Chapter 10: Shadows Of The Empire
9, October 2027 AD, 13:02 Pm (Earth's Time)

Milky Way Galaxy, Human's Solar System, Earth's orbit.
The Royal Dreadnought reached to the destination...Earth. The massive ship above over the Executor
Royal Dreadnought interior, Main bridge.
Admiral Rubicon left the elevator and proceeds to the main bridge. She approached Emperor Carnelian who enjoys the view of Earth.
"My lord," Admiral Rubicon salutes in Imperial style.
"Speak, " Carnelian says without looking a the admiral, he is defiantly is not in the mood to bother.
"My, lord. About eight hours of Earth's time, Prime Kindergarten was destroyed by Redstone's division. He-"
"I should not be surprised." Carnelian interrupts "He is clumsy as he is stupid..." He points his finger on her "yet he is too valuable for the war against Ellysians, Rubicon."
"He felt that destroying the Kindergarten would decrease mutant's presence on Earth."
Carnelian turns around "Admiral, you may go. I will deal with problem personally."
"As you says, Lord Carnelian" Rubicon bows and leaves her Emperor.
Carnelian then opened his holographic screen and opened the transmission to the Executor's antenna. Grand Colonel Redstone showed up on the screen after static.
"My lord?" Redstone asks unconfidently.
"Grand Colonel, what the fuck happened on Prime Kindergarten?" He used Human's curse word.
"We had an accident down there."
"So accident involves bombing the hell out Kindergarten for a just bunch of mutants?"
"I admit my lord. I overestimated mutants ability to fight back...I" Redstone looks right for a moment "I completely fuck it up, my lord.'
"Your brains will be "Fucked up" by me if YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR ENTIRE ARMY!" Carnelian lost his temper "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT'S COST ME TO BUIL ANOTHER KINDERGARTEN!" He slammed his fist on the panel. The crew looked at their angry leader
"My lord, with all respect but Grand Colonel doesn't have time with this" Redstone's quartermaster appeared on the screen "He is very busy with dealing-"
Quartermaster began to choke as Carnelian used his ability. "It's me who should give my respect to you, Quartermaster."
"Redstone..." Carnelian says very calmly or at least trying to be calm
"Sir?" Redstone saluted again though he wished he did not to this piece of shit Emperor
"If something like this accident will happen again...then consider yourself as "Admiral Redstone" Carnelian slightly leaned forward "Are we clear?"
Redstone quietly growled so that Carnelian can't hear him "Yes...my lord."
"Excellent...and one more thing Redstone..." Carnelian clenched his hand and Quartermaster's gemstone was cracked. She fell on the floor and poofed into the Gemstone's shards. "Don't fail me again."
"As you wish" Redstone nods.
Carnelian then ended the transmission. He quickly removed his mask and got his chill pills. "Fucking rock idiots." He ate the pill and put his mask on before concentrating on his task.
"If I was Steven...where I would find a fast ship?" Carnelian caresses the surface of his mask, thinking of the possible ship that his grandson can use to escape from him again.
"Of course" Carnelian hissed before he pulled out his small device. He pushed a button. It formed a holographic figure of Phantom Pearl Head Sister on the device.
"Head Sister. How are your searches for Universe?"
"No results, my lord. One of my Phantoms let him go." Head sister nervously stroked her fingers.
"That Pearl..." Carnelian narrowed his eyes inside his mask, that specific Pearl caught him more attention than anyone else for her attitude. She is defiantly a special Pearl. "Anyway, Steven Universe will try to capture SVE Gemia inside the Nova Base. Try to stop him."
"For the Empire!" Head Sister salutes before Carnelian ended the transmission. He then approached the window to look at Earth's orbit again...and probably to wait for Steven to attack the base.
Earth, Terra Novian States of America, North Florida, Beach City
The trip would have been boring if not only the tail of Ryder's and Gray's adventures made them listen to them. Mostly they all spent chatting, talking about politics or just simply having a great time. Steven glad that they all keep old spirit even in hard times. It's great.
Yellow Diamond is sleeping on Steven's lap. Apparently, the poor yellow girl can't handle long trips in vans. Maeby that's the reason she always gets tired and wants to sleep.
Steven looked at Peridot who is a having a huge cat smile on her face.
"Peridot?" He asks as why she looks at him like that
"I ship both of you" She "cat" smiles at him
Steven gave her a confused expression in response, only to realize that Peridot supports his "ship" with Yellow Diamond. "You really creeping me out, Peri."
"You're not only one, Steven" Gray comments, gazing at her expression.
"Bah, I'm not a creepy...I'm fabulous!" She held her hands together.
"Aha, " Steven agreed before he looked at Ryder "Ryder, what you know about the base?"
"Simple base" Ryder shrugs "It's more like where the Empire building their Air vehicles to maintain their control over the region."
"Anything else you know? Like the garrison, some advantages or something that can help us out?"
"No, I never was on that base."
"Fine then" Steven supported his head with his hand and began to listen to Gray's stories. Until the radio switched to Earths News.
"Good afternoon, My name is Jessica Miler and today we are bringing news to the Earth."
The gang became silent as they want to hear it what the reporter will say.
"Today marks the anniversary of Treaty Of Reichstag where Kaiser Wilhelm II, Charles De Gaulle, and Winston Churchill signed a treaty to fully return Reichsland Elsaß-Lothringen back to France after the border incident, this led two countries to create a union that in the future will know as the European Union. Today, Many Germans and French People celebrate the day of the end of 1-century hostility between two nations."
"So much for that Union today" Greg comments, adding a small chuckle in the end.
"In other news. Administrator Cravchenko will visit Gem's Homeworld to discuss the future of Homeworld's Pact. Administrator hopes that Terra Nova can leave the coalition peacefully without preventing any violence to Earth, saying that the Humanity suffered enough during her presence in the Galaxy."
"Good luck. Our Empire is not easy to persuade." Gray rolled his eyes.
"Today, many scientists from all around the Earth gathered to the ceremony on West Black Mesa Research Facility near the Empire City. Notable scientists and doctors such as Doctor Freeman, Kleiner, Breen, and Maheswaran were on the ceremony. Terra Nova didn't give any information for what purpose it was attended. That's it for today folks and have a wonderful day."
"Well, that explains why she left that quickly" Steven mumbled to himself before looking at others while listening some jazz.
10 Minutes later
Suddenly, Ryder's Gem-boy began making beeping sounds. He checked to see what is going on.
"Stop, we here." He says after checking it.
Greg stopped the van on the edge of the road. Steven shook Yellow's arm to wake her up. She opened her eyes and yawned "What did I miss?"
"We arrived, Yellow. Soon we leave the planet."
"Finally, I really miss space" She giggled.
All Gems with Greg and Clody left the van. Gray zoomed his helmet interface to the base. Trees are covering the whole base but the long tower can be seen."
"Defiantly we are going to fight our way trough." Gray turns around to them.
"Or we can use stealth to take it back, " Steven add his variant.
"I agree wit the hybrid. The Empire can send reinforcements any second. We have to be unnoticed" Peridot crossed her arms.
"I have a name, Dorito" Steven crossed his arms too and snarled at her.
"Greg," Gray begins "Can you look for any oncoming reinforcements and report to us?"
"How, kid?"
Gray hands him an earphone "Just push a button on it and say words to us. Once you will see SVE Gemia on the air, leave the place before the Empire will release about why are you here."
"Understood," He attached it to his ear.
"So.." Ryder says "Are we ready to roll?"
"Go without me, guys, I will need to say some words to my father."
They nodded it. They moved a little bit further so that Steven and Greg could have final chat. "Yet again, you are leaving your father alone."
"You could join us, father. Maeby you will see some interesting worlds." Steven smiled
Greg laughed "My bones too old for this, Steven. And I'm just going to interfere you with your progress."
"Then what you will do here?"
"Well...Aveline is growing, maybe I can be her like "not real grandfather". She always liked me and Connie never objected my time with Aveline."
"I understand. Aveline needs it more than I..." Steven lowers his eyes, looking at the ground.
"Sounds like you don't want to leave Earth, kiddo. "
"I...I just I never wished for this. I never wished to be a hybrid, father. I just wished to be as a normal human as you. I really wished to see you and my mother. And live on Earth like a normal kid."
"You know, I always thought that Earth will doom herself until you came along. You still have a chance to make things right. That's the reason why I'm proud of you, Steven. A hybrid or not you still my son that I respect and love."
They embraced each other for the final goodbye, without saying any word.
Then they released each other. Greg patted on Steven's shoulder." One more thing. If you see your Grandfather. Tell him, that he is far worse than me in parenting business."
Steven smirked."I will, father."
"Goodluck, kiddo. And remember what Pearl taught you: be patient."
Steven, before going deeper into the forest looked at his father. A small single tear comes down from Greg's face as he is not gonna see his son for a long time. Steven closed his eyes from this thoughts and ventured to the forest and rejoined to his friends, Gray is observing the entrance of the base.
"Anything new?" Steven crouched near Gray.
"We have a problem" Gray points forward "Two Striders фку guarding the main gate."
He didn't lie. There is two three leg's machines are guarding the main entrance. They are using their warp cannons as flashlights to observe the area. "Crap...what are we going to do?"
"Let me think about it..." Gray caress his mask part of his helmet, thinking about variants to inflitrate the base.
Suddenly, they all began to hear truck's engines from the distance. "Gray, there is a truck heading to the base," Greg said trough's Gray's helmet earplug system.
"Understood, " Gray says. Then all Gems hide inside the bushes to be more unnoticeable.
A Military Truck with Gemirian Imperial Eagle on the container drove passed them and stopped in front the massive gates. Two Striders prepared themselves for anything. Then Combat Imperial Peridot left her cabin and approached the truck.
The Truck driver left his truck too. Strangely, he looks like a human by the body form. He wears a red mask on his face with the red vest, leather boots, and dark red uniform with Terra Nova's emblem. "Where have you been? You were supposed to deliver the container an hour ago!" Imperial Peridot scowled at him, it has to be some kind of vocoder that changes her voice into more deep and menacing
"Problems on the traffic. They were solved by Terra Nova" the human soldier has vocoder too.
"Did the container was damaged?"
"Negative."
"Good, these parasites can do something that every Gems is afraid off..." Imperial Peridot explained as she looked at the container, the goosebumps appeared on her body as she knows what inside it. Curse these creatures. "Alright, there is no reason to keep you here." Peridot walked away from him. The driver entered his truck while Imperial Peridot approached to the intercom "OPEN THE GATE!" The Big metal doors slide to different directions. Striders calmed down and let the driver enter the main base. The truck entered and metallic doors closed again.
"Gray, what is the hell that guy was?" Steven asks.
"Look's like a TransHuman soldier."
"A what?" Steven whispered.
"Basically human soldier with Gem's implants." Gray checks his Gem-Boy for more information "According to the Empire, some human soldiers were used for studying them. I guess since Terra Nova and Gemirian Empire are bud-buddies then it's mean the Empire improves humans warriors by implanting them. Horrible but effective for the Empire.
"Those sons of bitches." Steven cursed "Terra Nova licks Empire's ass while they turning remaining humans into the machines. How pitiful from Terra Nova to let them do with their own population."
"I'm really sorry, Steven," Yellow whispered to him.
"Don't be...at least your father wanted to destroy it while my grandfather wants to make us as his slaves...can't believe how we just let it happen."
"Don't worry. Every Empire is stoppable." Gray laid his hand on Steven's shoulder "Diamond Empire fell...and Gemirian Empire will too."
"Thanks," Steven said, without looking at Gray.
Nobody said any word to him until Peridot crawled to them "Guys, Clody found something that needs your attention"
They crawled to where Peridot stoped. Clody flashlights the manhole for them to see it. "It's just random manhole" Gray didn't get what she wants from them.
"Not a random, you bucket head" Peridot smacked Gray by his helmet
Clody showed a holographic map plan of the base from his scanner "This manhole leads to the base's courtyard or specifically near the main door to the base's interiors. The luck is on our side." Peridot made unnoticeable "yes" sound
"Not bad, Peridot. Not bad at all" Steven comments, slowing nodding.
"What can I say?" She shrugged her shoulders "I'm the best."
Her words made Clody push his master to the ground as the protest that she did nothing to find the manhole. "Looks like your droid disapproves that you're the best, Peridot." Steven crossed his arms, grinning at lying Peridot.
"He is just a clod" Peridot muffled to the ground.
"Aha," Steven raised his head to Eyebot "Clody, can you open the manhole?"
Clody after the making happy beep sounds shaped into spider droid. He starts cutting the manhole with his laser, making it a proper circle. The Clody stopped and let Steven interact with it. He grabbed the hatch and laid it near.
Steven looked down, nothing is visible for him "So...who is gonna be first?" Ryder said unconfidently
"Well...the one who is well equipped." Everyone looked at Gray who crossed his arms, "You guys are fucking assholes."
"It's Not our problem that you look like Storm Trooper from Star Wars." Steven comments.
"Ugh fine." Gray then jumped down to the sewer. Then the sound of splash can be heard from down the sewer "Ugh, fucking smell" Gray cursed down in the sewer.
"You okay?" Steven asks
"Yeah, don't worry. You won't break your legs."
The first was Steven to jump down. He landed on the dirty water. The smell...god the smell...and it's really dark even with Gray's flashlight on. "Hell...why Gems need sewer systems?" He mumbled to himself before he raised his head "Hey girls. You're the last one to enter this "Hellhole."
Yellow cleared her throat as she is about to face her fear "Peridot, you're the next"
"Why me?" Peridot crossed her arm.
"Because I'm Diamond, you fuck!" Celiana snarled
"We don't serve Diamonds anymore. Everyone is equal so you-"
Celiana momentarily pushed Peridot to the hole. Peridot didn't have a chance to react and fell down to the sewer with some splash in the end. "I HATE YOU, MY DIAMOND!"
"That's for calling me a "clod"!" Yellow then quietly and evilly laughed as she finally had a revenge on the one who insulted her a long time ago. Without any goofing around, she jumped down into the sewer.
Unluckily for her, once she landed, slipped over something and fell on the water completely, she screamed as she can feel dirty water on her face.
Steven grabbed her by the arm and pulled out her from the water. "GROSS!"
"What's the matter, Yellow. Don't like Earth's proudness?" Steven joked while Peridot quietly laughed at Yellow Diamond
"Of course not! Smells like someone dropped dead weazel-tittel here!" Yellow tried to wipe out the water on her face.
Gray moved his flashlight around. It appears there is only one way is a straight direction. "Well, at least it won't be that long..."
"Gray...you know that you always not right" Peridot points out.
"It's not true" Gray growled
4 minutes later...
"I take it back what I said" Gray sighed as helped out Peridot to maneuver in water while Steven helps out Yellow Diamond to not fall. Ryder is just moving by his own with Spider Clody on his shoulder.
They reached the dead end. Gray looked up, there is hatch up there. "Looks like we under the base." Gray climbed up, he looked at the hatch that has some kind of lock device. "Peridot, there is some device that needs your attention." Gray climbed down to let Peridot check it out.
"My attention huh?" Peridot chuckled as she climbed up to check what type of lock device is this "It's will be easy." She confidently says
Peridot activated the lock device and somehow managed to hack the device in 30 seconds. The screen flashed in green, accepting the new code. Peridot tried to raise the hatch but it's too heavy "Little help please!" She grunted.
Steven climbed up and helped her to raise it. The lights hit their faces as they opened it completely. Peridot climbed up from the hole and checked if nobody near them before she showed that everything is clear. There are two trucks covering their position so that nobody can see them.
Steven was the second, then Gray with Yellow Diamond and last was Ryder with Clody. "Creators, I defiantly need a shower after this" Ryder mumbled to himself as he checks his dirty pilot uniform.
Steven examined the surroundings. Damn The Empire, they really well settled here: a bunch of military crates with God knows what. Some tanks, armored Gemirian cars and even deactivated GAT-AT walkers stationed here.
"So, stage one we completed. Now, what?" Steven asked Gray quietly.
Gray took cover by the truck, he peeked out to examine the courtyard. It's filled with Imperials and one Strider that patrols the area with a flashlight on it.
"Crap, the garrison is heavy here," Gray mumbled to himself. He noticed the main door that nobody guards it.
"Gray, can you hear me?" A feminine voice ringed his earplug. Sounds like Phantom Pearl unit said that.
"Wait...who are you?" Gray said trough his earplug.
"Give your ear plug to Steven. I need to talk with him."
Gray exhaled before he detached his earplug and handed to Steven "Someone want's to talk with you."
Steven grabbed from Gray's hand and attached it to his ear "Yes? Who is this?"
"Steven, it's me Pearl." Even without 20 seconds, Steven can recognize her voice. He smiled that he hears her sweet voice "It's good to see you again, Pearl."
"Can you see me at the top of the tower?" Steven raised his head to see waving Pearl sitting on top of it. "Yeah, I see you."
"Listen, other Phantoms are here and will wait for you. I can provide a distraction while you sneak the pass to the main entrance."
"You can do that?" Steven says with disbelief.
"I do. The alarms will go on the south sector, many Gems stationed here will move to it, this will give a chance to quickly run to the entrance."
"Will do," Steven said before they ended their conversation.
Pearl jumped down from the tower to the rooftop. With some climbing and jumping, she reached to the big cisterns that are really located pretty high from the ground. They filled with Homeworld's oil that if someone ignites it: it will explode.
Pearl exhaled as she glanced at cistern "So civilized I become. Even Amethyst would not do this" Pearl mocked herself before she pulled out the time bomb from her handy bag and attached it to the wall. She typed the code to begin the ignition. The bomb's screen flashed in the green and showed the countdown before the explosion will happen.
"Defective!" A deep robotic voice of the another Phantom Pearl shouted exclaimed.
Pearl quickly turned his head to the right, only to face' kicked by Phantom's foot. Pearl fell on the metal floor, grunting as she regains vision.
Phantom Pearl aimed her musket-rifle (That's how Homeworld calls this type of weaponry) at Pearl's head and pulled a trigger. Nothing happens, it appears her musket is jammed. Phantom growled as she tries to unjam it.
Finding a moment to attack, Pearl got up by grabbing the edge of musket's barrel and punched right into Phantom Pearl's masked face. Phantom Pearl accidently let her musket to fall down. Phantom stroked her masked face before she saw Pearl standing in defensive stance, waiting for Phantom's attack.
Phantom Pearl pulled out her Diamond dagger and lunged at Pearl. Pearl blocked her attacked and gripped by Phantom's arm, forming a hand to hand combat.
Phantom with all energy on her body pushed Pearl to the rail and pinned her down. It appears Phantom Pearl is trying to make Pearl fall down from the height.
Pearl is struggling from keeping Phantom's Dagger away from her. Every second, the dagger is getting and getting closer to her chest. "I will report this to Pearl Matriarch!" Phantom Pearl grunted.
"Oh no-you-don't!" Pearl managed to punch Phantom's face again and pushed her away from her. Phantom shook her head and lunged at Pearl again. This time: Pearl dodged her attack and pinned Phantom against the rail. Pearl used all anger to get upper hand. In the result, Pearl pushed Phantom over the rail but Phantom, knowing that she will die gripped by Pearl's white silver armor so that they both fall down
But Pearl gripped herself by the rail while Phantom failed to grip by Pearl's high heels and fell down. She poofed into gemstone as she collided with the rooftop.
Pearl climbed up and got herself on the platform again. "Stars, these Phantoms are strong compared to normal Pearls." She inhaled and exhaled.
The sound beep noises caught her attention as beeping sound became faster. She glanced at the bomb: 10 seconds.
"Oh, stars!" Pearl exclaimed before she jumped over the rail and landing on the rooftop.
The big Cisterns exploded, creating around the facility a chain of explosions. It caught a fuel station where tanks and two Homeworld's GAT-AT walkers fueled with Crystallian's resources and other industrial sectors were blown up.
The explosions caught all imperials off guard. They all began to freaking out. One of them activated the alarms. The sirens expanded to all sectors.
The south sector garrison quickly left their position to assist to others. "Alright this our chance!" Gray exclaimed.
Steven with his friend ran up to the main door. Gray pushed a button. It's showed "access denied." "Peridot, can you do anything about it?" Gray asks
Peridot looked at it before she ripped the panel to check the wires. "Clod." she mumbled "That thing is techie...this is gonna take a while"
Yellow Diamond began to hear Destroyers's engine sounds "Guys, do you hear it?"

Steven focused on sounds. Yellow is correct. The sound of engines is getting...closer! Then the entire Star Destroyer appeared from the building. "You thought that you will run from me, human? You're in heart of our ally, Steven." The speaker exclaimed.
"It won't be long before my people will realize that you're using us for your own selfish plan, Carnelian!" Steven exclaimed
"Humanity realized that without us they are nothing, my grandson...and soon you will too! EMPIRE! ATTACK!"
With Carnelian's order. Imperial Gems entered the south sector and began to fire at them. Steven with his friend got into the cover: Peridot with Steven and Gray while Ryder is with Yellow Diamond and Clody.
"Peridot! get the Clody to hack the main door." Gray handed a device that creates a shield with crystals. Peridot whistled to Clody to hack the door. She tossed it near Clody to protect him.
"Death Squad...deal with defective Combat Peridot 2.0! She is the main priority!"
"Copy that" Gray's radio ringed inside his helmet. "Peridot, they will try to kill you first."
"Only if I will kill them first!" Peridot left the cover and shot two Imperial Peridots "DIE! DIE! YOU CLODS!" Peridot then fired at Imperial Gemdler. His Gemstone was shattered by the bullet.
Near Gemdler opened his Radio Chatter "Star Destroyer F0212, biotics are giving us hard time. Send a squad to 12X-031C location for additional support. I repeat: Biotic's overrun on sector 12X-031C"
"Copy that, Death Squad, sending additional troops and Strider to your location. Stand by"
Gray used his assault rifle's grenade launcher on Gemdler's group. "Peridot! how much left?"
"Don't know!" Peridot cried out.
"Too bad because the shit really hit the fan!"
The gang looked up to see two shuttles and transport with Strider are hovering above the courtyard. The Transport detached Strider and Strider landed on its legs. It made understandable moan before the laser formed on Strider's Warp Cannon and fired to the random container.
"What in the world is that thing is supposed to be!" Steven exclaimed horrifyingly at the Gem's creature's design.
"The Empire really made a great job on them!" Yellow exclaimed, hiding due to she can't summon her own sword. Technically no one can. Something is preventing them from summoning their weapons.
Another shuttle appeared and landed on the courtyard, this time is Grand Colonel Redstone himself. Steven saw him momentarily, he aimed his pistol and pulled a trigger. Once the bullet hit Redstone's armor, it ricocheted against his armor.
Redstone laughed "And I thought you're a smarter than average human" he pulled out his revolver and fired to the nearest explosive barrel from Steven. Steven fell to the ground but didn't get any injuries from the explosion. Yellow tried to help him out but Ryder gripped to prevent her from being in open space.
Redstone then spined his revolver like a cowboy and pulled it to his holster. Then he raised his arm and showed a sign to every Gems to stop firing at them.
Imperials lowered their weapons and stopped firing. Having a moment, Gray ran up to Steven to check how is he. Peridot stealthy moved to Cloddy to assist with hacking the main door.

Redstone crossed his arms "What difference between one human that doesn't like our regime or 5 billion people of Earth..." He makes one step forward while chuckling "Correct, they all will die."
"Who are you and why are you doing this to us?" Steven hissed as he got up on his feet, this time he at least tries to understand of Gem's reason rather than attacking them.
"I'm Grand Colonel Redstone of Great Galactic Gemirian Empire: The highest commander of the Homeworld's Grand Army" Redstone very confidently says "Just like anyone of us here: we are following our leader's orders."
"So your Emperor ordered to genocide 5 billion of Earth's population?" Steven said with disbelief. So far Carnelian wouldn't do that since he admires humans.
Redstone grinned "Not really him but you probably know that your own species are fighting against each other. It's your people who asked the Empire to genocide Asia, Africa, and Arabia in the change they will bow to us."
Hearing this news made Steven to completely lose faith in Humanity...but something tells him that it just a lie "You're lying Colonel! There is now way that the Terra Nova will do this to my people"
Redstone laughed "Don't be so naive and stupid, human. When my fleet conquered China, The Future Administrator of Terra Nova personally asked me to genocide Chinese because it was the only way to create one single Earth country. Same goes with Arabs and others groups. You think that Earth is so peaceful and thriving?" He slightly leaned "You are greatly mistaking!"
Redstone then began to walk back and forth as he embedded in this topic "When I first heard the word "Human" my mind gives me an opinion that they are parasites of this Galaxy...and I was true about that" He smiled.
"Your species bring the only destruction to this planet while we are saving it from your kind. That's why Gems are here to maintain your pitiful little planet."
He stopped his movement and crossed his arms, having the best time to mock poor little human "Your kind is stupid and ambitious. Females in your planet are stupid whores while males are just imbeciles. A year ago, some people worshiped some kind of creature named "Harambe" for no reason."
"And you think that the rebels will help you out? They are in total disaster right know. Gray can't help out because he is too unskilled against the Empire"
"Unlike you, sir. I served in Diamond Commando. It was the most fearsome squad in whole Grey Diamond's army." Gray hissed.
"I know that, Gray. You and TR-8R were a part of it before the Earth Incident. It's Funny how two brothers decided to kill each other. You betrayed your own creed for shameless rebellion that only sits somewhere in the galaxy?! It's this how your creed really works, Corporal Gemdler Class Gray?
"Son of the bitch!" Gray hissed. Redstone insulted the entire creed of Gemdlers.
Steven laid his arm on Gray's shoulder to let him talk "Do you realize what the damages you did to everyone? You will pay for you did to us!"
Redstone smirked "I'm just a warrior: a warrior that dedicated his entire life to eradicating everyone who opposes The Diamond or Gemirian Empire. And since you're my enemies...then I'm really sorry that you lived very short life, Universe."

All Gems aimed their weapon at the rebels gang, waiting patiently for Redstone's next order "Kill them!"
Unfortunately for Redstone. Imperial Gems didn't have a time to at least fire one laser as the bolt hit the ground and explode. An explosion hit most of the Gems while what's left caught them off guard.
"Who did that!?" Redstone exclaimed, looking for the source.
"Stay away from him!" Some screamed to him from the distance. Redstone looked to see Phantom Pearl with white silver armor standing on the container. She has a crossbow in her hand
"Kill that Pearly Bitch!" Redstone pointed on her.
The remaining Imperials aimed their weapons at . Pearl quickly fired explosive bolt to their group, poofing some of them. Gray ran from the cover and punched another Gemdler with his blaster rifle. Gray then grabbed the E-12 Crystal Blaster Rifle and tossed it to Steven.
Steven caught it in the air and used this as now his primary weapon, firing at Imperials. He hit two Gemdlers and Imperial Peridot.
Ryder fired at Quartz warrior and killed her "You think that I'm a pilot I don't have fighting skills!" Ryder hit another target.
Meanwhile, Strider fired his pulse gun at Pearl. Pearl dodged this and jumped down from the container. She ran up to Strider. Strider tried to stomp her like an ant but she dodged every attack of this. With one of his attacks, Pearl gripped by his leg and began to climb up.
Strider began to shake the leg but it was pointless. Pearl reached to his "head" and tried to remove the panel of the Strider's ventilation system. Strider moaned before he head-butted to the nearest container. Again it didn't make Pearl to loose grip. Pearl then ripped out the ventilation system and inserted the explosive bolt. Pearl jumped down before Strider exploded into the pieces.
"Dammit, you idiots!" Redstone slammed his fist against the random container as Strider's pieces fell on the ground.

Pearl ran up to Imperial Peridot. Peridot quickly as possible pulled out her electric baton to swing it. But Pearl dodged her attack like nothing and stabbed right into her Gemstone with her dagger. She removed the dagger and Imperial Peridot was poofed into shards. She caught a breath before she joined the rest of the gang. She with all energy hugged Steven "Thank stars you're alive."
"Hey there, Pearl. It's finally good to see you doing right things" Steven find a moment to make the bad joke.
"I was so worried about you. The Empire figured out that you planned to use some kind of ship here."
"And thanks to you, they failed to capture me." Steven smiled at her.
"I" She stopped as she inhaled the smell. "Steven! what's with the smell!"
Then she inhaled some more, figuring out that others smell very bad "What happened to all of you?"
"Sewers" Peridot simply explained.
"Oh.." Pearl quietly whispered to herself. Her eyes caught at Yellow Diamond who is standing while having an awkward smile. Celiana raised her hand "Hi"
Pearl moved to Steven before she leaned and whispers "Steven, Why Yellow Diamond is here?"
"It's complicated, Pearl." He whispers back
"You know what Garnet would is she see-"
"Garnet is not here, Pearl." He interrupts. "We need to make our own decisions right know" Steven explained before he looked at Peridot "How is the hacking process, Peridot?"
"Approximately 75% is finished...I think...maybe...I don't know...clods" She mumbled.
"Rats, now we-" Suddenly Pearl pulled out her sword and deflected the bullet that was supposed to hit Steven. Her sword is made of the same material that her old spear has...or it was a spear but Pearl modified it into assassin's blade.
It was Redstone who took a chance to kill Steven "Damn Defectives: always bitching about freedom and Rose Quartz" He reloaded his revolver with additional magnum and aimed at Pearl "Rebel ones-rebel twice. It doesn't matter to us, Pearl. You will taste the might of our Empire once again!"
"Taste this, you chromish dickhead!" Someone smacked Redstone's head with the hammer. He fell on the ground and poofed into the gemstone.
It was Greg, holding a hammer. "Father? what are you doing here?" Steven ran up and hugged him.
Greg smirked, "It appears your old sack of bones is not that old and can fight back, Steven." Greg walked to Steven, giving a pat on his shoulder..until he felt the smell "I presume you were in the sewers."
"Yeah," Steven rolled his eyes.
Pearl approached and crossed her arms. "Greg...it's unexpected to see you there."
Greg looked at her, examining what Pearl is wearing "I nearly recognized you in that armor, Pearl. Armors really don't suit your personality."
"Very funny, Greg" Pearl emotionally said, giving a death glare to Greg.
Their reunion was aborted when another two shuttle landed on the ground. Another group of Gemdlers stormed out from the shuttle. "Open fire!"
"FINNALY" Peridot laughed as they finally hacked the main door. The main doors slide open and the gang with Greg entered inside. Peridot shot the panel and the main door closed. "This should take a while for them."
Steven looked around, there are in the main lobby with receptionist desk with a computer. There might be some information about SVE Gemia's location. Steven sat on the chair and checked the computer.
"Please type the password"
Peridot, could you hack this?"
"Sure, I really love hacking" Peridot inserted her Gem boy's main wired to the monitor. With seconds, Peridot managed to get access "Done, easy than Green's Diamond computer."
With her help, Steven gets access to the computer. First thing first, he checked the ships that docked in there: There is only one right know. It Docked in the DSX12 platform. "Ryder, this ship is yours?"
Ryder checked the ship on the monitor "Yes, this one."
SVE Gemia looks like more a mobile command ship by the form. Strangely that the ship doesn't look like Gems designed it. It more like: it was some kind of project between alien species to construct better ships that don't need Warp-pad. "Very impressive, Ryder," Pearl commented about the ship.
Ryder just shrugged his shoulders "Thanks."
"There is more," Steven says as he checks the folders. One file caught his attention: it one about some parasites.
"Attention Personal of Base Nova"
"We are informing you that the Empire will transfer some special crates of "Gem Parasites" to your base for further transportation to the G.R.A-Gemirian frontline.
"In any circumstances: DON'T OPEN THE CRATES!"
These parasites are far more deadly than mutants and corruptions combined. If one specimen manages to escape and infect at least one Gem then we will have no choice to wipe out this base from the face of this planet."
"The crates are supposed to arrive at 12.50 on Earth's time. The Star Destroyer SS-1 will dock at your base approximately at 15.00 so that you can load the crates safely to it
And one last order: DON'T RELEASE THEM!

"So the Empire of Rock People is afraid of some kind of Parasites?" Greg cups his chin.
"G.R.A should know about them" Gray inserted his Gem-boy's cable to the computer and downloaded a copy to his Gem-Boy. While Gray did this, Pearl found a security computer "Looks like they are trying to break the door open" Pearl commented as she spies at Gems outside from the monitor. Imperials slamming the door with the hammer.
"Is there any way they can to breach to the base?" Steven asks her
"No...unless they will send a Phantom Pearl's squad unit." Pearl shrugged.
"Don't give any ideas to them, Pearl." Steven smiled at her. Pearl laid her hand on his shoulder "Now I know why I really missed you."
"Hey, guys! Check what I found" Gray's voice can be heard from behind.
The Gang turned around to see Gray with the crate on his arms. He laid it on the floor "Found this crate on the corner, including ID-Card for DSX12."
Steven opened the crate. Well, it at least something than be with bare hands. It contains basic gear of Peridot 2.0 and ammo. Peridot grabbed Gemirian SPEX-12 shotgun that for some reason looks like SPAS12 for some reason, only it made in some kind of crystals and electric baton. Steven grabbed some ammo for his E-12 Crystal Blaster Rifle and ID-Card. "Alright, if everyone is ready then lets roll."
The gang moved further to the base. They passed corridors who surprisingly that nobody tried to stop them...and even they didn't meet any anyone. "Where is everybody?"
"Probably everyone is outside, kiddo," Greg says
"It's too stupid then to leave without this base without any defenses." Steven snarled.
"That's the Empire in nutshell!" Gray quietly laughed. "Idiots"
They reached to the big door. The sign says that it leads to DSX12 Hangar. "Well here we're," Ryder says, sighing in relief that soon everything will be normal again.
Steven then inserted the ID-Card to the reader. The screen flashed green "Access granted, Please wait patiently for the Elevator to arrive at your level" The voice said to him.
"Steven, I need to know" Pearl begins "Are we gonna find Amethyst and Garnet and we return to Earth?"
Steven sighed "Yes and no, Pearl. We will find them but we need more than Crystal Gems to help out Earth."
"We can handle alone. We are Crystal Gems for Star's sake. We always save the-"
"NO! WE DON'T!" Steven suddenly exclaimed at her, slightly scaring her "This time: Crystal Gems didn't save the day and let Homeworld devour it! We didn't find the way to stop the new Empire!" Steven calmed down, still gazing at Pearl.
It let Pearl think about it. Did the Crystal Gems really lose their grasp since the Ross passed the way? Well, it's 50/50 wherever they succeeded and failed. They managed to defend Earth even after Rose passed away but they were really weak compared to Homeworld's army.
"Steven...the way you changed for ten years makes me wondering: Do you really will become like Rose Quartz? Or you will be something more than her."
Steven sighed again as he is getting annoyed. "Pearl, I really don't know right know...but for me personally: I never wanted to be like her. I don't want anyone to call me as "Rose's son" if you understand."
"But Steven. You should be grateful for that!"
"And I really don't, Pearl! How many times you lied that nobody from this Galaxy wants to kill us?" He made one step forward to her "How many times you never told me about Rose in details." And how many times you treated me like an annoying little child!" Steven furiously grabbed her by her armored shoulder.
"Wow, slow down there kiddo" Greg pulled Steven away from Pearl. "I understand your anger kiddo but you should know that Pearl personally asked others to treat you more like an adult person. Be thankful to her at least."
Steven calmed down after he heard Greg's words very carefully. "Alright! I get the point!" The elevator made a ting noise as the doors slide open. The gang entered and Gray pushed a button. The doors closed and the elevator began to move down. After 1 minute later, the elevator stopped and doors opened. DSX12 Platform looks very big compared from the inside, strange for that they constructing here only small ships.
SVE Gemia is docked and looks very intact. The Empire really didn't have time to salvage it. Other than that, the only obstacle to entering the ship is Phantoms Pearls who are waiting for the rebels patiently. Once they get closer, Phantom Pearl with yellow armor begins to speak "Well, well, well. Isn't it our favorite traitor Pearl and worthless Yellow Diamond."
"You" Celiana hissed, knowing who it might be under that armor, "You think that betraying me 10 years ago and I will forget about it?"
"Sorry, "my Diamond" Yellow Pearl air quotes "But it was my deal with Phantoms." She laughed "Do you know how much I was disgusted by your weak ruling over the Yellow Sector? Even filthy Peridots can better rule than you, my Diamond."
"Wow, that one is the most bitchiest of Pearls I ever saw," Gray muttered under his helmet.
"And you, Pearl. You betrayed the Pink Court for just some Quartz warrior?" She chuckled "I was so right about you: you're just a filthiest Pearls I ever saw in my whole Gemstone's life." She made a cracked smile under her masked face.
Pearl clenched her hand as she gets angry for what Yellow Pearl said her and Rose Quartz. "And now, Pearl..." The Head Sister pulled out her own sword "Give us this boy to us...or you will regret the consequences"
"Over my shattered Gemstone, Head sister" Pearl pulled out her own sword. The gang did the same thing to prepare for the fight.
Meanwhile on the outside
"Stop! It won't work" Quartz commander ordered to Gemdler who is trying to.
Gemdler stopped hammering down the door. Quartz Commander approached to Redstone who catching a breath after he reformed back. "Sir, there is no way we can break down this door."
"Too bad, because we seriously disappointed the one who we should not." Redstone points to the sky before he looked down at the ground, resting on the ground as he feels woozy.
Then another shuttle appeared and landed. Emperor Carnelian left the shuttle. He stormed straight to the door, ignoring everyone.
Quartz Commander ran up to him "My Emperor, we suffered heavy casualties! But I have the situation under-"
She interrupted as she felt how her neck got squeezed by Carnelian's powers "I have no interests in your failures, Commander" He lifted her up with his powers, squeezing her harder "I'm here for a mission of my own!" He let go of her and went forward, destroying the door with his powers. "This pile of nonsense ends now, Universe!"
