The cab ride back was somber and depressing. Lamar had given up on trying to make pleasant conversation and focused on driving the car. Ladybug was cuddled up with Viperion trying to rest along the way. Master Fu was quietly chanting in a foreign language. It sounded like he was praying. You didn't recognize the language, but were pretty sure it was Mandarin. You check your ammo and refill your guns organizing them neatly in your duffel bag. Lamar pulls up in front of Le Grand Paris and you all exit the cab. "Hey, uh... good luck in there." Lamar says as you walk past his window. "Thanks, man. Chat needs all the luck he can get right now." you weakly smile at the driver. "I'll probably see you around." Lamar says. "I still have to drop that big ass monkey later. Wanna help?" you ask managing a small smirk. "Now you're speaking my language!" he says as he turns off the engine and turns on the radio. "May I suggest that you continue this conversation at a later time? We must hurry!" Master Fu says sounding impatient as Viperion helps Ladybug walk. "I'm on my way." you reply as you wave Lamar goodbye.
You enter the lobby to see Chloe behind the counter in her bra trying to scrub bloodstains out of her undershirt. "Ugh. Slut." Ladybug says quietly under her breath she walks by. Viperion stares at her and accidentally walks into a pillar making Chloe giggle. "A man who goes to sleep with a sex problem on his mind, wakes up with a solution in hand." Master Fu smirks nudging Viperion. You bring up the rear as the others walk ahead. Chloe flashes you one of her pink nipples as she puts her index finger against her lips. You smile and wink as you walk past her and join the others in the elevator. "Which floor?" Master Fu asks standing near the elevator buttons. "PENTHOUSE." you and Viperion say simultaneously. Viperion looks away and coughs trying to look innocent. You slowly give him a confused look. "Wait a minute, how would YOU know?" Ladybug asks Viperion. "Uh... J-Just a hunch." he replies blushing. Master Fu smiles and shakes his head as he presses the button for the top floor. The elevator begins to ascend and you look down and notice Chat Noir's bloodstains are gone. Jean must have mopped the elevator after you left. Probably just as well, it hurt you to look at them and it would probably upset his other friends as well if they saw them too. "Hey, uh... what's that green stuff leaking out of your bag?" Ladybug asks. "Nuclear waste i think." you reply with a shrug as the elevator reaches the penthouse and the doors open with a ding. "Go on in, the door's open." you say as you gesture at the gaping hole in the wall that used to be your door. Master Fu enters the room and turns around holding out his arm. "Stay here. I must do this alone." Fu says to the three of you as he walks into the room. "So how bad is he?" Viperion asks you. "He's um... he's not too bad." you lie. You sit on the floor and lean your back against the wall. You hear voices coming from inside the room. You stay quiet and listen.
"Master Fu! You made it!" the nasally voice says. "Shh. Quiet, Plagg. Someone may hear you." Fu says to the voice. "I don't know if you can fix him, Master Fu. We may need to find a new Chat Noir again." Plagg says glumly. "It's quite bad, but I'll do what I can." Fu says trying to cheer up Plagg and attempting to heal Chat Noir. "Plagg! How have you been?" a different voice says. "Stuck in a smashed hotel room with no camembert and a dying master. How about you Wayzz?" Plagg replies annoyed. "I sense another kwami. Aru." Wayzz answers. "Aru? I haven't seen Aru in centuries." Plagg says to Wayzz. "None of us have, but I can sense him. He's somewhere under Paris." Wayzz explains. "Under Paris? I'm not wading through the muck in the sewers to go find him, and if he's in the Catacombs he'll probably be lost for several more centuries if not forever." Plagg replies. "Someone has to try before Hawk Moth does. We don't want him getting his hands on any more Miraculous', and Aru is extremely powerful. I can sense that Aru has awakened from a long slumber and is seeking a new master." Wayzz explains to Plagg. "Shh! Quiet, you two! I need to focus. Chat Noir has lost a lot of blood, and his spinal cord isn't going to reattach itself." Master Fu explains to the talkative kwamis. "Master Fu, with all due respect... I think he's dead." Wayzz says. "Maybe if we all clap, he'll get up and walk around again!" Plagg snickers. "Plagg! You're being disrespectful and ruining my concentration. This boy is at least 160 years younger than me. It's unfair a life with such promise is snuffed-out so early. You must allow me to try!" Master Fu scolds Plagg. "I know. I'm just trying to get used to having to find yet another master. I was kind of starting to like this guy too. He's a bit of a dope and a hopeless romantic, but he always had camembert and on occasion a witty pun. I'm going to miss him." Plagg says. "You're not getting a new master, I'm reviving the old one if you allow me to concentrate. "The old one? The samurai? You and I both know he died of old age around 80 years ago. You're a healer, not a necromancer." Plagg retorts. "Not THAT old one, THIS old one! Your current master! The one who gives you camembert!" Master Fu explains with frustration in his voice.
"What's going on in there?" Ladybug asks. "I have no fucking idea. I think there's like three or four people in there." you answer as you try to eavesdrop. "Should we be listening in like this?" Viperion asks. "I don't see why not, Chat Noir is our friend too. I kinda want to hear this." you explain to him. "What are they saying in there?" Ladybug asks you. "Unpleasant things. Things I don't understand." you reply to the young heroine. The three of you continue sitting in the hallway and waiting when Master Fu appears in the doorway. "I've done all I'm able to do with my power and skill." he says wiping blood off his hands. "Well? What happens now?" Ladybug asks him. "We wait. I'm not sure if I was successful. He's alive, but I'm unsure if he'll live through the night." Master Fu explains. "So what do we do in the meantime?" Viperion asks. "Gorizilla is still laying siege to Paris. I suggest the three of you should go do something about it while there's still a Paris left." Fu says. "Good. I was getting sick of all this waiting around. Lamar is still downstairs waiting." you tell him. "Then let's go ape!" Ladybug says. "I shall remain here until you return. You should be able to see Chat Noir by then. Now go! Stop Gorizilla and de-akumatize him!" Master Fu demands as you Ladybug and Viperion enter the elevator and take it down to the lobby.
