I'm on Christmas break and that means a buttload of updates! *Waves flags* I feel terrible about leaving the story to brew for as long as I did but school took over my life. Actually, it wasn't too terribly painful this semester...Anyway here's the next installment. No boy on boy action in this one, possibly the next if things go the way I plan them to. ^-^

“Whaaaat?!?!” Jazz squeaked into the phone she was clutching in a death grip.
“Oh Jazz, I’m sure you and Danny can take care of yourselves for three more days. We’re on a major breakthrough! And people are actually listening to your father for once. This rash of sightings is making even his rants more believable, isn’t that fabulous?” Mrs. Fenton’s voice crackled over the phone line. It was Saturday morning, about ten, and this was the worst news of the day. Jazz was torn between keeping this all a secret from their parents and begging them to come home and protect them.
“Jazz? Honey? Are you there?”
Mrs. Fenton’s voice broke Jazz out of her daze. She shook her head and took a deep breath. There was no way she could consult with the others right now so she’d have to make this decision herself.
“Mom, I want you to have your cell phone on at all times. I’m really…worried. Danny’s not in the best condition right now…something happened. I’m worried that whoever caused the situation is going to come by again…and if that happens I want to be able to call you back here.” Jazz willed her voice not to shake. It was a compromise, at least until she could talk to the others.
“…Well what-…what happened dear?” Mrs. Fenton’s voice was heavily tinged with worry.
“I…I don’t know.” Jazz winced. She hated lying, especially to her mother. “But I think we’re safe for now and there’s nothing much to worry about. I just…I want to be able to reach you okay?” There was a long silence over the phone.
“Okay Jazz, but I’m going to call you and check in on you two okay? Where’s Danny by the way? Can I talk to him too?” Mrs. Fenton seemed to buy it, but she was still concerned about her children as all mothers would be.
“He’s still asleep. Tucker slept over last night too, I’m sure they were up all hours playing video games or talking.” Jazz waved a bored hand. Though, she was thankful they were both still asleep and she didn’t have to lie again.
“Oh.” Mrs. Fenton sounded disappointed. “Well, my cell phone will always be on, thank goodness I remembered to pack the charger…I’ll call back later tonight if I don’t hear from you again today. Okay?”
“Sounds good to me Mom, thanks. I’ll talk to you later.”
“Bye-bye sweetheart.*Click*”
Jazz sighed and slumped back against the wall after hanging up the phone. She slowly slipped down the wall to crumble into a lump of herself on the floor. It was a lazy thing to do, but she was fucking worn out. This was too complicated for her, too dangerous, and too upsetting. It would be so much easier to let an adult take over, but…would they even know what to do? After a moment of depression, Jazz forced herself to perk up. She got back to her feet and started making breakfast for the boys and herself.

Danny woke up feeling tired in a very good way. He had slept like a rock and without dreams. He couldn’t remember why right now, but he knew that was a good thing. Tucker saw Danny’s perfect blue eyes flutter open and crawled on top of him. He kissed under his jaw and smiled shyly when Danny’s gaze finally settled on him.
“Morning.” Tucker murmured quietly. Danny looked confused for a moment, but then a flood of blush on his face signaled his memory recall. Tucker blushed when he saw Danny blush like a chain reaction. His own brown eyes fell upon Danny’s neck. Just above some strange choker was a sweetly pink spot. Tucker smiled with pleasure and pride. God, he never wanted this moment to end. …However, he could do without the pain in his ass. Well, nothing was ever perfect right?
“Damn, that really happened didn’t it?” Danny said with a distant dreamy look in his eyes that Tucker couldn’t help grinning at.
“So says my tired body and sore ass. But hey, if you want to try it again to reassure yourself…” Tucker teased. Danny laughed but shook his head.
“I’m sure Jazz is awake now….what time is it anyway?” Danny looked around but his alarm clock was buried under random objects. When he looked back to Tucker, who was just watching him with a strange dazed look on his face, he smirked. His eyes landed on the dark mark on Tucker’s neck. It sort of marked Tucker as his, and only his.
"I don't know, and I don't really care. But I do have to get home soon." Tucker said grinning like an idiot. Danny felt his heart melt a little. He could get used to this part too. He reached up and pulled Tucker's head closer for a hot and slow kiss. Now this was the only way to wake up.
"Now that...everything's out in the open...I wish you didn't have to go. There's still a lot of stuff we need to talk about." Danny said softly getting a little serious. Things like, making sure Vlad didn't know anything about their new relationship and ...well...getting himself as far away from Vlad as possible. Unwanted flashes of disgusting and painful moments flew through his mind's eye, draining any sort of smile from his face. He didn't want that in his head anymore. It changed everything about him and his life. Danny couldn't just ignore it, he might forget about it for an hour or two, but then a scene would stab through his mind and he'd be depressed all over again.
"Danny? Are you listening?" Tucker raised his read from his *blush* lover's chest and frowned. He had been trying to tell Danny that he'd be back on Monday for the whole day but it was obvious he wasn't paying attention. Danny's dark blue eyes settled on Tucker's and the ebony lover watched as his eyes slowly took focus. "Danny...what's wrong?" Tucker knew Danny almost as well as Danny knew himself. It wasn't like Danny wanted to keep Tucker in the dark, but Danny was just too tired to even talk about it.
"I'm just tired," Danny's stomach interrupted him and he almost laughed, "and really hungry, can we clean up and get breakfast?" Tucker's full and pouty lips curved upward mischeviously. They decided to take a shower together which turned out to be a bad idea. They didn't get nearly as much showering done as groping and making out. After some...release...they finally got to the showering part. When they came downstairs Tucker had a dreamy look on his face and Danny looked ten times better than he had the other day, much to Jazz's delight. Sadly enough, Tucker had to head home right after breakfast. With a stolen kiss and a promise to call that night the dark beauty left for home.

Jazz rolled the phone reciever around in her slender hand with a heavy sigh. Danny was dead asleep in his room, as she had seen to. She glanced at her plain clock for the time, it was only six. Actually, she was damn tired herself, but her mind was going at such a rate that she couldn't possibly fall asleep. Mostly, she was thinking about her afternoon spent with Danny. Jazz had never felt so close and so far away from Danny at the same time. She would probably never tell anyone what had happened or what was said. It was just too special, too precious to risk breaking. Danny poured parts of his heart out to her and spent most of the day in her arms crying. When she helped him to bed, he kissed her cheek thanking her for not trying to fix him, for just listening.
It had taken the better portion of Jazz's self-restraint to keep from analyzing the situation and trying to 'fix Danny'. Getting into that mode set her away from the issue and kept her feelings and emotions safe and locked away so it was a rather comfortable alternative to letting Danny do what he needed to and leaving herself as exposed as he was for the time being. Little did she know, Danny felt the same way about what had happened between them that day. He'd actually learned quite a few things about her and had a sneaking suspicion about something he was sure Jazz was supressing but that wasn't important at the moment. But they both knew that Danny was still locking his ordeal up tight and it was tearing him apart inside. Danny couldn't bring himself to express his feelings about the whole thing and Jazz (and Tucker) couldn't coax him otherwise.
Jazz had been woken up by the two lover's the night before, so she knew what was going on, or she could at least guess. Danny was getting hit with a lot really fast. Jazz found out for certain about his secret, Danny figured out he really liked guys over girls, he was sexually harassed (to put it mildly), and was starting up a relationship with Tucker. Tomorrow, Jazz had to go into school, even though it was Sunday for a group project meeting and she needed someone to watch over Danny. Tucker was out of the question, he had been allowed a short phonecall to let Danny know he was grounded. That left Sam and Dash.
Dash was stronger, therefore he might be able to take better care of Danny. But the boys were still on unsteady ground and not sure how to act towards the other anymore. Sam was familiar and could take care of Danny's emotional needs...plus that meant that Jazz got to call her and talk to her more. Sam brought out the more relaxed side in Jazz and she liked it a lot. She really should have more friends like Sam, did Danny realize how lucky he was? Well that wasn't the point right now, she had some favors to ask and she'd better decide if she was either going to ask her group if she could skip one meeting or ask Sam to watch Danny while she was out. Jazz debated one last time before dialing Sam's number.
"Hello, this is Sam." A grumpy voice crackled over the phone line. Jazz smiled softly, how cute.
"Sorry, were you getting ready to go to bed already?"
"..-Jazz? Oh, no I-I mean, uh, hi! Something wrong?" Jazz grinned as she rolled onto her back on the bed. Sam's voice had gone from grumpy, to surprised, to nervous, and then concerned.
"No, nothing's wrong but I've run into a complication with my watch duty tomorrow. I'm supposed to spend most of the day through to the evening finishing up a project with a group at school. I completely forgot about it and I was wondering if you'd be able to hang here and be with Danny." Jazz said twirling her hair absently. She stopped it as soon as she realized what she was doing and made a face. "I'd need to leave by ten and I'd get home around seven."
"Last minute stuff? Funny, I didn't think you were a procrastinator." The voice had turned into a playful tone.
"Tch, it's not me it's my group. I have my portion done but the rest of the group needs help and we have to put it all together so it makes sense. Needless to say the original plans weren't followed so who knows what they've come up with. Does this mean you'll do it?"
There was a pause over the line. "...I can come over until about one. I've got a family thing...don't ask, just don't." She sounded mortified even though she hadn't told Jazz what was going on.
"Okay, okay I won't ask. Well I can't get Tucker for the last half because he was over here 'illegally' the other day. Turns out he was grounded or something." It was Jazz's turn to pause. "I guess this means I have to call Dash, huh?"
"He's on our side remember?" Sam replied, but she knew why Jazz was so hesitant. "Hey, I'll warm Danny up to the idea before Dash gets there. In fact, let me call Dash and tell him about it. I don't think he's doing anything tomorrow and if he is, well I'll do my best to get out of my family thing."
"Thanks a mil Sam. I mean it. I don't know how I would have been able to handle all of this without you. If there's ever anything you need me to do, I'm there." Jazz sighed softly. She meant every word.
"Nah, I'm good. I'll just force Danny into complimenting me for the rest of his life or something when we get through this." Sam joked.
"Ah, you're so good to him."
"Aren't I just? Well, I better call Dash now. See you tomorrow, Jazz."
"Bye Sam." As Jazz hung up the phone she began to wonder...when exactly were they going to get through this?

*sighs* I really need a Beta soon. I can't tell if I'm keeping the same flow...Anyway, feedback is muchly apprieciated and keeps me writing. I'm also looking for some people to RP with in messengers for fun, I've found it inspires me for some abstract reason.
