Confess

Yeah I accidently uploaded this chapter into the wrong story last night. Please forgive my brain fart. I was tired and it was like 2 in the morning when I did it. Now it's in the proper place!

Chapter 20 : Confess

The seeker recovered far faster than Ratchet had predicted. He was up and on his feet before the sun rose over the desert horizon. It wasn't, however, pleasant for Starscream to awake to several gun barrels practically knocking against his head. While Optimus and the white plated medic had been talking privately in the semi's quarters, a few curious Autobots had taken it upon themselves to guard the unconscious Decepticon. The jet's startled cry was loud enough to send Prime running into the med bay, Ratchet following closely. Both mechs did their best to talk their comrades down. It was quite the chore since Prowl and Ironhide where two of the Autobots pointing their weapons at Starscream. While Bluestreak and Mirage where far easier to convince, Ironhide took the black and white patrol car's side over Optimus, agreeing that it was unwise to turn their backs on a Decepticon with fully active weapons while he was in their base. Neither wished to relax until Ratchet lead the seeker out of the med bay. Starscream, still spooked from his less then favorable welcome, allowed the bot to usher him out of the room and to a secluded place where proper scans could be performed without having to breathe down a blaster barrel.

A brief meeting was held in the control room. Every Autobot, except for the ambulance, were present. Seeing as how Optimus didn't have time to speak to Starscream alone, he could only inform his comrades of his intentions to speak with the Decepticon about swapping his allegiances. It was painfully obvious that his team needed far more convincing than Prime was able to offer at the moment. The general consensus was for Starscream to prove his worth. However, this could not be accomplished until Prime knew for sure what the seeker's intentions were. He would need time alone with him, which would not be permitted until the semi could reassure the others that the jet meant no harm.

It took some careful words, but eventually every bot present was finally informed of the Decepticon's plight. They knew not what had happened to cause the Con such pain, but they did know that he had been brutally injured by Megatron twice in only a few short weeks and could no longer take such abuse much longer. Prime did his best to characterize Starscream as a victim and made clear his wish to save him. The sympathetic Autobots could understand this and, trusting their leader, decided to give the jet a chance. After all, a warrior of Starscream's caliber was just what they needed to turn the tide on the other Decepticons.

It wasn't exactly easy to find a private room within the Ark for the two mech's to properly reunite. Optimus decided the best place for them to have a private conversation would be outside of the base. With curious Autobots practically stalking the pair as they tried to find a sound proof chamber, all eager to get a proper glimpse of their new prospective comrade. Starscream, obviously overwhelmed and insecure with so many chattering mechs at his heels, was only too thankful when the General finally threw up his servos in frustration and declared that his entire ship was full of gossiping nitwits and that they had to leave.

Hardly a word passed between the semi and the jet as they drove towards a small valley a few hundred clicks from the base. It was secluded, embraced by steep mountains and a large river that ran like dark vein down the middle. Starscream lay on his front atop the semi's trailer, clinging tightly as they rode over the rough terrain. Prime's headlights cutting through the darkness over an old abandoned logging trail. It was a half hour until sunrise. The sky along the eastern horizon already betraying light. It was safer to drive then it was to let the jet carry him in flight.

The ride finally stopped as they reached a sandy shore line along the black water. It was a clear night, the stars still glowing brightly above them, twinkling on the river's slowly running surface. The sounds of crickets chirping and the odd croak of the local frogs sang through the tranquil air. Starscream dismounted the trailer and watched as the Autobot transformed. For a moment, the two stood in silence, regarding each other. The only light given off by their glowing red and blue optics.

Prime was content to merely look at those crimson optics. The way their brightness illuminated the jet's pretty face was captivating. His spark thrummed contently, yet eager in his chassis. More than ever he wished to reach out and touch the Con. Just to make sure he was really there.

Tilting his head for a second, Starscream noticed the Autobot's loss for words. He sighed and turned from the other towards the river, arms crossing over his cockpit as he gazed out over the water.

"Are we going to speak, or wait until the sun rises so we can see each other?"

Prime, broken out of his trance, uttered a small noise of realization. The headlights on his chest lit up, spilling light over the sand and the red and white mech.

"I'm sorry." He rubbed at the back of his helm awkwardly. "Of course we can speak. That is why we are here, after all."

Starscream hummed an amused note, glancing back over his shoulder at the red and blue bot with a smirk playing on his lips.

"Don't get me wrong, Autobot. I want to jump your circuits too. It's just we have some more pressing issues to discuss first."

Optimus could feel his face plates heat as he watched the jet take a few steps towards the water's edge the soft shift of the sand as he moved.

"I assume you told your comrades about what was happening."

"I didn't tell them anything you wouldn't want me to." He answered back, following the seeker. "Only Ratchet knows the whole truth."

"Yes. I assumed he knew." Starscream sighed and teased the surface of the water with his pede. "It was only a few hours since Megatron had....well the core energy would still be there. Lucky we always had such early romps and your medic did late scans. Otherwise our secret would have been blown out of the water long ago."

"My Autobot's aren't stupid." Prime agreed. "It's by luck and sheer will that we have not been discovered."

"Neither is Megatron." The jet muttered bitterly. "If he doesn't suspect us, he's certainly beginning to."

"Is that why he hurt you?" A navy servo carefully touched the other's wing. "Because of what happened at the solar plant?"

Starscream nodded.

"I should have bashed your helm."

"Well..." Optimus tried to chuckle. "My cranium thanks you choosing not to."

The other mech made a noise that could have been a sur pressed laugh, or a condescending sniff. He kicked the sand, scattering wet granule clumps out over the water, pleased when splashed and disrupted the still night.

"It doesn't matter. He would have figured it out eventually. Every so often he chooses to indulge a merge. It's been years and it's long over due."

"You don't have to let him do that to you any more." Optimus placed both hands on the seeker's wings, his spark fluttering warmly as the Con leaned back only slightly into the touch. "You can keep your promise to join us."

Starscream seemed to ponder these words for a moment. His helm lowing to gaze at the water swirling at his pedes.

"I can't." He finally whispered, more to himself than to Prime.

"Of course you can." The semi tried not to sound like he was pleading. "I've already spoken with the others. They're willing to give you a chance to prove yourself."

"No, you don't understand." The Con pulled from the other bot's warm touch as he waded out a few steps into the cool water. He turned to face the mech who looked back at him with concerned blue optics.

"I can't join you because if I do my brothers are in danger."

"Your brothers?" Optimus repeated the words, confused. "You mean the other seekers?"

"Yes. If I don't stay with Megatron, he'll go after Thundercracker and Skywarp." Starscream explained. "He already threatened Skywarp once. If I leave the Decepticons, that bastard will hurt them. Just like he hurts me."

"But you can't live a life like that, Starscream." Optimus tried to reason with him. "It will ruin you."

"I'm already ruined, Prime." His voice was bitter and miserable. "Look at me. I have to come to you to help repair me. I no longer fight against him. I allow him to do what he wishes. I can't bring myself to flash him a defiant optic anymore."

Starscream sighed as his crimson eyes narrowed sadly, unable to look upon the crestfallen Autobot anymore.

"I have to stay close to him or I'll never be able to defeat him. I can't go with you. Not when my brother's are in danger. Not....not when you are in danger."

Prime looked upon the Decepticon. His core twisted painfully as he took in the other's disheartening words. Everything that he wished to happen, everything he wished for Starscream, seemed suddenly out of reach. There was only a few spans between him and the seeker, yet as he watched the dark water swirl around the Con's feet, he suddenly felt as if the mech were miles away. As if the river was about to swallow him up and carry him off into the dark night.

"Starscream." He waded into the water. "I am looking at you. I can barely stand to look at you. My spark hurts every time I do, and yet it has never felt so strong."

He placed his servos on the weary mech's shoulder's, drawing him closer, feeling the jet resist the embrace.

"I can't stand to think of him hurting you any longer." The semi nearly growled as he tugged the stubborn seeker closer. "I don't want him touching you."

"You can't help me!" Starscream pushed against the Autobot's chest, trying to resist the warm pull of the other's core. "You can't get involved anymore! I don't want to care about you anymore, Prime! It will only break my spark if he manages to get his filthy servos on you!"

"What do you mean?"

"N-never mind." The seeker mentally slapped himself, still trying to tug out of Optimus' strong grasp. "Just...just let me go. I have to get back to the Nemesis before they realize I'm gone!"

Prime suddenly froze. His servos going stiff and a look of obvious discomfort on his features. His optics dimmed for a second before he nearly let go of the mech entirely.

"Starscream....there's something...something we didn't tell you."

The jet noticed the semi's posture droop. There was something on the mech's mind that obviously bore bad news.

"What is it Optimus?"

"Well...the truth is, the Decepticon's already know you are with us."

The seeker stared back for a moment, expression completely blank. Stunned. The full force of Prime's words suddenly hit like a sack of bricks. His unbelieving expression twisting into something far more disturbed. The pure horror that washed over the Con's face plates was almost devastating to witness. Starscream started to shake uncontrollably, vents working at an alarming rate, drawing breath after frantic breath of air until he looked as though the oxygen was making him dizzy. His knees gave out, and he slipped into the river with a splash. Prime knelt with him, trying to calm the panicked bot as Starscream clutched his head and began muttering a string of overwhelmed prays to Primus himself.

"Oh no...oh Primus...how? Why!?"

"There was a tracking device hidden in your cockpit." Optimus remained calm and ran his servos over the other's back, trying to soothe him. "Ratchet disposed of it. They haven't come after you yet."

"But...my brothers!" Starscream trembled and grasped the Autobot's forearms in a vice like grip in his near hysteria.

"You can't help them by running back there." Prime tried to reason with him. "You have to remain calm and think about this! If you go back to Megatron in this state, he'll over power you and then you won't be of any use to anyone. Now calm down before you hurt yourself."

Starscream managed a few more frantic gasps before he let the Prime's words sink in. After a couple minutes of absorbing the situation, the reliable mech next to him holding him with such unbridled concern, he finally calmed down to a rational condition.

"You're right." He whispered, barely audible over the trickle of the water around them.

"Starscream. I promise you, I'll do everything in my power to help you and your brothers. But please do not go back to the Decepticons."

"I don't want your promises, Prime." The jet muttered, not making optic contact with the semi as they knelt in the river together.

"I have to try." Optimus stroked the pretty mech's cheek. "I can't abandon you."

"You noble Autobots." The seeker shook his head, his tone almost disgusted by the mech's valiant streak. "You think just because you fuck someone you have to offer them your loyalty along with your body. Decepticons don't share that kind of sickening mentality."

"That's not true." Prime countered. "You perform unions. If that's not offering loyalty, than what is?"

"It's not the same. Decepticon's perform union to declare ownership of another."

"Then why did Megatron not force union upon you? Perhaps because the sentimentality of it was ruined when he wronged you?"

Starscream scoffed, but then bit his glossa to hold back a snappy retort. He thought back to the first time Megatron had forced a merge on him. He had read the tyrant's processor as clearly as he could read his own. Megatron had wanted a union with him before everything had gone wrong. He wanted it for many reasons. To keep others from stealing his partner. To have a companion that he could formally share his power with. But mostly, because the Decepticon leader had loved him. Megatron had wanted to prove it to the universe that he wished to protect and keep the seeker with him forever.

And Starscream had wanted that union for the same reasons. Reasons that were tossed away like they had never had any meaning. All because Megatron was far too selfish.

"It's....just not the same for Decepticons." The red and white mech murmured.

"Never mind it then." Prime returned his servo to the seeker's warm cheek. "Starscream. I care for you and I don't wish to see you suffer. If that's inappropriate for you, then all I can say is I'm sorry. But I won't lie to you or myself."

A sudden pang of guilt stabbed at the Decepticon. Optimus was being honest with him and offering his loyalty while Starscream was keeping a secret from the semi. A secret that could get the Autobot captured and tortured and raped. He also cared for the bot, and yet he couldn't even tell him how he felt.

He looked up into those beautiful blue optics and felt his entire being ache with a want that he knew he wasn't allowed to have.

"Optimus." He shifted closer to the mech, his body suddenly hot with intent and craving contact. "Please."

"Please what?" The semi pulled the seeker closer, letting the sleek mech wrap his arms around his neck, their thighs scrapping as Starscream straddled his protruding knees.

"Please...make me feel better." He kissed heatedly at the semi's face mask.

"Tell me how." The response was a growl, heavy and laced with need as their bodies melted together.

Starscream whimpered when blue servos dug at the seems in his wings, little sparks of pleasure coursing over his circuits, still so sensitive from his previous assault. Shamelessly he ground against the Autobot, every sensor alight with burning need for the comforting contact.

"I need you." The jet purred against the semi's plating, muttering much dirtier things to him as Optimus scooped him into his large arms and laid him down against the sandy river bottom. Their lower halves still submerged in the cool water.

"Please...I need you. Fuck me and make me forget about it all. Make me feel good."

His servos hooked around the Autobot's neck as the semi graciously entrenched himself between his knees, clever navy digits digging into erogenous seems. Starscream could only lay there, absorbing every delicious touch. Nuzzling into Optimus' cheek, breathing the scent of the other's wet armor. The clean scent of wax and gritty oil and something just plain Prime. His glossa lapping hungrily at a sweet niche between the battle mask and the other mech's cheek, tasting the river with every sweep of his sensor.

Optimus worked his servos over the flawless armor of the voluptuous seeker beneath him, thoroughly enjoying the breathy moans he coaxed from those pretty lips. The promising pleasure that hid underneath that sensuous curve of the jet's canopy made his core knot feverishly. Growling with heavy arousal, he slipped his palms under the red plated aft, hiking the seeker's thighs up around his waist. With a luscious roll of his hips, he ground their pelvic armor together. Sweet friction sent mind numbing pleasure coursing through their support columns. Starscream could feel his central processor melt along with the surge of bliss that followed.

"Optimus..." He gasped between his wanton groans. "Please. Give it to me hard...."

Without wasting any more time, Prime cracked his chassis, the gaps in his plating radiating a bluish light, almost white. It spilled over the water, over the pristine wings of the beautiful bot in his arms. His very core sucked with greedy need at the seeker's as he pried Starscream's chamber open in one sharp jerk. A wounded, yet sinfully lust filled, sound escaped the Decepticon's throat from the force behind Optimus' unapologetic eagerness. The semi, no longer afraid of hurting the jet, allowed his passion to consume him. His urge to devour the mech down to his very cries of ecstasy was far too powerful to contain. Starscream's submission fueling his ascendancy over the Con.

"Yesss..." The jet hissed as the very atoms of his spark thrummed with want. "Do it. Fuck me. Make me yours."

He groaned the seeker's name against the his collar, sudden relief flooded his tortured system as their cores mixed with a bright burst. Starscream clung to him as if he the semi were the only thing to keep him from drowning in the shallow water. His sharp, overwhelmed cries filled the breaking dawn as his helm tipped back in unabashed pleasure. Prime's right servo braced against the sand as he heaved against the bot in one trembling lurch. His left servo stroking aimlessly over the other's bared throat, settling for a firm, commanding grip that, under any other circumstance, could prove threatening. All the while, the energy built to intolerable levels, pushing them closer and closer to blessed discharge.

Pleasure burned and circuits seared. Optimus let the full force of his essence wash against the Decepticon in a jarring, processor stopping overload that had the two mechs crying one another's names to the rising sun. The throes of passion faded from their tired, spent limbs. Settling down against the sated seeker, Prime nuzzled against his cheek fondly as the day broke and the water lapped gently against their cooling structures. Starscream, feeling at peace for the first time in weeks, held the Autobot close. Legs still hiked high on the other's hip, not ready to let go yet.

"Optimus..." The jet purred and kissed at the red and blue bot's helm. "I'm sorry for disappointing you."

"Don't be sorry." Prime rested his head against Starscream's shoulder. "I understand why you have to go back. Your brothers need you."

"Its....it's not just that." The seeker sighed, suddenly mourning that he was about to loose this perfect moment to the ugly truth that just begged to roll off his glossa.

"I have something I have to tell you."

"What is it?" Optimus, ever noble and trusting, cuddling closer.

"It's not just my brothers I have to protect. I have to protect you as well."

He knew he had to do it. He had to confess to the Autobot what he knew. If he didn't, then it only made him an easier target for the silver tyrant. Taking an unsteady gulp of air, Starscream opened his mouth and dropped the words that made Prime's spark stop dead in his chassis.

"Megatron wants you, Optimus. And he won't stop until he has you."
