Phoenix stirred in stasis when her processor decided it was time to get up. The femme was warm, comfortable…..and still in Knockout’s room. Her jade optics sprung open when she realized where she was. Slowly, she sat up and carefully placed Knockout’s arm down on the berth. The medic only shifted and snored a little. In a quiet, swift move, Phoenix stood up and crept to the door. Once she was outside, the shame hit her. What have I done? With her head down, she began the walk of shame back to her quarters. Luckily for her, it was an ungodly early hour and everyone else was still in stasis. I must be the most retarded person….machine….thing….I don’t even know what the fuck I am anymore! The femme trotted quickly back to her room, and shut the door. Panic started to settle in, but she forced herself to remain calm. It was casual sex with Knockout. It didn’t mean anything. She plopped down on her berth, and threw herself on her back to stare up at the ceiling in the gunmetal gray room. Why do I feel like it meant something? It didn’t! Fuck…I need to talk to Starscream. *X*X*X* Starscream was sitting on a couch and listening carefully to what Phoenix was so upset about. His abdomen was swollen only a little in evidence that he was indeed with spark, but it wasn’t enough to hinder his flying. “Phoenix, why are you so upset about having casual sex with Knockout?” the Flight Commander asked curiously. He and the femme became fast friends over the course of the few months she was there with them, and especially now that she was a seeker. The femme sighed and slouched on her end of the couch. “It feels like it should mean something,” she grumbled finally. “Oh I see,” Starscream said in a tone that meant he knew exactly why she was so tormented. That made the femme’s wings perk up a bit in curiosity. Starscream smiled a little and said, “You don’t know about Knockout’s track record.” “Should I know about this?” Phoenix asked curiously and sat up. The mech sighed and added, “He’s been around a few times and broke a few sparks along the way. He knows how to interface with you in a way that makes you feel so special that you want it to mean something, but it doesn’t. To him, you’re probably nothing more than another notch on his berth post.” “Oh,” Phoenix said sadly and her wings drooped as low as they could go. She slumped down again on the couch and was fighting back tears. She placed a hand on her face to hide herself from her friend. Starscream felt bad for saying what he had said, but he knew he was right. He’d been there before, and now that he’s carrying the overlord’s sparklings, things have been going well between them. Knockout was just a little infatuation, and he knew that he was just another conquest for the medic. He didn’t want his friend to go through what he’d been through. “I’m sorry,” he apologized, and didn’t say a word when she stood and quickly walked out of the rec room they were in. *X*X*X* Phoenix had no idea how long she had sat on her berth, staring at the door. Her jade optics were filled with absolute rage. He used me…that bastard fucking USED me! The femme’s optic ridge twitched when she got an incoming comm from Knockout. :: I need you in the med bay for a learning experience. We have some wounded Eradicons down here. :: “Oh I do NOT want anything to do with him right now!” Phoenix shouted and flung herself back on the berth with a groan. After staring up at the ceiling for what seemed like forever, she recived another ping that only just infuriated her further. Finally, she stood. Fine. I’ll just not speak to him unless it’s necessary. *X*X*X* “It’s about time you got down here! Come here,” Knockout stated to the femme and had a solder in his hand while he spoke, “This guy got his arm blown off and I have to put on a replacement. Go into the storage closet and see if you can find me an arm that looks like one of theirs. There should be an entire shelf of them in there to the left I believe.” Phoenix just nodded and headed over to the said closet. She’d only been in there a couple of times when he or Breakdown were giving her the tour of where things go. After thumbing through strange components and other devices, she finally found a shelf full of Eradicon parts. She picked up an arm, but paused for a moment. Fuck was it is left or right arm? “Phoenix! Hurry up I can’t hold pressure on his energon line forever!” the medic shouted at her. That made Phoenix growl and her wings give an angry twitch. She just grabbed both a left and right arm and trotted back in there. “Here,” she grumbled and shoved them in his hands. Knockout looked confused for the attitude and why she even brought two arms in there. “I didn’t know which arm to bring so I brought both,” she clarified, though she wasn’t sure how she knew why he was confused. Knockout gave a nod and picked up the right arm and went to work putting it back together, talking as he worked to explain what he was doing. He’d have her work on one after he let her observe enough times. Phoenix watched at Knockout worked and although she was angry with him, found the work to be complicated and interesting at the same time. Every time she’d look up at him, she’d feel a bit of anger toward him and kept chanting to herself, don’t show you’re mad, don’t show you’re mad. *X*X*X* When Knockout managed to repair all four of the damaged Eradicons, he decided to pull Phoenix aside in his office t have a word with her about her attitude. Phoenix sat down in the chair across from his desk and still held a mild glare. Finally, the medic sighed, and asked, “What’s wrong with you today?” “What do you mean?” Phoenix asked in the best fake innocent tone she could. “You know what I mean,” Knockout deadpanned. The femme sighed and rolled her optics. She was angry with him and she certainly didn’t want to talk about it. The medic crossed his arms over his chassis and stated, “Is it about last night?” Phoenix’s entire demeanor changed. Her wings flared in a haughty position, her ridges furrowed into an almost scowl. She crossed her arms over her chassis and questioned sternly, “What do you think?” “I think you’re overreacting and I thought you were mature enough to handle being my assistant and my lover on the side,” he stated and became just as angry as she was. That pissed her off. “Mature? Mature?!” she shouted, “If you want to talk about maturity Knockout, obviously you aren’t qualified. I’ve heard of your little exploits here on the ship.” “From who?!” Knockout demanded. “That’s irrelevant,” Phoenix stated and stood, “I will make myself perfectly clear to you: I am not some whore you run to when you get an itch you can’t scratch. I am ashamed of myself for giving in so easily last night but I’ll be damned before I allow you to seduce me again. I’ll remain your assistant, but I will not be your lover. Do I make myself clear?” “Crystal,” Knockout growled and watched the femme storm out of his office. When she slammed the door, he picked up the nearest object, and hurled it.While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
