Not much sex in the first parts of this chapter. Mostly background and setting the events for later. Some will happen in 3.3.
Ron felt Kim's hand on his chest. He opened his eyes and saw her resting her head on his shoulder, her leg draped over his. She was just as happy as he was. A quick glance at the clock brought him fully awake.
Kim? Kim, what time did you say Mom and Dad would be back?
Kim stirred and quickly looked at the clock. "Oh my God. In about 10 minutes."
Both were up and getting dressed in less than 3 seconds. While Ron was pulling up his pants, he heard a car pulling into the driveway. "Crap! They're here Kim. I'll go down and stall till you get dressed and come down."
"Ron, my bag is outside your door. Toss it to me. We don't want them seeing me in my LBD."
Right, Kim.
Ron went down the stairs, opened the door and got her bag. Back up the stairs, a quick toss,and back down the steps.
"Oww! Ron!"
Sorry Kim!
Ron rushed down and made it to the bottom of the stair just as his parents came through the front door.
"Oh, Hi mom, hi dad. Ah, where's Han?"
"Han was invited to spend the evening at a friend of hers house, which is just as well considering." said his Dad.
"What? Is something wrong, Dad?" asked Ron. His Dad's tone warned him that things weren't right.
"Your mother and I have been talking and well, let's just wait till Kim gets down here." Ron's dad said with a stern look on his face. Ron's mother had the same look.
"Kiimm! Kim, I think you need to get down here,.............. about 2 minutes ago!"
When Kim came down she found a sitch she never thought she would see. Both Ron's parents seemed to be upset at Ron...........or her? Even when Ron wasted 99 million dollars they just wrote it off as a learning experience.
"Kim, Ron both of you are adults and there is no way we can tell you what to do, but in this house we have the right to set some basic rules." said his father. His Mom stood by Donald and visually gave him her full support.
Ron stood there not believing what was happening.
"Now. First and basically the only rule you need to know, Kimberly Ann Possible."
Kim recognized "the daddy voice." Her father used it when ever he was about to ground her or have a father daughter talk about boys and everything 'not'."
"We have known you since you were in pre-kindergarten but today, after what you and Ronald did here, you have to start all over with us."
"Hi, my name is Donald. Most people call me that. Some call me Don. This is my wife Lonnie. Only a few people call her Lon but if it's okay if you want to. "
Ron and Kim stared at him with blank expressions on their faces. Their eyes went to each other to see if the other had any idea what was going on. Neither finding any help from the other, went back to looking at Donald Stoppable.
"You see Kim, we've known you since you were in pre kindergarten when Ron introduce us at the open house. That been 17 years ago and you stil call us Mr and Mrs Stoppable. That just makes us feel old and we would rather be your friends than just Ron's "parents.""
"You know that's going to be hard to adjust to." said Kim.
"Anything's possible for a Possible." said Lonnie.
Kim just smiled and hugged both of them and said,"I'll try.......................... Don and Lonnie. By the way, where's Hana? You didn't tell her I was here did you? She could accidental tell my father that I was here a day early."
"She's at a friend's house for about 30 minutes more and no. We didn't tell her you were here. She told us."
What??
When we came out of the Mall, she looked in this direction and said, "Kim's with Ron, isn't she?" I asked her how she knew. I couldn't lie to her and tell her, no.
"She said she could see how powerful your "power glow" was and that it always glowed that color when you were with Kim. She also said she saw another glow off in the east." Donald said thoughtfully. "Anyway she promised that she wouldn't tell anyone about Kim being here."
"Which reminds me. We thought that you might not have thought about sleeping arrangements, or want to discuss them, so we stoped and got Kim a room at the Middleton Motor Lodge. It in my name and it's a room at the very end so you won't have to walk very far. Ron still has that mask he made of Lonnie so you could wear that. No one would know it's you. People already know that Ron is back in town so it wouldn't be unusual
for him to be seen with his mother driving her car. Tomorrow you could wear the mask, go to the Airport and change out of it in a bathroom and appear as yourself. No one would suspect anything different."
"Sounds like a plan, Kim. I'll go up, get your stuff. We can stop off and get something to eat at a drive-thou."
said Ron. With that, he then went bounding up the stairs.
Kim, being left alone with her new "friends," felt a little awk-weird. Finally, she said," I would really like to thank you, ahhh............... Donald, Lonnie. This could have been really awkward, but .....ah....."
"Kim." Lonnie interrupted," We have known for sometime that this day would come. That you and Ron would have a relationship. We always trusted and liked you. Why do you think we let Ronald go on all of those missions with you. It was all he could talk about, you and the missions. Sometimes just you. We knew after we sent him to camp, that one summer, that it would have killed him to not be near you."
"We have always approved of you, Kim. This is just our way of telling you ." said Donald.
Kim's eyes started to water and she just gathered both of into a group hug when Ron came bouncing down the stairs and out the door with Kim's bag in hand. He was back in a flash and gave the mask to Kim.
Here Kp. Try it on. Mom, could we borrow one of your coats? Kim can tuck her hair down under the collar so it won't show.
After trying it on and putting on one of Lonnie's lightweight coats, Kim looked like Lonnie's twin standing there.
Great! Come on KP. I'll help you out to the car. Oh!. Mom, I need the keys for your car.
Lonnie gave him the keys and he rushed out to be with Kim.
Donald and Lonnie looked at each other and shared an exasperated smile. At that moment, Ron came running in, grabbed both of them and hugged them for all he was worth. "I really love you guys. always have even if I didn't say it enough. Thank you." He then went out to the car.
Donald and Lonnie hugged each other. "I think we did a good job raising him." said Donald.
Lonnie relied, "Yeah we did. I just wished he'd held on to some of that 99 million dollars."
"Yeah, but he made up for it."
