(-----) A few days passed and Peak wasn't certain what to think anymore. Dread Wing still treated him well, though sometimes it was clearly just as awkward for the mutant as it was for the human. For his own part though, Peak tried to stay in his little room as much as possible. The photos in that magazine still had him unnerved and there were...weird thoughts in his head too. Like, would it really feel that good to...to...well, to take it up the tail hole? Growling to himself, Peak shook his head to get rid of those thoughts and his slight shame at his own hesitance. Besides, tail hole? Really? What, had he regressed to being a little kid or something? Letting out a sudden breath, he returned to his self-imposed exercise routine. He was half-way done with his set of forty pushups, then he needed to do forty situps. He also needed to find something that he could use for weights soon, so that he could do proper arm and leg exercises. Peak had thought about asking Dread for something to use as weights, but he doubted the mutant would give him anything that could double as a weapon. At least he could keep in shape with the exercises that he could do. It was very odd to have so much free time on his hands, even though Peak would admit (to himself at least) that he used to long for it. At first, it'd been nice. There were no reports to do, no schoolwork that needed completion, no one to boss him around (except for Dread, but that was a given) and Peak could keep to his own schedule as he pleased. But...lately, it was getting....he wasn't certain what word he was looking for, though depressing came to mind. Except for Dread Wing, there was no one for Peak to talk to and the mutant King had made it clear that Peak wasn't to leave the main bedroom. Besides the mutant tailor and his dark draman assistant on the first day, the teen hadn't seen anyone else other than Dread. Peak had found himself missing his few friends back home very quickly. It was just as bad that he couldn't be with his dragon, Wing Storm, and a little frightening that he couldn't feel their bond anymore either. But that made sense too, when he calmed down to think about it. If their bond was active, then Storm could lead the others straight to where Peak was, though as to how Dread was blocking that bond, Peak couldn't even begin to guess at that. Thinking of the others brought a pang to his chest. The young blond hadn't thought that he'd miss his family as much as he currently was. As much as they got on his nerves (and vice versa), they were still his family and this was the first time he'd ever been away from them for so long. Sure, he'd spent a night or two away (either on Old Earth in captivity or at a friend's back on Airlandis), but this was the first time he's spent almost a week away. That was if his mental calender was still right. It was hard keeping track of days without the help of clocks or even the sun. Dread Wing was no help there either but to be honest, Peak hadn't asked him about the time or...well, anything really. The red mutant would come in, sometimes with food for Peak, and occasionally try to talk with him. For the most part though, he would stay out of Peak's little room, unless there was a reason for him to enter. It was clear that this was new ground for the mutant as well, but Peak wasn't certain what to think of that. Finally finishing his push-ups, the teen took a quick break to catch his breath. Standing up, he went to his room's little table to pour himself a cup of water from the new jug there. The bowl held some fruit that was alright for him to eat, but Peak wasn't hungry at the moment. The teen was a little conflicted towards the water. On the one hand, Dread had assured him it was alright to drink and besides, Peak's only alternative was to constantly get water from the sink in the bathroom. Also, Dread had said that Gangryn had worked hard on a filtration system to make sure the water was alright for human consumption. But the suspicion that had been drilled into him for years was still worried that the water might have been tampered with. Still irritated with himself, Peak told that little voice in his head that if Dread had wanted to do something, he'd have done it already and took a swig of the water. The liquid had a bit of an earthy taste but there wasn't anything else wrong with it. Putting his cup down, Peak sighed and returned to the spot on the floor where he'd been working out. Laying down, he got into position and began his situps, keeping a mental count in his head. He barely noticed the collar anymore, though that could have been aided by the new clothes. The clothes were made from some stiff fabric that Peak didn't recognize and had a tendency to itch in random places. The teen hadn't said anything to Dread Wing yet though, figuring that any clothes were better than none. Blushing at the image that train of thought brought up, Peak shoved it fiercely from his head and decided to distract himself with some stretching exercises after he finished with his sit ups. It would be better than just sleeping again, which he was tempted to do more and more lately. He just had to stay active, that was all! Even if he was quickly running out of things to do...While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
