Bishop watched the sun rise over the skyline of DuCaine Metropolis, it was beautiful, and yet deep down there was a voice, questioning him, he had heard it once before, a long time ago, just before he took his vows. It had asked him then if he was sure he wanted to forsake the future he had with Talamaska, the family he may have known, did he wish to remain as Bishop or find out his real name and who his parents were. Back then he was certain that being a priest was the best for him and silenced the voice. But now, after living though war, seen what his goddess was like, and Cobra’s tears, he could not quell the voice this time, he regretted not listening to it the first time. How can he have faith in the so called powers of good, when he has seen them hurt so many? They had ordered Nosedive’s death, this he was certain. In truth the only ones he could have faith in were those he knew, and yet Kaven’s words about that crushed even that bit of faith. 'Immortals and guardians are in very essence cruel beings, though some try to be nice time will bring out their true nature, mortals are simply pawns in a game. The truth is they don't care, and as much as I hate it, one day Dawn, and even I will be no different’. He had told Kaven that he felt better that Dawn was going to a keeper of the higher plains, the look on Kaven’s face before he spoke those words was sad and honest, what brought those words on he didn't know.
The voice simply laughed at him, and then asked him did he truly want to be a priest after all he had been through?
"No." he whispered as he removed the items on him that designated him as a priest, and threw them off the rim of Sky High. The voice went silent; Bishop took a deep breath and let it out, and smiled. He was close, ridding himself of those items was the first step, to truly walk away from being a priest he'd have to break his vows one by one.
Bishop headed for his home to get his board. He was going to surf down to the ground and go bar hopping. He at first thought about getting some of the ducks he knew together to drink together but he shook his head as they might not like the new Bishop.
Bishop surfed down to the ground and headed towards one of the bar when he walked past a window. He glanced over to it and he realized that he looked like a priest still, even without the collar and the cross around his neck. His clothes marked him as a priest. He needed to get a new wardrobe. He went to one of the darker themed clothing shops.
"I don't need any lectures from a priest, I don't care if my soul goes to hell or not," stated the shop keeper, when he saw Bishop enter his store and hadn’t noticed him looking at the clothing on the racks.
Bishop chuckled; it was obvious that the shop keeper had been harassed by other priests and Ancients. "I'm not here to lecture, simply to shop."
The shop keeper’s jaw dropped. "Why would you want to shop here? You’re a priest, and from what I hear one most priest aspire to be."
Bishop snorted. "Then they look up to the wrong drake, I've decided to walk away and never look back."
"Just like that? Mr. Bishop, are you sure that's what you want to do?"
Bishop nodded. "I've seen too much of the truth of things to have any faith in the gods that are deemed good."
“Well, then, what are you looking for beyond the traditional clothes of a priest?” asked the shop keeper.
“Let’s try them all. I’m very game, it’s time for me to shed my priestly look,” Bishop stated.
The shop keeper smiled. "Take your time and have fun,"
Bishop nodded, it took him almost three hours to decide, he found that he quite enjoyed wearing tight black leather pants, and a loose ring mail shirt felt nice against his feathers. He looked different with the clothes but there was something else needed – his hair needed to be changed, maybe have it braided?
He grinned, bangs would also help, he paid for the clothes and went to the stylists, they didn't say the same thing that the shop keeper had, there was no way a priest would be dressed like how he was.
"So what can I do for you today sir?"
"Not sure, I'll look through the magazines and decide," he said as he took a seat and looked though the magazines, it didn't take him long to decide.
"Ready yet?" a hair stylist asked.
He nodded. "I'll have a wash and this style," he said as he showed her the magazine. It was basically his back hair braided and his bangs styled.
She looked at him as he paid for the service. She noticed that he didn’t have a marriage ring on his left hand. “So what are you going to be doing tonight, handsome?”
"Probably going out for a couple drinks,"
“I get off work at 9, mind if I join you?” She said, as she placed her hand on his hand as she smiled towards him.
Bishop smiled as he felt the tightening in his pants. This might be a good thing, he figured. He did find her to be attractive and he really never had a female before. “I would like that very much,”
She smiled, this drake was definitely something else, in appearance one would take him to be a druggy or a gang member, but as soon as he spoke you knew that he wasn't. As she did his hair she pondered this. She looked at his face in the mirror, her heart sank. If she went with him, took things all the way she'd be the one to corrupt one of the greatest holy men on Puckworld, someone she admired.
"Bishop, I don't think I can go with you.” She whispered.
"Why?" He whispered.
"You’re a priest," she whispered her reply.
"My faith is dead; I'm simply seeking to be a drake."
“You mean…you left the priesthood?” she asked. She was stunned that the greatest holy drake had left the priesthood.
“Yes, I found something out that made me realize that I had put my faith into the wrong sector and I have turned my back to the priesthood. I’ll come by at 9 to pick you up,” he said, after she removed the collar around his neck.
She watched as he strode out of the shop. The girls were all checking him out.
“Did you see his package?”
“Drake’s alive! He must be huge underneath those pants!”
“Look like he is in need of a good lay!” one of the other girls said.
The girl smiled. "He'll be getting a good lay, to think that drake is Bishop, and I'll be his first."
“That’s who?!” exclaimed the girls. “You’re lying! He cannot be the famed Bishop?”
"The one and only, he actually left the priesthood."
The girls were shocked into silence. They couldn’t believe that the drake that was in their shop was Bishop. They felt a little jealous towards the girl who was going to go out on a date with him and probably would get laid by him.
~~~~~
The girl waited outside the beauty parlor at nine pm, when she noticed Bishop walking towards her. She smiled towards him as she walked towards him.
“Did you just get off?” Bishop asked.
“Yes, just a few minutes ago.” She said.
“I never got your name,” said Bishop.
She smiled. "My name is Anna, so which bar would you like to go to?"
"Not sure, know any good ones?"
“There’s one that is close by my home. I go there when I had a rough day.” Anna replied, as she looked at him.
He smiled. "Then lead the way."
Anna led him to the bar and got a booth. She ordered two rum and soar; which was a sweet syrup. When it was added to rum, it made the rum not so overpowering to a beginner drinker. She figured it would be the wisest drink for Bishop to have as his first taste of alcohol. Bishop also ordered some food to go with the drinks as he was hungry.
“That’s wise to do, to have food with the alcohol. It will cut the effects down,” Anna stated, after the waitress walked away from the table with their order.
"I'll remember that," he said, "You'll have to forgive my uncertainty on things, most experiences and concepts are rather new to me."
“Don’t worry, with me as your guide, everything will go smoothly,” Anna said, as she ran her foot slowly over his leg. ‘Especially when we get into my apartment and you in my bed, your first time having sex will be explosive and very hot.’
Bishop smiled at the thought of having sex with this young woman sitting in front of him, he knew she was thinking about bedding him. “I have no doubt about that and plus I would like you to be my first as it would most likely be explosive and hot.”
“You heard me think that?” Anna whispered softly. Bishop nodded just as the drinks and the food arrived.
"I can read minds, it's rather easy, and usually the only thing that was stopping me was my vows."
“Wow. Cheers to breaking vows and making love,” she said, as she raised her glass and took a nice sip of the liquor.
Bishop picked his glass up and took a nice big sip of it. It burned at first and then the sweetness of the soar dampened the feeling down. He liked the taste of it.
“It’s good isn’t?” Anna asked.
"It is; I'll definitely have a couple more before we go to your place."
About thirty minutes later, and two more rum and soars for them both. Bishop and Anna headed for her apartment. Bishop didn’t feel drunk or anything beyond feeling really good. All through the meal and the drinks, her foot rubbed against his legs and then got between his legs and with her toes managed to rub Bishop’s penis through the leather pants. She knew he was getting hard by how he started to adjust how he sat and by how his rod started to bulge out of his pants.
Anna led Bishop to her room where she kissed him passionately on the bill as his hands drew her close to his body. Bishop felt her hands start to untie his pants as she kissed him. Her hands pushed his pants down as her hand gently held his rod.
Bishop moaned as his rod felt the silken hand of a woman stroking it till his penis became rock hard. Anna broke the kiss as she drifted down his neck and soon her kisses rained down on his naked chest as her hand stroked his rod.
Anna licked the tip of his rod before she claimed his rod with her mouth. She started to thrust her mouth over his rod slowly at first letting him get used to her suction and then she started to speed things up a bit.
Bishop trembled in ecstasy; Anna could taste the precum at the tip of his rod. She stopped sucking and nudged him towards the bed, once she got him on his back she mounted him and slid his rod into her; he was definitely the biggest she'd ever had buried within her warmth. If it wasn't for the fact that this was his first time she would have insisted on a condom due to some diseases going around, though was mentally glad she was on the pill.
Bishop moaned as he felt her warmth on his rod, her breasts were so nice and soft he couldn't help touching them, caressing them. He bent up as he claimed her nipple with his lips as he suckled and teased the nipples. He felt a jolt coming from his pouch under his rod as he knew his seeds were starting their approach to his tip of his rod. “Anna, it’s…oh my…it’s coming!”
Anna sped up the pace on his rod as she heard Bishop’s cry out and then she felt his rod stiffen as his legs stiffened as she felt him empty his load deep into her body, just as she felt her warmth tighten against his thick rod. “Oh Bishop, I’m close!”
Anna flung her head back as Bishop held her hips and he thrust hard against her as he felt himself empty within her. Anna leaned against him as they relaxed from the session. She pulled off of Bishop’s thick rod and lay next to him. “You were great, Bishop. Your rod is by far the thickest one I have ever seen or had within me.”
“Thanks, this was definitely explosive. I would like to pleasure you since you gave me pleasure,” Bishop said, as he looked at her sweaty body lying there next to him.
She giggled. "Do you know how?"
Bishop grinned. "I can guess," he said as he maneuvered on top of her and began suckling her for a bit before moving down to her warmth and began to nuzzle it, before tasting their mixed fluids.
Anna felt Bishop’s tongue lick at her swollen folds as he started to stroke her entrance with a finger mimicking the motions of intercourse. He added another finger and then another till he had three fingers thrusting deep within her warmth. He pulled his fingers away from her warmth as his hand went to his limp penis and after connecting his mind with Anna seeing what he should do next, smiled as he gave his penis a few minutes of his attention before he placed the head of his very thick rod at her entrance to her warmth and pushed an inch of his rod into her and then he pushed all the way in and started a very rhythmic thrust in and out of her. Soon, his thrust were going faster as he listened to her cries of pleasure and then he started to hear his own grunts as he made very hot passionate love to her.
It was another ten minutes of his deep thrusts into her before his seeds exploded deep into her body and he wrapped his arms around her as he thrust even deeper than he did before.
“Wow…that felt…that was unbelievable, Bishop. Are you sure you were virgin?” asked Anna, as she looked at him.
Bishop nodded. "You are my first,"
Anna smiled. "I'm guessing you read my mind again?"
Bishop shrugged. "How else would you know how a lady liked it?"
Anna smiled as she kissed him passionately. “I could do this all night long. You are the best, Bishop.” Her hands stroked his back as her legs wrapped around him and her hips bucked against his just enough to arouse the attention of his rod.
Bishop smiled. "I'd like that,"
They continued the sexual experimentation till both were exhausted, for the first time in a very long time, Bishop felt completely at peace. He laid in bed looking at Anna as she slept against his chest. He knew how to please a woman and how a woman like Anna could please him so well. He knew he could now have a family and be a father. Would she be interested in having him as a husband or would she want him to go out and experiment with other women? He’ll ask her when she wakes, as he closed his eyes and fell into a calm slumber.
Anna woke before him, Bishop was truly a handsome drake, but there was still a sense of innocence about him, he was the type of drake that a lot of women would want to settle down with. She sighed; she wasn't ready to have a family. Besides, as much as Bishop may have learned from breaking his vows, he needed to see the world from a drake’s point of view instead of a priest’s. She would guide his experience as she realized that the world could be cruel to someone as sweet as Bishop. She would stay with him but let him lead the way. She wouldn’t mind being a wife to him but kids would wait till Bishop saw the world with a drake’s eyes.
She mentally mused, "Mrs. Bishop..." What was his last name? She tried to think back to everything she had read or had about him, they had never mentioned his last name. She'd have to ask him when he woke up.
It was an hour later, did Bishop wake up, though the drake really didn’t want to get out of bed, as he laid there looking at Anna. She was sweet and very helpful. “Good morning,” he whispered, as he kissed her bill.
“Morning,” Anna said, as she responded to his kiss. Her hands ran over his back and grabbed his firm ass. “How do you feel?”
“I feel like I am a drake, instead of a priest. I never felt that much passion in my entire life, I felt like I was reborn last night thanks to you, Anna,” Bishop stated, as he ran his hand over her hair and then drift down to her breast where he cupped it in his hand.
She smiled gently. "I have a silly question for you."
"What is that?"
"What's your last name?"
Bishop sighed. "In truth I don't know, I never knew my real name, one of the other boys at the monastery got fed up with me not having a name and started calling me Bishop, it's stuck with me even since."
"How did you end up in a monastery with no name? Did your parents’ abandon you?"
Bishop shook his head. "All I know is that who ever my parents were, they died in a hover car crash when I was probably around 12, I don't remember anything from before I woke up in the hospital, the doctors told me I was lucky to be alive. There is a lot I don't know about myself, including when I was born, or even how old I am."
Anna thought and then she climbed out of bed without even saying a word. Bishop at first felt that she was not very pleased with that information and was going to order him out of her bed and apartment. She opened a book of some kind and started to flip through it till she reached the page she was looking for. She picked up the phone and dialed a number. Bishop didn’t really listen to what she was doing as he was busy getting his clothes on.
“What are you doing?” asked Anna, as she looked at him.
“Leaving,” replied Bishop.
“No, you’re not.” She grabbed his pants and pulled them off of him. “You are staying here with me. Don’t you want to know what I was doing?”
“Telling me to leave,” Bishop said.
“That was not what I was doing. I was calling the record office to see if we could come down and do some research on a drake; that’s in need of looking for his family, if the monastery is still around, their records will probably be in the record office. We can go at 9am to start the search for your real name, Bishop,” said Anna.
"The monastery burned down before the vendetta Anna, I've looked, they won't find anything, the only place there'd probably be any records is maybe Sky High archives, or in Limbo." he sighed. "The only person who can get into either those archives is Talamaska."
“Come on, maybe they stored the information somewhere else instead of at the monastery. You must check it out with the JAGs giving us all the information that they had, surely your history is in our records now,” Anna said, as she straddled him on the bed.
“Are you sure?” asked Bishop, as he looked at her. Deep inside, he knew it was a long shot that the JAGs would even have his real birth information in the database.
“Yes, just try to have some hope that you will find out who you are,” Anna said, before she kissed him.
He returned the kiss, for her he'd try, no matter how hopeless it is.
~~~~~
They arrived at the records office just after 9 am, at first they looked up the records for the name Bishop; they found all his files from after the crash but nothing before. One of the girls decided that they weren't going to find anything on him by that method, so she imputed his hair, eyes and feather color, and crossed referenced it with car crashes ten years before the vendetta. Five results came up. Two were Surfer, two were Blader and one was neither. She looked to Anna and Bishop. "Does he have any birthmarks or other markings?"
Bishop shook his head, “Not that I know of,"
"There is a tattoo on his back by his shoulder blade," Ana stated, she had noticed it during their night of hot sex.
The records lady entered the marking information; the only record that remained was the unknown. "The crash is in the records, but the only thing recorded is him as a survivor, they couldn't ID him as Surfer or Blader, were there any other social groupings back then?"
Bishop raised a brow. "There was; those of Dublin,"
“Well, then, I suggest you to go their Embassy to get the information as Dublin is not very open with their records,” the record lady stated.
Anna thanked her for all the help as they headed down the steps and to the street. “Want to go to the Dublin’s Embassy or return to the apartment?”
"To the apartment, I'm going to give Sassy a call; if I'm going to inquire I'll do so directly with their monarch."
Anna nodded as it would save their energy for more pleasurable delights if it didn’t work out. She knew she could ease his sorrow if they didn’t find his record with the Dublin people. Anna start to brew some water as she watched as Bishop called a girl by the name of Sassy. Turned out that the girl who he had called was the widow of Nosedive Flashblade, one of the heroes of the war against Dragaunus.
“Sure, I’ll get the message to Lolita, Bishop. I’m sure she’ll have some information for you. You might want to travel here,” Sassy said.
“I would need to go to the Embassy, wouldn’t I?” asked Bishop.
"You could just sky surf to Sunset Valley, bring your girl friend along with you, this should get interesting,"
"Alright, I'll see you in a bit then." he said before hanging up. “Anna, Sassy says that we should go to Sunset Valley, have you ever sky surfed before?"
“I never sky surfed before,” Anna said, as she handed him a cup of tea.
He took a sip. "Well my advice would be holding on tight during the trip, we'll be sky surfing over there, also wear something warm. I'm used to the chill of the wind up in the upper atmosphere, you aren't,"
Anna nodded as she went to her closet and changed into something very warm and it turned out to be a very sexy outfit as well. Bishop was almost tempted to remain there in the apartment and have sex with her but finding out who he really was; was in a way more important than having sex and he promised himself that he and Anna would have hot passionate sex later.
~~~~~~
Anna and Bishop surfed to Sunset Valley where Sassy was waiting for them at the front door. Sassy spoke, as she looked at them with a smile on her face.
"Welcome to Sunset Valley, Bishop. I spoke with Lolita; she's waiting for you at the DNA lab in downtown Dublin Prime."
Bishop nodded. "Can you show me where that is?"
"Why do you think I told you to meet me here, silly?"
Bishop smiled, as he glanced over to his girlfriend. “Sassy Flashblade, this is Anna, my girlfriend,”
Sassy looked at Anna and held her hand out to shake hers. “Sassy Flashblade, I’m the widow of Nosedive Flashblade. Welcome to Sunset Valley, the home of the Flashblade family. Lolita doesn’t want to wait, so if you are ready to find out who you are, then follow me.”
Bishop allowed Anna to go before him as he followed Sassy to the waiting vehicle and they drove towards Dublin Prime and to the DNA building where two Raptrins stood at the door one was a purple haired, brown feathered male and the other was female with red hair and brown feathers dressed in official clothes.
Lolita stepped forward without a hint of emotion. "You are Bishop?" she said to the red feathered male.
Bishop nodded. "You must be the head Dove, Lolita is your name from what I heard."
"You heard correctly, now come."
Bishop followed Lolita into the building where the doctor took blood samples. Now all they needed to do was the hard part - wait for the results. The purple haired male looked at Bishop with a wondering gaze.
“Are you…Bishop the famed priest of the JAGs?” he asked.
“Yes,” replied Bishop. “I am now looking for my birth parents and who I really am.”
“May we see your tattoo?” Rowain asked.
Bishop shrugged. "Sure," he said as he removed his shirt.
Rowain looked at the tattoo and then turned to look at Lolita. They both walked away from Bishop and talked quietly. Lolita nodded as Rowain went to a computer nearby and started to type something into the computer.
“Lolita, you should come here and look at this. It’s the Stormdoves,” Rowain stated calmly and yet there was a barest hint of emotion.
“What? But they are all dead. It is impossible for them to be alive?” whispered Lolita, as she looked at the computer screen and saw what Rowain had seen.
The doctor who took Bishop’s blood sample cleared his throat to get their attentions. “I have the results back. We had to go all the way back through our DNA data base to the beginning of the Doves to find it,”
“What do you mean to the beginning?” asked Lolita.
“When we first started to collect all the DNA of all Doves, Lolita, this drake’s DNA states he’s none other than Jengo Stormdoves – the last of all the Stormdoves,” said the doctor.
Lolita stood in thought then looked to Rowain. "Isn't it strange that the lines Death tried to take from us; have some how survived? When my father was still alive, five of the seven lines that had thought to have been killed or no longer are Dove, returned, and now we complete again."
"What are you implying?"
"Something is up, and someone, not of the Guardians is protecting us, the only reason someone like that would do such a thing is if they needed our help," she smiled. "When the war does come, we will fight."
“But who would do something like this for us?” asked Rowain. “To bring us the last of the Stormdoves, even if I didn’t see his tattoo and the DNA results I would question why now and who is doing this?”
Bishop spoke, “I think I know who and he’s considered the protector of the Necromancers, if you knew who I mean, you will know.”
"I always thought that being was a myth," Rowain said.
"He’s real, and he's not as bad as people think,"
“Very well, Bishop or should we call you by your true birth name of Jengo Stormdoves?” asked Rowain, looking at him.
"Unless for formal things, Bishop will do, it's the one I'm most use to." Bishop stated.
Lolita smiled, “Well, we can have your first name become officially Bishop. You can easily be named Bishop Stormdoves, if you so desire it.”
“I would like that, Lolita,” Bishop said.
Anna wasn't sure how to take the information. She wasn't prejudice or anything, but the Doves were dangerous, maybe she'd be better off leaving him with them since he is one. She silently backed away from Bishop and headed for the door. But then, her heart asked her, ‘Why leave such a handsome, loving drake like him and give him the first taste of rejection because of who his family is? You must be crazy to leave him. Turn your ass around and go back to him! You love him no matter who his family is!’
Bishop gently put a hand on her shoulder. "Something on your mind,"
Anna turned to face him. “I think it would be best for both of us…if I leave,”
“Leave, why?” asked Bishop. His eyes started to tear up. Here was the woman with whom he had shared his first time with telling him she thought it was best for her and him to break up and go their separate ways.
"Bishop, it's not that I don't care about you, but your best off with your own people."
"Anna, you’re not making any sense."
"Think about it, I don't think I'd be able to stay sane with the different customs and rules. I can't even stand the sight of blood without getting sick."
“The white band law is in effect for Bishop’s family, Anna.” Rowain spoke.
“What do you mean?”
”Meaning there is only one member of Bishop’s family left and it’s him. Therefore, he and any children his wife will bear to him for over several generations are safe from the usual bloodshed of our culture,” Rowain stated calmly.
"Will you reconsider Anna?"
Anna was quiet as she looked at Bishop. “So how does a marriage ceremony work here?”
Bishop couldn’t believe it! Even though he never really asked her, it was on his mind. “Are you now reading my mind, love?”
"No, it's just common sense, if not now, there will probably never be a second chance."
Lolita smiled. "It's quite simple, no ceremony involved, just a signed agreement with the terms of the marriage, nothing more."
Bishop thought for a moment. “Like a prenuptial agreement?”
“What’s that?” asked Lolita.
“It’s a piece of paper that states who gets what if the marriage ends in divorce,” Bishop explained.
"Similar to that, it also minimizes the unnecessary bloodshed." Lolita said.
“Okay, where do we get this paper at, so Bishop and I can get married?” asked Anna. Then, she turned to look at Bishop. “If you still want me to be your wife, mother of your children, Bishop?”
"Why would I not?"
She just smiled and wrapped her arms around him. “You are the best."
He kissed her on the forehead. "Come, lets make our union official,"
“Lolita, where would we find someone to bear witness to our marriage…or union?” asked Anna. “For me and Bishop Stormdoves wish to get married.”
"I'll witness, since he has no other family," she replied.
“So how do we do this?” Bishop asked, as he looked towards Lolita and Rowain. “I have served as a priest to weddings but not my own and not a Dove wedding,”
Lolita simply laughed. "It's all paperwork, after everything is files though, the marriage becomes public and a party is thrown in honor of it."
“Great! So let’s get the paperwork over with and get down to business!” chuckled Bishop, as he lifted Anna up into his arms, not really caring about hiding the bulge in his pants.
Lolita laughed as she told Bishop to place his wife down and do something about the bulge in his pants. He chuckled as he placed her down but he kept his arms around her. Lolita smiled as she led them to the person who would give them the paperwork to sign before they made it fully official. Lolita witnessed the signing of the papers and the vial of blood as the married couple. It was a DNA thing that they did to make sure that their children would share their parent’s DNA.
The Raptrin on the other side of the desk said, as he handed them the certificate stating that they were now drake and wife. “Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Stormdoves, you are hereby married.”
Bishop and Anna kissed passionately as they sat there. Lolita had to tap them on the shoulder to get them to get up and head outside. Rowain was waiting for them to come out. The look on his beak said it all. Lolita said, “They are happily married now.”
"Yep, the celebration should be in a couple days."
"Where will they be staying?"
"They are welcome to stay at the castle until they are settled in Dublin, or they may wish to live outside Dublin, but it would be on the condition their children study at one of the embassies."
Bishop pulled away from kissing Anna. He pointed towards Dublin castle. “We’ll be staying close to that castle. I have always had a thing for castles.”
“As I do,” Anna stated. “We want to find a nice home where we can be as frisky as possible without being seen out other Doves.”
“I will find out if there is a home like that. It shall be my wedding gift to you,” Rowain said, as he walked away from them.
“Now come, for now, you can stay in the castle. I’m sure; you two will want to spend time together in bed.” Lolita said, as she led them both towards the castle.
”You have no idea, Lolita.” Bishop stated, as he wrapped his arm around Anna’s waist.
“So how long have you been a widow, Lolita?” asked Anna.
“I’m not a widow. I never took a mate,” said Lolita, gently.
"Oh," was her only reply.
~~~~~~~
Cobra raised a brow; he had never expected Bishop to walk away from being a priest. He grinned, he'd have to show up for the party in his full glory then, it should be fun.
