What happens when Aang actually fails and the Fire lord succeeds at his plans?
Who will be the worlds last hope at stopping the Fire lord? Or is there anyone at all?
Rated T for now but will later on be rated M for the content that I don’t wish to reveal as I don’t what to spoil it J
Sorry it took so long to get this part out. L I haven’t been feeling well the past week, so I didn’t work on this chapter so much. It’s a bit rushed, but this chapter will be the last chapter with any “love” scenes.

Chapter Four: Zuko’s Love Part Three
Rest of the dinner went like a breeze. They all laughed and smiled, but after they got done eating, Toph stood up and excused herself. She went over to the waiter and told him she was going to pay for her part, and pull out a sack full of gold pieces and handed it to the waiter. “Keep the tip.” She punched him in the side and walked back over.
“I don’ know about you kiddies, but I’m going to back so I can go to bed.”
“Yeah I think me and Sukki are going to come with you.” They waved goodbye to Lynn and Zuko, who remained sitting.
Zuko turned and looked at Lynn. “Would you like dessert?” Lynn nodded in agreement.
“Waiter.” Zuko motioned for their waiter to come over.
“Yes?”
“The lady here would like a dessert.”
He pulled out his pad and his quill and waited for her to decide. “A strawberry tart please.”
The waiter bowed and walked back towards the kitchen.
Lynn looked around enjoying the scenery with the moon being out and the fire lanterns reflecting in the pond beside them. She noticed the fire flies dancing above the pond, without a care in the world.
Zuko gazed at Lynn and could feel his nervousness rising again. He swallowed it and decided now or never.
“Here you go madam.” The waiter sat the tart in front of Lynn.
“Would you like for me to share with you?”
Zuko nodded his head in disagreement. Lynn shrugged, and began eating her tart. She quickly finished as it was rather small for a tart. Zuko stood and dismissed himself as he went to pay his tab.
Lynn try to remain posed, but she felt slightly nervous.
She quickly regained herself, as Zuko stood beside her and offered a hand to help her up. Lynn reached for her flowers that he had gotten her and intertwined her free arm with Zuko’s.
Zuko lead them to a quite little fountain in the upper ring and they both stood there admiring it. Zuko slightly glanced around checking to see if anyone was around and decided there wasn’t.
Zuko started to walk towards the fountain and Lynn followed as they sat on the edge. Zuko turned to face Lynn and shifted himself so he would be closer to her. Lynn sat her flowers down next to her and looked at the fountain trying to let the sound of the water sooth her.
“It’s really pretty.” Lynn commented.
Zuko looked at Lynn. “Not as beautiful as you are.” Zuko reached for Lynn’s chin to lift it so he could gaze and look into her eyes. He couldn’t help but slightly smile as she was blushing. He moved his hands to her and brushed it away and let his hand rest on her cheek. He loved how her skin felt to him.
Zuko felt himself almost on the edge of exploding. He had to tell.
“Lynn, I…” Zuko paused. He couldn’t do it. He let his arm fall to the side from Lynn‘s face. He was mentally slapping himself.
“What? Did I do something wrong?”
“No, you could never do anything wrong.” Zuko took a breath. He couldn’t do it.
He stood up and offered a Lynn as he decided to escort her home. The soon reached her house in the middle ring.
“Thank you, Zuko for the wonderful night.”
“I’m glad you enjoyed it.” Zuko smiled. Zuko slightly bent over to kiss Lynn on the cheek. He could feel the heat from her cheeks rise. Lynn looked into his golden eyes, as he gazed into her sparkling blue eyes.
“I want to tell her, but I can’t.” Zuko thought to himself.
“Goodnight.” Zuko kissed her again on the cheek and began to walk away. He heard Lynn open the door and close it.
Even though he felt defeated, he did enjoy the night he had with Lynn. He finally made it to where he was staying with the others. They were all in bed and Sokka was snoring as usual. He laid down and surprisingly fell asleep.
--
Zuko felt a breeze as someone ripped his blankets off. He sat up and noticed it was Katara. Zuko rubbed his eyes.
“What are you doing?”
“Getting you to wake up! You’ve been in bed all morning! What happened last night?”
Zuko looked around and was surprised the sun didn’t wake him as it rose.
Katara handed him a cup of tea, as she knew it would wake him and sat down beside him.
“I’m sorry for how I acted last night it…”
“Don’t worry about it.”
Zuko sipped some on his tea.
“So how did things go?” Katara was curious.
“Good.” Zuko tapped his fingers on the cup. He then brought the cup down to his lap trying to hide something that he usually got in the morning after having dreams of Lynn.
Katara smiled slightly. “Doesn’t sound like it went that good.” She thought to herself. Last night she came to grips with Aang’s death, along with the reality she actually had feelings for the Fire Nation prince. She decided she would admit to her feelings to Zuko if things didn’t go well between him and Lynn. She had a crush on Zuko when they was in the prison cell together in the Earth Kingdom, but after what he had done it went away to only come back after he joined their group, which left her confused between Aang and Zuko and why she didn’t kiss Aang back at the play.
She scooted closer to him. Zuko turned to look at Katara. She sat her tea cup down and just decided to bold and frank. She had spent all of her life without a boyfriend and in a couple of years she was going to have to marry rather she liked the idea or not.
Lynn walked up to the hut and halted when she heard Katara talking and stood for a moment to see if she needed to come back at a better time.
“You know Zuko..” Katara was getting really close to him, and Zuko sat with a puzzled look on his face. “I’ve always liked you since our first time together in Ba Sing Se, and you don’t even know if Lynn likes you back….”
Zuko scooted away from Katara and put his hands in front of himself to hold her back if she got close again. “Katara, you’re a really good friend, and I don’t want to hurt you, but I really care about Lynn.”
She got closer again to Zuko looking into his golden eyes.
Lynn continued to stand outside, blushing at the fact that she heard Zuko admit how he felt about her but furious at the fact that Katara was throwing herself in front of Zuko.
Lynn clenched her fist as she continued to listen. “What has gotten into Katara!?”
Zuko continued to back away from Katara as she kept getting closer. He was trying to avoid from hurting her. “Katara, what is with you!? Your not acting like yourself!” Zuko stood up and began walking away until Katara stood up and grabbed his shoulder making him turn and face her. Zuko sighed and placed his hands on Katara’s shoulders.
“Katara, there is no doubt that your not a powerful and beautiful water bender, but Lynn captured my heart a long time ago way before I even meet you or anyone else.” Zuko looked into Katara eyes. She could tell he meant every word and his eyes seemed different. Zuko turned and began to walk out.
Katara put her head down. “So your saying if you never met Lynn, things would be different?”
Zuko slightly turned his head and looked back at Katara and his eyes where squinted. “Things would be different, yes but I wouldn’t want to imagine how things would have been like for me if I never met her.” Zuko then turned and faced Katara again. She was crying. He walked up to Katara and embraced her. “Katara, you have to understand.” Zuko paused. “If it wasn’t for Lynn, I would have never joined you guys. I would have eventually captured the Avatar and turned him into my father, and there would have been no hope, and I doubt if that happened Lynn would have done anything….” He stopped what he was saying. Katara wiped her tears away and looked at Zuko. She then sat down on a mat and Zuko sat next to her.
“Are you okay?”
Katara nodded. “I don’t know what has gotten into me lately.” She looked away. “I guess I’m having more of a hard time than I realized about Aang’s death.”
“It’s okay.”
“Are you going to continue with what you was saying? If you really like Lynn, maybe I should try to help you.” Katara felt her heart slightly sink but she knew she wouldn’t be with Zuko, but she should at least help her friend.
Zuko was slightly surprised.
--
Lynn turned and began to walk away until a rock hit her in the back of the head. She turned to see Toph standing behind her laughing at her.
“What was that for!?” Lynn rubbed the sore spot.
“It’s time to begin your training.” Toph threw another rock, only it was fairly good size and Lynn busted it into tiny pieces.
Toph smiled. She walked up to Lynn and handed her a head band.
“What do you want me to do with it?”
“Tie it around your eyes. Your going to learn how to see, without using your eyes.”
Lynn tied the band around her eyes and waited.
--
“There’s not really much more to say.”
Katara raised an eyebrow.
“There’s not.”
“How do you expect me to believe that? I don’t even need Toph to know that your hiding something.”
Zuko sighed. There was a lot to say actually, it’s just he couldn’t.
“You know, if you can tell me and get it all out then you should be able to tell Lynn no problem.”
Zuko turned and looked at Katara and then saw her necklace. “Your necklace, isn’t there some kind of water tribe tradition behind it?”
Katara raised her hand to her necklace. “Yes. It’s a bethrothal necklace and the men of the northern water tribe carve them and present them to a woman as a token of affection. I got mine however from my mother.”
Zuko stood and began walking out.
“Your going to make her a necklace?”
“Maybe.”
--
Zuko had finally gathered what he need, to make Lynn an necklace. He found a quite place and began. He held a small block of metal he brought in his hand and heated it and began to mold it into a shape.
He knew the kind of necklace he was making wasn’t very traditional per say, but he was still carving it, only out of metal that he heated and worked. He knew Lynn would love it but hoped it wouldn’t bring back bad memories of her banishment. He squinted his eyes. He knew what they did to her, and no less to a ten year old girl.
He finished the piece and picked up the second small block of metal and began to work on it, but didn’t take half as long as the other piece since it didn’t require a lot of shaping. He held then laid the two pieces next to him side by side and ran his finger over where they both met slightly smelting the two pieces together. He reaching into his pocket and brought out a piece of black silk and brought it to the warm pieces and held it to the spot where he smelted letting the silk bind with the metal. He picked it up and smiled in satisfaction of his work.
The necklace had a fire nation emblem made of gold with a crescent silver moon upside down so the bottom of the emblem and the bottom of the moon met. He placed the necklace in his pocket and decided he would give it to Lynn at the right time.
--
Lynn rubbed her shoulders as the beating she took from Toph was quite rough. She found a tea shop and decided she should order some to relax.
She began to drink her tea and slightly spat it out. “This is terrible.” She thought to herself. She sat the cup down, paid her tab and decided maybe she would go see Iroh. He did make excellent tea.
She began to walk where she thought she would find Iroh. She saw Zuko and Iroh standing ahead talking to each other. They both turned and saw Lynn and Iroh dismissed himself and Zuko tucked something into his pocket.
“Where is your uncle going?”
“He said he had to go take care of some things, did you need to talk to him?”
“Well, I was just going to ask if he would like to drink some tea with me.”
“Oh.”
“Would you like to drink some with me instead Zuko? I really need a break after the beating I took from Toph.” Lynn rubbed her neck.
“I know a place we could go.” Zuko slightly smiled as he had an idea.
“Oh?”
“Yeah, it use to be my Uncle’s tea shop that was given to him by the Earth King before everything happened with Azula.”
Lynn followed Zuko but stopped by the fountain with the lanterns. None of which was lit, considering it was still day.
Zuko reached into his pocket. He was glad he talked to his uncle who gave him encouragement to do what he is about to do.
“Lynn, I want to give you something.” He turned and faced her who seemed puzzled.
Zuko pulled out the necklace and Lynn gasped when she saw it. “I made it for you.”
Lynn reached out for it. “Zuko, its beautiful.” She smiled. Zuko walked behind Lynn, who pulled her hair up as Zuko put the necklace on.
Zuko finished and turned Lynn around to face him who was blushing.
“I love you.” Zuko whispered to her as he pressed his lips against Lynn’s while wrapping his arms around her waist.
Author’s note: next chapter should be up soon it will be a lot better than this chapter and will have some action I actually did a mock of drawing in ms paint of Lynn’s necklace, but of course the necklace it self is A LOT prettier. The crappy drawing I did is here:
i79./albums/j152/brokenreese/necklace.jpg?t1220004589 (be sure to put. h t t p : / / in front of it...it won't let me for some reason and no spaces lol)
The necklace of course represents Zuko(Fire) and Lynn(Moon). Also again sorry it took so long for this chapter I actually had like 7 different versions of the chapter. Also Katara will be back to being normal again Next chapter I am very please with so far and shouldn’t take as long. Thanks to all the readers
