G.I. Joe: The Search for Serpentor's Bride.
Chapter One,
Serpentor desires a wife.
Serpentor was rapping his fingers on the armrest of his throne; he was not enjoying the day. For some reason, everyone else was doing something with their girlfriend or wife as the case was with Destro and The Baroness. They were off somewhere in their secret headquarters either kissing or reading poetry to their unborn child. He grew impatient and turned on the TV which somewhat amused him. But the show that was on was dealing with women who married for money but fell in love with the man who they wanted only his money and not him. ‘Why do I even care about this show? It means nothing to me.’
He was just about to turn it off when the woman on the show stated something about her family begging her to get married and get pregnant to keep her family’s line alive. He quickly turned the volume up as he listened to her intensively. What she had said about her family wanting her to get pregnant got him thinking about his own line? He had no female; no bride to become pregnant by him and bear him an heir. He turned it off and strode towards Dr. Mindbender’s laboratory.
“Ah, good afternoon, Serpentor,” spoke Dr. Mindbender, turning around to see him entering his laboratory. “What can I do for you?”
“Tell me why I do not have a wife, Mindbender! Why do I not have a wife to bear me heirs?” snapped Serpentor, eyes glaring at him.
“I guess I never considered that you would need a wife, oh great Serpentor,” Dr. Mindbender stated, realizing that they would need to search for a wife for Serpentor.
“Well find me one! This I command!” he snapped off before he turned on his heel and stormed out of the laboratory.
“Yes, oh great Serpentor, we will find you one,” Dr. Mindbender said as he bowed to the Cobra Emperor. ‘Oh gods, how will we find a bride worthy of him? I dare not let Cobra Commander know about this but yet we need to find him a bride and soon.’
Dr. Mindbender walked through out the compound in thought about Serpentor’s bride and bumped into the Dreadnoks, who asked him what was wrong. “Everything is wrong. Serpentor wants a bride.”
“Could give him Zarana?” said Ripper.
“No, she’ll chop his member off before he even pokes her with it, Ripper!” spoke Buzzer, slapping Ripper over the head.
Monkeywrench thought and asked, “Couldn’t you just create a bride for him, like you did him?”
Dr. Mindbender looked at Monkeywrench and spoke, “Yes, yes…that might be possible. I would have to check what royal courtiers out there that was ruthless and perfect for Serpentor.”
“What is a courtiers, Mindbender?” asked Monkeywrench.
“Concubines for the King, many times they are considered to be the wives of some Kings. I’ll also have to look at Queens of the world as well,” spoke Mindbender, as he strode away from the three Dreadnoks back to his room where he turned on his computer and started his search for suitable DNA of royal courtiers and Queens.
Mindbender found in Egypt several Queens and concubines who could be worthy of being used as the base of the DNA for their emperor’s bride. One was Queen Hatshepsut, who refused to allow the true Pharaoh assume his role as Pharaoh; she was a very determined woman in that age. Then, there was Queen Cleopatra, who was the last Queen of Egypt, she was also like Hatshepsut but she desired power as well as she was determined to make Egypt grand again. He then found Queen Nefertari, the wife of Ramses the second, she was beautiful and wise. He turned his eyes to the Russian royalties and found Tsar Ivan V’s wife Praskovya Saltykova, who was an energetic woman but a tyrant to her household; she would be perfect match temperament wise for Serpentor’s own violable temper.
Just as he was about to get up and give his results to Serpentor, the thought of the trouble they went through with creating Serpentor with how Cobra Commander ruined one of their attempts by putting a virus in one vial and that Sgt. Slaughter destroyed one of the vials that held one of the DNA strains. He sat back in his chair thinking about it and decided it was not worth all the waste of energy to go around the world searching for the tombs of the chosen women to get their DNA and hope that they would find them. But he knew that he had to inform Serpentor about this as he may not like the delay in getting him a bride.
Dr. Mindbender finally decided to face the serpent and headed towards Serpentor’s throne room. He found Serpentor speaking with their construction people about making another throne for his bride. Mindbender waited patiently till Serpentor ordered the construction people out as he needs to speak with Mindbender alone.
“Well, what does she look like and when can I see her?” Serpentor demanded to know immediately.
Dr. Mindbender scratched the back of his bald head. “Mighty Serpentor, uh...this is…is going to be a while. I cannot create you a woman.”
“What!” screamed Serpentor, pulling out one of his snakes from around his neck making it into a staff; which he promptly used to hit Mindbender over the back. “Why can’t you make me a woman?”
“It is only because of what Cobra Commander did while we were trying to create you, oh mighty Serpentor. We cannot waste anymore equipment as the Joes will find our base and well, you know how much damage they can cause.” Mindbender stated, cowering in front of Serpentor.
Serpentor started to raise his staff one more time to hit Mindbender when he said the last part of his sentence. He paused for a few moments, Mindbender thought he got lucky with what beating he took and started to back away from him. “Stay where you are, this I command!”
“Yes, Serpentor,”
“You are right about the Joes coming after us if we did something like that. You must think of how to keep the Joes occupied during our hunt for my bride.”
“But Serpentor, they will figure it out and come to the next possible DNA spot. Perhaps, if we search for a woman who is living now to be your bride?” questioned Mindbender.
“Go think of a plan on how to keep the Joes occupied, while we search for my bride,” spoke Serpentor.
“Mighty Serpentor, we do not have any possible ‘brides’ for you to look at. How will you know who would be worthy of carrying your child?” asked Mindbender.
“Get me photographs of all the females that could be possible to become my bride! This I command!” screamed Serpentor, as Mindbender turned on his heels and raced out of the room.
Stay tuned, the next one is coming.
