Captain Renquest didn't really have to worry. The rest of the voyage went smoothly, with only the southern tip of South America giving small trouble. While Elsa, Maui, and Moana took the violently rocking ship in stride, Anna and Rapunzel found themselves leaning over a bucket heaving their lunches up.
Elsa had to conjure warm clothing for Maui and Moana as they began to get further south. It was the end of summer in the southern hemisphere, and temps were falling. That meant however, they would be arriving in Corona just in time for their summer. Elsa knew that the two big islanders would be fish out of water upon arrival in Europe.
On the second day out from the battle with the Arendelle ships, Elsa had come to the group with a determined look on her face. The others had just turned to face her when she made a declaration.
“As far as I am concerned, the South Pacific Islands are Arendelle territorial waters. If I have to talk with the the other European powers to do it, I will find a way to annex all the islands, from the Sandwich Islands south to the British colonies in New Zealand. Those are our people, Moana, and by Te Fiti, I will not leave them to European or American powers to be oppressed,” Elsa's tone left no room for contradiction.
“Island Lilly, thank you, but you know, as well as I, we were only just beginning to scout out. Many islands still don't know Lani Tai or Matinui,” Moana pointed out.
“That doesn't matter, Moana, my love. We'll find all of them, and unite them into a solid force to be reckoned with,” Elsa asserted.
“Elsa, you have been away for a while. Remember, the reason Arendelle and Corona have historically not been major powers is that our population bases are low. And to a degree, in comparison to the English and French, we are very poor countries. You won't have the money to buy so much territory, let alone New Zealand or the Sandwich Islands! You'd bankrupt Arendelle just by buying up a handful of islands!” Rapunzel countered.
Elsa smiled wickedly. “That was before I found something about two years ago. Most of the islands Moana and I visited are unclaimed and uncharted. Lani Tai and Matinui are just two of them. There was, however, this one other island I found that can change everything. And I know exactly where it is. And to top it off, Arendelle has always been a major trade nation along the north seas and Baltic. I know I can wrest these islands from the hands of Europe.”
“Island Lilly, are you referring to what I think you are referring to?” Moana prodded.
“Yes. Tomatoa. The island we named after that damned crab,” Elsa puffed her chest out.
“Island Lilly, that is a big risk. Remember, that island is an active volcano!” Moana cautioned.
“I know, Moana. But the wealth there is worth the risk in this case. Punzzie, I need your captain to take the ship where I direct him to. We need to chart this island so that I can use it as leverage against the European powers,” Elsa turned to Rapunzel.
“Elsa, I'll direct him to, but can you explain better to me at least?” Rapunzel asked, as Anna cocked an eyebrow. Maui just looked bored.
“Tomatoa was a giant crab we defeated in our adventures when I first came to the South Pacific. He was the first monster I faced with Moana. He also had a thing for shiny stuff. He had a whole horde of treasure on the back of his shell, actually.
“Well, we named the island after him because there was a cave just full of shiny gemstones and gold veins that glittered and shone. I am pretty sure it was gold too, and not that fools gold stuff, because it was in a huge quartz and diamond deposit. I at least remember what raw diamonds look like from when I dealt with that ship from Russia two months after my coronation. Thing is, some of the diamonds were colored, so I know they are worth tons more than the white ones,” Elsa explained as Rapunzel waved the captain over.
“Wow. Elsa, that sounds like a king's ransom. You very well might be able to pull your scheme off after all, depending on how much is actually there,” Rapunzel conceded.
“Yes, your majesties?” Captain Renquest had asked as he came over.
“Captain, I need you to follow Elsa's directions to an island. We need to make sure we have it charted and mapped so that we can use it as leverage,” Rapunzel ordered.
“Your majesty, I have been charting each and every island we have come to. I will of course do so, but forgive my impetuousness, is it important enough to let that bastard Admiral Hans beat us back to Arendelle for?” Renquest asked.
“Good. And yes, it is. It is important enough to the future of Arendelle, I would say you'd have a fight from Queen Elsa on your hands if you tried to refuse,” Rapunzel stated regally.
The good captain just shook his head and bellowed orders to the helmsman. Elsa thanked Rapunzel and then hurried to the helm to help guide the ship. It took a week of sailing, but they eventually found an island with smoke rising from an active volcano in the center. While the captain had the first mate chart the island, he and the group of five all boarded a boat and landed on the island. Elsa guided the group to a cave where after a few hundred feet in, they all gasped at the sight of so much wealth buried on the island.
“Elsa, this could turn Arendelle into a real power!” Anna exclaimed as she ran her hand over a vein of diamonds.
The captain gave a critical eye to everything, and then snorted. “I am just wondering how much of this is worth mining, your majesty. There is certainly enough here that you could make Arendelle a very wealthy kingdom, but that is going to depend on quality. All of this is real, mind you, and I would be surprised if it wasn't quite pure, but nothing is proven yet.”
“Mortal, it was put here specifically for Elsa and Moana to find!” a booming voice sounded through the cave.
“Say what?” Anna and Rapunzel both squeaked in unison.
A large rock formation started morphing into a humanoid shape as everyone turned as one to Elsa and Moana. Finally, the rock shaped into a woman wearing what looked to be a crown of flowers made of stone. Moana, Elsa, and Maui all took a knee immediately as they recognized the goddess Te Fiti.
The Goddess smiled as she spoke, “It took me time to figure out what has happened in these last thousand years. Needless to say, that after observing the people of Europe who have come to these waters, I was dismayed, but I had an inkling as to how Elsa and Moana could save them. Not through force of arms, but through subterfuge and greed. Thus I commanded this island to form. You should find more than enough of what the Europeans covet to convince them to relinquish their plans on this region.
“All of what you see here is only a fraction of what is on this island. Normally, I prefer to not get involved, but the council was most adamant that I needed to actually look at how the world changed and then get involved. And so, I shall try to protect my children, and aid my champions. I made sure that it was ready for when Moana and Elsa could use it. I didn't expect them to seek to do so so soon though.
“And so, I leave it to you and your own plans on how to save these waters and your people from the greed of Europe,” And then the rock formation simply returned to it's original state and everyone turned to Moana and Elsa again.
“Just who in Odin's name was that?” Anna blurted.
“That was Te Fiti, my new goddess. When she laid back down after we restored her, I wondered if she was going to play an active roll in the world again or not,” Elsa explained.
“Well, your majesties, I have never met a god before, but I can see why you did convert, Queen Elsa. Hard to argue with an island goddess' existence when she stands before you!” Renquest exclaimed.
“Indeed, Captain. Well, now that we have seen what we needed to see, and Te Fiti herself let us know it should be what we needed, we need to get back to Corona. I have a feeling that I am going to need to liberate my country from Admiral Hans before I can set things to rights again,” Elsa said with a sigh.
They returned to the ship with enough samples to confirm to the European powers their soon to be claims, and set sail back to the south east once again. This time there were no side trips, and they made good time. It was revealed that Tangaroa had been keeping tabs on the group in the second week of the voyage when the captain asked them if they had been the reason they had found swift currents the whole way. Tangaroa had risen up and confirmed that he was trying to speed their voyage as he desired that Hans not have such a huge lead on them.
And so they crossed back into the Atlantic at last and made their turn north. Elsa and Moana were always found together, usually with one or the other leaning against the other. Anna spent time getting to know the islander and how the pair had just seemed to slot together so perfectly right from the start. She told them how happy she was for them, and that while it had taken time to adjust to them being a couple, as she said to her Elsa had been single and showed no signs of being interested in a partner when she last looked.
Anna was utterly dismayed to finally be told how she had treated Christoff once Rapunzel felt she was ready. The horrified look on her face was that of someone living a nightmare. She and Christoff had been so thoroughly in love she couldn't imagine how she could have tried to have him killed. In the end, it just steeled her resolve to make sure Hans failed, if not outright kill him. She also resolved to try to repair the damage to her relationship.
The fact that Wessalton and The Southern Isles were just off the west coast of Europe meant that crossing by them was treacherous. The captain gave them as wide a berth as he could, in hopes to avoid another incident, but sighed heavily as they passed the two island nations with no difficulty. Finally, they set their course back to the east slightly and northwards. Corona was a fairly good sized island nation off the west coast of Ireland, and despite several attempts by England, still remained it's own nation.
They pulled into the capital city of Sunstone's main port and Elsa and Moana were surprised by the sheer number of naval warships that were in the harbor. Flags of all the Alliance were seen, with the notable exception of Arendelle. Rapunzel came up next to the pair, and was shortly joined by Anna and Maui. She smiled sadly.
“If only all this wasn't for a war. Now, however, I think we can end it. But at what cost I wonder,” Rapunzel said softly.
“I'll get it to end. Don't worry,” Elsa said firmly.
The group all nodded. Moana hugged her wife closer, and their dresses rustled as she kissed her full on the mouth. “Island Lilly, you can do anything you put your mind to!”
“I just wish we had had the privacy for other activities before we got here, you know,” Elsa smirked wickedly.
“Hey! Enough of that! I don't need to hear about your private lives over here!” Anna said in mock outrage.
The group all laughed as the ship finally was tied off at a pier and the boarding plank lowered. An escort of royal guard in dress uniforms were waiting with a man in dashing attire, short styled brown hair, and a knowing smirk. Rapunzel brightened immediately upon seeing him. Elsa just chuckled as the Queen of Corona charged down the boarding ramp, her pink dress swirling about her, and right into the arms of her husband, Eugenie, also known as Flynn Rider.
Elsa's elegant slit legged, shoulderless bright green dress was a perfect contrast for the ice blue one that Moana wore as they came down the plank. Unlike traditional European fashion, the dresses hugged their curves and were not the billowy affair that Rapunzel and Anna wore. Anna's green gown was the least prudish thing she still had and she was determined to prove that Queen Regent Anna was a completely different person who did not return from her voyage. Maui on the other hand, had conceded to wear pants and boots, but refused to cover his massive muscled chest.
Once King Eugenie had pried his wife off of him, and came up for air from the intense kiss, he smiled as the rest of the group formed up on the pier. He frowned at Anna, who had the decency to look ashamed, but Elsa put a reassuring hand on her sister's shoulder. He smiled brightly at Elsa, though his look was briefly confused as he noted the tattoos that were partially shown.
“Welcome to Corona, Queen Elsa! We are ever so glad you are here! There have been developments in the last two weeks, and not good ones. Please, everyone, follow me,” and he gestured for everyone to follow him to the castle.
Once they were in the castle, they all gathered in what looked to be some kind of war room, with maps and charts all over the walls. Elsa noted a scarlet flag pin in what was the island nation of Arendelle, between England and Norway. As the group gathered around the main table, several officers came in, along with several diplomats.
“Alright, here is the quick and dirty version. I am sure you all have a lot to fill us all in on, but for now, this takes precedence. Arendelle has fallen,” Eugenie stated flatly.
“I figured it would have by the time we got here,” Elsa confirmed sadly.
“Well, it is the how of it that concerns everyone. Three ships flying the Arendelle flag sailed into the harbor unchallenged. It was as if they had been expected. Only thing was, it was Admiral Hans. His troops swept through the town before your guard could react. They took the castle almost without a fight. He then declared that Queen Anna,” he glared at Anna again, “had betrayed her people and that she was unfit to rule. He then declared himself King of Arendelle as there were no remaining members of the royal line. And he did all that in two day's time. And that was a month ago.
“There were some loyalists in the navy who decided to let us know what had happened, and that Hans had formally declared that Arendelle was no longer a member of the Alliance, and was now siding with the Concordant. We haven't heard from them since. From what we gathered, a lot of the Protestant immigrants who had come over during Queen Anna's reign joined right up with him. They are still a minority, but they have an army and navy to back them,” Eugenie finished.
The English ambassador huffed, “Damned traitors! He had to have been planning that from the beginning! The man's ambition knows no bounds.”
The German ambassador grimaced. “That leaves the Alliance in a terrible situation. Technically, the charter is no longer valid. I am unsure how the Kaiser is going to react to this news. Effectively, Hans won the war, through deceit and treachery, but effective none the less.”
“I do not wish to see Hans on any throne. The man is a snake, and a tyrant. And worse, Arendelle is in a prime position on multiple trade routes in the north seas. God only knows what that man is going to do to our trade!” the Norwegian ambassador lamented.
“Gentlemen, the Allaince still stands! Remember, the treaty was to back Arendelle against the Concordant, but it was with Corona, not Arendelle. All that has changed is that our mission is now to liberate Arendelle from Admiral Hans. And now we are joined by Queen Elsa and her wife, both of which are powerful warriors and sorcerers. I have seen as much first hand!” Rapunzel pleaded.
“Your majesty, we are aware of Queen Elsa's powers over ice, but that alone can not win a war,” the English ambassador nodded at Elsa, while ignoring Moana. “The simple truth here is that Hans holds all the cards. We don't even know how he has managed to stay one step ahead of everyone like this! It is as though the man has discovered some kind of magic and is using it himself!”
“Mr. Ambassador. Are you saying that the Alliance will not aid Queen Elsa in recovering her throne?” Rapunzel challenged.
“I am afraid, your majesty, that was the Queen's own directive. England is withdrawing from the Alliance, effective immediately. The war is over for us,” the English ambassador turned for the door.
He was stopped by a sudden surge of ice sealing the door. He whirled around, only to find an extremely angry island woman standing before him. She actually reached up and grabbed the larger man by the ear and pulled him down to her level.
“You betray your allies?! Is this your honor?! My Island Lilly needs your aid, and you turn your back on her?!” Moana started only to be interrupted by Elsa.
“Moana! That is enough. I am sure the Ambassador would like to hear what I have to say,” Elsa's tone chilled the whole room.
Moana let the Ambassador go, and the man sputtered as he stood back upright as Moana crossed the room to join her wife. Finally, he seemed to compose himself.
“And just what do you think you can offer Queen Victoria to aid you now that you are a Queen in exile, Queen Elsa?” the outrage he felt was obvious.
“Victory. An end to the war that isn't surrender. And much, much more. So help me, by the wills of Tangaroa and Te Fiti, I will freeze Hans to a block of ice and shatter him myself! I am done playing with the man, or fearing him. An all out attack. Our combined forces into one last clash in the fjords of Arendelle. Surely the Concordant lacks the necessary ships. I saw what looked like a sizable fleet in the Sunstone harbor,” Elsa's tone dropped the temperature in the room another couple of degrees, and Moana tried to put a reassuring hand on Elsa's shoulder only to have the large blonde brush it off. Her rage was evident even to the incensed diplomats and military officers in the room.
The English ambassador straightened his vest and glared at Elsa. “Bold words from a Queen without a country. And your invocation of what I am assuming to be some kind of heathen gods aside, even your ice powers would not be sufficient. A powerful sorceress you might be, Elsa,” the Ambassador's deliberate lack of title did not go unnoticed, “but this is war. And war is fought by men. And I am telling you, right now, Queen Victoria has no desire to sacrifice any more English lads chasing a fool's errand.”
The man did turn to the door, and it took considerable effort for him to do it, but he flung the door wide and left. The British Admiral in the room gave Elsa a solemn and sympathetic look. “I am sorry,” was all he said as he too left the room.
The German and Norwegian ambassadors also gave Elsa a sad sympathetic look. It was the German ambassador who spoke up first. “I am sorry, but without the English, there is no chance of success. With the English backing out, I am afraid that the Kaiser will do likewise. I am truly sorry, Elsa, Queen Rapunzel, but this is the end.”
The Norwegian Ambassador stood his ground though. Even as the Germans left the room he gave Elsa a sad look. “We still stand with you, but we are not enough. Norway simply lacks the forces for it. I am sure the king will be happy to put you up in Trondheim, Queen Elsa. Or you might be better served to stay here in Sunstone with your cousin. Either way, I fear that the war just ended, with our defeat. However, we will remain to defend Corona until such time as we can sue for ultimate peace.”
Elsa slumped into a chair, her depression producing a small swirl of snow around her. Moana knelt next to her and put her hands on hers. Rapunzel looked at the Norwegian ambassador solemnly.
“I'll send for the diplomats from the Concordant. We'll try to negotiate some kind of peaceful surrender. Even they weren't thrilled with the war,” Rapunzel said softly.
The Ambassador just nodded and motioned to his own military officers and they left the room. All that were left were Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, Moana, Maui, Flynn, and the rest of the Corona officers. Elsa began to sob softly at her failure.
It was six days later when a surprise hit. In the intervening time, Anna had finally approached Christoff and apologized. She explained that she had been cursed, but Christoff had said he needed time to reconcile it all. He avoided Anna at every turn after that. Anna's normally irrepressible cheerful mood was decidedly absent. Moana kept trying to get through to Elsa, but her wife was firmly stuck in a depression she couldn't break. Maui was sympathetic, but otherwise seemed immune to it all.
Then on that sixth day, Rapunzel had called the group into her meeting room. Elsa and Moana noted that the Norwegian ambassador and military officers were there, as were the French, Spanish, Danish, and Wessalton diplomats. Though there was a man with a hooded cloak over his face. All of them wore grim expressions. Elsa feared the worst.
And then they all got up and bowed to her. Several came over and kissed her hand like proper gentlemen. Then they repeated the process with Moana and Anna. Elsa was slightly confused, but Flynn just smiled a reassuring smile from his seat at one end of the table. Rapunzel motioned for them to come and take seats to her right. Once Elsa and the others were seated, Rapunzel cleared her throat.
“Alright, they are here now. Let's go over this again, so that they understand,” Rapunzel invited.
Then the man with the cloak pulled the hood back and revealed himself to be King Connerad of the Southern Isles. His smile was sad as he leaned forward.
“While I personally disprove of your choice of partner, as Queen Rapunzel explained, I must congratulate you on your wedding. That said, our business here is most grim. It concerns my son who may or may not have been driven mad,” King Connerad said softly, his deep voice firm.
“I am sorry, I don't follow?” Elsa asked.
“To put it simply, Senora, Hans became more than a little bit of a liability to everyone,” the Spanish ambassador said. “He was of great benefit, initially, to the Concordant, but we came to realize the man is unhinged. He has been obsessed with becoming the King of Arendelle. I believe the events of your coronation, Queen Elsa, drove him mad with a need for revenge.”
“In fact, Mademoiselle, if it hadn't been for your sister's curse driving her to continue the war, we all would have preferred to have buried the sword. The truth is, no one's heart has been in it since the beginning. Honestly, most of us approve of you, and were saddened to see you sail when you did. We believe Hans wouldn't have stood a chance if that hadn't happened. Can you please explain why you left?” the French ambassador asked.
“I would be eager to hear that myself. I had dispatched an envoy to end the fighting just prior to you sailing. He should have beaten you,” King Connerad requested.
“I did receive your diplomat, but the demands he relayed were wholly unreasonable and would have deposed me had I accepted,” Elsa explained. “I thought you were angry with me and so I decided to remove myself from the diplomatic situation and left Anna in charge. It was my hope that she could defuse things enough to negotiate peace while I went to China and Japan. Then she got cursed, and I had my ship shot out from under me in the South Pacific.”
Moana put her hand on Elsa's to comfort her. Elsa smiled at her in the first sign of a turn of her mood in days. The by-play was lost on no one. King Connerad cleared his throat.
“All my diplomat was to do was request a simple ceasefire to open negotiations. He was to make no other requests, and certainly no demands. I believe we have all been played for fools by Hans. And now he has your throne and is presuming that I will negotiate with him as an equal, or even recognize his rule. Again, the boy seems to have lost his mind.
“Queen Elsa, I want to bury the sword, right here and now. No terms, just an agreement between us that the war is over. Can you agree to that?” Connerad's tone was softly pleading.
“King Connerad, as the Queen in exile, I accept those terms,” Elsa said formally.
“Thank you. I know you have many reasons to continue to harbor resentment towards my country, and I hope to repair that relationship. And my Allies would all be most happy to help with that goal for all of us. Hans will pay dearly for this. However, I wish to leave his fate in your hands,” King Connerad said with considerable feeling.
“I want my throne back, your majesty. And I want Hans dealt with once and for all, so that he will never come back to haunt us,” Elsa said with grim finality.
“You mean to kill him?” the Danish ambassador asked.
“Will you try to stop me?” Elsa demanded.
“No. More than that, I think I can speak for all my allies in saying that we intend to help you do it. As far as the Southern Isles is concerned, Hans is a rogue traitor acting contrary to the interests of the Concordant. However you wish to deal with him when we finally oust him, is up to you,” the grim tone of King Connerad showed deep regret.
“The problem, Queen Elsa, is that as you well know, Arendelle the island is a veritable fortress when properly manned. It is just that way that your family managed to remain independent despite several attempts by multiple nations to conquer you. The fjords are easily defended from the high cliffs and mountain sides, and the mountains make an overland attack from any other point an effort in futility,” the Spanish ambassador pointed out.
“You are right, Ambassador. However, that assumes many things. First of which, I and Anna both have in depth knowledge of those defenses and terrain, and second I highly doubt that the majority of the people would would willingly accept Hans as their king. Particularly if I come back from the dead. Hans keeps making the same mistake. He claims victory before he confirms his enemies are actually dead,” Elsa said with a grim tone of her own.
“A lesson he has always failed to learn. I think it would be fitting if we could get all your former allies in on it once and for all. Make it clear to Hans that he stands alone. That he has no one to turn to, and nowhere to hide. I'd consider it a fitting thing to defeat him in such a manner,” King Connerad said firmly.
“That might be a bit of a problem. I have it on good authority Hans paid off the English in a significant sum of gold to quit the war, and the German Kaiser is a pragmatist. The Kaiser won't see a gain to joining us, and the English Queen has to deal with her own parliament if she could be convinced to join us,” Rapunzel said flatly.
Elsa had been told two days prior that the English had been paid off, so that wasn't surprising. Still, she was firm that Hans would pay for his crimes. And she had her own business. She just had to win the war first.
“Alright, I accept your help. What are we going to do?” Elsa asked.
“We are going to assault Arendelle, with the intent to rescue it from a pretender. Queen Elsa, regardless of the differences between you and my Duke, I hope that we can repair the damages done. Wessalton would welcome Arendelle trade once again. Speaking off the record, the Duke regrets what he did at your coronation. And he seeks to make amends now that his time grows short,” the Wessalton ambassador said quietly.
“What do you mean his time is short?” Anna asked.
“It is a closely guarded secret, but the Duke is on his death bed. He had a bad spill from a horse, and he hasn't recovered. And he wishes to express his profound apologies for his behavior. And again, off the record, the Duke's son is a vast improvement over his father. He actually has a slight fancy for yourself, Queen Elsa, but as was pointed out at the start of this, you are a taken woman. He should still take the disappointment in stride though,” the Wessalton ambassador explained.
“Then please express my condolences, and that I accept his apology,” Elsa said sympathetically.
With that, the group broke up and agreed to discuss the actual strategy at a later date. Rapunzel vowed to find a way to get the Germans and English back on board. It would be two days before the ambassadors from Germany and England came to call.
Rapunzel and Elsa summed up what they and the members of the Concordant had discussed, and both seemed to regard Elsa and Rapunzel slightly differently. The German ambassador contemplated the revelations for a moment before he said he would try to talk to his superiors and see if he couldn't get the Kaiser's support. The English diplomat seemed utterly unfazed by it all.
Ultimately, they agreed to pass on the requests in the most expedient manner. It was almost four weeks later, and Elsa was turning into a nervous wreck as more and more warships cluttered the Sunstone harbor. As she looked out her window one morning she caught sight of a large number of new ships. She couldn't make out the pennants at this distance, but she found herself hoping it was the Germans or English coming back.
Moana woke up in their shared bed and stretched nakedly and smiled at her equally naked wife. “You know, I love it when you just stand there naked,” she purred.
Elsa turned and smiled at Moana. “It is a state I prefer, and prefer you in.”
“We should do it more often. Though, I am starting to miss the islands. This place is nice and all, but it isn't Lani Tai or Matinui. Though, what has that smile on your face?” Moana got up and came over to the window.
“Just look out into the harbor. The ships just doubled in number over night!” Elsa said excitedly.
Moana looked out into the harbor and frowned. “Island Lilly, have you thought about what comes after the battle?”
Elsa's mood soured. “I have. And I have decided to name a successor and then abdicate the throne as soon as I have secured our islands and passed laws protecting them.”
Moana shook her head. “I don't think that is going to be that simple. I have been thinking about it for some time. Despite how much everyone wants to stop this war, I have been hearing things in the town. Corona, and the rest of this Europe have been at war off and on so often that lands have changed hands many times over the generations. The English, French, and Germans are the biggest three cases. How long would it be before they all decided to invade the islands and take them away from Arendelle by force? Or even if that never happens, how long before the rulership of Arendelle changes and they decide to exploit us all?”
Elsa sighed heavily. “I know. I know. I want to go home myself. I don't want to get tied down to Arendelle's throne just to protect our people, but we may have no choice. And you are right, times are changing here. The Americans are making advances all over their continent. And there are rumors of steam being a potential source of power the likes of which we have never seen. So much is happening so fast, and apparently politics are changing just as fast.”
“Exactly, Island Lilly. I want to go home and see dad and mom again too, but we can't do that if it is going to endanger all our people. Dad and mom would understand. They knows we have greater responsibilities. And it wouldn't be just us in danger. It would be the whole world. Just look at how close Hans came to causing every European nation to be at each other's throats. If one man can do that, how likely would it be that a small group of people, or even a whole nation could cause the same thing, possibly even worse?” Moana pressed.
“Too likely. And when did you become so adept at such things?” Elsa asked.
“Rapunzel has been mentoring me since we got here. She seems to think that if I am to be the Queen of Arendelle, I should at least know how to do the job,” Moana said with a wry expression. “Well, I guess it would be co-queen.”
“At the least we can always go back from time to time. Rapunzel already declared our island chain Arendelle territory, pending my reinstatement. And the other Europeans didn't argue with that. However, before any of this can be an issue, we have to win the battle. And before that, I want to bed my wife again,” Elsa's voice trailed off seductively as she ground her hip against Moana's shorter form.
Before Moana could respond, a knock at the bed chamber door interrupted. Elsa groaned, and a brief moment to conjure clothes now that her ice magic was back to full in the northern climates and she crossed to the door. She opened it, only to find an empty hall. She gave a confused look, and closed the door again. She had just turned back to Moana and was going for her sash, even as Moana was going for hers, when another knock on the door came.
This time, Elsa whirled around and yanked the door open. There was no one there again. Elsa closed the door, and held her hand up to Moana to forestall any questions or actions. She waited only a moment before the knock came again. This time, rather than opening the door, she simply called out, “Come in!”
And in a poof of light, a pair of ravens were sitting on the back of one of the chairs in the room, and a man was standing next to it. His long grayed beard, and patch covered eye didn't detract from the stylish clothes he wore. He simply smiled at Elsa.
“Took you fewer tries than some to figure out a god was knocking, Queen Elsa. Unlike Loki, I Odin, do have some consideration for those I choose to visit. I am just sorry I had to spoil the mood. However, this can't wait any longer,” Odin said firmly.
“All-Father, I am sorry, but I don't follow you or the others any more! I did not expect...” Elsa started before Odin held up a hand.
“That doesn't matter, Elsa. You are still a child of the gods, no matter which gods you choose to follow. Honestly, I am happy you found yours. I am not here to try and sway you back to my ways. Instead I am here with a warning.
“Your enemy is far more cunning than you are giving him credit for. Hans, the bastard, is using foul demonic magics. We have been struggling for generations against this particular demon. It will masquerade as any god it thinks it can get away with, to provoke those who follow them to greater violence and evil. Thing is, Hans knows he is dealing with a demon, and willingly goes with it.
“Hans deliberately went looking for this demon. And more than that, he has allowed the demon to possess him so that he could have greater power. Hans and the demon have almost become one entity at this point, and Hans' ability to scheme is augmented by the demon's ability to cloud and control minds. Thankfully, their power only works at a certain range, so his influence wanes when he is not near his puppets.
“The real threat though, is that Hans left you alive, and let you return here to Corona, with a purpose. He knows how powerful a sorceress you are. More than that, a certain worm rejoined him in the Atlantic and informed him that while he hadn't seen proof, that you had reportedly become a demi-goddess and more powerful. Hans isn't believing it, but the demon is leaving nothing to chance.
“They are setting a trap for you. They expect you to confront them directly and alone in some kind of foolish bid of honor. He is doing this deliberately so that he can confront you in such a way as to crush you before the eyes of the world, to demonstrate his superiority over you and his divine right to rule,” Odin finished explaining.
“All-Father, then it would seem the best thing is to not confront him alone. Which, as it happens, was never my intent. I have my family, and I would have them stand beside me as we take down Hans for what he has done. This stopped being personal when he cursed Anna and dragged the world into this feud between me and him,” Elsa's tone was thoughtful, but final.
“You show great wisdom Elsa. However, it won't be so simple as facing a lava monster in a cave, or a sea serpent on the waves. That, and not all of your family are up to facing this challenge. You and your wife, congratulations by the way, are both demi-goddess. Rapunzel is a healing sorceress with a frying pan that can send anything that strikes it flying back the way it came.” There was amusement in Odin's voice as he spoke of Rapunzel. “Anna, however, is a mere mortal. No powers, and no great skills. Of your family, I'd consider Rapunzel to be a toss up as to her value in this fight, and Anna would be a liability. You and Moana could do it, but no one else in your family could for sure,” Odin explained.
“All-Father, I disagree on that. Anna could get in trouble, and Hans could try to use her against me, but she has always been a supportive sister for me, and a source of my strength. And Punzzie has already proven herself in Lalotai. If it weren't for her, we'd have never survived the fight with the monkey monsters or Pua,” Elsa countered.
Odin shook his head, “Elsa, I know all that. The problem is they are far less durable than you and Moana. You may not have realized it, but the two of you can take a lot more punishment than normal mortals should be able to. What the two of you could potentially shrug off, would likely cripple or kill the two of them. And Hans and the demon won't hesitate to turn that to their advantage.”
“All-Father...” Elsa began only to have Odin raise a hand to stop her.
“Your loyalty and desire to have them stand by you is admirable, Elsa. However, I am telling you to not take them with you on this! You know he is planning a trap. Think what that would mean, for a moment,” Odin commanded.
“Island Lilly, he is right. He wanted to lure you into a trap where you would face him alone, only he wouldn't be facing you alone. If he is as wicked as it sounds, he'd have hidden minions waiting to aid him in his fight. And you told me what these guns can do. You, me, and Maui might not be enough, but Anna and Punzzie would be killed for sure,” Moana agreed with Odin.
“All-Father, Moana, I hear you, but there must be some way,” Elsa pleaded.
“Elsa, the only thing would be to give them powers and armor, and I spoke at some length to many other gods about this. Tangaroa seems to think that he can just hand out demi-goddess status at his whim, but many of the rest of us disagree. We do think he made good choices with you and Moana, but he has been chastised against doing it again.
“Our reasoning is that the world is fast becoming a technologically advanced place, more so that ever before. Science and reason is beginning to eclipse belief and faith. We already know there will be those who will challenge your rights to play demi-goddesses already in this world. The revolution in France not so long ago was evidence of that. That, of course, does not relieve you of your responsibilities. It would just mean you might have to be a bit more circumspect in them.
“Also, even magical armors we gods can create are useless against modern firearms. And with the weapons that will be coming into play in the next fifty years alone, even more so. So, no, there is nothing we can do to make Rapunzel and Anna your equals in battle,” Odin finished explaining.
Elsa looked sullen and defeated. Moana sensed her wife's obvious distress and hurried over to comfort her. Odin gave a look of sympathy.
“Elsa, if this were the South Pacific, and you were facing a monster of the islands and oceans, then we could grant them temporary boons to face the dangers. This however, is not that case. This is a mortal war, waged with mortal weapons. And sadly, the times have changed so that these days, the creations of mortals are more dangerous than any spell or monster could ever hope to be. The demon and Hans both know they can win with just mortal weapons, and never have to resort to magics,” Odin lamented.
“All-Father, I wish that wasn't true. How I wish it wasn't! But what can be done then?” Elsa lamented back.
“That is actually the reason I am here. I had two reasons for being here. First was to warn you, and the second is to provide you aid. Ironically, we couldn't give Anna or Rapunzel powers to help you, but that doesn't mean we can't help other ways. For example...” Odin waved his hands and two dummies with gleaming armor upon them appeared in the room. “To protect you from the demon's magics and weapons. However, mortal weapons are something you need to take into account as well.”
“I think I know how to handle that, actually,” Elsa mused. “It will require Punzzie and Anna to help, but I think those two can keep any troops with mortal weapons Hans may have thoroughly busy.”
Odin sighed heavily. “You are determined to put your relations in harms way, aren't you?”
“I couldn't stop them from coming if I wanted to, All-Father. They are both stubborn like that,” Elsa smirked.
“Very well. Then here is something for them to use. Be mindful though. They may not necessarily be ready to watch the living dead rise up to smite your enemies. This simple horn, when sounded, will call warriors from the depths of Valhalla to rise and smite your enemies. It is not something we would like you to use except this once, Elsa,” Odin conjured an ivory horn in Elsa's hands.
“Thank you, Odin,” Moana breathed. “Honestly, I was worried about it too, but I know Island Lilly can be a bit stubborn on some things.”
“Indeed, Elsa can be. I have watched her grow from an infant, and the girl was every bit as stubborn as the woman she is today. Now, however, I have done what I set out to do, and I shall leave the two of you to your thoughts, or lack there of soon enough...” Odin's smirk was fully knowing.
Elsa laughed, “Thank you, All-Father!”
With that, Odin vanished in a blinding light and Elsa and Moana were alone again. Elsa gently set the horn on a table and pulled Moana closer and kissed her. “Now where were we?” she purred.
Moana's response was to slip her hand inside Elsa's robe and grope her large breast. “Right about here I think.”
Elsa sighed and smiled. “Damn, I am going to enjoy this one way or another, and so are you!” and with that she pushed Moana back onto the bed.
It didn't take long for Moana to shed her robe and Elsa to do likewise. Elsa was on top of Moana in an instant and sucking on her medium boobs for all they were worth. Moana just sighed heavily and let her wife work. However, Elsa wasn't about to let the brown skinned woman relax, and pulled off her boob and sat up. Moana groaned in frustration as she noted the lack of attention.
Elsa, meanwhile, switched her position so that her sex was directly in front of Moana's face as she buried her own in Moana's hot sex. Moana didn't need any coaxing, and dug in for breakfast on Elsa's steaming hot pussy. The pair licked for all they were worth, and Elsa rewarded Moana with gentle nips at her thighs and nether lips. Moana sighed in bliss as Elsa worked her sensitive spots. Then Elsa slipped a slender digit into Moana's butt hole and Moana screamed into Elsa's pussy as the orgasm shot through her.
Elsa felt Moana spasm beneath her and smiled as she drank deeply of the island woman's juices. Then it was her turn to go over the edge as Moana grabbed her boob roughly and twisted a nipple hard. As Elsa had, Moana drank deeply from her wife and then smiled as she felt Elsa land on top of her, both of them breathing hard. However, Moana wasn't done with Elsa as she had a surprise she had been keeping in reserve for three long years.
Moana wiggled a little out from under Elsa so that she could bend just right and she locked her lips to Elsa's own butt hole. Elsa moaned as Moana began to eat her ass out, her tongue delving deeply into the bright pink sphincter. Elsa squirmed as she felt Moana work, until at last she came, hard, once again. Elsa was breathing hard as she rolled off to the side of Moana and had to take a moment to compose herself.
When she was finally able to sit up, she smiled wickedly at Moana, “You dirty girl! I am going to get you back for that one!”
“Promises, promises, Island Lilly,” Moana purred.
Elsa smiled wickedly and wove magic around her hand and then touched the cold to Moana's breasts, making the nipples shoot up instantly erect. Moana moaned, and Elsa smiled wickedly. “Time for me to have breakfast,” she purred as she leaned in and began sucking on the deep brown tips. Moana squeaked as she felt a sensation she hadn't before as fluids started squirting out of her breasts. She didn't have time to think much about it as Elsa suckled greedily at Moana's breasts. The sensation of the milk flowing was overwhelming to the islander and she simply reached up and held Elsa to her breast to feed. Finally, one breast ran dry and Elsa switched to the other and repeated the assault. She actually felt Moana orgasm three times as she drained the woman of milk.
Finally, she finished, and looked up to see that Moana was blanking out and staring at nothing. Elsa smiled as she knew that Moana was riding the most pleasurable of highs then. She gently eased Moana back down onto the bed and simply lay next to the spent brown woman as she shuddered from the waves of pleasure rolling through her. Finally, Moana blinked hard and rolled over to look Elsa hard in the eye.
“From now on, that is your breakfast, Island Lilly. I have never felt anything like it, and it was so pleasant I didn't want you to stop for anything,” she whispered.
Elsa let out a slight burp and then smiled at her wife, “Deal. You were simply delicious. I could drink that every morning with ease. But I think we need to actually go eat something before too much longer or Anna and Punzzie are going to want answers, though they will regret it. Just remember to brush your teeth, love. I know where that tongue of yours has been,” Elsa giggled.
Moana smiled, and winced at the same time. “Yeah, I am glad you enjoyed that, because I don't think I want to do that too often.”
“Honey, I don't blame you,” Elsa purred.
Both of them got up and went to the bath, where Moana pulled down one of the tooth brushes and pastes to use. She had been instructed on their usage not long after arriving in Corona. She was quick to apply the toothbrush to her teeth and tongue even as Elsa drew a hot bath for the both of them to share. Once Moana was done, she slipped into the bath with Elsa.
Only, Elsa had ulterior motives. A slight application of magic, and she felt her breasts swell with milk. She pulled Moana's now clean mouth down to her boob, and bid her to drink even as they sat in the warm water. Moana smiled and did as bid and drank deeply at Elsa's breast. Elsa cooed softly as she felt the warm milk drain away into her lover's greedy mouth. More than that, she felt the pressure building in her loins and at the base of her spine.
A slight nip from Moana's teeth and Elsa shuddered as the orgasm rippled through her. Moana smiled and kept up the pressure and sucked deeply. Finally, both of Elsa's breasts were dry and she came up to give Elsa a hearty kiss and share the last mouthful of milk. Elsa didn't resist but rather went with it, pulling her wife up against her so that their mutually drained breasts rubbed together. When they pulled apart, Moana smirked at her wife.
“And that is my breakfast from now on, got it?” Moana ordered.
“Mmm, yes mistress. Anything you like,” Elsa purred back still caught in the after glow of the multiple heavy orgasms she had just experienced.
Finally, the pair focused on washing the great sex off and cleaning up. Both of them washed the other's hair, and Moana helped braid Elsa's. When they got out of the tub, Elsa conjured appropriate clothes for the pair to wear and they hurried down to find Anna and Rapunzel waiting for them at the breakfast table.
Anna gave Elsa a sly grin, “You two enjoy yourselves? We could hear the moaning from down the hall as we were getting ready.”
Elsa smiled brightly, “Quite, sister! My wife is quite talented in the bed.”
Anna almost spit out her wine at that, but managed to swallow before hand, “Damn Elsa! I don't remember you being quite that open about that subject before!”
“Well, you asked, and I answered. I have nothing to hide. I love my wife, and we do married couple activities. Simple as that,” Elsa replied in the most queenly of manners.
Rapunzel laughed from the end of the table. “Cousin, I think this new you is just what you needed! Sadly, however, I have to spoil the fun with a bit of business.”
Elsa sobered and looked down the table at Rapunzel. However, if anything was coming, it was interrupted by the large Maui coming down the stairs in his own attire, which definitely did not look all that good on him, but it satisfied the locals enough. Still, he sat heavily at the table and began shoving food in his mouth with gusto.
“So, what was that bit of business that the bottomless demi-god interrupted?” Moana teased Maui.
Maui just glared at Moana and Rapunzel cleared her throat, “Yes, well, it seems that the Germans and the English both put in an appearance. Not as many ships as they could have, but enough that we have all we need to flatten anything Hans has left. And then some.
“Elsa, the last plans are being finalized, and we are readying to go to battle. I plan to be at your side, as does Anna. We'll try to help as much as we can, but my magic heals, and she doesn't have any,” Rapunzel explained.
“Got that covered, though I left it in the room! Be right back!” and Elsa hurried from the table and up to the room to grab the horn. When she came back down, she tossed it to Anna who looked utterly confused.
“We had a small visit from Odin this morning,” Elsa began only to be interrupted by an outburst from Anna.
“Odin All-Father?! You mean you actually spoke to him?!” Anna blurted.
“You kidding me? You got to meet another god in the flesh? And without me?” Maui chimed in without bothering to swallow first.
“If you two will settle down, yes, we did. He wanted to speak to me and Moana in person, I guess. That said, he gave me and Moana some armors and this horn to fight Hans with. Apparently Hans is working with a particularly vicious demon, and while the gods can give us defense against the demon's magic and powers, the armor, they can't shield us from mortal weapons. That is where you bunch come in.
“Anna, Punzzie, I need the two of you to lead our troops into battle against the mortal troops Hans will command. And I need you to make sure any minions he has are too busy dealing with the undead warriors the horn summons to attack either me, Moana, or Maui when we go at Hans. Maui, we need you to stay in reserve in case anything else pops out at us, like another monster or something, or that Hans starts to overwhelm us,” Elsa explained.
“We can do that. You said the horn calls undead?” Anna asked as she examined the intricate scroll work in the ivory.
“More specifically, it calls forth long dead warriors from the Halls of Valhalla,” Elsa explained further.
“Wow. And Odin just gave this to you?” Rapunzel asked.
“Not exactly. I kinda made it clear that I wasn't going to leave the two of you here, Punzie, and he kinda kept trying to get me to. However, he finally realized I wasn't going to relent, and gave me the horn to try and keep the two of you safer,” Elsa admitted.
“Yeah, Island Lilly out-stubborned a god...” Moana muttered.
“Moana, I believe it. Elsa is the most stubborn person I know when she digs her heels in,” Anna mused with wry amusement.
“Hey! I am not the only one with that problem!” Elsa shot back.
The breakfast continued pleasantly for some time.
Hans stood before a mirror examining his appearance. He liked the royal attire of Arendelle, and he thought it fit him well. He smiled wickedly, though it disappeared in a sudden moment as his reflection came alive and glared at him.
“Do not think so lightly of the situation! You have lost our puppet! More than that, our ships failed to kill them on the sea! And now your own alliance turns against you!” his reflection growled at him.
“Don't worry so much Draxiloth! All is in hand. Arendelle's island is a fortress just by dent of the terrain. She has to come down the fjord to get to us, and you and I both know what kind of defenses are here! She'll lose most of her ships and be forced to retreat! Face it, we won, and she can't change that!” Hans said brightly.
“No, idiot! We have not! Not until Elsa and Anna are dead! There was no way we could have stopped them in that under ocean place. And the failure of our ships means that she can come back. And despite your deception, cunning though it was, the citizens of Arendelle, including those soldiers you are counting on, are still fanatically loyal to Elsa! Maybe not Anna, but Elsa for sure! They accepted your rule only because they don't know where Elsa is. The moment she turns up, they will turn on you so fast it won't be funny! They remember what you did at her coronation!” Draxiloth warned from the mirror.
“Nonsense. Maybe there is still some lingering fondness for Elsa, but she has been missing for three years. Three years where Queen Regent Anna did serious damage to the family reputation. And I have replaced most of those same soldiers with my own. This quiet little village wouldn't dare go against me!” Hans boasted.
“And if Elsa turns the whole of the fjord to ice and her soldiers simply charge across it? What then? Sea cannons aren't that great against targets like men. And good luck hitting her! You remember how she handled two attackers in that ice palace. And she wasn't expecting that!” Draxiloth countered.
“That is what our soldiers are for. Face it, she will likely expose herself too soon and we'll have the upper hand. There is no way she knows about you, and the power we wield now. Sure, she might have help from that island savage of hers, or that big man we got reports of, but she is far from an immortal demi-goddess that Horace claims she is now. All it will take is one bullet and she is gone forever,” Hans declared to his image.
“Bold claims. But what if she is a demi-goddess, with all new powers in addition to her ice magic? Or if the gods, who are my enemies, decided to help her? What then, Hans?” Draxiloth demanded hotly.
“Again, a single bullet, and we have our elite forces who will be backing us up. To say nothing of your pets,” Hans countered again.
“You underestimate your enemy to your peril, foolish mortal. Better to overestimate and over compensate than to underestimate and be conquered,” Draxiloth warned again.
“Again, you worry too much. The bitches will be here, and we will squash them, along with the fleets of multiple nation's navies! And who knows, we might even get Anna and Rapunzel out of the deal if we are lucky! Three bitches for the price of one!” Hans laughed.
“You are foolish. And your confidence had best not be overconfidence. Your soul rides on this,” Draxiloth warned again and then disappeared again, leaving only Hans' reflection in the mirror.
