Twister took one of the bottles and opened it. She put a small amount of the liquid on a cloth and started dabbing it on Icy’s lip. The liquid was warm but it soothed the pain almost immediately.
Twister finally set the cloth down and started looking over Icy. "OK, Icy, get undressed."
"Excuse me!?" the blue-haired witch replied.
"Get undressed. I can see too many bruises already, I know you must have gotten a thorough working over. I need to see the rest of you."
Icy wasn’t happy about this but Twister was right.
Twister could feel Icy’s discomfort. Usually she was the dominant one in her encounters but this time she could afford to be the submissive, which was what Icy probably wanted. She didn’t care, she wanted the blue-haired witch more than she ever wanted anyone, man or woman, before. "Tell you what, Icy, I’ll undress too. That way we’re even."
Before Icy could say anything Twister removed her tube top. Her large breasts, freed from constraint, jiggled every time she breathed. And they certainly caught Icy’s attention. *Works every single time*, she thought to herself. She removed Icy’s boots, then helped the ice witch sit up so she could get undressed. Icy unbuttoned her shirt and Twister helped her to remove it. The pink-haired witch noticed that Icy also wore no bra. Icy’s breasts might have been small but they were certainly perky, the nipples large and erect.
Twister stood up and dropped her hot pants. Icy was shocked to see a small patch of bright pink hair between Twister’s legs. "Before you ask; no, it’s not my natural color. I just happen to like pink. I’m weird that way."
Twister sat Icy back down and removed the blue-haired witch’s skirt. She noticed that Icy was wearing a thong. *I wouldn’t have thought she’d wear something like that.*
Icy sensed Twister’s thoughts. "No, it’s not my usual underwear. I could barely move and it was the easiest thing to get on."
"Makes sense to me," Twister said. She gently removed it, noting that Icy shaved. *Looks beautiful,* she thought trying not to drool.
Twister winced as she looked Icy over. There were bruises of every shape, size and color all over the ice witch’s body. There was a particularly nasty-looking one on Icy’s lower chest, when Twister touched it Icy gasped in pain. Twister gently felt the area. "Thank the stars it’s only cracked and not broken. Well, time to pull out the big guns."
Icy was going to ask what Twister meant but never got the chance. Twister laid her naked body on top of Icy’s, then began to cast an incantation. Icy saw a glow form around Twister’s body, which then spread and began to envelope Icy. The blue-haired witch gasped in astonishment, she had seen healing spells cast before but never by a witch!
Finally the glow died down. Twister’s limp body lay on top of Icy’s, her energy almost totally drained. Icy felt much better, though. She looked at her arms and noticed her black eye and split lip were completely healed. The lesser bruises were completely gone while the more serious ones appeared to be almost healed. And her chest no longer ached every time she took a breath. She looked at the pink-haired witch on top of her, panting from sheer exhaustion. Icy had to admit to herself, Twister was beautiful. And she was never one to let any sort of opportunity go by.
"Hey Twister, thanks," she said as she kissed the pink-haired girl. Icy quickly found herself in a tongue-wrestling duel with Twister as their kiss intensified.
Finally breaking the lip-lock, Icy had to know. "Healing magic?" she asked with a tilt of her head.
"Hey, when you’ve got a father and four older brothers who are all warlocks, always fighting and not always on the winning side…" Twister said. "Mom’s potions help a lot but I just figured learning a healing spell would prove a good idea in the long run."
"Must burn a lot of energy healing, though."
"Yeah, but there’s an easy way to get a lot of it back."
Before Icy could ask what Twister meant the pink-haired witch shoved her breasts into Icy’s face. Shocking herself, Icy never hesitated but quickly began sucking the magnificent orbs, bringing sounds of pleasure from Twister.
When Twister’s nipples could take no more she slowly shifted position, allowing Icy to slowly kiss down her belly. She allowed the white-haired witch to get to her belly button, then quickly shifted position jamming her dripping twat onto Icy’s face. Icy had no choice but to eat out the pink-haired witch, who’s moans quickly turned into screams.
Twister’s entire body suddenly shook, then she keeled over, falling onto the bed beside Icy panting heavily. Icy just smiled and thought, *Not bad for my first time.* She rolled Twister onto her back, then sat on her chest and straddled the pink-haired girl’s face. "You know what to do," she said.
Twister never hesitated but drove her tongue between Icy’s legs, causing the white-haired witch to moan loudly. The moans became even louder and more frequent as Twister added a couple of fingers into the mix. Finally Icy came hard, falling face forward onto Twister.
"Not bad for a freshie," Twister told Icy. "And who knew there was a volcano of passion under that icy exterior?"
Icy pointed a finger at Twister, an icicle growing out of it. "I swear Twister, if you EVER tell anyone…!"
"Hey, my lips are sealed. It can be our little secret," she said, giving the ice witch another kiss. "What now?"
Icy looked at a clock on the wall. It was nearing dinner and she had missed lunch. "Let’s get cleaned up and go to dinner, I’m starving."
"Sound’s good to me. Who’s first in the shower?"
"Me, of course."
"Yes, mistress," Twister said in a mocking yet humble tone. "May your servant be allowed to help her mistress?"
"Yes, you may," Icy smiled. Twister was going to be a LOT of fun!

After 2 hours of touring, Blazer and Darcy had covered the castle from towers to dungeon and Darcy was starting to feel like she might be able to find her way around a little bit better. The few times the castle had tried to mess with them Blazer had loudly announced where the corridor they were in was supposed to be taking them and the corridor corrected itself immediately. Darcy realized from this that one didn't necessarily have to actually address the castle directly in order to make it behave so long as one was firm with it.
They passed the library, but decided against going in when they noticed who was in there weilding a broom. Darcy gave one more glance as they walked away.
"Huh. Wonder what she did that got her stuck sweeping the library?"
Blazer shrugged.
"Who knows? Maybe she was the one who started that fight that let us get away from the Hellions."
Darcy grinned at Blazer.
"Wouldn't that be something. She gets busted for starting a fight while we just walk away from ours."
Just then a familiar voice rang out from behind them.
"Hey you! Stop right there! We've got some unfinished business to discuss!"
Blazer and Darcy turned to glance behind them and saw Dusty, Boomer and Titania closing in from behind. Blazer grabbed Darcy's wrist.
"Come on! Let's get out of here!"
The two ran down the hallway as fast as they could. Looking back they saw that Dusty, Boomer and Titania were literally flying down the hallway and gaining ground fast. As they turned a corner Darcy glanced at Blazer.
"Why are we running?"
They came to a sudden halt as they realized that someone was standing in their way. Blazer gasped as they recognized that it was Ms. Griffin.
"Exactly what I'd like to know. Why are you two girls running in the halls?"
Blazer looked back just in time to see their three pursuers ducking back behind the corner out of sight. She looked back at Ms. Griffin again.
"Um, no reason."
Ms. Griffin frowned at her.
"What is going on in my school today? It seems like every time I turn around there's someone else making trouble. I should put you both in detention for this."
Blazer looked down apologeticly.
"Sorry Ms. Griffin."
Ms. Griffin turned her eyes on Darcy, who was standing with both hands behind her back. Her gaze traveled down Darcy's body and back up again, noting with disapproval the inordinate amount of skin showing above her hips. She stared at Darcy's face studiously.
"Hmm. I remember reading on the roster that there was an enchantress enrolled here this year. You're Darcy Romanov, aren't you?"
Darcy lowered her head a little bit as she stared back at the headmistress.
"Yeah, that's me."
Ms. Griffin crooked her finger at Darcy.
"Come with me. I'd like to have a private word with you in my office."
Darcy shrugged casually.
"Okay. Sure."
She started to follow Ms. Griffin, but as soon as the headmistress's back was turned Darcy backed up to Blazer and pressed up close to her. "Hang onto these for me," she whispered over her shoulder. Blazer felt something being pressed against her thighs. She grabbed them and watched as Darcy quickly caught up to Ms. Griffin. Looking down at her hands she discovered she was holding the apple and pear that Darcy had snatched from her lunch tray and been carrying around with her ever since.
*=*=*
Darcy glanced around as Headmistress Griffin lead her into her office. She didn't really look forward to seeing the inside of this office very often so she decided to have a good look at it as long as she was there. It was ostentatiously appointed, as befitted the highest ranking member of the faculty, but comfortable too. Ms. Griffin seated herself behind her desk and gestured to the chairs in front of it.
"Please, be seated."
As Darcy sat down Griffin picked up some papers from her desk and shuffled through them.
"What a lousy way to start the school year. Only the first day and we've got half the student body frozen in the halls, a fight in the cafeteria, and now you and your friend running in the hallway. The only thing missing is someone toilet papering the gymnasium …"
She glanced up at Darcy sharply.
"And don't get any ideas about that!"
Darcy folded her arms and shrugged.
"Not my style. So what did you want to talk to me about?"
Ms. Griffin tapped her papers together and adopted a less menacing expression.
"As I mentioned before, it caught my attention when I saw that there was an enchantress enrolling here this year. I was curious to know why you chose to come here rather than the enchantress finishing school at Odelisk Academy. Cloud Tower isn't exactly geared for teaching young enchantresses the tricks of their trade."
Darcy waved a dismissive hand at that.
"I know all that. I had this whole conversation with my mom already. Cloud Tower teaches the dark arts, not the art of seduction. I get that. But it's my decision and this is where I wanna be."
Ms. Griffin narrowed her eyes slightly.
"I think you misunderstand me. I'm not here to challenge your decision. I simply want to understand why you chose our school. What is it that you hope to learn here?"
Darcy unfolded her arms, laid them on the arms of the chair and crossed her legs with a wicked smile.
"I want to become something great. I don't want to be just another another pretty face fucking men for money and priviledges. I want real power, the power to leave my mark on history, just like in your speech earlier."
Ms. Griffin scowled.
"I'll thank you to watch your language. Such crude words are not welcome here."
She relaxed her expression as she picked up a pen and scribbled on one of the papers in her hands.
"However if power is what you seek then you've come to the right place. Cloud Tower has seen many a witch on her way to fame and glory, or infamy as the case may be. Did you have any particular career in mind?"
Darcy shrugged and gestured off-handedly.
"Not as such. I'm still exploring my options."
Ms. Griffin pulled a paper from another stack and handed it to Darcy.
"In that case perhaps this list of potential career paths for young witches might prove helpful."
Darcy accepted the paper and scanned down through it. Her eyebrows rose slightly at one particular entry near the bottom of the list.
"World Conqueror?"
Ms. Griffin smiled darkly at that one.
"Ah yes. While perhaps not the most widely respected option it is a legitimate career choice and one way to go if you're into power, however I ought to warn you that the pay is lousy."
She set her papers down on the desk and leaned back in her chair.
"You wouldn't be the first power-hungry enchantress to try her hand at that profession. I still remember back in the old days when I gave it a try for myself."
Darcy's eyebrows arched up in surprise.
"Wait. You used to be an enchantress?"
Ms. Griffin frowned at Darcy.
"I most certainly did, and I dare say I was rather good at it."
Darcy gazed at Ms. Griffin skeptically.
"Gee grandma, you've really let yourself go in your old age."
Griffin glared at her.
"Watch your tongue! I'll have you know I'm young enough to be your mother!"
Darcy gave a disbelieving frown.
"No way. You can't be my mom's age. She still looks hot."
Ms. Griffin turned her head to the side and pressed her fingertips to her chest.
"Fighting the ravages of time takes more effort the older you get. Unfortunately some of us just don't have the time to spare to keep looking young and beautiful. Running a school is a full-time profession you know. If I had chosen to pursue the path of the enchantress instead of a working profession I'm sure I'd still be able to give your mother a run for her money."
*Yeah, right* Darcy thought with a smirk.
"If you say so. Can I go now?"
Ms. Griffin looked back at Darcy and nodded.
"Yes, I suppose we're done here for now. Take that paper with you if you like. We'll talk more later once you've had some time to consider your options. I'm looking forward to helping you choose your path in life."
Darcy stood up and left without another word. She didn't need any help choosing her path in life. She'd find her own way without help from her mother or anybody else.
*=*=*
Darcy found Blazer waiting for her in the hallway as she exited Ms. Griffin's office. Blazer pushed off from the wall she'd been leaning against and came over to join her.
"Hey! So what was that all about? What'd Griffin wanna talk to you about?"
Darcy held up the paper she'd been given.
"Career counseling, like I need it. I may not know what I wanna do with my life yet, but I'm quite capable of deciding that for myself. So what're you doing here? Don't tell me you were waiting for me? Let me guess, you just can't get enough of me?"
Blazer gave an amused "Hmph" as she turned and started walking, obliging Darcy to tag along with her.
"Don't flatter yourself girl. Dusty and her goon girls started to come after me as soon as you and Griffin walked away. I figured the last place they'd try something with me was right in front of Griffin's office, so I came to wait for you. Seems I was right. They gave me a bunch of dirty looks as they walked past me but they didn't stop. Almost wish they had. Sooner or later they're gonna catch up with both of us, and the longer it takes the worse they're gonna give it to us for making them wait."
Darcy grinned at Blazer.
"Stick with me girl. I'll show you how to make bullies leave you alone."
Blazer gave Darcy a sardonic smirk.
"Yeah right freshie! I've got a year's seniority on you and you think you're gonna teach me how to deal with bullies? And who's the one who almost got us pulped at lunch anyway, eh? The Hellions wouldn't even be after us right now if you hadn't shot your mouth off at Dusty."
Darcy gave her head an unconcerned toss.
"Are you a witch or a wuss? Bullies act like bullies because people treat them like bullies. Being a bully gives them power, but it's a power you have to grant them over you. It's what they want you to do. The way to make a bully stop bullying you is to refuse to treat them like a bully. Show them that you won't play their game. Once they realize they can't bully you they'll leave you alone."
Blazer shook her head in disbelief.
"That whole 'stand up to a bully and they'll leave you alone' line parents teach their kids? Everyone knows that doesn't work. You stand up to a bully and they'll beat you down. Bullies aren't stupid. They know how to put uppity kids in their place. The only person a bully respects is a bigger bully, and I really don't see either one of us qualifying for that role."
Darcy gave Blazer a sly grin.
"There's more than one way to take away a bully's power to bully you. Just wait. You'll see."
Blazer rolled her eyes.
"Just do me a favor. When you try this brilliant plan of yours to get Dusty and her pals to leave you alone, just let me get a safe distance away first, okay? There's a reason they call her Dusty, and I'm not eager to eat any more dust. I had enough of that last year."
Darcy raised an eyebrow at that.
"Dust? That's her power? She makes dust?"
Blazer stopped walking and looked Darcy in the eye.
"She commands dust. It does whatever she wants it to. Trust me, you don't want to learn the hard way how damned powerful she is. Listen, last year when she was still a Junior she took on Tsunami, a water witch from the Realm of Tides. Tsunami was a senior and the reigning Big Witch on Campus. Dust vs. water? Nobody would expect Dusty to have a chance in a fight like that, right? Thing is, Dusty was the one who walked away from that fight victorious and Tsunami never did manage to get even for that upset."
Darcy's whistled.
"That's impressive. How'd she do it?"
Blazer started walking again.
"Well as near as anyone can figure it was a matter of who had a better handle on how to make the best use of their powers. Both of them were pretty powerful with their respective elements, but water should have swept dust away with no problem, or so you'd think. The thing is Dusty found a way to break Tsunami's control over her water. What do you get when you mix water and dust?"
Darcy shrugged.
"Mud? Sludge? Slime?"
Blazer nodded.
"Something like that. Whatever it was, Tsunami couldn't make it obey her. Of course, neither could Dusty. The stuff just started making a big mess on the floor that neither one could do anything with. With their initial reserves used up, both of them started reaching out with their powers to gather more of their elements from the surrounding area. Dust and water started flowing in from all over the place. That's when things really started getting intense. You see, dust is lighter than water and a lot more common around the castle, so Dusty was able to pull in dust faster than Tsunami could pull in water. Pretty soon Dusty had a dust barrier cycling around them both, keeping Tsunami's water from getting through. Dusty was pulling in dust to replace what got soaked faster than Tsunami could hose it down. As soon as she had a big enough advantage, Dusty went in for the kill. She hit Tsunami with a Dust Bowl to knock her down, then surrounded her with a Dust Storm so she couldn't see, couldn't concentrate, couldn't even breathe. When the dust cleared, literally, Tsunami was down for the count. She was in the infirmary for respiratory distress for three days after that."
Darcy looked thoroughly impressed now.
"Now I see why you're so scared of her. That's one majorly impressive upset."
Blazer nodded as she led Darcy out of the stairwell into a familiar hallway.
"No joke! Not many people are crazy enough to mess with Dusty after that. That's why she's the Big Witch on Campus now, and the main reason why the Hellions are so feared. You just don't mess with them."
The smirk returned to Darcy's face as she stopped in front of the door to her dorm room.
"So is that why you've led me back here? Are we hiding in my room so Dusty and her playpals don't find us? Or did you have something else in mind?"
Blazer's cheeks turned red as she stared back at Darcy defensively.
"Hey, I just thought it might be better if we hung out in your room until dinner time, okay? I would have invited you back to my room, but my roommates are kinda … odd. They take some getting used to."
Darcy grinned as she opened her door and led Blazer inside.
"I'll have to meet them sometime. Of course I haven't even met my own roommates yet. I wonder what they're gonna turn out to be like."
Blazer gestured at the shattered remnants of the mirror lieing on the floor next to the mirror Darcy had replaced it with.
"Judging from the evidence, I wouldn't be at all surprised if one of them did turn out to be the one you called Miss Megawatt earlier."
Darcy closed her eyes and shuddered.
"Oh gods, I hope not."
Blazer leaned against the wall and smirked.
"Either that or there's two freshmen with anger problems in this school, and I don't know which thought is scarier."
Darcy opened her eyes and frowned at Blazer.
"I'll take option number 2, thanks just the same."
She started shoving the pieces of broken glass around with her foot, trying to move them away from her bedside. Blazer laid a hand on her arm to stop her.
"Hey, wait a minute! You'll ruin your boots doing that! Here, let me take care of it."
She held out her hands over the broken glass and closed her eyes.
"Shards of glass, I call thee vile. Remove thyself and make a pile!"
The broken pieces of the mirror began to glow and floated up into the air. Blazer moved her hands to the side and floated the shards into a corner where she allowed them to settle down into a nice tidy pile. Darcy was smiling at her when she opened her eyes.
"Nice spell. Sounded like a nursery rhyme."
Blazer shrugged and grinned.
"Hey, it works. Anyway, it isn't the words that are important. The real spell forms inside your mind based on how you see it happening. The words are just a crutch to help you focus on the desired effect."
Darcy nodded in understanding.
"It's like how I can say the words 'Shadow Transit' and nothing happens unless I'm actually focusing on the spell."
Blazer nodded.
"Exactly. The words don't really have any magic in them at all. Your mind makes the spell happen. And once you get familiar enough with a spell you don't need to use words to make it work anymore. The real magic takes place inside you."
Just then Darcy's stomach growled. Darcy placed her hand on her belly and looked down.
"Whoa. I didn't realize I was so hungry. Didn't really get to eat much of my lunch."
Blazer gave a pained look as her own stomach growled in response.
"You just had to bring it up. I didn't get much to eat either."
Darcy looked at Blazer expectantly.
"Well what about those pieces of fruit I snuck out of the cafeteria? You still have those, right?"
She glanced down at Blazer's empty hands and a look of dismay spread across her face. Blazer chuckled.
"Yes I still have them. Unlike certain freshmen I've learned a trick or two to keep stuff hidden on me while leaving my hands free. Observe!"
Blazer turned her back on Darcy and unzipped her blazer. She did something with her hands Darcy couldn't see and when she turned around she held the apple and pear in either hand. Darcy reached out and took the apple from Blazer's hand.
"Nice trick. Where were you hidding those?"
Blazer waited until Darcy took a bite of her apple before she replied.
"I hid them in my bra."
Darcy stopped mid-bite and stared at Blazer's chest, which she now noticed did seem significantly flatter than it had moments ago. The white tank top she wore under her blazer didn't stick out nearly as far as she would have expected from the way her blazer had been bulging earlier. For that matter she realized that Blazer's jacket hadn't been bulging that much prior to her visit to Ms. Griffin's office either. It surprised her that she had overlooked such an obvious change in her companion's bust size. She finished her bite and chewed thoughtfully.
"Hmm. Nice trick. You'd think I would have noticed that though."
Blazer's grin faded.
"Aaaw! That's it? I was hoping for more of a reaction."
Darcy gestured with her apple.
"What? It was a good trick, but not all that clever."
Blazer's cheeks started to redden again.
"Yeah, but I mean, that apple was in my bra. Doesn't that do anything to you?"
Darcy's eyes lit up as she realized what Blazer was hinting at.
"Ah, now I get it. This apple I'm eating was pressed against your bare breast and I'm supposed to be weirded out by that, is that what you're saying?"
Blazer's cheeks reddened further.
"Well, um, yeah, sort of."
Now it was Darcy's turn to grin as she continued eating her apple.
"You must not know all that much about enchantresses if you think a little thing like that would freak me out. In fact, it just makes this apple taste that much better, knowing where it's been."
Blazer looked away from Darcy and took a big bite out her pear, trying to hide her mounting embarrassment. A trickle of juice leaked out of the corner of her mouth and dribbled down her chin. Before Blazer knew what was happening, Darcy closed in and licked it off her face. Blazer jumped back and nearly fell over the nearby bed.
"H-hey! What're you doing? I thought you said you wouldn't come after me sexually?"
Darcy grinned and licked her lips.
"I did, and I won't, not until you let me know you want me to. But remember, I did warn you that I tease and flirt, and you're fun to tease."
Blazer seemed unsure whether to be offended or embarrassed by Darcy's remarks.
"Well I don't think it's very funny the way you're playing with my feelings. I mean, you're so hot and sexy and you keep doing all these kinky things to turn me on and make me embarrassed …"
Darcy raised her eyebrows and gave Blazer a speculative look.
"Oh, so you think I'm hot and sexy, do you?"
Blazer's eyes opened wide as she realized what she'd just admitted.
"I … well, … that is, … I, uh, …"
Darcy closed in and placed her hands on Blazer's shoulders, discarding the apple on the bed.
"Tell me the truth Blazer. Do you want me?"
Blazer swallowed nervously as she locked eyes with Darcy.
"I … Yeah. Yeah I do."
Darcy slipped her arms around Blazer's shoulders and pulled her in closer.
"Then tell me. Tell me what you want and I'll make it happen."
Blazer hesitantly brought her own arms up to embrace the enchantress.
"I … I want to make love to you."
Darcy reached around behind her own back to take the pear from Blazer's hand and toss it on the bed beside her apple.
"Then that is exactly what we'll do."
Darcy brought her face right up to Blazer's and pressed her lips to the blond's. Blazer closed her eyes and returned Darcy's kiss as though in a dream. Together they fell over onto the bed, causing the apple and pear to bounce and roll together, bumping against one another repeatedly as the activities on the bed became increasingly frenzied.

Amanda grunted her dismay as the library seemed to grow bigger every minute. And new dust fell as soon as she had cleaned.
Just as she placed the last book on a shelf, out of nowhere, an inch of dust reappeared. The castle must be toying with her again.
“Rraahrr!” Amanda threw the book she was holding with so much force that all the other books toppled over her.
“Goddammit Castle!” she yelled as she conjured a raging Tornado. “I’m not in the mood for your stupid games!”
Books were circling through the library. Luckily, there weren’t any bystanders to receive any in the head.
“Stop being annoying and let. Me. Clean!!!” After her yelling she let go of the Tornado and the books fell on the floor limply.
Amanda stood panting, as the adrenaline slowly left her veins. She hadn’t noticed that, after her rage, a girl slipped in to check things out.
“Wow, that was quite a blast.” Amanda jumped out of her skin at the voice that came out of nowhere. She turned to see who had the nerve to disturb her.
Before her stood a short, frail and geeky looking girl, with blond wavy hair that reached her shoulders. On her nose she had small round spectacles.
“Really, you should learn to control yourself,” she murmured while she walked past Amanda to look at the covers of the books on the floor, to see if there was anything interesting.
Amanda stood shocked for a few seconds, the NERVE that girl has telling her to calm down. She turned and stomped toward the intruder. “Look,” she spat poking the girls shoulder “I’m a little busy here so piss off!!”
The girl blinked once at Amanda, turned her gaze at Amanda’s finger poking her shoulder, then back at Amanda. “You’re not going to make lots of friends like that,” she simply replied.
“Fine,” Amanda snapped as she started to pick up the books again. “I don’t want any friends.”
The girl stepped in front of Amanda. “Won’t you be lonely?”
“Aren’t you enrolled in the wrong school?” Amanda spat back.
“The name’s Jenny,” the girl finally introduced herself holding out her hand.
“Not interested,” Amanda retorted, not looking up. Finally starting to replace the books, she really wanted to get out of here, even more so with this new stalker.
Jenny took a seat on the table closest by and watched Amanda as she worked. After a short while Amanda got annoyed by this. “Don’t you have anything better to do?” She snapped at the smaller girl.
“No.”
“Look, why don’t I show you to the infirmary then?” Amanda spat while she stomped toward Jenny with her fists at the ready.
Jenny leaned back and played with a strand of hair, looking totally relaxed and confident. “Oh, you don’t want anymore detention I’m sure.”
She’s right, Amanda thought while she slowly brought her fists down. She snarled at Jenny and turned away to continue her cleaning.
“So… where you from?” Jenny asked.
“None of your business.” Amanda slammed the books on the shelves more violently.
“Some of those are quite precious, so be careful,” Jenny hummed.
“WILL YOU JUST…” Amanda couldn’t finish her sentence. Jenny knelt beside her and grabbed her hand. “WHAT the HELL are you doing?” Amanda fumed as Jenny just stared at her palm. “Well!” Amanda pressed.
“I’m reading your palm,” Jenny replied, without shifting her gaze.
Amanda gaped at the girl, not believing what she heard. Then she pulled her hand back and Jenny looked at her like she had stolen her candy. “You wanna read my palm?” Amanda yelled uncontrolled. She slapped Jenny on the back of her head, hoping that the other witch would FINALLY leave. “There ya have it.”
Amanda once again tried to continue her cleaning. Jenny just sat there and Amanda observed her over her shoulder. For a few minutes now the small girl had not moved an inch, it made Amanda feel a bit uncomfortable.
“You’re in my way,” she said while she moved over with her broom. Jenny looked up at her with big watery eyes. Amanda felt a big shiver run down her spine. “I didn’t know,” the witch said. “I felt your loneliness and it hurt so much.”
Amanda’s jaw fell open. “Look I’m not lonely, now move away, go make some friends, and leave me alone.” She was really Really getting annoyed.
“I want to be your friend,” Jenny said while she stood up, dusting her clothes. “You don’t have to feel so lonely.”
“I. Am. Not. Lonely.” Amanda yelled “And if I DO feel lonely, I’ll call my mummy and cry at her over the phone OK, So I. Don’t. Need. You!”
Jenny flung her arms around Amanda, making the storm witch unable to move. “Your mother is the only person in your life… What happened to your father?”
Amanda’s eyes flew open. Brutally she shoved Jenny away from her and glared at the young witch. “I’ve just about had it with you,” She hissed with much venom.
Jenny was not one to get scared easily but now she felt like she really crossed the line. Still she was not giving up on this one.
“Get out,” Amanda finished before returning to her books.
“Did he … die?” Jenny asked carefully. “Was he a good man?”
Amanda did her best, gave everything she had, to not start to beat on this witch with every book in the library.
“I wouldn’t know what to do if I lost my father,” Jenny murmured. “He used to take me to the zoo a lot when I was a kid,” She continued rambling. “Oh I just loved the animals. Did your father take you to the zoo? Or do other fun things with you?”
Oh, I’ll show you what he did, Amanda thought as she dug her nails in the cover of a book, ready to smash the pixie-wannabe witch standing only a few feet away. She was just about to lift it as the clock chimed six o’clock.
“Oh it’s time for dinner,” Jenny chirped happily. “Are you coming?”
“I. Can’t” Amanda said through clenched teeth. “Have. To. Finish. First.”
“Oh too bad, I wanted to talk some more,” Jenny said. “I’ll see you around,” she said, waving goodbye and leaving the library, finally.
Amanda fell on her knees. Her hands were trembling violently. Adrenaline was pumping like crazy, and she tried to regain control. That… that GIRL, she thought. Jenny had really crossed the line. REALLY shouldn’t have gone there.
Amanda slammed her fists to the floor. Damn it. Get ahold of yourself girl, she told herself, before anyone sees you like this. A single tear escaped her eye. Amanda promised herself that it wasn’t sadness but anger and frustration that had to be let out…
After a while she managed to get up again and continue her cleaning.
