Disclaimer: I do not own Gargoyles/Disney related but the original character, Eve Anderson, is from my own mind and is not a character of Disney. I get no pay and am only doing this for fun |
Puck glances at the clock a second time as Eve sleeps peacefully against his chest. Even after the Gargoyles had left, they had stayed on the couch talking until Eve fell fast asleep against him. He strokes her hair from her face, reaching out a hand for his phone. He glances at the clock again as it appears in his hand, judging by the time where David would be. He sighs, punching in the number and waiting for him to pick up.
Yes? David’s voice finally comes over the line. “I need you to tell Fox Eve will not be in on time.” Puck softly says into the phone to keep from waking her. What did you do this time, Puck? David sounds irritated. “Nothing. She is exhausted after spending several hours teaching your son to ground himself better and then half the night making invisibility bracelets for the gargoyles after a 2 hour talk with them about not being seen.” He glances down at her and gently strokes her back. “She is only human and cannot do magic without having consequences.” I see. David sighs into the phone, tapping of a keyboard in the background. Have her in by noon when you come in and don’t be late. “Of course.” He hangs up the phone and lays it down on the table next to him. Eve’s head jerks up, daylight streaming into the window and waking her. She glances at the clock and nearly falls off the couch. “Shit! I’m late!” Puck tightens his arm around her waist, keeping her from getting up. “No you are not. I took care of that hours ago. You are expected in at noon now.” “What the fuck?!” She growls out, pushing away from him. “You waited til 9am and me panicking to let me know this?” He opens one eye, sliding one leg over hers to keep her on the couch. “You needed the rest so I let you have it.” She glares down at his leg, knowing he won’t let her move anytime soon. “Well I can’t rest now that the adrenaline is running through me.” He reaches out, pulling her back into his arms. “Then I will hold you here until it’s gone.” He sees the bite marks peeking out from her robe and sighs. “It seems I played a bit too rough again. You should keep me from that.” She snorts, glaring up at him although her body starts to relax against him. “I asked for it, if you remember, or are you starting to have memory loss?” “You can put away the death stare since it has no effect on me.” His lips curve up as he strokes her back soothingly. “As for last night, I do remember you asking but I should know better.” His hand slides up her arm, brushing over one of the marks. Eve winces in pain and he growls low. “You should have let me know I hurt you.” “It didn’t hurt til now.” She leans up on her elbows, pouting her lower lip at him. “Does that mean no more before work?” He finds he can’t stay made at her when she pouts. He brushes his thumb over her lower lip, pushing it back into its normal spot. “I can’t promise not to hurt you more since I tend to get overzealous when I’m not Owen.” “Well you are not changing back to Owen until it’s time for you to leave.” She frowns and glances at the clock again. “Which brings me to the question of why you’re not at work already?” “I was told to come in at noon yesterday before I left the meeting.” Puck traces his thumb over her cheek. She pushes his hand away, sitting up again. “There’s only one reason he lets you come in at noon. you’re leaving on a trip. When were you going to tell me?” “Last night when I came in but things got a bit out of hand.” He sits up and leans against her shoulder, breathing in her scent. “We have to go to Tokyo for a week to take care of some minor brush fires.” “Brush fires!” She snorts in derision. “You mean someone made some major screw ups and now you need to go in and reorganize your management.” “Exactly.” He kisses her neck softly, his arms pulling her closer to him. “I can promise I will suffer without you there.” She smiles, knowing he’s not kidding because he hates Tokyo. “I’m sure you will. So how are you going to make it up to me?” “Like this.” He leans in, brushing his lips against hers and sending magic coursing through her body. She gasps in shock as he runs his hands down her arms, sending more magic through her. “And this.” With each touch he sends more magic through her and hers responds in kind. He leans her back on the couch, kissing and touching her gently. Her eyes flutter closed, moaning softly as their magic plays long their bodies. She becomes oblivious to time as a part of her she didn’t know she had takes over and dances to the tune Puck has begun playing with her body. Hours later he finally kisses her one last time, smiling down at her as she takes a ragged breath. “That is another way us Fae make love that you humans don’t know about.” She blinks up at him, still reeling from pleasure. “Um, wow. I didn’t know it could be like that.” “It’s usually only done with a bond mate because we exchange magic that way.” He sits up, pulling her with him. “Now our bond is stronger and we will recognize each other’s magic no matter how minuet it is.” Eve’s body feels as if it is humming with energy. She blinks a few times more, noticing the time. “I thought we were doing that before now.” He glances at the clock as well, grimacing when it shows 11am. “Don’t worry. I will takes us to the solarium before I change back. You will not be late.” He pulls her to her feet and kisses her again. “You were blasting uncontrolled magic at me before and I was drinking it in.” “Oh.” She frowns and heads for the bedroom. “Sorry.” He chuckles as he tosses the robe onto a chair and picks up his clothes. “You have no need to be. You are still learning. It takes time.” “I know but I feel like I should know all this stuff already!” She growls in frustration as she pulls a skirt out of her closet. “You do in theory, not practice.” He walks over and hugs her from behind. “Patience, My Queen.” “I know you’re right I just wish it wasn’t so.” She sags against him for a moment. “Xander threw me a few curveballs last night and I realized how little I know compared to him.” “The pup has had more years of practical experience than you.” Puck pats her ass and turns away. “Make him show you what he knows. It’ll be good for him.”Allanna looks up as Eve walks towards her desk. “Well, hello Eve. You look well rested” she gives Eve a closer inspection and smiles “and very satisfied today.”
“I don’t know about rested.” Eve grins back. “But I am very satisfied.” “Gave him something to think about while he’s away, huh?” Allanna laughs as Eve blushes. “Good for you. Maybe he’ll be able to tolerate the women they throw at him in Tokyo since he has something to look forward to.” Eve stops just outside her office door. “Come again?” She frowns down at Allanna and waves towards the door. “Maybe you need to come inside and enlighten me.” Allanna glances around to make sure no one is watching before getting up and following Eve into the office. She waits until the door is closed behind them before speaking. “You mean you don’t know why he hates Tokyo so much?” “No.” Eve sits down at her desk and waves Allanna to a chair. “But from the sound of it, maybe I should. So confuse what you know.” Allanna settles into a chair and sighs. “I found out 4 year ago when I was working on his side of the building. I asked when I couldn’t figure out why he would always come back from there in an extremely foul mood. One of his assistants had to go with them once and she said every night a new prostitute would be in his room waiting for him after they were given lavish dinner parties. The guys there seem to think that sex and parties are the way to curry favor. Every night Owen would push the poor half naked woman out the door and lock it behind her.” “Ouch!” Eve grimaces in sympathy. “Why do they think it will work if he keeps refusing every time?” “Cultural differences I guess.” Allanna grins. “I’m waiting for half naked men to be in his room soon.” “That won’t go over well.” Eve smirks and shakes her head. “At least I now have a heads up so if he calls and gets all cranky on me I’ll know why.” “Not worried he’ll cave in?” Allanna stands, chuckling at Eve. “Hell no.” Eve pulls her computer screen up. “If he didn’t then, he really won’t now if he wants to keep his balls attached.” “So true.” Allanna opens the door. “Don’t forget the press conference at 1pm and there’s a 3pm meeting with a caterer Mrs. Xanatos wants you to help her with.” “Got it.” Eve smiles at her. “Thanks, Allanna.” “Anytime.” She smiles back at Eve and closes the door behind her. Fox smiles at Eve as she settles down on the couch next to her. “Ready for this?” “Absolutely not.” She grins and picks up one of the menu books. “That’s why you are planning the whole thing.” “Not everything.” Fox winks. “I overheard David bitching about being told he has to wear a kilt.” Eve nearly chokes. “What? Kilts?” “If we go back to where Owen came from, it would now be considered Scotland.” Fox points out a menu on the 4th page. “This one would be good. I would cater to everyone’s palate.” Eve frowns, looking at the price list as well as the menu. “Too expensive.” “I thought you’d say that.” Fox takes the menu away from her. “This is my present to you. I don’t care how much it costs. You will have to only pick what to eat and the flavor of the cake.” “The cake too?” Eve leans back and rolls her eyes. “Ok! Ok! I give! Just ask Owen the flavor because I really don’t care so long as it’s not dark chocolate.” “Why not? Most people like dark chocolate.” Fox flips through the book and picks another menu for her to look at. “Yuck. Tastes too bitter.” Eve glances over the book at points out two more. “Ok, then.” Fox makes a notation. “No dark chocolate. The caterer should be here in a few minutes and I’ll make sure she has that written down.” “And make sure if there is steak, not all of them are rare. I don’t like my meat mooing.” Eve begins making a list of menus she likes. Fox smiles and writes that down as well. “I’m sure there are others who feel the same. I’ll make sure the chef is flexible.” “Good.” Eve looks up from the book. “So what else?” Fox’s smile widens. “Thought you’d never ask.” Eve rolls her eyes and groans. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
