Chapter 3: The Diamond Authority's End
7, June 2017 AD, 16.21 PM (Homeworld's time)
In the Emperor's throne room.
Yellow Diamond becomes angry that they arrested her agent "What is a meaning of this! why do you keep my lost agent as a hostage". Yellow Diamond increased tone to Emperor.
Carnelian looked at her and narrowed his eyes "Just for safety, I don't believe she five years was on Earth and didn't die by the hands of the rebels."
"But my Lord, I finished my job unlike Jasper" Peridot tried to justify herself.
"Silence!" Carnelian screamed at her "With you...we'll talk, but until then…keep your mouth shut."
White diamond looked at Peridot with pity on her face. Peridot is covered in scratches, bruises and heavy injuries on her body. She probably was tortured before she arrived.
"And how could she reach us? Earth is far away from us" White asks Carnelian.
"One of our scout ships was patrolling the Sol system and intercepted her distress call." General Cato said as he approached Diamonds behind them
"And this ship could quietly land on the planet and get her." Yellow smirks at her uncle "What next? Rose became stupid and wanted to play chess games with humans?" Yellow asks him with disbelief on her tone, adding a sarcastic bad joke.
General Cato chuckled "Celiana, don't forget about our superiority. This ship has a unique camouflage system. No one will notice our presence in hostile planets."
"And what a disappointment, Yellow Diamond. You again have not coped with the simple task that Homeworld gave you...what a shame. Your father would be very angry" Carnelian said as he got up from his throne and approached to Diamonds. Definitely, he is grinding behind that mask.
"Are you playing with us?" Blue asks him quickly, trying to be menacing as possible.
"What are you talking about?" Carnelian fakes his surprised tone.
"I know your motives, "Emperor" Hein Carnelian Serdolik. You use us as puppets with your own games. You think the Authority doesn't know about it?" Black Diamond hissed
Carnelian smirked "I'm surprised. For the first time after Aura Quartz...Someone called me by my name...haven't heard this name for a long time." He whispered last words. "And besides" He continues "Pre-Previous Diamonds who revolt against me are long ago dead. If I wanted the collapse of Authority, I long ago would have killed you. But you're standing right in front of me, isn't it true? He made one step forward to them.
"You forgot our agreement, do you? I still can easily banish you from the Homeworld. Nobody can help you this time, Carnelian. Black Diamond growled.
Carnelian rolled his eyes "I didn't forget... but enough nonsense between you and me. We have a lovely guest from Earth..and I hope she will tell how humans are doing."
He approached Peridot and stood on his knees in front of her. "Isn't it right, Peridot?" He smiled underneath his mask.
Peridot looked at him "You know, I have one piece of advice against humans. They love to kill Gems like you!" She shouted at him.
Royal Guard about to prepare their weapons. But Carnelian ordered to stand down by showing them his hand. He smiled at her. "You always stubborn Peridot, this makes you stronger but not smarter. It not very wise to INSULT your leader"
"I barely know you. Besides. Diamond Authority is my true leaders."
"Does the word "Emperor" meaning anything to you, you little dipshit?" Carnelian angers his tone.
"I swore to the Authority, you dipshit back...And besides. They did a lot more than you ever did, glory to the Authority!"
This is where Carnelian snaps. He got up on his feet and starts making circles around Peridot.
"No Peridot... They are not. If have to tell them to bow...they will. If I have to tell to them kill each other...they certainly will. And if I tell to suffer...THEY WILL!" On this note. He summoned a magical hand claw and stabbed right into Peridot's right shoulder. She was screaming like a maniac and could not hold back her tears.
"HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT, YOU CLOD!" He pushed his claw deeper into her flesh wound.
"Emperor Carnelian! Let her go...NOW!" Black Diamond ordered him as he pulled out his sword and pointed at masked Gem."
He looked at Black Diamond, then to Peridot. He quickly and painfully pulled his hand claw out of Peridot's shoulder. "As you wish." He said as he made three steps backward away from Peridot.
"But next time" Carnelian adds "I will cut your legs off and limb enhancers won't help you Peridot."
"Over my shatter gemstone, Carnelian." Black hissed to him.
Carnelian feels the anger spreading throughout his body. He closed his eyes and uttered strange words. While he doing this, White Diamond ran up to Peridot to check her gem viability, not deadly but still serious.
"You Monster! She already suffered a lot and you still make her life even worse. How dare you treat your own subject's like that!"
Her words draw attention to Carnelian. "That's what a real leader will do. He or she will keep his or her people under control. It's you who can't handle a real power. Your court was even bad during your father's time of being White Diamond. White Pearl escaped because of him.
White Diamond shed a tear as he reminded her of White Pearls existence. White Pearl...and her lovely face that she always liked it. She met her when she was younger. After so many years, she still regrets losing her. She considered White Pearl like a second mother to her.
"It previous White Diamond's problems. I can't change that and never will."
Her words made Carnelian even more calmed. "I see that you have passivity in your heart. Homeworld needs Diamonds like you, White."
"Maybe it's stupid, but I rather use my words rather than charging an enemy without a reason." White comments
"You reminds me of Golden Diamond. If she was alive. You both probably would have interesting conversations." Carnelian smirked
White blushed little bit by his words. "Thank you...my lord."
Carnelian nodded to her. He left to talk with other Diamonds.
Meanwhile: White Diamond proceeded to check Peridot's wounds. "How are you holding up, Peridot?" White asks her with sweet tone
Peridot is a little bit surprised the ways she speaks to her. but her strong pain changed her thoughts.
"Everything hurts so badly, my Diamond" She weakly said.
"Let' see" White checks her wounds. Then she touched her right leg. Peridot screamed again.
White finished examining Peridot's body "Well. The good news, it's not serious damages."
"What about the bad news, my Diamond?"
"Your bones are too damaged to function properly, you probably won't walk for about one or two weeks, even with your limb enchanters." She took from her pocket a small bottle with a liquid and gave it to Peridot.
"Here...drink it." She hands it to Peridot
"What is that?" Peridot raised her eyebrows.
"A Healing portion...it boosts your gem viability so that you won't be glitching out"
Peridot smells the smell and drinks that thing. She feels a little bit wooziness.
"GROSS...where did you buy it...my Diamond?"
White Diamond smiled and whispered to her.
"Black market." She winked at her. Peridot can't hold a smile on her face.
As White Diamond continues treating Peridot's wounds. One of the Royal guards approaches to Carnelian...with a picture. "My lord, we searched her private locker and the only evidence of her being "Crystal Gem" is a picture."
"A what?" Carnelian asks him again.
Without any single words. Royal guard handed a picture to Carnelian. He quickly started observing it...ten seconds went by. He looked for Peridot with the cold stare.
"You are big...stupid...Gem, Peridot! you think I wouldn't notice?" He exclaimed at her.
He then furiously began to approach her. But he was stopped by a White diamond. "Let her rest for a little bit, and then we interrogate the civilized way."
"No one asks your damn opinion White Diamond, Step aside...This is for our safety" Carnelian hissed at her.
White Diamond sighed and steps aside to allow her leader to comfort Peridot. "Smart move," He said to her.
He then drew his attention to Peridot "Now Peridot...if you tell me about them, I will spare you...and even restore your title as a technician."
Peridot closed her eyes and whispered to herself. "Damn Earthlings and their influential culture " She cursed.
Then Peridot looked at the rest of Diamonds with shame on her face. "They... they are last Crystal Clods of Rose Quartz herself."
"Tell me names of these Gems," Carnelian asks her.
"Amethyst, Garnet...a fusion of Ruby and Sapphire...and White Pearl."
White Diamond slightly widened her eyes "White Pearl? How did- "
The masked Gem just shushed her off and continued with his questions. He looked at the picture again and noticed a short, fat human smiling brightly on the picture. "What about that fat...short human?"
When Peridot heard this words. It made her angry. "Don't you dare to call him like that!" She exclaimed
This made Carnelian smile at her. "Looks like you have some feelings for him."
"No, I don't" She blushed.
"Oh, the Creator. Our best technician is in love with the human. We have human philia in our Empire...disgusting" Obsidian exclaimed behind them.
"How many times do I need to tell you, We don't!" Peridot shouted at everyone.
"Enough both you. Peridot, are you going to tell me about that human or not?" Carnelian politely asked her
Peridot decided to stay silent on this question.
Carnelian blinked twice "Fine...Humans are too weak to fight us, we shouldn't worry about him. But I am most concerned about Rose Quartz"
"She's gone," Peridot said without any emotions.
"What do you mean "She's gone?" Yellow asks her.
"She is dead or shattered...don't know how to say it properly."
All Diamonds gasped. Their number one enemy is dead? How could this happen? And how they blew such an event? Even the Emperor closed his eyes. He sat down on the floor next to her and looked at her with a sad expression. She sees his eyes that looking at her through his mask. "When and how did it happen?" He quietly said.
That statement made her uncomfortable. "Sixteen or twenty years ago. She sacrificed her life so that her son could live...or something."
"Oh, Rose" Carnelian quietly said to himself.
He looked at Peridot again "How do you know all about this?" He asked her.
"I was told" She even didn't change the angle of her eyes direction.
"By Crystal Gems?" He asks more threateningly
"Yes...m-my lord."
"And they...they spared you?"
"Not only... They offered me to become one of them. I agreed, but..." She raised her head to look at him. "I didn't forget who I 'actually really serve. I serve only to my homeland and...and to my leader and leaders."
Blue diamond smiled at her comment about the service. But Carnelian obviously not. He probably suspects her... and he's right. Peridot was lying about the only account of the service it's an Empire. She doesn't want put her friends in danger. She is willing to help them any minute, but when her help depends on her future, she's not sure whose side she's on.
"What about Jasper's fate?" Yellow asks her, putting her hands on her hips.
"MIA...or maybe KIA" Peridot calmy replies
"Do you remember anything about her?"
"I-I remember that she fused with...Lapis Lazuli. They formed Malachite...and..." she paused. "All I know is that they defeated her and that…..she is still somewhere on Earth."
Blue Diamond crossed his arms "Lazuli? A name that I haven't heard for a long time" He said aloud
"You knew her?" White asks him.
Blue closed his eyes "She was supposed to be a deadly weapon. The previous Diamond Authority had a plan to flood the whole planet"
White raised her eyebrows in curiosity "But?"
"I-I really don't want talk about that."
Once they were done. Carnelian stood up on his feet.
"Thank you for information, Peridot," He said to her "You two!" He shouted to Quartz soldiers who are guarding the exit.
"My lord?"
"Spread the news of Rose Quartz's death to high command personal."
"Yes, sir!" Both soldiers saluted and ran out from the throne room.
"Obsidian!" Carnelian exclaimed very quickly
"My lord?" He replied, nearly loosing his foot balance.
"Release her...she proved her loyalty to me."
"As you wish my lord." He walked to her and pressed the button which is responsible for the removal of an electric bell. Peridot's hands are free from that thing.
"You may go now Peridot. Your new commander will be General Cato."
"Thank you, my lord." Peridot saluted to him.
"But remember...If I ever see you in handcuffs-"
"It won't happen, my lord, She stood up. "I swe-AAAAAAAAAHH" she made one step and her bone snapped. She feels on the floor with a big scream. She tried to stand but fell and heard her leg bone snapped again.
"I told you Peridot!" White Diamond shouted.
Carnelian cringed by her scream "I don't need this. General, take her to the nearest surgery center. I want her with the fixed leg."
General Cato saluted him "Understood my lord."
he lifted her up and proceed to exit with her in his arms. As they left the Royal Palace, Peridot asked him a question.
"Soooo...What my new orders, General?"
General Cato chuckled "Fix your damn leg... that's your order."
"GENERAL!" He heard the shout from the distance.
General Cato sighed "Not again." He exclaimed to himself.
One of the soldiers of The Redstone's Elite Division runs up to him. He's wearing a black armor with a red pattern on his chest and helmet with a mask and visor that covers his face. He also carrying "Vindicator combat rifle".
"Sir...I finally reached you. I was assigned to be part of your new division... oh I'm sorry." He forgets to salute him. "Sir" He added.
General Cato raised his eyebrow "Your ID number and rank please."
"Class "Gemdler" Facet 37FGTR7 Cut 66A. Served as the infantry of Grand army of Gem Empire."
"What's your name soldier?"
"Corporal First class "Gray" sir. That's my nickname...at least"
"Alright, Gray. Come with us. We must deliver her to the surgery center."
Gray raised his eyebrow "What happened to her?"
"She-"
"Just tripped!" She interrupted him.
"Tripped?" Gray asks
"Yeah you know. Everything can happen to anybody."
"Well yeah but-"
"Could you please start to move. My leg is feeling not okay." Peridot hissed
"She is right. Come on Corporal." Cato moved forward to Gray.
Gray saluted "Sir, yes sir."
Back again In the Emperor's throne room.
Emperor keeps staring a Peridot's picture of her and Crystal Gems. That boy is bothering him...something is not right about him.
"Is it something bothering you, my lord?" Obsidian approached to him.
"Yes...look at this young man." He pointed to short human
"Well...He definitely has eyes of leader...but he looks immature." Obsidian comments
"I-I sense a great power in him. I fell that...this human is able to defeat us.
Carnelian notices his Gemstone on his belly. This is where...a big revelation begins for him.
"Wait a second!" Carnelian says aloud
"What?" Blue Diamond approached to Carnelian.
Carnelian reached for his pocket and get a photograph. In this picture: A younger Rose Quartz is graduating after she became Pink Diamond. Her Gemstone is visible to him. He compared boys' Gemstone and Rose Quartz's
"Remember what Peridot said, Rose Quartz sacrificed her own life for her future son?" Carnelian looks at Blue Diamond
"Yeah...and?"
Carnelian rolled his eyes "Listen to my words closely... Rose Quartz sacrificed her own life for her son. That boy is a Crystal Gem. Rose Quartz created the Crystal Gems and that means...
"Are you saying that he...OH NO! This is impossible!" Blue becomes worried
"YES! BLUE DIAMOND! HE IS A SON OF ROSE QUARTZ!" He screamed at him
All Diamonds started whispering to each other. Carnelian looked at the picture of a boy. He tore a little bit. "So it's true then." He whispered to himself. A small tear trails down to his cheek. He is not tearing because of sadness. Because he is happy again. Carnelian put both pictures inside his pocket and double speed his walk to the exit
"Where you think you going?" Blue Diamond bawled at Carnelian.
Carnelian turns around to Blue Diamond "Me and Colonel Redstone will bring this boy to Homeworld"
"The Diamond Authority will handle this!" Blue confidently said at him.
"NO! you already disappoint me many times." Carnelian grumbled back.
"Then I will catch him without you and we'll see who is a true leader." Blue threaten him.
"Is that a revolt?"
"Yes" Blue snaps
All Diamonds looked at each other with a worried face. What Blue Diamond is doing?
Carnelian smiled "Then I have an offer to you if you will bring that boy first to Homeworld. I will abandon the throne and leave the Empire forever. If I...Then Diamond Authority will be disbanded."
Yellow about to say but Blue interrupted her "We have a deal." Blue hissed
White Diamond looked at Blue with anger on her "You can't be serious!"
Carnelian evilly smiled under his mask "Good, now Get out of my sight."
All Diamond's stormed out from the throne room, the Emperor walked over to a huge window and looked at the tower of the Diamonds. "Goodbye Diamond Authority...No one of you will be missed."
Outside the imperial Palace
Blue Diamond reached the outside first. He uses Gem-boy. "Commander. Prepare our ship for departing...and send a pick-up transport to my location." Blue Diamond ordered.
"Yes sir" his Commander answered before Blue ended the communication. He turned around to Diamonds when he heard their footsteps sounds.

"What are the meaning of this Blue...You doomed us...not only me...but the rest of Diamonds." White shouted at him
"I'm sick of his manipulating on us. We are Diamond Authority! OUR FATHERS AND MOTHERS GIVES US FULL GLORY" He exclaimed loud at his Diamond "brothers" and "sisters".
"You becoming like Orange Diamond and Aura Quartz, boy. Your anger messes with you" Black Diamond coldly said.
"He is right. You becoming like her. This Empire is already becoming absolute monarchy dictatorship and you even don't have the plan to capture that boy!" Yellow screamed at him.
"I don't care about your opinion! I can still save our Empire...and I have a plan...just trust me."
"You loosen your mind didn't you?" Yellow hissed
"You know what? I just realized that I don't care. If you don't want to fight...then I will... It's all of your faults. You let that masked Gem to have a final revenge on us." He tried to leave but White Diamond angrily grabbed his hand.
"You are not going anywhere, mister!" White threatened him
Blue Diamond pulled his Gemstol from his robe and aimed at her. "MAKE ME, I dare you!"
She slowly released him. What happened to you Blue... remember how you comfort me in the hall ...with that sweet voice... Blue, after that my heart is melted. It's hard for me to say it...I-I love you. Please come back to us and be same old Blue Diamond we know and love...Please come back …for me at least.
Blue Diamond closed his eyes as his personal guards approached him, "I'm sorry." He coldly said
He pulled the trigger and shot White Diamond's leg. She fell down instantly and began to cry from the pain. Blue Diamond's guards aimed for the rest of the Diamonds. Then one of the Blue Diamond's personal ships landed behind him.
"Once I will return with a Rose Quartz's son. I will make sure three of you will be executed. After this...I will lead this nation to glory."
Then he and his soldiers entered the ship. It lifts up and flew to orbit. Once it's down. Yellow Diamond stood on her knees and checks her.
"You okay White Diamond?"
White Diamond looked at her while still sobbing. "OF COURSE NOT!" She cries out
Black Diamond looked at the sky. "We failed our people. The once Great Diamond Authority has it final peak. May the Creators have a mercy to us." Both the Yellow diamond and Black Diamond placed their right hands on their chest. They then looked at the sky.
Meanwhile, Carnelian is watching them from the window. All of this situation reminds him how he experienced the revolution. Obsidian walked over to their leader. He cleared his throat and began to speak "My lord?"
"Hm?" Carnelian didn't bother to look at his own advisor.
"Colonel Redstone is available right know, my lord" Obsidian salutes.
"Thank you, Advisor. You may have a rest for while."
His Advisor bowed to him and left his throne room. Emperor Carnelian approached and opened his console. On his screen appears Grand Colonel Restone. Redstone looks intimidating. His armor and helmet made entirely in chrome. His helmet covers his face, leaving not big right eyehole for him to see.

"Redstone." Carnelian crossed his arms
"My lord. It's been while since we talked"
"I suspect that you heard the news?"
"Yes my lord. What's our plan?"
"Prepare your Dreadnought, your army and send the course to Earth, you and I will find that boy."
"Earth?" Redstone whispered to himself as he reminded himself about that Planet "Are you going to kill that boy?"
"No..." Carnelian coldly says
He turned his back and walked towards the exit, But stopped before exiting. "He needs to know the truth about me and Rose Quartz" He whispered
