Two Hours Earlier . . .
Janine awoke with a start. She sat up slowly and looked around, trying to gauge her whereabouts. Finally, she figured out that she was in the bunkroom, and in Egon’s bed of all places! She was wearing a man’s t-shirt and her bra and panties, but nothing more.

She smiled blissfully. “Hmm. Looks like somebody got lucky!” She pouted a little. “Wish I remembered it. Oh well, when you can’t remember your memories, just go make some new ones!” She got up and walked over to the firepole. She was about to slide down when she looked down and saw all the party attendees below her on the first floor. She decided to take the back spiral staircase instead. She grabbed the blanket off his bed and slipped down the stairs, looking for Egon. She didn’t see him. She wrapped the blanket around herself and went toward the basement stairs. She figured he’d probably gotten sick of the noise and decadence and escaped to his basement lab. She went downstairs to the basement, but Egon wasn’t there. It was quiet though, and her little trek had made her tired again. So she went inside and closed the door. The hum of the containment unit was very inviting and she walked over to it. She noticed a little alcove in the wall by the left side of the big storage machine. She spread the blanket out on the floor and laid down on it. She wrapped the blanket around herself like a sleeping bag and drifted to sleep.
