***The Tale of Kaon: PT 1*** Posted by ToonQueen, Transformers Animated future crack universe. X3
I watched too much Tank Girl when I was young. I LOVES ME SOME WRITING POST APOCALYPTIC FUTURES. This is probably going to be a four parter, IF WE CAN BE THAT LUCKY. Not saying anything more, hopefully the story itself will explain the plot.
This is very Alternative Universe. I'm following StSE's rules, but also may come up with my own ideas as I go~
-----------------------------
**note from StSE: This miniplot series begins 200 years AFTER the initial prototypes rolled out of the factory..***
"This is Tom Cat to Bright Raven. We've secured the northwest sector of the city. There are no bots or humans to be found here. We are currently in the factory and found nothing salvageable," a man spoke while among his small away team. It was a group of six, all heavily armored and armed. From afar they would looked like a black clothed uniformed military unit. On closer inspection their artillery and armor was a mishmash of what they could salvage. Two 'human sized' bots were not far from the group, seeming to be part of the team. They appeared to be watching the humans' backs while they congregated in the middle of the abandoned factory.
"HEY WAIT! I think I found an intact one!" a smile beamed from a seventh human that was barely out of eyeshot from the other six. He leaned over a conveyor belt. When he found that wasn't enough to reach what he saw, he climbed onto the belt itself. One of the humans from the group of military men hand-signaled a robot to go help their straggler, "Hey! I don't need help, I almost-"
The seventh man proved to be less professional then the rest of his team. As he climbed his foot kicked a lever that made the conveyer belt start to move. The bot that was sent to back him up grabbed the seventh man by the back of his shirt like a misbehaving kitten. It was quite a site, seeing the man was a 6'2 adult. The helping bot sighed like this was a common occurrence. He put the trouble causing man down and turned off the belt.
"Sooooo, since you're here, can you get that bot too?" the tan skinned man beamed another smile and pointed to the inactivated bot on the other side of the belt. The bot did as he was told and retrieved the other figure. Two of the military walked over to check out the situation.
"What'd ya got there?" one of military men asked his clumsy teammate. He squinted at the offlined bot. The tan skinned man hooked up a cell phone sized mini laptop to it.
"It appears to be a Seeker class, unpainted. Probably on the way for finishing touches before this factory was stopped!" the seventh man brimmed with excitement. He liked finding more bots. He loved being useful to the team in his non-combat areas! He quickly typed with both thumbs like an excited teenager texting to a new girlfriend, "He's untouched by the virus, never been activated! Huh... thats weird..."
"What is?" the same military teammate asked again.
"He's never been activated, but he has a designation," the cheerful man raised an eyebrow over his dark purple eyes, "That's interesting."
"Lets take it back to the base then and make sure it’s alright with the boss to activate," the military man replied. He signaled to the bot beside them to pick up this other one, "We've searched enough of this stink-hole for today anyhow, lets pack it up and head back to camp."
---------------------
The team's tech was absolutely elated that he had been given permission to activate the robot. He hurried from the boss's tent to his own. There camp was set over the abandoned city they had been searching for days now. He never took a moment to look at the gorgeous view, too busy in his own projects. The area looked more like a lab than a place of sleep. The inactivated bot had already been placed in his tent on the rickety make shift lab table. He quickly hooked up his small laptop to the machine again.
"Dum dee dum, what do we have here, a simple hack to get the access code. Hee hee hee," the man spoke and giggled out loud as he downloaded his own hacks into the inactive bot. He didn’t bother deleting out the pre-designation the bot seemed to have. It was a part of what made this found bot so interesting. He was curious to see what it was. A stream of number feedback showed up on the inventor's screen. He then saw what was to be the activation code.
"Skywarp activate, owner code 72098-Z-9801-TDI," the excited blonde inventor read from his screen. The robot's optics lit up their common Decepticon red. A wide smile spread on the inventor's face. The small Transformer sat up on the table He then lowered himself standing to the ground. He looked up at the human that activated him, since he was about two inches his superior. The Seeker spread out his wings before he spoke.
"Model 72098-Z-9801-TDI activated, registered owner - Vishal Sumdac," the robot replied. His voice was unusually strong from what the inventor knew of Skywarp models. Before Vishal could comment on the bot's audios, he realized something else.
"WOAH, hey wait. The hacks are supposed to overpass having a personal registered owner! My hacks have NEVER failed before," muttered Vishal as he looked over the feedback his small computer was giving him. He had activated hundreds of these bots, not once did the hacks get over passed! The online droid stood still and looked over his new master silently.
The man was tall, but had a wiry build. The bot blinked his optics to come more in focus. He also saw the human was very dirty. Vishal in his excitement did not care about the dust that had coated him while exploring the city. Goggles rested one his head. His messy blonde hair tried to cover the rims of them like vines climbing a wall. His tan skin was completely spotless around his purple eyes.
The man was too involved in looking over the code feedback to notice the bot watching him. The robot was almost amused by the human's spastic antics to find out what was wrong. Vishal's hands held the sides of his small computer as his thumbs furiously typed and scrolled. He seemed obvious that he should perhaps first talk to the robot.
"Hello Master," the activated robot decided to speak up without being spoken to. Vishal nearly jumped out of his skin.
"Oh, OH! Sorry! I knew you were online, I just, er... got into my work!" the boyish acting man nervously chuckled, "Well, I guess I'll have to figure that out later. Er, don't call me master!"
"Sorry... Sir?" the robot politely replied. He tried out a more 'gentler' designation for the man. Vishal unhooked the small computer from the bot and put it in his pocket. He then wiped his own hand in his shirt and offered it to the bot for a handshake.
"The name is Vishal. Some of my bot friends call me Top Notch. No need for formalities, we're pretty laid back here," the inventor smiled. The robot's processors brought up the information provided for human interaction. He then took Vishal's hand and shook it in a friendly handshake.
"My name is Kaon, Sir," the unpainted Seeker replied. Vishal chuckled at the bot's inability to drop the formalities just yet.
"Ah ha! I knew you already had a designation. Hm, it sounds kinda familiar. Not a name of any cloned bot I know. But SOMETHING... interesting, interesting," Vishal said as he pulled his hand out of the handshake. He then rested the hand on his chin in a thinking position. He stroked the barely existing in goatee he was trying to grow in, "I'll be running you through the basic tour and training we do for any bot we salvage. But I have to say, you're already proving to be stranger than the norm. Overriding my hacks, and already having a name! Do you have any clue why you are like this?"
"No. Not at all," Kaon paused to search his meta. Nothing out of the ordinary showed up for him, "Perhaps with time we will both find out."
"Sounds good to me. Life's the best unending project you know," smirked Vishal as he gave the Seeker a pat on his inner shoulder.
"No, I do not know," Kaon raised an eyebrow, taking the man's comment literally. Vishal chuckled at that as he turned away from the mech. The man went to his traveling desk to search for something within the mess on it. The robot still stood where he was activated while he still processed the pat Vishal had given him moments ago.
Kaon had received a strange sensation from Vishal's touch. He was programmed to accept a human's touch, and the feeling in his processor was not rejecting it. However, there was something else his sensors were picking up, "May I say something, without meaning to sound rude?"
"Sure sure, go ahead," smiled Vishal as he brought over a clip board that carried some sort of checklist. He then pushed back some of the junk on his desk. Vishal then promptly sat on it, facing the standing bot.
"You are not human," Kaon stated. He did not form it as a question. He did not want to pry into the subject if his Master did not want to. Instead a wide cheshire grin spread on the tan man's face.
"Wow, it normally takes a bot a few weeks to notice that!" chuckled Vishal. He crossed his tall legs while he sat and rested the clip board there, "Yeah, I'm an organic bot. Cybertonian tech made and have a spark just like you."
"Cybertonian? Spark?" Kaon referenced his processors for that information. All he could come up with was human physical information and how it translated to his body. There was no information on a spark at all.
"Oh, yeah. You were made in a human factory. You didn't come with that information. Actually one of my hacks was supposed to install it for you. Since that didn't work we'll have to do some old fashioned learning on that subject later," Vishal's smile went down to a normal level.
"Why not right now?" asked Kaon firmly, his optics then sheepishly looked away, "Sorry if that was out of line..."
"Haha, nah nah, its not out of line. I like being asked questions. It makes it easier. Wellllll, there is a LOT of information to cover really. There's a lot more you need to know before we can get to your personal mechanics. Like for starters, its probably a few hundred years in the future from your original construction date. A LOT has happened. I guess, long story short, there was a HUGE war," the inventor started to blab on.
The Seeker clone hung on to every word Vishal said. The bit spastic inventor's creative way of story telling was very colorful. He even went to a chalk board and drew out in intricate stick figure detail the last battle with a big robot known as Megatron. The history Vishal was teaching seemed to be in the point of view of a child. After what felt and probably was hours Vishal finally paused to let the bot speak.
"Sorry there, I went off on a tangent... uh.... any questions yet?" asked Vishal. He wiped his hands in his shirt, adding chalk dust to the dirt.
"My original purpose was for human pleasure?" Kaon questioned, actually sounding annoyed that was the first topic his processors went to. He found himself actually more interested in the historical facts that were presented to him. But something warmed his sensors when he thought back to that subject.
"Ah, yeah. Seeeeee... thats something else the hacks WOULD of taken out," the tall inventor started to explain as he picked up the neglected clipboard. When he went off on his storytelling he had dropped it on the desk where it once was. The boyish inventor then tried to explain, "Thats not your primary directive anymore though, see what we do now is help the humans rebuild ... and stuff."
"Then, you were made with the same purpose as well?" Kaon curiously tilted his head to one side as he took a closer look at Vishal. The bot obviously concluded himself to be the newer model compared to his master. He did not say this however, since he did not want to make Vishal feel inferior.
"Wh- wha- what?!? Oh no no no!," the blonde's face reddened in a moment of shyness, "Er, I was constructed by my parents to be their son. I guess you could say that was my first primary directive. Now I help activate bots like you so we have more allies. I should really update my logs. I can't even keep track of the last time I ate, let alone how many bots I've set up."
"You are a human, that needs to eat? But still made like I am?" Kaon questioned again. He had become as curious about his Master as his Master was of him.
"Yeah... thats the simple way of explaining it," Vishal chuckled softly, "Once I teach you some basic Cybertonian info I'll explain the difference between you and me."
"May I ask something of you Sir?" the robot politely questioned. While in the back of Vishal's mind he was still frustrated about the hacks not working, he was starting to like the 'Sirs' and polite behavior from the bot. Vishal started to unbutton his dirty black shirt. He had a thin white tank top underneath. The inventor dropped the shirt in the pile with his other dirty laundry.
"Yes! Go right ahead!" Vishal smiled at his eager student. After the initial excitement of finding the bot, he was realizing how filthy he had been.
"Could you touch my shoulder once again?" Kaon asked. His usually strong voice had an underling of shyness.
"Uh.... of course.... because thats how you were able to figure out I was a bot?" Vishal logically concluded. While the Seeker clone had shoulder armor on each side of his body, Vishal’s hand went solidly on the inner shoulder. It was the place between the shoulder armor and the collar of the Seeker build.
"Yes. I believe so," Kaon said softly as his sensors analyzed the feeling. Now it was more than just a quick pat from Vishal. The recently activated bot could feel the 'pulse' of wires and energy under the man's organic skin. Vishal took another step closer even though there was no need to, "Fascinating."
"Huh?" Vishal at first thought it was the bot's reaction to him moving closer. He then realized Kaon meant what information he was reading off his touch, "Oh me? Its nothing really that amazing. You're the interesting one. I've already listed why... but you also seem to have a different primary personality from any one I have ever seen before."
Kaon wondered how the inventor could conclude his 'personality' from the little talking he had done. However, if Vishal had activated a lot of bots before him, maybe he had become good at figuring out each individual. Kaon felt that despite Vishal's young and playful personality that he was very intelligent. He just had a funny way of showing it.
After a few more moments the blonde pulled his hand away. He then patted on Kaon's arm. It was the area that if he had been a 'real' Seeker, his blasters would be mounted. Kaon compared the feeling with the previous touch on his shoulder. This time Vishal's action was hesitant, as though he was hiding something. Kaon's sensors could pick up the man's temperature suddenly spiking a bit higher.
It was as good as reading the Vishal's mind. He had a moments slip into a sexual thought. It was a thought of something that could be done between him and Kaon. The inventor had almost shocked himself! Never in hundreds of activations had he ever thought of taking advantage of a bot for their original purpose.
Kaon on the other hand had no limitations running through his processor. His programming was eager to please whatever Vishal was feeling. The man shook his head, almost comically, as if he was literally trying to shake the thought out of his mind. Kaon was disappointed as Vishal's hand left him.
"Ineedtogoshower," Vishal blurted out. Like a flash he was on the other side of the tent gathering up clean clothes and a towel, "You're basic factory programing should have some basic reading skills. There are some books on my desk if you want to catch up on history some more."
The Seeker clone raised an optic brow at the human bot's sudden behavior. He had picked up a moments want and need from Vishal. But then, Vishal suddenly wanted to deny himself fulfillment. It didn't make sense with the facts he had in his processor. Then again, Vishal was a bot of some form. Perhaps there was some sort of taboo of sexual gratification between two bots?
"TakeastatisnaporreadI'llbebacksoon," Vishal stumbled out again as he was out of the tent in a flash. Kaon sighed as his Master left. He knew the problem was not with him. It was either something about bot culture he did not know, or perhaps Vishal was damaged in some way.
Kaon looked over the titles on the desk. None seemed to interest him at the moment. Looking to the floor, he saw some books that were pushed off when his Master had sat on the desk earlier. He opened one and started to read silently to himself.
'Dear Journal,' was what the book started out with.
-------------------
Will Vishal give in to his desires? What is the story behind Kaon’s strange background? What will he read in that journal? Wait… what is this mention of a virius?!?!? Stay tuned~ XD And thank StSE for coming up with this concept!
