Chapter 250
“Hey Gramps, tell me some more about Zuko,” Toph asked with a yawn as she curled up next to Iroh.“Miss Toph, I’ve told you all I know you to tell about him. He’s like you in many ways: stubborn, persistent, hard-headed; not wanting to be seen as weak but also very kind hearted. But unlike you, Zuko has never believed in himself. He doesn’t have that innate confidence which tells him he will prevail but he is hard working and stubborn enough to overcome it. He finds a way to rise to every challenge that has been thrown at him,” the general explained.“But that doesn’t make sense, how can he not believe in himself. He’s cocky and arrogant,” Toph argued yet again.“He’s cocky and arrogant to mask his fear. The palace was no place for a boy as kind as Zuko. If he would have been a girl it would have been better; a kind heart in a princess is desired but prince must be authoritative and feared. Ozai and my father’s attempts to make him stronger terrified him. It was my son who taught him how to project himself with a strong princely aura to divert their attention away from his failings.”“Zuko walks just like him. There are times he talks just like him. When I see Zuko I see both my nephew and my son. As much as they are alike, they are also very different. My wife died giving birth so Princess Ursa was a strong influence on both of them but as her son, Zuko spent much more time around her. He is more considerate of the feelings of others and cannot bear the sight of injustice even though he is hot headed and rather stupid,” Iroh admitted.“If he is so kind hearted why did he force Katara to be his concubine and why does she feel so safe around him?” Toph asked again.Iroh sighed, “I can speculate but I do not have the definite answer to either of those questions.”“Tell me why you think he did?” Toph repeated.“Fire Nation prisons are unsafe for women. Things would have been especially dangerous for your friend considering the failed siege at the North Pole and her role in the invasion. Zuko most likely named her as his concubine for her own protection or it could have been because he is a hormonal sixteen year old and he finds her attractive. She could feel safe in his presence because she realizes what would happen to her if she were not with him or it could be because she is a hormonal teenage girl and she finds him attractive. I wish I knew the answer to your questions. Your statement that she is safe does much to ease my mind about the intentions of my nephew.” Iroh patted her back, “You should get some sleep Miss Toph. We have a long journey ahead of us to reach the shore. I have a friend who will let us sleep in his basement.”
The next morning, breakfast was delivered to the cottage as Iroh requested. As she was cooking the fresh eggs, the mistress of larger farm house and former owner of the lands debated whether or not to tell their generous benefactor his son had recently been with them or the strange way he had treated his companion.
She decided against it when she noticed the little blind girl’s presence. She did not approve of such behavior but Lord Hakawa and his son had been very kind to them. Her family had been in dire straits due to her husband’s illness when the two Fire Nation men offered to purchase the farm from them. They were reluctant to part with land that had been in their family for generations but agreed when Lord Hakawa presented a contract allowing them and their descendants to remain on the land rent free as caretakers and keep 30% of the profits as their salary. She placed the omelets in front of her landlord and the child along with the other dishes. After being thanked by both of them she returned to her home deciding honor the young master’s request that she tell no one of his visit just a few weeks ago. She returned to clean up after they left. As she went about her duties she noticed Lord Hakawa had left a bit of paper peeking from beneath the left corner of the kitchen table. It was placed in the fireplace just as swiftly and without thought as the one she removed from the same place after his son’s visit.
Zuko was hurting. Amayu and Toshio had both come by on two separate occasions but his heartbeat was still irregular. They wouldn’t give him any more drugs until it had returned to a normal pace and they were sure the coca and cactus were out of his system. Ty Lee had done what she could but there was also a limit to the amount of chi manipulation that could be done without causing more harm to his recovering system; the same was true of acupuncture.
Katara had begun cooling the aloe vera before placing it against his skin but there were only so many times she could to that without giving him frostbite. Zuko was lying against her chest mumbling what she interpreted as “it hurts” while tears streamed from his eyes. She could not help but to feel sorry for him. He had been raised to think admitting pain was a sign of weakness. He had barely flinched while Amayu removed his skin and the decaying tissue but now he was crying against her chest like an infant. She was massaging his hands and scalp like Ty Lee showed her but it didn’t seem to be working as well.Katara tried to think back to all the pain relief methods she’d seen and heard after the raid on her village and their storehouses had been set on fire. They were able to salvage more than they expected but the raid had taken place in the fall. They wouldn’t have been able to fully restock their supplies until the Earth Kingdom traders arrived in the spring and there was fear they would run out of medicine during the middle of winter. Some of the injured adults had voluntarily reduced the amount they were taking thinking the tribe would be better off if it were saved for the children that might become ill during the winter.Katara would never forget delivering food to the healing huts and seeing women baring their breasts and cradling their husbands as if they were infants. Her Aunt Yuki had introduced her to the concept of soul memories: things a person never forgot as they aged even if they couldn’t consciously recall them. Seeking warmth and taking comfort were a part of them. Soul memories were why as those who lived to advanced ages reverted to a childlike state and why sick children, regardless of age, cried for their mothers. Their souls remembered the happiness and contentment of being babies in their mother arms. Being held by their wives and sucking their breasts helped the injured men to remember the feeling of being surrounded by such pure love. The feeling of comfort took their pain away and helped them to heal.Katara bit her lip as she studied Zuko. His were closed and his face was scrunched up. When he realized she was staring he smiled weakly and tried to put on a brave front, “I’m okay Katara.” His voice was strained and even if the tears were not falling she could hear how much he was hurting. She didn’t love Zuko but he had gotten injured protecting her. He had hurt her so much and in so many ways but he was in such bad condition because he shielded her. If he had not covered her body with his and allowed himself to be stoned she would be dying if not dead and so would her brother. Antibiotics only did so much and no one in the Fire Nation was capable of removing the tainted blood. If she were dead Zuko would have no reason to protect Sokka. She waited until he had fallen into a state of unconsciousness, she couldn’t really call it sleep since she knew he had passed out from the pain, to adjust her shirt and loosen her wraps to expose her breast. She shifted slowly and carefully so that his lips were against her nipple and his head was cradling against her arm. She rubbed it against his lips a few times and after a while they parted. She leaned forward, pushing her breast into his mouth then gently coaxed his mouth closed. He needed no further encouragement to start sucking. Katara stroked his hair and began singing a lullaby as the tension left his face and body. He looked so happy and peaceful. Soon a sense of calm began to wash over her. This didn’t feel like any of the other times his mouth had been on breast and his tongue lapping at her nipple. There was nothing arousing or sexual about it. If anything she was slowly starting to relax; they both were. Katara assumed it was only because Amayu had given her a tea to settle her nerves after everything that had transpired earlier. She didn’t know it was because her Aunt Yuki had deemed her too young to learn that intimate acts especially those of a non-sexual nature also inspired feelings of devotion and pure love between a couple. She fell asleep with her cheek against his forehead and palm resting against his scar.
Katara and Zuko were still asleep when Amayu sent Mu to check on them. There had been another battle between rebels and 58th’s division supply convoy. They had suffered heavily casualties before messenger hawks begging for reinforcements reached the main group and arrival of the rovers. Amayu didn’t want to send Mu to check on them but she and Toshio were needed in the infirmary. The veterinarian had done all he could for the animals and there was no one else she could trust to look in on them without arousing suspicion.
Mu’s heart was heavy as walked to the hotel. Many of the animals used for battle and farming were injured or had killed in battle. He had to put nine down and was unsure if two dozen more would make it. He was physically ill after making the decision that the loyal mounts who died protecting their masters would not be fully committed to Agni. There were too many hungry people in the village to cremate their bodies as befitting their service. They were not Fire Nation, but hungry children were hungry children. He would never be able to face himself, his mother, his father or his wife if he allowed those noble beasts their final reward at the expense of those who truly could benefit from their sacrifice. Mu said the prayers to bless them and guide their spirits into the heavens while burning their hearts and eyes in the funerary ceremony before skinning and butchering them himself to ensure that no part was wasted. He knew that Fan would do them proper justice as the aged cook asked Kentaro to build a smoke house as well as enormous fire pit to preserve the meat. Fan also had him craft a pot large enough to stew the bones. He felt even worse about the things he’d said to Katara after Fan told him how she’d purchased bones, sinews, tendons and organs then asked him to prepare them for the refugees. Most people never looked beyond the prime cuts to see the true value in the life of an animal. The room was too quiet as he slid the key in the door. He peeped around the privacy screen expecting to find both of them sleeping but he wasn’t prepared to see Katara nursing his friend as they slept. He placed the items Amayu had asked him to bring on the coffee table, took one more glance at his sleeping friend and the Waterbender then swore. Unable to fight the heaviness seeping into his heart, he leaned against the wall. It was cool against his back as his feet slid outward until he was sitting on the floor. He’d joined the Navy after being transferred from the Army's 41st division at the suggestion of his Mother. The Southern Water Tribe had joined the fray but they were without Waterbenders. Their sailing skills were unmatched but their ships were primitive. They could easily be defeated so long as they weren't allowed within striking range. Unlike foot soldiers who couldn't Firebend ships were too valuable to be used a bait and discarded. Their crews were given orders to retreat and use their catapults against any pursuing Water Tribe ships. The Naval Veterinary Corp should have been his ticket to a long healthy life.No one expected Zhao to find the earthly lair of the moon and launch an attack against the Northern Water Tribe. His ship had been one of those in the rear carrying animals and supplies to be used once the Northern Water Tribe was conquered. The last thing Mu remembered about the failed invasion was seeing another warship speeding towards them and rushing to move the animals to the other side of the ship prior to impact. He didn’t remember releasing the eelhounds so they could retrieve the injured, helping them on board and placing those in danger of hypothermia beneath hay. He didn’t remember bringing the cowhippos on deck to act as a counterbalance when they were struck a second time and both ships were in danger of sinking. He definitely didn’t remember hitting his head or that he did all of those things attributed to him by several witnesses including Chu-hua while bleeding. He was told that he'd collapsed after making sure the animals and his fellow soldiers were seen to. He’d been told he had earned him the rank of lieutenant for those brave selfless actions and the honor of serving on the Ursa after being released from the hospital. The first thing he remembered was waking up to his best friend holding him like Katara was holding Zuko despite Quanli's promotion to head of security forces in Omashu. The civilians had been the true deterrent to rebel activity and it quickly devolved to an urban battleground after their evacuation. He thought he had dreamed of her telling him how she had used the mail slides to escape her command post and then hiding in a coal shipment to cross the ocean then in an ash banana boat to go from island to island then stealing eelhounds one after the other to get to his side.Quanli had done the impossible to get to him and paid a heavy price. No one went AWOL in the Fire Nation army. She was stripped of her ranking and branded. Only her combined status as General Khan’s granddaughter, General Fei Lee’s daughter, and the Fire Lord’s cousin kept her from facing the death penalty. Her special skills kept her from being jailed. She escaped from each one they put her in only to be promptly found at the hospital by his side. She was currently on house arrest under the custody of his parents, General Niu of the Fire Nation Army, Calvary Division and Retired Major Hinata of the Fire Nation Medical Corp. A significant part of her negotiated arrangement was to overhaul the Fire Nation penal system to make each one inescapable. The two of them were married as soon as his parents deemed him in his right and mind capable of making such a profound decision and hers learned that he had been the recipient of her virginity as well as the person who spirited her away from the husband they had chosen.Quanli wife would be ashamed of him for speaking to a woman in such a cruel manner, especially one who was loved by her favorite little cousin. Like him she also saw Zuko as the younger brother her parents had never given to her and thought his dumb ass needed to be looked after. Mu brought his knees to his chest, folded his arms on top of them, and stared out of the window. Katara had called the moon her friend Yue; he called it Quan. Ever since they were children and the annoying girl his mom brought to their house had to go home he would look at it and talk to her knowing that far away in their territory she was speaking to the moon and calling it by his name.
Katara was woken by Zuko’s shifting. She opened her eyes and peered down at him. He looked confused; like an infant upon waking. She smiled as he yawned deeply while muttering, “I need to use the restroom.”
Careful not to jostle him too much, Katara slid from beneath Zuko and righted her top. She noticed Mu as she was walking to the drawer to retrieve socks to cover Zuko’s feet so she could cover them with ice and slide him across the floor. She said nothing to him as she scooped stew from the large pot and placed it in a smaller one and set it closer to the fire before disappearing behind the screen or when he assisted her with getting the prince on his feet.Mu stoked the fire and placed some of the hot ashes in the censer along with the calming incense he’d been given by Amayu while Katara went inside the restroom with Zuko. He moved closer to the window as he learned the true extent of her devotion. The liver was the bodies filtration system; the more impurities inside the body, the fouler the stench when it came out. He turned his head expecting to see her come out or at least crack open the door but she remained inside until Zuko was able to come out with her. This time instead of going immediately to the bed she helped Zuko into the chair after bending antiseptic over it. She fed him. Even though he’d burned her earlier with a hot bowl of stew, she approached him with another piping hot bowl without hesitation. Mu watched as she took her time feeding Zuko, waiting on his half asleep friend to swallow before calling his name and giving him another spoonful. When he was done eating she stepped closer to him so he could lean against her instead of the blanket covered chair back as she bended some of Ming’s cooled tea against his lips. Even though chamomile was a drug Amayu had said adding a few leaves to the tea would be good for him as it had anti-inflammatory properties and helped prevent upset stomach. Mu watched as Katara closed her eyes and fell asleep standing. She was giving the food inside Zuko’s stomach time to settle and lessen the chance he would throw up as he slept. “Katara,” Mu called her name softly so as not to startle her as he approached her side, “I’ll hold him if you want to get something to eat.”She nodded and quietly thanked him before stepping away. Mu wasn’t surprised when she carried her bowl across the room to eat in the moon beams. Katara had finished eating and was gathering the strength to rise and walk across the room when she heard singing.“Leap little froggy, leap, leap, leap Agni’s watching over you until you go to sleep. Rest little froggy, close your eyes, Kali will keep you until sunrise. Dream little froggy dream, dream, dream. Dream of happy and pleasant things.”Mu repeated the song twice before noticing Katara was watching him. He smiled and stroked Zuko’s hair, “My Mom has a lullaby for each child ever placed under her care. This is the one she made up for Zuko. He was scrawny when he was younger; she said he was all elbows, knees, and limbs like a lemur-frog.”Katara nodded and yawned as she pushed herself to her feet. She washed the dishes she’d used then went to the restroom. When she returned Mu was once again singing. He stopped when she bent all of the hot water from a large pot on the hearth. He relaxed as she lowered it into a small tub where she added soap and antiseptic before washing their bedding including the mattress. He realized she had not used all of the hot water to clean the bed when she lifted more from the pot, guided it to a different tub and this time only added a small amount of antiseptic.“Mu, do you mind stepping to the other side of the privacy screen? I need to bathe him,” Katara asked quietly. He thought she was going to use her bending until he saw her stooping to push the tub forward. He wordlessly moved it closer to Zuko. She thanked him as she walked to the linen closet to get the towels and a change of underwear for Zuko. All of Amayu’s words came rushing back to him as he watched the shadows moving behind the screen. Katara did indeed feed, bathe ,and wipe Zuko’s ass while he did nothing. He had been so incredibly wrong to say such harsh things to her. He too had seen blood poisoning and knew of the standard surgical treatment. It had only been two days but Zuko was at a stage most were lucky to reach after a week of healing.Once she was finished with Zuko, Katara guided what truly was the last of the hot water into a basin which she carried along with a pitcher and a change of clothing into the restroom. When she came out she lifted all of the dirty water and evenly dispersed it onto the recently plowed land below. She yawned and for the first time Mu noticed her movements. Her shoulders were slumped and her steps bordered on limping. He knew Zuko had burned her then fallen on top of her after they finished fucking but he now he was starting to suspect she had suffered from additional injuries. Ty Lee had said Katara collapsed when she reached the Ursa House.Zuko had beaten her on the way to his city. Mu had been injured enough times to know the soreness remained long after the bruises were gone. Zuko had beaten her but she was doing all she could to help him. Mu moved without being asked, knowing full well she wouldn’t, to help her get Zuko back into bed. To his surprise Katara once again guided Zuko so he was lying on top of her. She winced as she lifted her hips and wriggled supporting his weight as she moved them to the center of the bed. She made sure he was comfortable before putting another pillow behind her head so she was propped up in what was undoubtedly an uncomfortable position.Mu lowered himself to the floor, prostrating himself in front of Katara, “I apologize for the things I said to you. I was out of line. I was worried about Zuko and angry at him for insisting upon acting stupid. I should not have directed that anger at you. He would be doing far worse if not for you. I see now that I was wrong in thinking you were selfish and had no regard for him. If you were a true wife I doubt he would receive better care. I most certainly know his fiancée would not go through such lengths for him. I am truly sorry for thinking so ill of you and saying such cruel words.”Mu lifted his face to look at the Waterbender, “He is the prince and I am a minor noble but we do not have a superficial acquaintanceship based on our titles and stations. My paternal grandfather and his maternal grandfather are best friends. My father grew up with Chu-hua and considers her and Princess Ursa to be his sisters. He served under General Iroh and has the highest respect for him. My older brother Wei was born on the same day as Prince Lu Ten. They were best friends. When Lu Ten would come to my house, he would often bring Zuko with him. When Wei would go to the palace he would take me as well. Zuko is the younger brother I’ve never had. Mai is my Azula. But Zuko isn’t like Mai or Azula; he needs someone to look out for him.”“Seeing him like that, so close to death reminded me of all the times I’ve failed him,” Mu whispered quietly. “I was angry at myself, still am angry at myself for not questioning him harder and accepting his half-truths when I noticed how stiffly he was moving. Zuko, Jianjun and Jianguo are among the handful of people I trust with my life. Zuko was the first person outside my immediate family to see me as me, not Lord General Niu and Lady Hinata’s youngest son, Wei’s quiet little brother or someone’s weird grandson or nephew. He simply saw Mu."I was in the first five minutes of my compulsory education at the Royal Academy when I realized how singularly important that is. I can’t lose him, Katara. He’s my best friend and the first person to see me as a person. I would be dead if it weren’t for him. I can’t…I can’t let him die because of my inattention. I can’t let him down like that again.”Katara tilted her head to look at him. His voice was shaking. He was crying. She hid her head behind Zuko’s again so she wouldn’t have to see him but after listening to Zuko’s incoherent sobs the day of his surgery Mu’s were perfectly discernible. The words were out of her lips before she realized she had spoken them, “Stop.”She repeated herself more sternly when he continued, “Stop.”Mu wiped his face and looked at her.“He doesn’t see it that way,” she sighed.“But…” Mu blubbered. He had been explaining how guilty he felt every time he saw Zuko knowing that saving his life had caused Ozai to burn him.Katara bit her lips, not sure of what to say or how much Zuko wanted her to reveal. She finally decided to be truthful with the nobleman kneeling at her side and crying because was worried about his friend, “Zuko told me everything. About your time at school, the war meeting, that you, the Zhao twins, and the people we met were all in that division.”Katara nuzzled Zuko’s scarred cheek and exhaled softly, “He doesn’t blame you. Being around you makes it easier to look in the mirror and face what was done to him. It’s become a source of pride for him; knowing how far he would go to protect his people, to protect his friends. He told me he would do it again. If it would save your lives it would be worth his father burning him again.”“He said that?” Mu asked in disbelief.Katara nodded.“Zuko said that? He told you that? He told you all those things?” Mu questioned once again taking stock of the Waterbender and how she was cradling his friend. Zuko had always been a private person but after his mother and Lu Ten died getting him to open up was like milking a Gila-goat; damn near impossible. “He told you all of that?”“I’m not Fire Nation and he already knows I want to kill him. I don’t have a reason to hide my motives and I want nothing from him. I gain nothing from knowing his secrets or revealing them. He has shown and done his worse to me. He knows I expect nothing from him so he trusts me,” Katara explained as she realized she confided in Zuko based on the same logic.“You care for him,” Mu uttered in amazement. Her voice became softer and there was change in her expression as she placed her face closer to his. Zhao 1 had arrived at the conclusion after spending the early morning with them but he and Zhao 2 thought it to be the product of his hangover.“I hate him,” Katara corrected, “but even enemies are worthy of compassion.”Mu bowed again, this time placing his forehead on the floor. Her words were cruel and spoken with finality but the softness had not left her voice or expression, “I apologize again for the things I said to you. They were out of line. I know I am not worthy of forgiveness and there is nothing I can do to retrieve them. Thank you for taking the time to speak to me and enlightening me with your wisdom.”Mu rose, “Lady Ursa would have liked you. If you ever get the chance you should meet Lady Nima. She is Zuko’s paternal step-grandmother and my grandmother by marriage. She would like you and I have a feeling that the two of you would get along very well. Grammy Nima also has a quiet understated way of making people feel like shit for their foolish words and actions. Fortunately my wife Quanli did not inherit that ability; I sincerely hope it is not a skill that you are capable of teaching her.”When Katara frowned in confusion Mu's lips upturned slightly and he spoke, “I know a life with Zuko is not what you want but my family has been intertwined with his for several generations. I see no reason to discontinue that bond. Quanli and Zuko are second cousins, Mai is my cousin and his betrothed, but you Lady Katara are the one he chose. You are special. Zuko has had enough hardship and misery in his life; he deserves happiness. The spirits placed you two together for a reason.”He walked quietly to the bed and pressed a kiss on Zuko’s forehead, “Rest well little brother. I am kicking your ass for making me worry when you are capable of fighting.”
Katara watched Mu leave the room. She never would have guessed that someone as proud as Mu would have bowed and apologized or cry in front of her. She had misjudged him as being more like his cousin and less like his friend. She mussed Zuko’s hair, relaxing further as the thick locks slid between her fingers. Mu was right; she did care for him. It was getting harder to deny even to herself. Unlike on the ship when she was hiding her pain within delusions she knew this was simply because he was there.
She didn't mind being alone but the level of solitude she'd experienced since her capture scared her. The time spent locked away, cut off from everything she knew and loved while drugged with a mute masked captor exposed a vulnerability she'd never faced. The people of the Southern Water Tribe were not made for solitude. Shunning as it was most often defined in their laws meant no frivolous social contact. Those shunned still were allowed to trade and conduct business necessary to sustain life. Only the most heinous crimes warranted total isolation. After living in small homes which held heat, sleeping in close quarters during the winter to maintain warmth, hunting, fishing, weaving, tool making and performing other chores in groups prolonged isolation was a death sentence. The number of suicides by people forced to live without any human contact had led to multiple penal code revisions. She would never tell Zuko but she no longer inadvertently snuggled against him seeking warmth; most nights the contact was deliberate. She'd intentionally wrap herself around him just to make sure he was still there and hadn't sold her. Each cry of "traitor", "whore", "betrayer" from the Earth Kingdom people and Sokka's rejection created more cracks but Zuko's kindness was like a balm to those wounds. He raped her, stole her virginity and her ability to bear children but he had also killed for her, was willing to die for her, and unlike the brother she trusted was proving he would be there whether she wanted him to or not. She cared for him and was starting to see him as a friend, possibly more. It was stupid, dangerous, and so very stupid of her but she'd often heard of animals gnawing on themselves in times of extreme distress. She knew latching on to his protectiveness and kindness was akin to a snake eating its own tail or a trapped wolf chewing off its paw but the fact Zuko was always there when she felt desperately so alone was comforting. She knew that if everyone in the world rejected her, Zuko, with his uncanny ability to understand her thoughts, would find a way to chase away her feelings of isolation. She also knew that regardless of how it happened, when it happened, or where, there would probably be a smile on his face as he died by her hand. If she knew him as well as she thought he did his last words would probably be "don't cry."She inhaled slowly, the pungent scent of eucalyptus and cannabis filling her lungs from the small pot of medicinal incense Mu had lit earlier to soothe Zuko. She closed her eyes and tried not to think of how Zuko’s warm breath ghosting across her collarbone sounded eerily like the winter snow falling and was somehow just as comforting.
Kain: It makes my head spin and heart race to know something I’ve written causes such strong emotional reactions. You are so good for my ego!
Why? Because I don’t believe in perfect saviors.
At this point in canon Aang knows he’s cut off from the cosmic energy and not really ready to face the Fire Lord or his responsibility as Avatar. The nightmares before the invasion and his reluctance to kill the Melon Lord show his insecurities. He joins the fight both times which is commendable and a sign of maturity but like Roku, he still seeks an easy way out. Aang understands ending the war is something he must do but he isn’t at a stage in his development where he’s willing to step outside of his life is sacred comfort zone and strike a decisive blow.
Storywise, Aang is still be sheltered and lied to but I promise you, he will begin to wake up and ask questions.
A prompt ? The random plot bunnies in my skull all perked up and said “new friend? Where? Where?” The part of me anchored to the real world saw this story, and few others flash through my mind along with how to get it all done, keep a job, take care of my family and remain sane…at which point the plot bunnies grew exponentially, multiplied, and began jumping up and down while smiling maniacally, “Well take care of your sanity.”
Raa.Maa.Daa.Saa.Hung: Thank you for your review for The World on a Silver Platter. Please don’t think I’ve been ignoring you but the truth is I just don’t know if it will remain a one shot or there will be other chapters. There is a Katara shaped plot bunny running around in my head screaming for her turn to dominate but the idea juices aren’t yielding the right flow...yet?
