What happens when Aang actually fails and the Fire lord succeeds at his plans?
Who will be the worlds last hope at stopping the Fire lord? Or is there anyone at all?
Rated T for now but will later on be rated M for the content that I don’t wish to reveal as I don’t what to spoil it J
Please be kind at rating and commenting as this is my first story.
This chapter has 3 parts so far XD I had to split them up because it became over 25 pages long…but be sure to read all parts as it is worth it I believe. XD especially the second part. XD I came to bit of a writer’s block on part 3 but I’m working on it and chapter 5. After this I’m putting the romance to the side for awhile and going back to action. J

Chapter Four: Zuko’s Love Part One
Sokka walked mournfully as the others followed him. Katara looked up, and noticed the full moon. She could feel its power filling her, but she felt numb to it. Toph perked up as she felt someone coming closer to them.
“Sparky is coming.” Toph pointed to the direction that Zuko was coming from. They all turned, to the direction Toph pointed in and began to walk towards Zuko.
“Well, did your uncle know where the girl is that we are looking for?” Sokka questioned.
Zuko nodded. “She is here in Ba Sing Se, helping my uncle.”
“Is she going to help us?” Katara asked, almost pleading.
“Yeah, she has agreed to take my father down, but she needs time. She has a lot of training to do, in order to master the other elements.”
“The question is, after she has mastered the other elements, will she be strong enough?” Toph put her head down, as she thought back to Aang.
“She has already faced my father once, and it was during the comet and she was able to stand her ground, but she wasn’t able to over come him.”
Zuko listened to them gasp at his statement. He always knew Lynn was a powerful water bender, but listening to her yesterday, shocked him as well. He couldn’t imagine how powerful she would be after she mastered the other elements.
“We should head to the middle where everyone else is, and camp for the night.” The others followed Zuko as he lead the way.
They soon reached the middle, and Iroh offered for them to stay in a hut that had been abandon sometime during the comet. They of course accepted and thanked Iroh for his kindness. Zuko emerged from the hut and began walking over to his uncle’s tent. He quietly entered.
“Uncle” Zuko whispered. Zuko noticed that he was preparing for bed.
“What is my nephew?”
“I was wondering where I could find Lynn? She doesn’t seem to be in the healing tents.”
“Well that is a relief to hear. She has been healing for two days straight since the comet.”
Zuko was silent. He knew Lynn loved to help others, but not getting any rest was pushing it. Iroh noticed his nephew silence.
“I think you will be able to find her at a fountain that is a few streets over. I think it is where you took Jin on a date.” Iroh smiled, as he watched his nephew blush slightly.
Zuko thanked his uncle and dismissed himself from the tent. He began to make his way through the silent streets. He had never known Ba Sing Se to be so quiet. He arrived at the fountain, and saw Lynn standing in the fountain, practicing her form. He noticed that she must have lit the lanterns with her fire bending.
“She’s so beautiful.” Zuko smiled as the lanterns reflected in the water and in turn made her glow with the fire and the moonlight. Zuko decided to approach Lynn, but wasn’t for sure what to really say.
Zuko cleared his throat, and Lynn turned to face him. She blushed.
“You know, you should really get some rest.” Zuko sat down at the edge close to Lynn.
Lynn let the water fall back into the fountain and stepped out and bent all the water out of her lower potion of her robe. She then sat next to Zuko.
“The full moon begs to differ.”
“Katara seems to sleep fine during the full moon.” Zuko noted and Lynn turned around with her eye brows raised at Zuko.
“And who is Katara?” A sly smile began to come across her face, but the sparkle leaving her eyes.
Zuko blushed as he didn’t expect her to ask a question in that way holding his hands up shaking his head. “Uh…Its not what you think…she’s just a friend…and she’s a water bender like you.”
Lynn slightly laughed. “Friend huh?”
“Yes, just a friend.”
Lynn slightly squinted her eyes at Zuko and dismissed his comment. “If you say so.”
Zuko felt slightly uncomfortable as he definitely didn’t want Lynn to think he had a crush on Katara.
Lynn continued to look at Zuko, and she noticed a lash across his scar. She knew it was new. She reached up to touch his face.
“Who did this to you?” Lynn began to study it and knew it either had to be a whip, or water used as a whip.
Zuko turned slightly. “Its nothing.”
Lynn motioned for the water to come up out of the fountain and envelope her hands.
“Let me heal it for you.”
Zuko knew that she would protest if he turned her down and brought his face closer to her hands. He felt the coolness of her water began to heal him, and her hands was still soft like they was last time.
As Lynn healed him, she began to have images flash in her head. She try to force them out, as this always happened to her when the moon was completely full. She was very thankful that the past two nights it was completely full yet, as it would have drove her insane trying to heal everyone.
“Katara I never said anything like that!”
Katara formed the water whip in her hand and quickly brought it down across Zuko’s face.
Lynn winced and jumped slightly and opened her eyes and noticed she almost had Zuko completely healed. Her hands stop glowing and she let the water fall into the fountain. Zuko turned to face her.
“What happened?”
“It always happens at night during the full moon when I heal someone. I can see the persons memories connected to the injury.” Lynn paused. “I’m the only water bender that it happens to as far as I am aware.”
Zuko put his hand to his face, and could no longer feel where Katara whipped him. Zuko felt his scar start to burn again on his stomach and winced slightly.
Lynn noticed Zuko wince at something but wasn’t for sure. “What’s wrong, Zuko?”
“It’s nothing. Just my scar on my stomach from where Azula struck me with lightning.”
Lynn gasped. “Lay down and let me heal it!”
Zuko felt slightly nervous. He didn’t really want anything flashing into Lynn’s mind from his memories.
“It’s fine.”
“Zuko, no its not! Not if it is still bothering you! Did someone heal you?”
“Katara did after it happened.”
Lynn’s nose crinkled slightly. “Well, I think I should take a look.” Lynn stood and motioned for Zuko to lay down on the edge of the fountain. He saw there was no way getting out of it and complied with Lynn.
Lynn had already had the water around her hands kneeling to Zuko‘s side, and began to put her hands to Zuko stomach. Zuko slightly shifted, as he never had Lynn touch him there before.
“There is a lot of damage still.” Lynn moved her hands as she continued to inspect the injury. “I should be able to repair everything, and quite possibly make the scar go away on your stomach, since it is still fresh.”
Zuko nodded and gave her the go ahead.
Lynn closed her eyes and her hand began to glow an intense white. Lynn could feel all the memories Zuko had flush over her.
“I’m sorry it has to end this way brother.”
“No your not.”
Lynn tried to push them away.
“No lightning today? What’s the matter? Afraid I’ll redirect it?”
“Oh! I’ll show you lightning!”
Azula moved her arms about in a circular motion, creating the electric charge to shoot at Zuko.
Lynn took a deep breath and intensified the healing, going deeper into his injury, healing all the scar tissue and the damage organs.
Zuko’s eyes widen as he realized that Azula sent the lightning to Katara. Zuko ran to the front of the charge.
“No!” He reached out to the charge.
Lynn reframed from jumping, she could almost feel the lightning that struck Zuko, strike her.
Zuko closed his eyes in pain, as he could feel it go all through his body. He brought his hands to his stomach as he landed hard on the ground. He could feel the lightning escape though his right arm. He winced in pain as not all of the charge didn’t leave him. He could feel it still coarse throughout his veins.
“Ohn.”
Zuko turned onto his back. He could hear Katara call out his name, but was stop short as Azula restlessly began to attack her.
“Katara.” He reached out, but another shock wave was sent through him. He knew he couldn’t do anything to help or save Katara. He felt guilt wash over him as it was his fault.
He let out another cry as another shock wave went through his body. He heard Azula yell something at him, but he couldn’t make out.
“This is the end.” Zuko felt more guilt wash over him. “I never got to tell her, how I really felt about her.” Zuko felt his heart sink. He didn’t want it to end this way.
Lynn opened her eyes, and looked down at Zuko. She continued to move her hands about, finishing the process.
Zuko never felt better. He could feel Lynn’s water all over him, healing every bit of him and just not the damage in his stomach. He felt nervous too as Lynn might have discovered his secret, without him expressing it the way he wanted too.
Lynn began to lift her water from Zuko and concentrated on the scar left on his stomach. Zuko opened his eyes as he knew Lynn was almost done.
She lifted her hands. “Your all heal. I was able to take your scar away as well.”
Zuko sat up and put his hand on his stomach. He felt his nervousness rise as he turned and looked at Lynn, who was standing up looking down at Zuko.
“How do you feel?”
“Thank you, for healing me.” Zuko gazed up at Lynn with many questions. “So…Uhh….I guess you saw everything.”
Lynn smiled at Zuko. “I think it was brave and sweet that you jumped out in front of Azula’s attack like that.” Lynn felt slight jealously tug at her but pushed it away, as it wasn’t her style.
Zuko stood and looked down at Lynn.
“Lynn…I…”
“I know, I know. You have a thing for Katara.” She shrugged. “I promise, your secret is safe with me.”
“I don’t have a THING for Katara...I” Zuko stopped himself and thought for a moment. “I think of her as a friend.” Zuko moved closer to Lynn. He looked down at Lynn, and noticed the moonlight was outlining her face, and it shined through her eyes. Zuko smiled and moved his hand to her face, to cup her cheek.
“Thank you Lynn, for healing me. I couldn’t thank you enough.”
Lynn slight bowed and took a small step back.
“I think I will take your advice, and go get some rest. Healing your scar that Azula gave to you, took everything out of me.”
She looked up at Zuko and smiled, and began to walk away.
Zuko watched her sway as she walked. He looked down in defeat.
“I should have told her.”
Zuko walked towards the hut that they was staying in. He was careful to not disturb the others who were peacefully sleeping. It was difficult to see, but he managed to find his pad and he laid down, staring at the ceiling.
“She is all I ever think about. Her smile, her laughter, her touch, her voice. I risk everything of what little I had left to let her go…I‘ve faced my father, fought with Azula and I still can‘t tell her how I feel.” Zuko turned to his side, deep in thought.
*Flash back*
“If you speak a word of this to anyone, or let it get to my father, I will see to it myself that you are taken care of!”
“Prince Zuko, you simply just can’t let her go! She is a threat to the Fire Nation.”
“She’s not the Avatar.”
The soldier bowed before the Prince and excused himself.
Prince Zuko squinted his eyes, as he watched the soldier leave from his presence. He grabbed his swords, and flung them across his back and decided to follow him. He walked quietly behind him, and noticed that he didn’t take the turn to go to the assigned quarters. Zuko quickly realized where he was going and decided to make a move. He quickly unsheathed his swords and before the soldier could turn around Zuko had them both to his throat.
“And where do you think you are going?”
He remained quiet.
“Answer me.” Zuko brought the swords closer to his throat.
Still no answer and with that Prince Zuko threw him into the wall. Zuko began approaching him. He heard a door opened to see Lynn standing in the door way looking around and then looked down at the soldier that he threw to the ground. He quickly stood up and grabbed Lynn by her hair and pulled her into a head lock, and pulled a dagger and held it to her throat. Lynn began to struggle.
“Make one move, or attempt to bend anything and as you take me down I will slit your throat.”
The prince stood there and watched.
“Let her go.”
“How foolish do you take me to be prince? You are already a traitor, and here you are, out here trying to regain it back and you have your chance, but yet you are going to do more treasoness things and just let her go? Well, I think the Fire Lord will give me quite reward me for my efforts of turning her in.”
“How do you plan to get her off the ship?”
“If you don’t let me escape, I will slit her throat. Dead or alive doesn’t matter to me.”
“If your going to do it, just do it.”
Lynn looked at the prince and back up at the man. The man stood confused and complex. It wasn’t something he expect the prince to say to him, since he was going through efforts as to make sure she was comfortable and was going to release her. Lynn felt the man’s grip loosen on her and she took it as a chance but to no avail, he tighten his grip on her again.
“I told you what would happen.” The man brought his knife to her throat and began to trace it around barely puncturing the skin.
“Ah!” Lynn whimpered.
The man brought the knife up and planned to jam it into the side of her throat. Lynn began to struggle again trying to free herself. Prince Zuko saw he had all his attention on Lynn and took it as an opportunity to strike. He moved quickly, throwing all his weight into the man knocking him down and sitting Lynn free. The prince quickly stood up and brought his swords to the soldier’s throat.
“You should never let your guard down.”
Lynn sat against the wall with her eyes open in shock.
“Lynn, go heal yourself and go find my Uncle.”
Lynn looked at the prince who still had all his focus on the man that tried to kill her, and got up quickly and ran out while putting her hand over her wound.
“Let’s see how you like, getting a slice across your throat.”
Zuko began tracing his swords across the man’s throat. He could fell all his anger about to explode. Someone threaten him and his chance of his honor. He couldn’t allow something like this to escape from the ship. He was the only one that knew among the crew that Lynn could bend all the other elements. To everyone else she was just a water bender. The prince then applied pressure against the man’s throat bringing blood.
“Maybe next time you should think about it before you turn on me.” Zuko turned quickly but took a step back thrusting his blades into the man. He then pulled them out and walked away and shut the door behind him. Zuko looked around for some guards, but didn’t see any. He began to walk down the hall ways and got up on deck and saw couple. He demanded them to get below deck and clean up the mess, that the man tried to kill him. He could hear footsteps coming up behind him and knew it was his uncle. Zuko stood in the moonlight, holding his swords to his sides.
“Prince Zuko.” Iroh got closer to him. “Lynn told me that someone tried to kill her, and that you sent her to fetch me.”
“Yes.”
He knew that his uncle was looking at the swords and that he noticed the blood.
“Tell me what happened.”
He stood there silent.
*End of flash back*
Zuko turned to his side. That was the first person he ever killed. He still had no regrets about it. He understood why he actually lashed out the soldier now, but then he was still confused about it all. Even though he loved Lynn, he didn’t love her back when he first found her, but he still deeply cared about her. She was the first person other than his uncle that showed compassioned and healed his scarred. The first person that didn’t show fear, but instead respected him, even though he was a banished prince.
