Elisa Maza felt weird being in the police station wearing nothing but a bathrobe, but she left her clothes in Central Park and it was all she could find in the Clock Tower.
The detective had taken a sample of Zulu's blood with an unused syringe while the voluptuous female was sleeping. Fortunately, while the green woman stirred she did not wake up, and Elisa had taken the sample downstairs so that one of her buddies in the crime lab could take a look at it. Maza wanted to know exactly what she was dealing with. The woman obviously wasn't a normal human being. Her friend should at least be able to tell her if Zulu was an exotic mutation like her brother Talon or something not human at all.
While Elisa was taking the blood sample for testing Goliath had gone back to Central Park to get her clothes and see if he could find the green male that was with Zulu.
The policewoman felt a little uneasy about leaving the exotic woman alone, but she reassured herself that Zulu probably couldn't get into that much trouble if she was asleep and no one else was there.
Angela had already learned a lot since coming to New York City. Elisa and her father's Clan had taught her about muggers, traffic laws, science fiction, cars, airplanes, and even fast food.
But nobody had told her what to do when you found a naked green woman asleep in your chair. So she fell back on what Princess Katharine had taught her.
She firmly grasped the reaching limb in a clawed hand and said graciously "good evening stranger, I am Angela of the Wyvern Clan, and you are?"
"garboth foo mophly" the woman answered sweetly.
"Oh good" Angela replied weakly.
She could tell from the female's appearance and her scent (exotic but not unpleasant) that she was not human, and she appeared friendly. Beyond that Angela didn't know anything about her.
Still she couldn't go around naked. Princess Katharine had been very clear on that point. Good girls did not parade around with their charms bared for the entire world to see (regardless of their species).
So she gently pulled the green woman to her feet and then looked for something for her to wear. The best thing she could find was a pink bed sheet. Then she wrapped the material around the strange female, doing her best to appear friendly and non-threatening. Throughout the experience the green female just stood there. Smiling fainting at the young gargess. When the winged woman accidentally touched her bosom she left out a faint moan that made Angela briefly stop. But when the green woman took no further action she finished working on the makeshift garment.
Once Angela was done and the sheet was firmly in place the exotic female gently grasped one of the gargoyle's hands and brought it to her mouth. Then she took one clawed digit in her mouth and lightly sucked.
There was something indescribably sensuous about the way that she massaged the finger in her mouth and looked at the young gargoyle.
Angela simply stared at her, entranced by the unusual experience. Until the intimate moment was shattered by a familiar voice.
"Angela what are you doing?" Elisa Maza exclaimed.
The young gargoyle jerked guiltily and withdrew her finger from the woman's mouth as fast as she could without injuring her.
"I was just….uh…why do you have her scent all over you" Angela demanded, eager to change to subject. It was true, Elisa did have her scent on her, and now that the gargoyle was getting used to the green female's natural smell she could sense the detective's scent on her.
"Umm welll…I had to perform a full cavity search on her" Elisa replied. Which was somewhat true. She and Goliath had explored all of Zulu's major orifices, although they really hadn't expected to find anything.
"Why" Angela asked in honest confusion.
"Well that's kind of complicated…." Elisa Maza began.
"If Sevarius doesn't want him I'm gonna just kill the bastard" Nick Jones thought.
The operation had not gone well. They had tried jumping the green man and he had pulled some sort of weird gun out. The weapon had blown a huge smoking hole in Billy's chest, and even though a shot from the gun had only grazed Jones arm, the flesh there was now charred. But before he could get off another shot Nick had knocked him out with a quick blow to the head. Then he had pulled the green man and Billy's corpse into the van and drove off.
Now as Jones neared Anton Sevarius's secret lab (a few miles outside the city) he hoped he had made the right decision.
The thugs who handled Sevarius's security waved him through, and soon Nick Jones was in the lab (filled with computers and equipment whose purpose Jones could only guess about) with the `great' man himself.
Anton Sevarius studied the pair from behind his desk.
Nick Jones looked like a stereotypical thug. He was a middle aged, heavy set Caucasian male with a brooding face, who was a wearing a thick trench coat (although he smelled faintly of burnt meat for some reason).
While the man he had draped over his shoulder was strangely dressed and green.
"What do you have for me now Jones" the rogue scientist asked in his sneering voice.
Nick Jones responded by dropping the green man to the floor. "THIS" the thug replied.
Anton Sevarius went to the green man and examined him. After a few moments he realized that this was no ordinary man.
Showing no sign of how excited he was the scientist looked at Jones said in his snide voice "I think we can do business Jones."
The huge winged grey male had returned and he had brought four more members of his species with him (males if Zulu was any judge). As well as some sort of fierce looking (but apparently friendly) animal.
Three of the new comers kept saying things to Zulu in their strange language, and appeared to be sniffing her. While the other new male (who was distinguished from the others by fact that he had more facial hair and was the only one to wear a shirt) simply watched her critically.
The pretty grey female was having some sort of intense discussion with the huge winged male and the human Elisa Maza.
"Is there anything to eat around here" the hungry Falleen asked helplessly.
Of course no one answered her.
The three young males continued to pester her and the human Elisa and two grey ones continued to argue for a few minutes. Then when the first rays of sunlight appeared on the horizon, all the winged humanoids (and the weird animal) stopped moving, and then seemed to solidify into rock.
Zulu panicked and tried to get away from whatever had (apparently) killed them.
