As the first light of dawn filtered through the windows of four different New York City bedrooms, the occupants all stirred into wakefulness. The night had been full of passionate lovemaking for all parties. The morning brought a reaffirmation of what was shared.
In a Manhattan apartment, Peter Venkman held Dana Barrett’s left hand up so the engagement ring would catch the sun’s rays. She smiled adoringly at him.
“Louis sent me the papers this afternoon. He’s relinquished all paternal rights to Oscar so that you can adopt him when we get married. And he says he wishes us all the luck in the world.”
“Did you tell him the same for me?” Peter rubbed his fingertips back and forth across her exposed forearm.
“Of course. You know, I think he and Pauline will be married too, before the year is out. I’m glad he’ll be with someone who loves him.”
“You mean someone who actually wants him.”
She smirked. “Your words, not mine.”
Peter kissed her shoulder and smiled in amusement. “So how long is Oscar staying with Rosa?”
“Until Monday.”
“So I’ll have you for the day?”
“Yes. You’ll have me all day long.” She smiled and wiggled her eyebrows at him suggestively.
To her surprise, he did not return her smile, but stared at her with freearsears in his eyes. “I will love you everyday until the day I die, Dana.”
She smiled into his eyes, her own eyes glistening. “Only that long?”
He smiled again, swatting the moisture from his eyes. “Okay. Until the day I die and beyond. We’ll haunt the orchestra pit at Lincoln Center together, whaddya say?” She leaned back into his arms, spooning more tightly against him.
“It’s a date.”

Across Manhattan Island, in the Ghostbusters’ firehouse, Raymond Stantz and Alice Derleth shifted only slightly in each other’s arms. They did not come fully awake, having exhausted each other the night before. They only woke enough to realize where they were. They settled more comfortably into each other’s embrace, smiling serenely to themselves.
The next day, Ray and Lois would drive Alice back to Arkham, where they would part ways indefinitely. But for now, she and Ray belonged to each other. Nothing else in the world existed but them, and the feelings they had for each other.
They were free of nearly all thought. Thought would just remind them that this was temporary, that they would soon have to say good-bye. So they ignored all their musings. All but one. A single notion penetrated their minds as they slumbered silently together.
It was about time!

In a brownstone in Brooklyn Heights, Winston Zeddemore and Kelechi Bryant were out of bed and staring out the window at the sunrise. She stood wrapped in a blanket, while he wore a sheet slung low around his hips. She was leaning back into Winston’s embrace, his head resting atop her own. Every once in a while, he adjusted the sheet so that it wouldn’t fall off.
“Kel?”
“Hmm?”
“I have some news. Good and bad.”
“Oh?” She turned to face him. She was slightly more worried about the bad news than pleased to hear the good.
He caressed her cheek to reassure her before explaining. “Remember when Mom pulled me aside last night to talk about family business?”
“Yes?”
“Well, she told me that the reason my dad went to Florida to see Aunt Gladys was because she was dying. She passed a few days ago. Mom said I was preoccupied, so she didn’t bother me with it.”
“Oh Churchill! I’m so sorry!”
“It’s okay, Kel. I mean, I missed the funeral and all, but I really only would have wanted to go to lend support to Dad. Gladys was his older sister and his only sibling. I didn’t really know her too well since she lived so far away. I just knew that she was of a like mind with Dad. She felt that Ghostbusting was a waste of my time too, and something that embarrassed the family.”
“Really? That’s how your dad feels?”
“Well, occasionally. He seemed to be cool with it when we met the Keeper of Lost Objects, but when we were forced out of business, he was quick to side with the people who set us up. Once we got our business back I had a long talk with him about it. Peter helped me a lot. We’re cool now, but his side of the family doesn’t feel the same. I guess that says a lot for his being willing to listen at all, let alone side with me.” Winston shrugged and pulled Kel tighter to him.
“Oh. Well, that’s good.” Kel was relieved. She didn’t want to dislike Winston’s father.
“Yeah. Well, I guess Aunt Gladys thought that I was only Ghostbusting for the money or fame, and that if I were given another option, I’d take it.”
“I don’t understand what you’re saying Winston.”
“Aunt Gladys was filthy rich and she left me a lot of money in her will. She left me most of her fortune actually, but with the condition that I not use one cent of it on the Ghost biz.”
“Really?”
“Yup. And I’d wanted to use it for you and Mom’s restaurants. Only, Mom doesn’t want it. She said to give some money to you and put the rest aside into a college fund for my nieces and nephews and any kids I may have one day. There’s nothing in the will that says I can’t, so that’s what I want to do. I’d like to be your partner in the restaurant business, and I promise no matter what happens between us, I will never just leave you to fail. We’ll be in it together to the end, sink or swim.”
Kel stared up at him, speechless. All she could do was nod weakly. Winston pulled her into an even tighter embrace. “Thank you,” she finally managed between choked sobs.
“No, Baby, thank you. You’ve brought so much happiness to my life, I’m just glad I could give a little back.” He kissed her tenderly.
She was crying freely. “You have no idea how much this means to me.”
“Sure I do. You love to cook the way I love to bust ghosts. I was so lost when we went out of business. We all were. I don’t ever want you to feel that way. Not if I can prevent it.”
“You’re amazing, Churchill. Ellen certainly raised one hell of a man.”
“And the Bryants raised one hell of a woman. They’d be very proud.” He kissed her again, lifting her into his arms and carrying her to the bed.
He barely even noticed when the sheet fell off.

In an apartment in another part of Brooklyn, Egon Spengler and Janine Melnitz were fast approaching their third orgasm of the last ten hours. The sun was shining brightly now, but when the first rays peaked through the blinds, rousing the couple, they’d had only one thing on their minds.
Egon was sitting up with his arms gripping Janine tightly against him. Janine slid up and down on Egon’s manhood at a frantic rate, her own arms and legs wrapped tightly around him. The mounting tide of pleasure threatened to send them both over the edge. Janine was almost there, when she felt a burning hot sensation spreading from deep within her.
Egon cried out in pain. He felt it too. His sensible side told him to pull away from her, but he was no longer at a point where he was able to stop thrusting into her.
A bright red illumination engulfed the pair, spreading in and around their bodies. The pleasurable sensations were multiplied exponentially, dulling the pain entirely.
“Egon! Oh! Egon! Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God! OH MY GOD!” She came so violently, she swore her heart had stopped for a moment.
The muscles in Janine’s core rippled and convulsed around Egon’s hardness. He opened his mouth to cry out, but was unable to achieve vocalization. A faint wheezing sound was all that emanated from his throat. He spilled so much of his seed inside of her, he thought he’d need to be hospitalized for dehydration.
The red glow slowly faded away from them as their passion ebbed away. They lay panting for what felt like an eternity. Janine refused to put her glasses on at first, insisting that she wanted the room to stop breakdancing first.
Egon adjusted his glasses and turned to stare at Janine. Once her head felt less ‘swimmy’, she reached out with a shaky hand, picked up her own glasses from the nightstand, and put them on. “I’ve been meaning to ask you, Egon. Why do you always wear your glasses during sex?”
“I would have thought that would be obvious. So I can see you, naturally.”
She looked at him in surprise. He smiled. She blushed and nodded. “That’s very sweet, Egon.”
“You’re very sweet.” As if to demonstrate the truth of this statement, he pulled her across his chest and kissed her deeply, sucking lightly on her tongue. She pulled away with a silly grin pasted on her face. “Now I have a question for you,” he stated with a self-satisfied smile. “Is sex always going to be like that now? You know, with the power surge?”
“That? Oh no. I just lost control for a bit. I usually keep a better cap on that. I’ll be more careful from now on.”
He grinned mischievously. “And why would you want to do that?”
“Huh?” Her eyes were wide with shock.
“Well, it’s like you said, Janine. Sometimes it’s okay to lose control.”
She gaped at him and then giggled. “Aye, aye, Dr. Spengler!”
