The massive bridge doors of the separatist battleship parted with a hydraulic hiss followed by the sound of the ships commanders heavy footsteps clanking against the deck plating. In times of peace the sound of the commanders feet would be the softer padding sound of a Neimoidian, an organic being. Since, however this was wartime the more discretion minded Neimoidians (which would be most all of them) tended to be scarce aboard ships that could go into battle at any time. As a result, the command of the imposing battleship along with the metallic sound of the feet on the deck plates belonged to one of the Trade Federations legions of combat droids. In this instance a tactical droid designated TY-117.
TY-117's boxy simple shape was not all that differentiated him from the far more common battle droid crewmen assigned to the ship. His CPU was designed to be more mentally agile than the other droids as well. He was fiercely loyal to his creators, largely because he was programmed that way and so was content to take on the responsibilities his creators gave to him. Right now his duty involved answering a communique that his communications officer informed him was directed at the ships commander.
Since the mission he was on was secret and assigned by Count Dooku himself, TY-117 tasked a processor to anticipating who it was that was trying to reach him by hyperspace. He immediately calculated that the greatest odds of an incoming communication were from the helpful traitor down on the planet Kadavos, known as 'Agruss'.
Oh, of course TY-117 wasn't supposed to call him that to his face. Count Dooku was quite clear about that when he dispatched the ship. TY-117 was supposed to be as encouraging and complimentary as he possibly could to the fat, decadent looking Zyggerian. In the back of what passed for his mind he tried to calculate why the organic called Agruss would have such a problem with what the droid considered to be an extraordinarily accurate characterization. In his opinion organics were too obsessed with the way they appeared to others.
No, the keepers feelings were to be spared, for as long as he assisted in the hunt for Queen Miraj. If at any point in the mission he stopped being helpful however, that was something completely different. Reviewing the orders that Count Dooku gave him, should that eventuality occur, TY-117 believed that unflattering terminology would be the least of the Keepers problems.
The battle droid stationed at the communications console was the first to speak to the battleships arriving Captain, in it's high pitched vocal simulator. “Sir, the incoming communication is ready. Uh, did you want that patched through to the main view screen?”
It was a good thing that TY-117 only possessed an immobile mouth-like protrusion on his face instead of the frequently mobile mouth of an organic being. Because if he possessed such a mouth it would have opened and let out a weary sigh (well, if he also possessed lungs). As it was it took effort not to slap his hand against his box-like upper head in simulated frustration.
No Ensign, not at all, what I would prefer is if you patched it through to randomly selected communication stations throughout the ship, for random periods of time. That way it could be a sort of a game as I ran around the ship trying to find out which terminal had the communication on it. I'm sure any agent we have on Kadavo wouldn't mind waiting.
It would not have been an emotional need to be sarcastic that would have motivated such a rant. As a T-series tactical droid he was above such petty motivations. He would have said it aloud to give the ensign an idea of how unnecessary his question was in the hopes that he would use his 'awarded to the lowest bidder' CPU more effectively next time. The main reason he didn't say it out loud though is because of the very real possibility that the Ensign would shake his goose beak of a head, say 'Rodger, Rodger' and actually do it.
No rather than risk it, TY-117 simply said in his synthesized monotone: “Yes Ensign, put it through right here.”
The large, circular view screen set onto the Bridges wall rippled like a pond following a stones fall into it. A face appeared on the screen as TY-117 congratulated himself for having anticipated the jowly countenance of Keeper Agruss. The male Zyggerians face showed evidence of significant stress. It wasn't just worry that covered the Keepers sweaty face. The right half had a faded dark smear on it. It would seem that the Counts spy on the processing hub was going through some serious discomfort while acting on the separatists behalf. Not that TY-117 cared at all.
However, since the Zyggerian was actually here before him he had to pretend like he did. “Keeper Agruss, I hope that you are feeling well. I assume you are risking contact with us once again so as to finalize details of our takeover?”
The pause from the other end of the transmission was pronounced. The Keeper seemed fairly abashed. “Well, er, no... You see, Commander there’s been a problem with security here on the station.”
When the Keepers end of the conversation paused, TY-117 prompted him to continue. “What kind of security problem?”
“Well Commander, it seems that my communications with Count Dooku have been uncovered. There has been some unrest here on the hub; truly minor unrest I might add. Though, I regret to inform you that the Queen and those jedi criminals have escaped. I drove them out of the command center here. I believe I manged to take one out so that is at least some good news, right?”
Even with his Computer brain TY-117 took a second to take in everything that the Keeper had said. “Keeper, are you telling me that the Queen not only has evaded custody again, she also knows that we are on our way?” The droids was thankful that it's voice was a near perfect monotone. If it wasn't, TY-117 was sure that his inflections would have given Agruss the impression TY thought he was a complete imbecile. He did think that, but that was beside the point.
“Yes, but it's alright. I have powered down the hubs fighters and disabled her royal yacht, she is going nowhere. I still have control of the command center. I merely await the arrival of your crack forces so that we can put down this disturbance together.” TY noticed the rather hopeful tone in the Keepers suggestion. The Zyggerian was all but begging the droid to come to his rescue.
None of this was what TY-117 had expected. It would seem that the stealth infiltration he had been simulating with several droid platoons down in the hangar was now only so much wishful thinking. He had to come up with a plan quickly so that he could coordinate with the Keeper. It took him upward of.001 seconds to come up with plan B.
“Keeper, you understand that our plans must now change? I must now prepare for an opposed landing upon your processing hub. The circumstances around you will become far more dangerous as a result.” TY-117 also had to revise upward his estimate of how many of the droids under his command would be junked while going up against jedi, Zyggerian military and the maker knows what. The fact that he would be turning in higher damage bills to his owners bothered him far more than the Keepers life being in danger.
“Dangerous?” The Keepers eyebrows showed a notable increase in interest. “How much more dangerous?”
His hoped for stealth infiltration may have been gone but at least TY-117 could get some amusement from making this mewling failure squirm. “My landing craft are capable of sending down several hundred droid soldiers. The assault will take at least that many to overcome jedi resistance. After they have landed they will have to take the facility section by section. I can assume there will be a great deal of damage. I hope Keeper, for your sake, that you have a place to take cover in.”
The look on the Keepers face was surprisingly calm considering that he had just learned that the place where he was would become a battlefield in just over two hours. TY-117 was rather sure that composure wouldn't last. Just as he was motioning to the communications officer to cut the transmission the Keeper piped up.
“Wait, Commander, I think I may have a more useful strategy! If you are willing to hear me out.”
His curiosity subroutines motivated him to stop as TY-117 turned back to the view screen. He found it hard to believe that Agruss had any useful advice. Still, how could it hurt to hear him out? He could at least dress the Zyggerian down if it turned out to be an especially stupid plan. “Go on, Keeper.”
“Instead of several landing craft, why not bring the battleship itself down to the hub?”
After several quick calculations TY-117 answered in his calm monotone. “I can see no advantages to such a strategy Keeper. Also, I can see a fairly large flaw in your plan. From what I can ascertain from your report, there is a highly fluid situation on the hub. Zyggerians loyal to you may or may not be in control of the hubs defenses when we arrive. Assuming they are not and should my ship appear within proximity, it could be heavily damaged by any weapons seized by the jedi. While that may also be true with regards to any landing craft that I may send into the attack, the loss of such craft would be less of a setback than any damage done to this battleship. Any repair time this ship would spend in dry dock following a direct assault on the hub could affect the wider war with the republic.” Not to mention setting in motion what TY-117 calculated was an eighty-nine percent chance that he would have his memory erased.
The Keeper tapped his large feline ear with his forefinger, as if lost in thought. After some contemplation he returned to the conversation. “Allow me to enlighten you as to the advantages of such a move, my mechanical friend. The very presence of the ship itself, in the sky above the hub, may cause an immediate surrender on the part of these meddling jedi. It would at the very least deter any of the slaves working here at the hub from joining them. With one look at your ship they would abandon any plans at resistance. Not that Togrutans have wills of iron in the first place. He, if they did they wouldn't be slaves in the first place. Also, it is possible that the Queen has escaped from the hub itself and is now making her way across the surface of Kadavo. If my memory serves there is a full compliment of sensors aboard your class of battleship. If brought to within close proximity of the station they could search the surrounding area in case shes trying to escape that way. I mean, that’s your entire mission isn't it? Finding her?”
The tactical droid processed the Keepers reasoning through it's logic routines and found much to his surprise that the Keepers ideas were good.
So he ran them through again.
After confirming his own analysis a second time he responded to the Zyggerian in his cybernetic monotone. “Keeper, your analysis is reasonable and persuasive. Your logic is sound.” What he had just said was difficult to admit, but it was the truth. This Zyggerian was either a savant or some sort of military genius. “Keeper, do you have a military background?”
The Keeper stared into the screen for a moment as though drawing a blank. After a short but noticeable pause he chimed in. “Indeed, for many years I was in the er, military.” Then he grinned.
There was a short pause as TY-117 waited for him to elaborate. When he didn't TY continued on somewhat awkwardly. “That is...quite impressive Keeper. However, while your reasoning is sound the danger to my ship still remains. I would need more assurance of my ships safety if I am to approach that closely.”
The Keeper nodded while reaching in front of him for his consoles communication controls. “Give me a moment.” The screen went dead for a moment. When it came back a short while later the Keeper was carrying a smile. “Commander, I believe that I can arrange for your ships arrival to be completely free of danger.”
“Exactly how would you arrange this Keeper?”
“I have the emergency override codes for the hubs defenses. I can share them with you. If the hubs cannons fall into the hands of the jedi, either you or I could override their function remotely and shut them down.”
That revelation forced TY-117 to reconsider. “Very well Keeper, transmit the override codes and the attack shall proceed as you suggest.”
After a few seconds the Ensign in charge of communications told his ships commander that he had received a alphanumeric code from the Keeper.
“Your message has been received Keeper. We appreciate your efforts on our behalf. With this information you have heavily increased the chances that we can bring this conflict to a conclusion quickly and cleanly with minimal risk to you. Hold your position. We will arrive in your system in two hours and five minutes.”
With a nod from the keeper the transmission ended. The bridges circular communication screen rippling back to inactivity.
For the next two hours Commander TY-117 prepared his ship for the new plan of attack. Updated plans included contingency’s for suppressing the hubs cannons and destroying the hubs command center. In spite of what he had said to the Keeper, TY-117 would give the order to destroy whatever part of the hub the Keeper was located at in a microsecond, if it would forward his mission.
After two hours the massive bulk that was the separatist battleship decelerated from hyperspace around the planet Kadavo. Soon the warship was dropping through the atmosphere, closing in on the processing hub.
Approaching the hub at only a thousand feet over the surface TY-117 saw though the bridge window smoke rising from his destination. The hub itself, jutted quite obviously from the crater that it sat upon. TY-117 ordered his helm officer to reduce speed while increasing altitude slightly so that he could get a better look. As his ship crested the lip of the crater, TY-117 took in a scene of absolute chaos.
The hub was connected to the rim of the crater it inhabited by what seemed like four wide spars that spread out from the hub itself, like spokes on a wheel. It would be more accurate to say that it was connected by them. Two of the spokes were engulfed in flame and had sustained so much damage they were actually broken off from the craters inner walls.
Before TY-117 could wonder what the source of the damage to the hub was it became obvious. He could see the laser cannons atop the central structures of the hub. The barrels of their guns, normally meant to fire at attacking aircraft were depressed downward as far as they could go and were engaged in firing blast after blast at the hub itself. Watching intently TY-117 saw another one of the hubs supports struts rip apart in a hail of blaster fire.
The planetary surface surrounding the hub was dotted with tiny figures running away from the hub. Most likely they were slaves who were taking the opportunity to make a run for it. There was probably nowhere to go, but hope was still hope.
It would seem as though the Keeper was turning his own station into a wreck in order to save himself. Worse yet, with all the damage that he had inflicted with his heavy weaponry the Queens body could be buried under thousands of tons of hub superstructure or worse, her body could be completely obliterated, making the task of confirming her death virtually impossible. This had to stop.
“Communications, open a channel to the hubs command center.” When the droid working the communications equipment indicated to him that he was on TY-117 spoke. “Keeper Agruss, this is tactical droid TY-117. Cease firing your facilities weapons and stand by to report on your situation.”
The droid waited for the Keeper to respond but the sole response to his query came in the form of continued barking of the hubs cannons. As before pointed downwards towards whoever had made Keeper Agruss mad. After two more hails, and a short wait TY-117 decided to change his strategy.
He decided that the Keeper needed help remembering whose calls he needed to take. He leaned towards his computer panel and punched in the code the Keeper gave him. After accessing the hubs weapon control system he gave the command override that would power them down.
After receiving confirmation that his command was accepted, TY-117 walked to the nearest window and checked the result. Outside, hundreds of feet away, he saw the hubs cannons cease their fire, then slowly begin to droop. Since they were depressed downwards so as to provide direct fire onto the station, they didn't have far to drop. Afterward, they seemed still.
It would seem that the Keepers codes had worked. Now the Keeper would have to contact TY-117 if he planned to protect himself with the hubs cannons. That was assuming of course he was still in control. His strategy subroutines reminded him of the possibility that the Keeper might not be in control of the hub. In which case the silence he was receiving was part of a deliberate trick by jedi who wanted to lure him in after seizing control of the hub, since he had last talked to Agruss. There were precautions he could take against such a possibility.
He turned to one of the many battle droids manning stations on the bridge of the battleship. “Lieutenant, target the weapons emplacements on that facility. I want to be able to take them out quickly, should they become a threat.” He didn't wait for the droids 'Rodger, Rodger' acknowledgment before turning to another battle droid at another bridge location.
“Ensign, I want a full scan of the hubs weapons. I want to be absolutely sure that they are not only off but powered down as well.” That droid too signified his understanding of the orders and started pushing buttons on the computer console in front of him.
“Scanning...” The droid announced to his commander. The screen in front of him lit up enough to throw bright colored lights upon the droids face. The results started coming in.
If this whole situation was a trap it wouldn't last very long TY-117 smugly thought to himself as he ordered his ship to settle in over the hub. Most likely the hubs guns were under his control. If his sensors detected a trap however he could just simply annihilate the hubs cannons with his warships vastly superior firepower. At this range not even his droid gunners could miss fixed emplacements.
Put simply, if there was a conflict of any kind between his battleship and the hub TY-117 was sure it was already over.
TWO HOURS AND TEN MINUTES EARLIER...
Shaking his head Keeper Agruss had no idea why all of a sudden he was dazed. Not just dazed, as his senses came back to him he saw smoke lazily emanating from just underneath his right armrest. Where once there used to be a concealed blaster there was now only a smoking hole.
His entire back was awash in pain. He now realized that his hover chair had been slammed back against the wall. It's repulsor engine knocked offline, at least for the moment. The bottom of the chair was now on the ground. It looked from all the evidence he could quickly acquire that his hover chair had sustained a blaster bolt. That was understandable, he had just taken a shot at that filthy male jedi. He could understand one of his traitorous guards firing back in reply. He just didn't expect any return fire to come so quickly and be so incredibly accurate.
In fact, it seemed as though his shot at the jedi and the return fire had come almost simultaneously. It didn't seem that the shot had come from the guards just off to his right. He saw that they were tackling the Queen, to protect her from any fire.
Since he couldn't seem to find the source of immediate danger he looked slightly more to his left towards the jedi he had fired upon. If he was to be set upon by his enemies in the next few seconds, he could at the very least see what effect his attack had on that jedi skug.
Expecting to see the body of a male human slumping to the floor with a nice clean blaster bolt to the chest the Keeper was shocked to see the man not only standing fully upright but also seemingly in perfect health. Looking down at the humans chest he saw not only the reason the jedi lived but simultaneously the Keeper saw how he was able to receive return fire so quickly. His face took on a mien of frustration and rage as what he saw sunk in.
A glowing green lightsaber blade was held horizontally across Anakin Skywalkers chest. Not by the man himself he noticed. The males jedis hands were by his sides. The hand that held the lightsaber. The lightsaber that had not only stopped the shot but had returned the Keepers shot instantly to it's issuer. That lightsaber was being held by the slight, feminine, orange hand of the jedi girl. She had managed to reach just far enough to draw and interpose her blade between her Master and the Keepers shot at the very last second.
“Hmm, nice catch there snips.” The look on her masters face was as blase as possible.
Ahsoka rolled her eyes. Master Skywalker always had problems giving compliments, though she was used to that by now.
Taking a tremendous leap across the room, Ahsoka landed directly in front of the Keepers chair. Her lightsaber swept downward in an arc, wrecking what little was left of the Keepers chair mounted blaster. It seemed disabled, however it was always best to be safe. The Keeper himself let out a small yelp, as the lightsaber swept through an area mere inches from his hand. When he saw that it was just the chair Ahsoka was aiming for he visibly relaxed. However if he thought the worst was over he was mistaken.
Again, Ahsoka brought up her blade above her head, her second hand joined her first in grasping the weapons handle. This time however, it wasn't being readied to strike machinery. Aiming the blade straight at the lowlife slavers ribcage she drew back...
“Ahsoka!”
With her weapon still held high over her head, Ahsoka looked back at her superior.
“We need him.”
“What? Why!?! Master this...thing tried to kill you! Best to finish this monster.”
“I agree!” Ahsoka saw that the concurrence had been issued by the Queen from under an undignified pile of soldiers that had leapt upon the sovereign to protect her.
“Ahsoka, I told you I have...”
“I know, I know, a plan. Master, what could you possibly need this bug for?” Ahsoka punctuated her question by stamping her foot on the former Keepers chest. He emitted a pained cough in response.
Instead of answering his student Anakin Skywalker strode over to the computer console used by the Captain of the guard. After requesting permission from him (a request that was immediately relayed up to the Queen who nodded her ascent) Skywalker called up some information on the computer. After a few minutes he gave out a short pleased smile.
Coming back from behind the computer console Skywalker approached his now helpless captive. “Well, Keeper it would seem that you are in quite a great deal of trouble. Wouldn't you say?” The silence the Keeper returned along with a felinoid snarl told Anakin that the Keeper understood the gravity of his situation. “You probably think you're doomed and while it's true everyone in this room wants you dead, including me. I'm nevertheless prepared to offer you a deal for your life.”
The angry glare of the Keeper slowly transformed into a look of befuddlement. “What? There is no chance for me now jedi. I know the Queen will see me doomed.”
“You aren't in the Queens custody, you're in mine.” With a hand gesture he motioned towards Ahsoka, who was still standing above him lightsaber at the ready. “Well, at least for now. Whether you stay that way is up to you. You can either do everything I tell you to do from here on out and I promise a long life in a Republic prison cell. Or, I can return you to her majesties custody.”
The Queen had managed to regain her composure, and her feet. She approached the three individuals and gave the Keeper a predatory smile.
The Keepers mouth went dry, as fear take hold of him. “What is it you expect me to do?”
“Thats the easy part Keeper.” Anakin took a communicator from a nearby shelf and placed the small earpiece within the Keepers large ear. “All you need to do is call up the separatist ship that was assigned to you and tell them what I want you to say.” Lifting the now broken hover chair up using the force General Skywalker moved the Keeper over to the nearest communications console capable of visual communication and sat him down in front of it.
After he did a short test of the earpiece Agruss had buried in his large, hairy ear Anakin told him over the same earpiece to begin. The Keeper nervously wiped his cheek, only to leave behind a dark smear, most likely soot from the ruined arm of his hover chair. He hesitated for a moment until he looked over the console in front of him. The orange jedi girl had rested her arms on top of the screen he was facing. Her deactivated lightsaber was in her hand; almost absently tapping the top of his screen. Her half-lidded eyes bore straight into his own with surprising intensity. It was as though she was inviting him to back out of the deal he had just made. If he did it was quite clear from her demeanor what would happen to him.
The screen came to life and presented what seemed to be one of the separatists more advanced battle droids was staring back at him. Behind him seemed to be the layout of one of the separatist causes larger more powerful battleships.
The Droid spoke to the Keeper, in that dull monotone that always threatened to put Ahsoka to sleep, on those occasions when the particular class of droid wasn't trying to kill her. “Keeper Agruss, I hope that you are feeling well. I assume you are risking contact with us once again so as to finalize details of our takeover?”
From across the room Ahsoka could hear Anakin speaking through his small communicator at Agruss. “Tell, him theres been a security problem. Also tell him everything else I tell you to say Agruss. That is, if you want to live.”
Grimly the Keeper continued on. “Well, er, no... You see Commander there’s been a problem with security here on the station...”
As soon as the connection with TY-117 was terminated Anakin returned to the Keepers side. “What was that? 'Indeed I was in the military for many years.' I told you to give him a detailed background.”
“Listen, jedi I was doing the best I could...”
“Forget it, forget it, I think we fooled him.” Anakin had pinched the bridge of his nose between thumb and forefinger and was slowly massaging. It seemed to Ahsoka that he may have been I considering his next move as well.
After a few seconds of gathering himself he turned to the Zyggerian Captain of the guard. “Captain, I'm assuming that this facility has a sort of engineer? A head technician? Something?” The Captain nodded. “Alright could you get him for me, please?”
The Queen who had been fuming nearby had finally given up trying to maintain her composure. “Now just one second jedi! You have everything that involves me and MY facility moving towards your so-called 'plan' terribly quickly. I demand to know what it is you're doing!”
From behind, Ahsoka placed her hand gently on the sovereigns shoulder. “Your majesty, I'm sure that Master Skywalker knows what he's doing. You must realize we are all in this together.” The Queen glanced at the hand that had appeared on her shoulder and then slowly turned her head to look back at it's owner. The raised right eyebrow arching up in Ahsoka's direction carried meaning but it took Ahsoka a couple of seconds to realize the message the Queen was trying to get across. Really my pet? You wish to demonstrate physical familiarity with me? In front of all your superiors and half the Zyggerian empire? Abashedly Ahsoka slowly removed her hand from the Queen, mouthing the word 'whoops' so that the Queen could see it.
Fortunately for them both, no one seemed to notice the significance of what Ahsoka had just done. Anakin was concentrating more on the Queens objections. “Your majesty, what I have in mind is a reception for our separatist friends, who are on there way and should be here in just over two hours. I'm going to need all of the resources that this facility has to offer. I'm going to need the help of everyone here, including you. I think, I may have a way to escape, but I need your cooperation. Please keep in mind that every minute I need to explain it to you cuts into the time, what little time, we have left. Now, do I have your cooperation? Or do you have a plan, other than sitting here and waiting to be caught?”
The Queen didn't deign to answer the question. She just fixed the jedi with a cold glare for a few seconds.
When it didn't seem that an alternate idea was coming Skywalker continued. “Alright, the first thing we need to do is prepare an evacuation. Ahsoka you need to go down to ore processing and free your people.”
Ahsoka broke out in a wide smile. The Queen simply folder her arms over her chest in resignation. What did the slaves matter when the entire facility faced assault?
“You're going to have to take them away from the hub. The surface of Kadavo is inhospitable. It's hot and dusty to the point where it's difficult to breathe. However the Togrutans should be fine until the fleet arrives. Tell them to spread out and start to run as fast as they can when the Battleship arrives.”
“Get them to run, when a huge battleship shows up.” Ahsoka smirked in a way she rarely did when her superior gave orders to her. “I don't think that should be too difficult Master. Master, there isn't any cover on the surface. Won't they be exposed to the Battleship's weapons?”
“Only for a very brief time Ahsoka. If everything goes according to plan the droid ship won't be concentrating on them. Just make sure that they're as far away as you can get them. Once they're off the station and know what to do, rendezvous back at the Queen's yacht. Make sure you get back before the droid ship arrives.”
Before Ahsoka could leave, a slight motion of the Queen's head caught Ahsoka's attention. Taking the girl off to a corner of the command center, the Queen checked to make sure Anakin was distracted before whispering into Ahsoka's ear. “Before setting off on your great journey of emancipation my dear you may wish to retrieve your underwear from the Keepers office.” Ahsoka's face dropped as she realized what it was she had nearly forgotten. “Or alternatively, you may wish to strip down completely and give your people their freedom during a fiery inspirational speech that you give while completely naked. I will leave the choice to you...though, I know which idea I prefer.” With a shake of her head Ahsoka broke away from the Queen.
After a quick stop in the Keepers office to retrieve her unmentionables, Ahsoka made for the exit to the command center. Master Skywalker was already on one knee giving instructions to Artoo. He was mentioning something about rerouting control, but Ahsoka had no time to listen in. As she was exiting through the command centers blast doors she nearly ran into a Zyggerian man with tools dangling from his belt, who was coming in just as she was leaving. The man gave Ahsoka a curious look before continuing on. As Ahsoka passed through the sliding doors she heard footsteps from behind her.
The doors which had been about to close behind her, stayed open for the passage of one more figure before closing out the command center. The Queen approached to within a pace of Ahsoka. Turning to the Queen, Ahsoka looked up into the older woman’s large, felinoid eyes questioningly.
“Before you left, I wanted to give you one last set of instructions.” The Queen cupped the face of the young jedi with both of her hands before leaning down and kissing the beautiful orange face beneath her square on the lips. The lip lock lasted an extended period before the Queen broke contact and rested her forehead upon the Jedi’s. “You are to come to no harm. This is a royal decree, so it cannot be disobeyed under any circumstances.”
Ahsoka let out a smile. Picking up the Queens hand she placed a kiss upon it. She held onto it for as long as she could before letting go and dashing down the hallway towards the slave pens.
