Fourth set of wings is the seeker equivalent of the fifth wheel.
Okay, so this isn't so much what Jade's thinking about during the opening scenes of "Unlikely Pair" but it's close. There was two times after this that she and the Decepticseekers er-well... got together. This is the first time it happened. There was more dialogue in my imagined version, but it got lost in the typing.
I apologise. I was hurrying. :-)
I might redo it, eventually.
Or at least put a fanchar100 tag on it.....

Title: Fourth Set Of Wings (was going to be "Trine plus one", but I'm saving it for the sequel eheheheheh.

Jade circled west, flying out towards the nearby woods on her daily patrol. She sighed, wishing it was just a bit more interesting that the usual 'fly in circles, get nowhere, then go back to base' routine. "Just a fly on a string, going in circles trying to get free." she mumbled. Hey, that sounded almost lyrical. She idly wondered if her brain circuitry had finally given up and gone to sleep on her, and whether or not it had reverted to simple song lyrics in a feeble attempt to communicate with the rest of her. She mentally shook her head. No, she couldn't really shake her head in jet mode. She sighed again and swept her scanners around, then headed further up towards the cloudline.
The last thing she wanted to do was be accused of buzzing Hound on patrol through the forest.... Or did she? She grinned at the mental image of Hound feeding a timid deer, then buzzing past him and have both freak out. Nah. He probably wasn't there right now, anyway. She didn't know his patrol route, so she didn't know where he was right now.
As she ascended, the seeker's scanners suddenly blipped, bringing the jet out of her thoughts. Decepticons!
She tuned in her radio, catching the tail end of their conversation. She wanted to just fly in and start shooting, but according to protocol, she had to warn them off first. As Prowl had told her to do. Apparently, the femmeseeker had gotten into a bit too much trouble with catching Decepticons (how was she supposed to know Sunstreaker had Jet-Judo-ed Starscream during the last battle when she started shooting at him?)
She interrupted their conversation. "Attention, Decepticons. You are in Autobot airspace. Leave immediately, or else.”
There was half a second of silence, then Thundercracker mumbled something about "Stupid Autobots think they own the world and the air in it."
Starscream's voice filtered through. "Or else what, Auto-brat?" the seeker sneered.
"Or... I'll open fire." Jade tried to hide her moment's hesitation, but it didn't work. She had almost said "I'll call for backup", but boy would *that* have sounded weak. eheh.
The trio of jets didn't listen to her. Instead, they swung around, staying in their triangular formation even though they turned so sharply it made Jade wonder how they were always that coordinated. She had heard rumors that flier trios, or "Trines", as they were called bonded their sparks together, so they could stay closely coordinated. She answered back, turning at an angle, realizing too late she had turned away from the Ark instead of towards it (curses! everything looked so different from up here!)
"Turn away, or I will be forced to call backup."
Skywarp came on this time. "Oh, what's wrong little femmebot, can't handle the seekers by yourself?" Jade bit back a sarcastic (and equally snarky) reply and sped up. She didn't even realize someone had gotten a missile lock until it was too late. Two null rays lanced out and caught her in the wings. She quickly turned her radio on. "Jade to base.... I'm under attack." the only reply she got was a short burst of static. She cursed again. Her wing flaps weren't responding. She was going down. And she couldn't level out without her wing flaps. The null ray had knocked out her communications, and her flight computer was starting to fritz. she decided to transform. not a good idea at 5,000 feet, but it was better than crashing in jetmode.
The mauve and blue jet twisted and turned as her robotic form emerged from the jet's chassis. She reached for her pistols, but someone grabbed her wrists from behind. "Oh no ya don't." Skywarp had teleported behind her. The last thing she saw was Starscream's null ray firing.
It was dark. But the jet's optics focused themselves, and her audios picked up the sounds of the ocean tide rolling in and out. She kept her optics powered almost all the way down, so the glow wouldn't alert the others in the cave to her being awake. She was kneeling, there was sand under her, and it appeared she was in a small cave on the beach. Wait, she wasn't alone. *they* were on the beach. Slag. She wondered just where on the globe they were.
Her arms were held tightly up over her by a chain and shackles, and she discovered two more shackles around her legs just under her knee-joints that kept her in a kneeling position. those had been secured about a shoulder width apart. So she had very little or no room to wiggle and struggle. Not that she was thinking about it currently.
"Most unusual", she thought. "they usually have hands and feet restrained (standing) but, eh, maybe it's a Decepticon thing. Not like I've ever been their prisoner before." she thought.
"Well, well, look who's awake." Skywarp teased.
"About time." Starscream sneered.
"Now now, Screamer, don't you know it's not nice to be impolite to a ladybot?" he grinned. Jade onlined her optics fully and peered up at the three.
"Who ever said she was a lady?" Thundercracker snarked back.
"Oh ha-ha Sky, very funny." Jade said, but only in half-seriousness. She knew they were Decepticons, yes. But they were seekers. Like her. And she wasn't actually *technically* an Autobot. She was a Kintaari, a neutral by lamen's terms.
she continued "If you don't mind me asking-"
"Actually I do." starscream snapped. "Megatron will be pleased when we return the traitor to him."
Jade interrupted him with a huff. "I'm not a traitor, I was barely even a Decepticon. It was, like, for what, for a week?" she shook her head. "Quit acting like a jilted lover, Star."
Starscream's mouth worked, but no sound came out. How *dare* she! He was *not* acting like a jilted lover, or a jilted anything! He was just mad that.... well, a lot of reasons.
A. he had warned Megatron, for the umpteen-hundredth time that she was a spy.
B. that she had almost gotten away (well, then she really *did* get away, and
C. that *he* had gotten blamed for it somehow.
"How DARE you!" he finally spat, backhanding the femme across the face.
Jade dimmed one optic in a slightly quirky look. "Ow." she stated emotionlessly. Like that hurt. Hah! she knew sparklets that hit harder than that. "So, what now, then?" she tilted her head to one side. "Take me back to your leader so he can get the..."
(she adopted a tone of false-awe here)
..."oh-so-mighty-and-powerfull-device..."
(she dropped the tone for a flat one)
"...that turns Transformers into humans."
She gave him a smirk that mirrored his own. Starscream glared in reply. Jade simply shrugged, seemingly oblivious to the fact that she was shackled up, arms over her head, knees secured to the floor. (she was still wondering how they had achieved that. It still felt like only sand under her.) She shrugged. "I don't have any access codes or anything to give you. And if you offline me, you know I'll just come back... oops." She quickly looked at the floor, realising her mistake. Starscream leaned forward. "Ah. And there you have it."
Jade hissed a curse under her breath. If the Decepticons got their hands on the Transmognifier, (the device in question here), they would not only have virtual immortality, but, well, actually, death meant being teleported to her home-dimension as a human. and in her world, the Transformers were only cartoons. There would be nobody to protect her world from them if they found a way to open that doorway to this world. And they would, as she was able to do, but only after going there (as a human).
She was only comforted by the fact that the device she had in her subspace didn't always accept everyone that came into contact with it. Only certain people.
Thundercracker smirked and moved closer. Jade glared at all three of them. "Yeah. go ahead and tell bucket head." she hissed, trying her best not to let her voice shake. "Let him become a human, maybe you can squish him while you're at it. Oh wait, you can't. You'd have to have the device in order to control what it does."
"Huh?" Thundercracker looked at Starscream. Suddenly recognition crossed the seeker's face. Jade rolled her optics. "Three years, Star. You never once realised it, did you?" she looked at him. "What do you think happened that he found out I had it?" she paused for a second. "The Kintaari turned Megatron human and replaced him with Bullet, our lookalike. But, whoever is linked to the device can gain control of it if it accepts them. it didn't accept Megatron as a controller because he's too different from my personality." She didn't want to admit it in front of the Air commander's trinemates, but it had been strategic. Without Megatron to lead, Starscream would have taken over. And Starscream couldn't lead worth a slagheap. It would have been easy to defeat the Decepticons once and for all. And that had been her whole point. It was the plan to turn him human and step on him. But he had gotten away before she or any of her friends could."
Skywarp stood up. "I'm bored."
Thundercracker gave his wingmate a dubious look. "You're allways bored." he stated.
Skywarp shrugged.
Jade smirked.
"Scary thought."
Starscream glared. "Shut up."
Jade tilted her head to one side, and looked over at Skywarp. "Three words: Megatron in pink. That was you, wasn’t it?"
Thundercracker started giggling. Skywarp chuckled.
"it's not funny." Starscream glared, annoyed.
"Yes it was." Skywarp grinned practically from audio to audio.
Jade snickered. "Hey, can I ask you guys something?"
Starscream and Skywarp simultaneously said "No!" and "Sure."
Starscream gave Skywarp another glare. Jade shifted a bit. "..."
"Nevermind." she looked out at the ocean.
"You Autobots are all so... polite." Starscream sniffed.
Jade opticshifted to glance at him. "Fine. I heard flier trines bond their sparks for coordination. That they can communicate at the speed of thought. Is that true?"
Thundercracker started chuckling. Starscream grated "That is none of your business."
Jade shrugged.
"And I suppose Autobots don't?" Thundercracker asked.
Jade paused, then finally looked up at him with an almost confused look. "Autobots... don't... have seekers." she stated.
Starscream looked at her. "What do you call those buffoons, the Aerialbots, then?"
"fliers. Jets, I suppose. They certainly aren't seekers. They're mostly... well, I'm not sure what they are. I think one of them's a jet. But he's not an Eagle like we are."
Starscream mumbled something about the jet had better not compare herself to him."
Starscream wandered away from their 'prisoner' He wanted to find out what kind of information she had, but if Megatron found out, he'd be very unhappy about it. If only he could find a way to get it past his trinemates...
Skywarp was starting to look bored again, and had taken to taunting Thundercracker from behind, who was attempting to question the femme. The darkly-colored jet ran his fingers across the top of Thundercracker's wings. A shudder ran across the jet's frame, and he gave Skywarp a glance over his shoulder. Starscream finally made up his mind, and walked over. "I say we find out what kind of information this... femme has before turning her over to Megatron."He stated. Thundercracker looked up. "We can't trash 'er. He'll be mad." he argued. Starscream smirked. "We won't have to." Skywarp's fingers reached Thundercracker's wingtips, and pinched lightly, making the seeker dim his optics momentarily. They *had* been interrupted by Jade earlier when she ran across them, after all.
Jade's optics widened slightly. She was afraid to ask what they meant.
"We won't have to." Starscream amended, walking in a slow cirlce around the kneeling jet. Jade gulped silently. Part of her wanted to see what it was like to merge energy fields with another seeker, but doing so might enable them to reach the device. And she couldn't let that happen.
She slowly reached for her lock pick, which was in a small pocket on the side of her right wrist-gauntlet. Hopefully, they wouldn't see. She heard Starscream stop and slowly kneel behind her. She bit her lower lip and tried to concentrate on getting to the lock pick slowly. If she pulled it out too fast they would see it.
Thundercracker looked distastefully at the jet. "I have half a mind to tell Megatron what you're up to." he folded his arms. Starscream glared over Jade's shoulder. "And I'll tell him how you've been bribing the cassetticons to get that high-grade you so enjoy."
The seeker's face darkened angrily. Instead of replying, he grabbed Jade's jawline and kissed the seeker hard. The jet eeped as the blue jet's glossa wormed it's way between her lips, and into her mouth. Starscream stood, apparently wanting to interface, but not wanting to do any of the work. Skywarp jumped right in, though. He knelt behind the femme and his hands made their way around her sides, and into the space between her front and back armor plates.
Thundercracker's hands slid lower on her hips, and up into the underside of her legs. The femme squeaked and tried to move away. But he persisted, first slipping one finger into the space between leg and torso armor plates (on both legs), then two. Jade shivered at the sensation, and tried to force it away. These were Decepticons, damnit! she couldn't let them do this! He slowly slid his hands up, across her torso armor, up to her waistline, up to her cockpit. He broke the kiss and leaned back, wiping the back of one hand across his mouth.
Starscream took hold of Jade's wingtips and pulled back. The pressure hurt, and the jet's wings moved where they were puled. He then kept hold, but instead of pinching, the red and blue jet started massaging the sensor-imbedded points with his fingetips, squeezing gently, but not enough to cause pain.
Jade shivered moaned softly at the pleasure being sent down her wings and across her back. Thundercracker pulled back and punched Jade's canopy. The glass shattered, and the femmejet yelped in suprise, and jerked, pulling her wingtips out of Starscream's grasp. He ignored it and grabbed hold of the points firmly again. Not that it hurt having the canopy glass broken, really. More less of a stinging sensation. What really hurt was what happened next. Thundercracker yanked and pulled at the metal, twisting the canopy frame out of the surrounding metal on Jade's chest.
Behind her, Skywarp's fingers dug deeper into the space under Jade's arms, and forward where her air intake sensors were. His fingers brushed the protective wire-mesh screens covering them, and the sensors at the bottom. Jade gasped as dizziness overtook her, and moaned again softly, dropping the lock pick. She cursed out loud as it hit Thundercracker's knee in front of her. The jet picked it up. "What's this?" he waved it in front of her face.
"What. Is. this!?" he demanded.
"Looks like a lock pick to me." Skywarp sounded from her left shoulder. Thundercracker backhanded the jet hard, making her head snap sharply to the side.
"What. Did you really think I'd just... kneel here and let you have your way with me!?" Jade hissed.
Thundercracker didn't reply. He just pulled out a small lasercutter and started removing the cockpit controls and chair, taking chunks of metal with it. Jade shrieked and writhed in agony.
Skywarp leaned back. "Would someone shut her up, please!?" he covered his audios. Starscream brought out a small square. It looked like a flat rectangle, with three legs on either side of it pointing outward at a 90 degree angle from the flat side of the board. He went around in front of the jet, and shoved it into the front of her throat.
"What are you... no..." the rest of the sentence died into static as the inhibitor ship scrambled the vocalizer impulses.
"There." Starscream made a mocking motion of dusting his hands off. "That should shut her up for a while." Thundercracker smirked and yanked on the cockpit flight controls. Skywarp extracted one hand from her internals and ran two fingers around the top of where her cockpit used to be. His right hand, which was still inside her, moved left a little bit, getting closer to her center line.
Jade was dizzy, and the pain was searing.
She wanted to scream, but couldn't make the sounds come out! She started to panic.
What if the Autobots couldn't rescue her?
The pain finally subsided.
She tried to concentrate, maybe she could make her emergency beacon activate.
Skywarp's fingers were inside of her chestplate, she could feel his hand moving around. The tips brushed a circuitboard, sending streaks of warmth down her front and through her midsection. Now someone was massaging her wibngtips again. Oh....Oh, Primus! the fingers under her armor brushed a power cable, and the sensation doubled. She bit back a moan, barely resisting the urge to moan aloud, and Thundercracker's hands slid into the now exposed circuitry under her cockpit.
She hissed and turned her body from one side to the other, trying to dislodge the hands. But it seemed nearly impossible.
And even more impossible to stay still, and resist the urge to move with the with the sensations being sent through her. And her body was reacting to the seeker trine's teasing, even though she didn't want it to.
The fingers tracing the still-aching metal around where her cockpit used to be moved back inside, but instead of following Thundercracker's delicious torture in and around the center of her chest, his fingers slid upward, hitting a main computer line. Jade whimpered. Starscream finally reappeared in her range of vision. "Having fun yet?" He smirked, and his fingers caught the latches where her wings slid into the fittings on her back. The wings slid up and away. Jade eeped softly as a tickling sensation started creeping up her back. The feeling of something smooth and moist sliding up and into those sensor connection strips where her wings connected. Starscream's glossa traced up the top section of the strip, which was imbedded with the micro-sized connections that linked the sensors imbedded in her wings to her neural net. He slowly paused at one of the sensor connection indentions, running his glossa around and over it, tesing, stimulating the sensors, one by one. Jade shudderred again.
She gulped out loud, and tried to will her internals to cool down. But it didn't work. She suddenly realised she was panting. Thundercracker leaned in and skywarp's face appeared over her right shoulder. She glanced over out of the corner of their eye. They were kissing! Starscream was prying at her back armor, and she wondered why. There were pieces of her plating that could be removed for maintenance, yes. But they were quite small. And only a seeker would know which one would lead to nothing in particular, and which ones would lead to important circuitry.
Liquid pleasure like lightning streaked through her from her right side forward. Apparently, he knew which access panels led to which internal circuits (sensitive ones) from her back panels that couldn't be reached from around front. Starscream drew in a shuddering breath as tiny wires snaked into the access space, and filtered their way into the femme's circuitry, looking for a place to connect.
Thundercracker's hand made it's way into the wiring her middle, a small distance under her spark chamber. And the other brushed across a circuit board in her midsection. Jade panted a little faster. The access panel at the bottom of her cockpit slid open. Skywarp grinned and moved over to the right to give Starscream more room. Thundercracker grabbed Jade's head behind her helmet and kissed her again, tasting the jet's mouth with his own. Tracing the insides of her mouth with his glossa. Jade moaned into his mouth as though arguing, but couldn't do much more for the 'gag box' attached to her vocalizer.
She gasped when his fingers traced the open interface port, around the edges of the connector jack. She tried to move away. It was too much! She tried to argue, but it came out as a louder moan. Another flash of electricity, this time from her solar plexus area, behind her spark chamber. A fiery field, with tinges of numbing burning iciness flowed into her own, and the jet tried to resit the shaking.
"Oh yeah.." Skywarp grinned at Thundercracker, who broke the kiss with Jade and leaned in to kiss him. "How do you want to do this?" he breathed.
"Same as usual." came the reply.
Starscream's optics had dimmed, and he tightened his grip on Jade's sides, sliding his fingers further into her circuitry, enjoying every delicious twinge of electricity that was coming off the femmeseeker. "Yes... let me know... tell me..." he almost breathed. Jade tried to resist, and even squirmed, finalny regaining some composure now that the other two jets were distracted with each other. "Let me go." She tried to say. But it came out as static. The jet jerked away from Starscream, sending a sharp twang of pain down the connection of wires. Starscream hissed and shoved his hands deeper into the circuitry, brushing the sensors around her spark chamber, and yanked her back toward him. Jade froze, shaking, and her optics offlined.
Skywarp had glanced over, and back at Thundercracker, who had Skywarp's interface panel open, tracing the delicate circuitry. Skywarp sat abruptly, moving his legs apart more. "You like that?" Thundercracker questioned quietly.
"Oh yeah, give it to me." Skywarp panted.
Thundercracker bent down and ran his glossa over the normally protected circuits, earning a shary cry of pleasure from his trinemate. Before Skywarp could recover, TC Snapped his connector plug into the port.
Starscream made a soft noise, and Jade's legs quivered. Skywarp's hand was inside of where her cockpit control panel would be. And dangerously close to a certain interfacing cable that was meant *never* to be touched.
"Ohhhhhh." The jet arched her back and the fingers twitched and tightened. Starscream moaned softly over her shoulder. His interface was open, and slate gray fingers were sliding slowly up and down over the sensitive wire. He finally reached around the jet.
"You..." he panted. "Should thank me. You are going to enjoy this." He shoved the plug in.
"OooOuuuhOOOOHHHHHh." Jade moaned aloud and arched her back as a flood of pleasure flowed from the open interface, spreading to her sensor network, setting every circuit on fire, every wire singing with pleasure. The other two jets turned back to her, then they looked at Starscream.
"Hey screamer, you want some-a this?" Thundercracker panted." Starscream acted like he didn't hear them. Instead, his fingers found a space in the armor under Jade's spark chamber, a tiny circular access port, covered by a camera lense-like covering, and a single fingertip traced it. Jade jerked and cried out, optics still offline. It was too much...
The fingertip was bigger than the access port, and would never get in anyway, but the contact in itself set off hundreds of other tiny sensors around her spark chamber. The jet cried out again, and wiggled from side to side, trying to escape the sensations that came crashing down on her in waves. Another jab of electricity told her the others had found a way in, also.
A different spot, different sensation, different sensor set ablaze in blue and white hot lightning.
Another jab of electricity, and a cold tendril of someone else's conciousness...
Finally, she felt the hands in front of her reach up under her spark chamber from the front. Around to behind her. She didn’t even know there was a space there. But there was. Even though it was very minute. Starscream's fingertip punched itself into the access port on her spark chamber from the back, and the hand in her midsection slid itself down around the internal interface wire and squeezed, then started moving slowly up and down. Massaging, fully encasing the cable, heat pouring off his hand into the normally-sensitive wire, now it was delicious white-hot prickles of pain and pleasure. The jet writhed.
The other two (or was it three?) hands teased wires, cuircuitry, pulling painfully one second, then tracing, tickling, and teasing another moment. Everything started to fade. Her vision was going staticy.
She could almost hear the ocean. But her audios were phasing in and out in waves, much alike the ocean outside. The sensations were building up inside of her...
"Too strong...."
"Have to get..."
"Have to get..."
"Free... OhOhOh– OOOOhhhhhhhh."
She trembled violently then froze. Body arching, mouth open in a silent scream. Grinding hips again nothing in front of her. Writhing like it would prolong the sensation. No need to scream, she didn't have to. The other three did for her. Starscream pressed up against her back, the heat from his body pouring over her in waves. Thundercracker and Skywarp's cries intertwined with the sound of their turbines coming online and speeding up to keep up with their cooling systems. Jade spasmed as her systems hit overload, then Starscream's systems were caught in the backwave, and TC and Skywarp also moving together, hands spasming on the wires and circuits as they gasped as though their motions would somehow extend their orgasm.
What seemed like an eternity later, although it was only mere minutes, the wonderful blanket of pleasure slowly unwrapped itself, and Jade panted as the sensation slowly, oh so slowly left her circuitry. And reality came back into view. She resisted the urge just to give into the tiredness and let darkness take over. But she knew they would win if she did. That they would get into her cpu and get to the device somehow. Her head lolled tiredly to the side.
"Oh no." Starscream panted from behind her. "we're not even close to being done yet." His finger withdrew itself from the spark-access port and the jet squirmed at the tickling sensation created by all the hands inside of her.
"Oh.... man..." Thundercracker rocked back on his heels and panted.
Skywarp pinched a wire, making Jade yelp.. "Heh. Wimp." he noted.
Jade hissed in reply.
Starscream disconnected from the other two, and carefully inserted the interface into the jet's tangled mess of wiring. Once he got it fully inside the closely-knit circuitry, it would seek out the energy source of Jade's lasercore on it's own. Jade shivered at the sensation of something snaking through her systems, and at the thought of forced spark-bonding, especially for this reason. The jet felt something touch her spark chamber. She tried to twist away, but Starscream grabbed he. "Hold her still, you fools." he hissed. TC and Skywarp looked at each other and complied. Jade seethed silently, and willed the device to go to anyone else who had ever touched it (that was kintaari) that they might not get it. She took a deep breath, and shuddered fiercely.
This was it.
There was nothing to stop them from doing this. Although Starscream would have to live with her being inside his head rattling at him constantly, heh. That thought almost consoled her.
The plug clicked in and pleasure like never before washed over the jet's form. The blue of her spark radiated outward, expanding, pressing on the casing.
She tried to scream, but no sounds would come out.
Starscream panted and made small throaty noises from behind her.
She tried to resist, but the burning pressing of his spark, demanding entry....
Starscream bit the side of her neck, not hard enough to leave a mark, but enough to distract her. The jet whined and the arrowlike spear of energy forced it's way through. Jade moaned aloud and Starscream pulled her tighter. Metal groaned in his grip. Her upper arm armor probably had dent marks in it now, thanks to him. As she struggled to get free, Starscream struggled more to get inside of her.
suddenly, something broke, and another flood of white-blue electricity flooded the jet's sensors.
She cried out weakly as the second overload hit, and Starscream moaned softly from behind her.
"One more...little...bit...in..."
She could *hear* him!
The plug slowly nudged into the port, turning slowly. Something clicked and it felt like something extended from the tip into the line (It was actually a data-stream, though)
There was a snap, more felt then heard, like a barrier breaking.
a blinding flash
Then there was nothingness.
empty darkness...
"Sta-ar."
"Hmm?"
"Screee-amer"
"What? who's there?"
darkness.
All he could see was darkness..
Jade chuckled.
"It's me, idiot. Did you really think you could get the device?"
"What.. who ?" Starscream glared into the ...whatever he was floating in.
Darkness, I guess you could call it.
"Jade." he glared more vehemently.
"Hey, you know my name!" there was a smirk in the reply.
"Where am I?"
"Guess."
"I have no time for guessing, auto-femme. Let me Go!" Starscream struggled against the nothingness holding him up. To which Jade simply laughed.
"You put yourself here. now..."
a pause, then "...no." Jade’s voice faded, being replaced my a miltitude of voices. Some high, some low. Some mech, some mecha (femme) And all screaming.
The darkness suddenly became a blinding red, punctuated by the piercing screams, and the sound of a hundred people crying out. a deafeningly loud rumbling bass voice bellowed
"Get Out."
Starscream came-to with a start. He glared at Jade, who had her head bowed.
*She* had done this.
He had failed.
And it was somehow her fault.
What the hell was going on inside her head?
He tried to find the connection, but all he got was:
"PainSufferingAnguishHelpmeHelpMe”
More Screams.
“LetusouthelpsodarkGETOUT”
”!!!-GET-OUT-!!!"
more screams punctuated that. Then a soft voice brought him back to reality.
"I don't like having others in my head." the voice was cold. Resolute.
Jade raised her head and looked at him with a glare.
Starscream glowered. "I want the device!" he hissed.
"It's not mine to give." Jade responded before putting her head back down to gaze at the sand under her. Starscream flew to his feet, patience finally running out. "Then DIE!!!" he fired both armcannons at the jet. A low rumbling awakened Thundercracker and Skywarp, and they realised their 'cave' was about to collapse.
"Let's go!" Starscream barked. All three flew out of the cave and into the air. Behind them, the landscape shifted, and the dark spot where the cavern had been dissapeared under the collapsing landscape.

FYI: no, Jade's not dead. The 'Bots actually dug her out of this one. The cave was under about 27 feet of dirt (not rock), so it didn't do that much harm. She's lucky it was on that part of the coastline. It could have been 50 feet of rock if it were another spot I write about.
The reason this got written was that I was working on another fanfic which makes reference to Jade having a sort of “tense relationship” with the Deceptiseekers. In other words, they’re opposing factions, they don’t like Jade. She’s fascinated by them, though, and feel like they have something in common. On occasion, they ‘get together’. My original reasoning was for what the Decepticon Trine would call ‘variety’. Jade calls it “Stay out of Autobot territory and you get rewarded. Enter it and get shot down.” (Prowl had actually lectured her angrily after the first time, which was this one, about trying to fight off the seeker trine alone. So after this, it’s the entire Ark shows up. But Jade, fascinated by the trine’s relationships (and the intricacy and nature of thought-sharing and all that) wants to know more. So it kinda goes on.
