Well, here they are standing in silence. All Fred and Madison could do was stare at the elderly couple; concern written on their face. Fred held Madison tightly as he started to sweat. “A-auntie! It’s not what it looks like. I-I was just…” Stuttered Fred. Madison looks up at him, seeing him struggling to find an excuse. “Mrs. Bagge, I can explain. I-I tripped, and F-Fred was just helping me. That’s all.” Madison says using her innocent façade, to persuade the woman. Mollie just stood there, smirking at her sister. “So, I was right, they were hiding it.” She thought. Mollie snickers at their attempt to defuse the situation and turns to the Bagge couple. “Or maybe, Mrs. and Mr. Bagge. It seems like your nephew fell in love with my sister.” She says dramatically. Fred felt Madison shift in his grasp; aware that she was very close to attacking her sister, he tightens his grip, holding her back.
After hearing the comment from Mollie, Muriel covered her mouth in shock as Courage pulled his ears down, not wanting to hear what she just said. Eustace just stood there in disgust, wondering how anyone would like the ‘weirdo’. “Fred, is that true?” Muriel asks as she walks up to them. Fred and Madison just gave small glances at each other and gazed down at the floor, blushing. Madison remained silent, wondering if this would get her fired. The thought of not seeing Fred again made her quite anxious. She was snapped out of her thoughts however when she felt Fred rest his head on top of hers, hearing him chuckle softly. “Yes, Aunt Muriel. What Mollie said was accurate. I absolutely adore her that I seem to have fallen for my dear Madison.”
Madison froze for a moment, her shock slowly turning into a soft smile. She turns around to wrap her arms around his neck pulling him closer, giggling as she nuzzled into his neck. Mollie looked at the scene noting how happy Madison was and seeing Fred care so much about her. She looks away, guilt apparent on her face. Muriel smiles at them as she grabs both of their hands. “My, how wonderful! Eustace, Fred dear is in love!” She announced, shocking both Fred and the twins. “W-wait. So, you’re not upset?” stuttered Fred. “Why no dear, why would I? You found yourself such a sweet lass.” Muriel replies, causing Madison and Fred to glance at each other before looking away, blushing. Eustace walks past them and into the living room, uninterested. “Eh, I just don’t care.” Fred chuckles nervously as Madison and Muriel just shook their heads. “Yeah, of course ya don’t, ya old bastard.” Madison thought with a smile. Muriel tugs on their hand, pulling them into the living room. “Come, come now, I want to hear all about it!” She says excitably.
As they sat in the living room, Fred made sure to sit in between the sisters, concern that there would be another spat between them. As Muriel asks them a billion questions most of them made the younger couple blush, trying to not give away too much. Fred would often time give out cheesy responses to the questions, making Maddie giggle and Mollie shake her head, amused by his answers.
However, the mood slowly shifted when Muriel asked them what happened earlier when she heard shouting. Fred slowly looks over at Mollie, annoyance clear on his face as Mollie looks away from his glare, shamelessly. Fred taps his finger on his leg, waiting for her response. After a few minutes of awkward silence, Mollie finally spoke up. “I-It was kind of my fault.” She says softly, making Muriel raise a brow. “I-I sort of kept f-flirting with Fred…e-even though he’s dating Maddie…” She continued. Both Muriel and even Courage frowned at her. “Now, young lady. That is completely unacceptable. How could you ruin such a lovely relationship?” Scolded Muriel. Mollie kept her head down as if she was a child being scolded by her parent. Muriel continued her scolding as she told her to apologize to the couple. Mollie shifted in her seat as she looks over at Madison and Fred. “I-I wasn’t thinking at all. I understand what I did was wrong now. I-I really am sorry for trying to break you two apart.” Fred raised an eyebrow as he looks at her cautiously, “What I don’t understand is why you felt the need to that.”
“She always does this…”
Fred turns to Madison in shock as she was glaring at Mollie. “Anytime I’m in a relationship she feels the need to ruin it. To be honest, Fred. You’re the only person that didn’t fall for it.” She continued. For once, Fred felt a tad irritated with Mollie; he looks back at her slowly glaring waiting for her reply. Mollie, now realizing her mistake looks away from Fred. “I-I just thought that maybe if I did it, Madison could see that they weren’t very faithful…”
Another awkward silence was had as Fred and Madison looked at her, their eyes widen. “Are you…insane?” Fred asked slowly. Mollie tried to stutter out a response, but Fred shock his head, interrupting her.
“Mollie Richards. I am almost certain there are better ways to protect your sister from getting hurt. That is frankly not one of them. Don’t you realized what you did made Madison exceptionally displeased with you? Do you truly want your own sister to be mad at you forever?”
Mollie looks over at Madison, now seeing how hurt she felt from her actions; Mollie’s eyes started to water as she shook her head. “N-No. I-I don’t want her to h-hate me. I was being s-stupid.” Sobbed Mollie, trying to keep her composer. “M-Maddie, please. I’m truly sorry. P-Please, I promise I’ll never to do it again.” She cried. Madison stared at her sister, surprise to see her sister crying. She looks over at Muriel, who nods; then over to Fred, who motions her to look at Mollie. Madison sighs. “Fine, just stop with all the crying.” Mollie looks at her sadly as her tears caused her mascara to run down her face. Fred moves over to let Madison sit next to her. Madison smiles gently as she cleans Mollie’s face with a tissue. “Just don’t do that again. I’m a grown woman for crying out loud. And don’t put Freddy in that uncomfortable spot again either, got it.” Mollie instantly hugs her sister, repeatedly thanking her as Fred just shook his head in amusement.
“M-Mollie…quit it, you’re… crushing me!”
After that debacle, Madison helped Muriel with the dishes as she talks to Fred and Mollie in the kitchen, asking how everything was in Las Vegas, where Mollie lives. As they were conversing, Fred notice the little quirks between the twins like how they would say things simultaneously or finish each other’s sentences. He found it rather cute and charming. As Muriel walks out of the kitchen, Fred looks at Mollie. “So, Mollie. You said you live in Las Vegas? What is it that you do?” She waved her hand, bashfully. “Oh, it’s nothing special. I’m an exotic dan-”
“She’s a stripper.” Madison interrupts causing Mollie to pout at her while Fred covered his face. “Why did I ask?” He thought, feeling slightly embarrassed. Mollie opens her mouth to say something, but Madison looks at her, smiling. “Don’t lie.” Shutting Mollie up.
Muriel comes back and hands Madison a shopping list. “Madison dear, can you please help gather a few items for me?” Muriel asks. Maddie smiles and nods, taking the list. Mollie asks if she could tag along since she rented a car during her trip, which Madison agrees. “Hey Freddy! Wanna to come along?” Maddie asks. Fred smiles. “Sure! I don’t see why not.” They got into Mollie’s car, and head off.
Once they made it in downtown Nowhere, the trio decided to split up to different isles in the store. As Fred was looking around in one of the isles, he saw someone in a different isle. He took a small glance and didn’t think much of it until his brain finally clicked, causing him to turn his head to the person again, his face went pale.
“Oh no, please not now!” He thought. There she was not noticing Fred’s small panic. His ex, Barbara.
Fred sneakily walks away before she notices and hid in another isle, tugging at the collar of his dress shirt, sweating. “I just know she is still mad about what I did. And on top of that, Madison is here! If she so much as sees her anywhere close to me, she’ll snap.” He remembered how Maddie was with Mollie earlier, so he could sense that this would be bad. “I-I have to find the girls! I have to get them out of here as fast as possible!” He quietly maneuvered his way around the store, trying to find the twins while avoiding Barbara. His face lightens in excitement once he saw Mollie in one of the isles. He quietly walks over to her and grabs her arm in a panic, startling her as she turns around, grabbing something under her dress. As she realized it was Fred, she calmly loosens her grip and glares at him. “Boy are you out your mind!” Fred backs away and quickly apologized. “I-I’m so sorry for startling you, Mollie. But you have to-” He stops for a moment to look at what she was holding, his eyes widen once he notices a switchblade in a pouch wrapped around Mollie’s thigh.
“W-Were you about to stab me?” He said quietly. “You fucking scared me!” Mollie replies. Fred shook his head trying to calm down. “Alright, Alright, my apologize. You have to help me get Madison out the store fast.” Mollie tilts her head confused. “Okay. First off, calm down. Second, what’s your malfunction?” She asks with annoyed. He quickly explains his story and predicament about Barbara to her; this left Mollie laughing. “So, let me get this straight, you have an obsession for shaving people bald, your ex happens to be one of the people you shaved, you just saw her and now you want to leave.” She asks smiling. “Yes. I’m glad you’re getting some enjoyment out of this. Now can you please help me?” He asks, frustrated.
Mollie pats his shoulder, giggling. “Would you chill out? We’re not going anywhere. She can’t do anything to ya unless she wants to be six feet under.” Fred looks at her surprised. “It’s not that. I just don’t want Madison to think differently of me.” He said sadly. Mollie notice but giggles. “Does Maddie know about your disorder?” Fred stares at her as he recalls Madison and his activity together before Mollie showed up. “Y-You’re right, she does know and…doesn’t exactly care.” He expresses, astounded that he forgot. Mollie smiles as she took Fred’s hand “Then, she won’t have a problem, but I’ll help ya find Maddie.” She says, dragging him away.
However, the moment they turn the corner they bump right into Barbara. “Ah, my ba-” Mollie interrupts herself as she looks at the woman in front of them. She felt Fred’s hand tightening, he was getting nervous. Barbara looks at them shocked at first, but as soon as she saw Fred, she scowls at him. Mollie took note of this. “Oh, so this is the one. Seems she caught a bit of an attitude.” Fred started to sweat as he took a glance at Mollie, seeing a small smirk on her face. “Oh, please Mollie, don’t.” He thought. Barbara crossed her arms, ignoring Mollie as she spoke. “Why are you out of the asylum you-” Mollie cuts her off. “Yo, bitch! Want to move the fuck out our way?” Fred’s jaw dropped as he looks at Mollie in shock, pulling his hand out of her grasp. Stunned from the vulgar remark, Barbara scoffed. “And why don’t you make me?”
Fred mentally slapped himself, regretting to ever tag along. “Oh. You don’t want me to do that goldilocks.” Mollie threatened, smirking evilly. “Why should I be scared of you?” Barbara giggles. “You’re the one hanging around a hair obsessed freak.” Fred sadly looks away from her. “I mean the guy was doing you a favor with that ugly ass hair of yours and what the fuck are you wearing, ya look like Dorothy on a budget.” Mollie snickers. Barbara was taken aback by the insult. Fred, not wanting this to get worse, intervenes. “B-Barbara! Please. I’m absolutely sorry for what I did!” Mollie looks at him, annoyed. “Fuck off! Her hair’s ugly as shit anyway.” She shouts. “Mollie you’re not helping.” Fred replies. “Oh, really and what if the freak shaved you bald?” Barbara asks. Mollie grins at her. “He won’t do that. Unless he wants to piss off Maddie.” Fred looks at Mollie. “I-I would never do that to you nor Madison!” Barbara raised a brow. “Who’s Madison?” She demanded.
“I’m Madison, bitch!”
They turned to see who shouted. It was Madison, looking extremely pissed off at the blonde. As Madison strolls next to her sister, Fred gazes in defeat. “Is it too late to cry?” He thought. Madison asked what was going on. “Oh, nothing. Just some dumbass trying to get herself beat up, that’s all.” Mollie says smirking. Barbara moved back from them, scared. “Y-You wouldn’t hit me in front of everyone!” She utters. The twins slowly turn to Barbara, both glaring and smirking at her as they say simultaneously.
“You want to test that theory?”
Time for him to stop this before it gets worse! Fred steps in between the girls. “N-Now ladies. Please, we do not have to resort to violence.” He said, nervously chuckling. Barbara glares at the girls. “I don’t see why you two are defending this freak! He’s literally from an asylum.” Fred looks down, slightly ashamed by the remarks. Madison, seeing Fred upset, grabs him by the arm and pulled him closer. “M-Madison?” He utters quietly. She smiles up at him and pecks his cheek. She looks at Barbara, smirking. “Please, bitch. The only time I’ve seen him freaky is in bed.”
Fred froze, his face red by the comment as Mollie started cackling. Barbara looks at her in disgust. She tries to stutter out an insult, but Madison cuts her off. “By the way, his dick is fantastic.” She says seductively. Mollie sat on the floor holding her stomach laughing as Fred covers Madison’s mouth with his hand. “O-Okay, that’s quite enough from you, dear.” He shouted. Blushing as he felt her smirk under his hand. “Oh, I see. Didn’t know you were into floozies now Fred.” Barbara responds, smirking.
That smirk went away once Mollie stopped laughing while Madison slowly removed Fred’s hand from her mouth, giving Barbara a dirty look. Fred looks at Barbara, shaking his head. “Why” He asks quietly. Mollie stood up and got in Barbara’s face before Madison had the chance, shocking all three of them. Mollie’s face darkens. “Repeat that again.” She asks slowly, causing Barbara to stutter, slowly backing away. Only for Mollie to move forward. Madison nudges Fred telling him that they need to stop Mollie before she does. Fred sees the panic in her eyes and agreed, immediately standing in between Mollie and Barbara as Madison pulls her sister back. As Madison calms her down, Fred sighs and looks at Barbara. “Barbara, I know what I did was wrong, and I apologize. I do not know what else to tell you but attacking these girls won’t help.” He said firmly. Barbara just looks away at him, silently.
He sighs again and looks over at Madison. “Madison, is there anything else we need to get?” She looks at him and quietly shakes her head. He smiles and walks up to her, caressing and kissing her cheek. “Then, we should get going, love. We don’t want Aunt Muriel to worry.” Madison blushes as Mollie chuckles at the scene, finally calming down. The twins agree and all three make their purchase and walked out of the store. As they drove back home, Mollie complains that they should have let her hit Barbara. Fred interrupts her. “And what, let you go to prison? It’s not worth it Mollie.” Madison joins in, giggling. “Besides we both know you don’t hit more than once, tiger.” Mollie pouts and look back out into the road making the couple laugh. Once they got home, they made up an excuse as to why they took so long & jokily glanced at Mollie. She looks back at them her jaw dropped. “Wow! That’s crazy! I didn’t even do; you know what. Never mind.” The twins laugh as Fred shook his head in amusement.
It was time for Mollie to head back to the airport, as she walks back to her car, she apologizes once again as Madison gives her a hug. “Would ya stop that, I said it was fine. Just don’t do it again, okay.” Madison said sternly. “Of course, it was very stupid of me. You guys should definitely come to Las Vegas when you get the chance!” Mollie said.
Fred looks on from the porch with a content smile but is surprised when Mollie calls out to him. “Hey Fred! You better treat my sister right! Don’t have me hear that ya broke her heart, got it?” Fred smirks as he walks up to Madison and wraps his arms around her waist, making her blush. “I don’t think I’m planning on hurting my love for a long, long time.” He chuckles, kissing her head. Mollie smiles and rolled her eyes at his comment. She shakes his hand and waved goodbye to Madison and the Bagge family before heading off.
A/N: I’ll be honest, this was quite a difficult chapter to make. But I’m glad I finally got to finish it! Thank you everyone the support and patience. See ya next time!
