughter behind him. He turned around to face the school’s most popular male, Nick Dean. How he loath Nick, not only was he popular but also all the girls were after him. Of course, he got any girl he wanted, even if it is the girl Jimmy has been secretly in love with for years. Speaking of the devil, here she comes, riding in the new Mercedes Benz she had received for her 17th birthday. Time seem to stop as she slowly got out of the car. Smooth tan legs appeared first, followed what seem to be a mini jean skirt. Next a white button down shirt with a white tank top under, lastly her perfectly combed hair shone in the sun as she locked the door. Jimmy felt as his heart could stop at any minute. She walked up the stairs, as if she was heading to him! But in reality she walked past him, into Nick Deans arms. The bell rang, signaling the students that class starts in two minutes. Jimmy cleared his head and went in to his locker.

Quickly, he gathered his books for his 1st period. As he slammed his locker, he could hear someone skidding to a stop next to him. Sheen Estevez, his best friend since elementary, paused in order to catch his breath.

“Jimmy! You are not going to believe this! I was invited to Nick’s party!” Sheen screamed.
“Actually I kind of believe it. You are Nick’s girlfriend’s best friend’s boyfriend” Jimmy said. Sheen took a minute to comprehend what Jimmy just said.
“Whatever, I’m finally going to know what actually happens at a high school party!” Sheen sighed contently.
“Uh Sheen? All high school parties are the same. They have booze, drugs, loud music, and usually by 1 am the neighbors are complaining to the cops about the noise.” Jimmy explained as they headed to class.
“And your point is…?” Sheen started.
“You are just wasting away a night in which you could be hanging out with your best friends”
“Oh, speaking of friends, I’m allowed to invite one guest with me”
“Really?” Jimmy raised an eyebrow.
“Yeah, since I know that you were going to say something like that I invited Carl.” Sheen replied as they took their seats.
“WHAT?!”
“Yeah, why not? He is my other best friend.” Sheen said, stating the obvious. Jimmy was about to reply when his dream girl came into the class. Cynthia Vortex aka Cindy, was the school’s most popular girl. She was also the smartest person, after Jimmy, in this school. Almost everyone knew of Jimmy’s crush on Cindy, except Cindy herself. She walked, almost floated, to her seat which happened to be in front of Jimmy. As she sat down, he caught a whiff of her scent. ‘Lavender’ Jimmy thought happily. Before he could continue with his ‘study’, the teacher came in and class officially started.

Gym. Who knew one word could cause a science genius to almost flee for his life? He honestly hated that class. Not only was he not athletic but, the other guys made sure to make him miserable within the 50 minutes they spent in this class. ‘Seriously, they should only give this as an option for those who like it or need it.’ Jimmy thought before another dodge ball slammed onto his right arm. He was thankful that he was already eliminated, so that he is able to sit and relax for a few minutes. About 5-10 minutes before class ended, they were sent to the locker room to shower and dress. After almost having his clothes stolen from him, Jimmy quickly return to his locker to grab his books.

“Man that was an awesome game of dodge ball!” Sheen shouted.
“Yeah, I actually made it out without hurting my scapula.” Carl Wheezer, Jimmy and Sheen’s other friend, proclaimed. Carl had changed a lot since the 5th grade. He is taller and slimmer than before, he learned to control his eating habits and also found an exercise routine in which wouldn’t cause any sever harm.

“Well Jim, there’s the bell; I’ll catch you in 4th period.” Carl said as he hurried to class.
“Yeah, see you then!” Sheen echoed.
“Bye”. As Jimmy was about to lock his locker, he could hear two people whispering from a couple of rows in front. He softly closed the locker and tried to sneak out without being notice, until something one of them said caught his interest.

“So man, when are you going to dump that Vortex chick?” One said, and if he was right, it was Butch, school’s most notorious bully.
“I told you man, I’m doing it tomorrow at my party” the other, clearly Nick, replied.
Jimmy gasped at this.
“Did you hear something?”
“Yeah, I think it came from over there.” Nick point toward Jimmy’s hidden spot. Jimmy quickly took out his invisible causing invention and turned himself invisible. Butch heavy foot steps can be heard. Jimmy held his breath, then let it out as he saw Butch shrug and return to Nick’s side.
“Nothing there, so tell why are you dumping her?”
“Because she has been my girl too long and also she’s not that interested in me, she probably agreed to be my girlfriend cause she will spread her legs for anyone who pays attention” Nick replied before he and Butch exited the room, laughing. When he was sure that they were gone, Jimmy de activated his invisible shield. He could literally feel his anger boiling.

*Lunch*

Jimmy, Sheen, and Carl scanned the lunch room and sighed in relief when their usual table was unoccupied. They head towards it and placed their trays on it. Sheen and Carl sat down, but Jimmy stayed standing.
“Aren’t you going to sit?” Carl said while eating his sandwich.
“Not now, I have something to take care of.” He said before heading to the ‘Popular’ table. He could see that Cindy had arrived already. Jimmy took a deep breath and walked over to her.
“Hey-y Cindy.” He said.
Cindy looked up and noticed that Jimmy was in front of her.
“Can I help you with something, Neutron?” Cindy asked.
“Um... Can I talk to you?” He started “In private.” He finished when he noticed all her friends leaning in to listen.
“Fine, let’s go outside.” She replied as she dragged him outside the room. They reached a spot where no-one could hear their conversation.
“Ok, now tell me what’s going on with you?” Cindy crossed her arms.
“Well I was in the locker room and I overheard Nick telling Butch that he was gonna dump you” Jimmy said.
“WHAT?!?!”
“He said that the reason he was is because you were never really interested in him and you would spread your legs for any guy that pays attention”
“You are lying.” Cindy stated.
“Huh? No I’m not!”
“Yes you are!”
“Why would I be lying?”
“I-I don’t know, maybe it is cause you are jealous.” She accused him.
“Jealous? Of what?”
“That Nick is more popular and that I’m his girlfriend.”
“That’s not true! I’m just concern about my friend.”
“Well, I can take care of myself”
“Fine!”
“FINE!”

Both left in a huff, one was angry the other was upset that she had not believed him.
