Chapter 8: Preparing For The Worst (L)
8, October 2027 AD, 19:12 (Earth's Time)
That Peridot again. Guess the entire Universe decided that Steven and Peridot as inseparable. The Russians called it "как не разлей вода" thing
Peridot changed so much, She is lot taller, probably around the same height as he and Pearl. And she doesn't wear her limb enhancers anymore. Guess the Empire made them superior even without limb enhancers.
She is a lot curvier...from Steven's point of view. Her triangle hair is gone and it's now a straight down hair. She still wears her green old uniform. Only her Yellow Diamond's symbols replaced with Imperial Eagles. Her chest is also slightly bigger...wonder if her breast got-
"NO!" Steven screamed in his mind, trying to not think of her breast. "She is my friend. I already made a mistake twice with Yellow Diamond...God, if Pearl will now that he likes Yellow Diamond in a romantic way...Rose only knows what she will do to him.
Anyway, back to Peridot...for all of her improvements, Steven can barely recognize her, from crazy green gnome to this...what the Empire did to her?
What the Empire did to all Gems? What happened to them that they become more organized and can use range weapons and where are the fusions Gems...where are they? Guess Carnelian did make them more superior.
And yet, Peridot is here. It's funny that he always finds her first. He expected to see Crystal Gems first before her
"Peri..." Steven whispers still shocked to see his old friend in the different form.
"Gray...why you didn't tell me that the Gem we looking is Peridot?" Steven scowled
"I didn't know that one specific Gem is that peridot, bro. All I know that the Gem who knows the ships arriving at Earth will be on the shore." He justifies himself.
"Still..." Steven looks at the Peridot from the distance "Why she became so tall...yet cuter?"
"It's because her class was upgraded. She is now a Peridot 2.0 Class. She suffered an Implantation process."
"Peridot 2.0?"
"In the nutshell; Peridot 1.0 only works on the ships, Peridot 2.0 is combat technician and Peridot 3.0 or Elite Peridot are far more advanced from previous versions. That one Peridot is 2.0 version. They implanted her very well."
Steven knows the Implantation process of Gems. He heard it many times in prison. Basically, the Empire created implants that can give new powers to the Gems. These Implants cooperates with users Gemstones. For Example, there is implant which explodes User's body when the Gemstone is about to poof. It's brutal methods for humans point of view but for the Empire... it's being superior to others.
"Good lord." Steven whispers, imagining what Peridot went trough as they implanted her.
"You okay?" Gray asks
"I'm' okay?" Steven turned around to him "Ask her...she is the one who suffered from implantation process."
"The implantation process is the not worst thing in the existence, bro."
"Yeah right...they're forcefully changing your appearance."
"Being a corrupted Gem is the worst thing. My ex-general was corrupted during the Aura Quartz revolution but Pink Diamond saved him. He described corruption as turning into an animal."
"Yeah..." Steven quietly says, still thinking about Peridot.
"Sounds like you had a big past with her."
"We do actually. She was Crystal Gem just like the rest. We stopped the Cluster together and we developed a good relationship..."
"You mean you both together?"
Steven blushed, Gray's words made him think about his relationship "I never thought of it, We..."

"I met her when my ex-general carried her to the surgery center. We have been in one squad for long. Then I was assigned to Redstone's divisions again."

"The General Cato Tylat of Tallorian fleet;" Gray mentioned of his commander, feels proud that he served under his command. "I consider him as the best commander of Gemirian Empire. He can do something unlike Grand Colonel Redstone of Chacklonian fleet"
"But why you betrayed the Empire then?"
Corporal Gray lowers his head, looking at the floor "Because we attacked one of the Ellysians villages. I watched how they executed children, their fathers, and mothers. They even burn down the village when they razed it. It's was disgusting...even for the Empire level."
"Jesus." Steven whispers, imagining dead Ellysian's kids lying on the sand while Gemirians pillaging their villages.
"Yeah, it was a monstrous method. And after that, I made a contact with GRA and offered them a help from me. They accepted and thus I become more like a spy to GRA."
"You did a right thing, Gray. You need to help others instead of killing them." Steven pats his shoulder as approval of Gray being a rouge Gem.
"Yeah," Gray scratches his armored head "Listen, once we will reach the GRA's base, Drinks from me, okay? I still owe you my life."
"You owe me nothing, Gray." Steven smiles
Gray slightly got surprised, not about 12 hours ago, he nearly killed him "But you tried to kill me!"
"No, I don't. I never killed anybody" Steven slapped his head, reminding of Blue Commander "Well I technically killed Blue Commander but he shot himself so it doesn't count as my kill."
"If you planning to roll with GRA, bro. Then you will kill a lot of Gems. You can't do anything about it. War is Destroyers plaything."
They both shut up when Peridot began to shout at the commander.
"Guess the show is about to start." Gray comments
Now to Peridot.
"What in name of Destroyers is this?! I supposed to be in frontline rather than fixing this clod thing!" She exclaimed as she angrily pointed to EMP generator.
Peridot is angry that the Empire treats her like a peasant. She was promoted to Peridot 2.0 due to she technically helped the New Empire regain the Earth back. And yet, Commanders orders her to fix the equipment that Peridot 1.0 supposed to do. Heck, they supposed to worship her. She has done more than Jasper did to the Diamond Empire. so she deserves a throne from her point of view.
Okay, in all seriousness; she is supposed to be in frontline; to fix GAT-AT and kill Ellysian's clods as Peridot 2.0 supposed to do always...what the Clod!
"You're the Peridot class Gem and you should fix this! This is your responsibility!" Quartz Commander exclaims.
"NO! I'm Peridot 2.0. I'm not a technician anymore; I'm the combat engineer, you filthy clod!-I was promoted two years ago!"
Peridot realizing what she said covered her mouth, hoping that Quartz Commander didn't hear her.
But she heard her very well and she is not amused "Then I should report this to Grand Colonel. I'm sure he would be very happy knowing this Peridot won't listen to the orders."
Peridot starts shaking in fear. She is always afraid of Grand Colonel. She heard that Colonel has the collection of rebels gemstones as a war trophy...or worse.
"No! Don't do this please, I'm so sorry!"
"THEN START FIXING THIS GENERATOR! YOU PIECE OF CLOD!" he screamed, calling her the same way she called him.
Peridot perked up, grabbed the wrench and starts fixing the Generator...or improvising it. Commander looked at her with narrowed eyes and began walking away. The others soldiers followed the Quartz Commander. Peridot is now alone.

She put her visor on and grabbed the torch to fix the Generator.

The chromic eyebot flew to the Peridot. It makes exciting beep sounds.
"Yeah, they shouldn't mess with me, Clody" Peridot laughs.
Clody makes 360 degrees spin as approval of master's words.
"Good, Now guard here."
She puts her visor on and grabbed the torch to fix the Generator. Clody star floating the circles around the Peridot, showing that it guards her.
Steven got the courage to finally face Peridot, but it definitely will end badly.
"Gray, can you wait here?"
"Good luck" He salutes, showing him a respect that he is gonna hunt for Wild Peridot...technicly.
Steven left the Gray and starts approaching to Peridot, very carefully. He stopped for a moment and cleared his throat, thinking about his speech. Then he approached directly to her. Peridot didn't turn her head but heard the sounds of footsteps.
"There goes nothing," Steven said to himself.
Then he approached directly to her. Clody flew to him and examines him. Clody then makes happy beeping sounds.
"Stay away from my droid, human. If you want to fix something useless. Go and see Terra Novian engineers."
Cloddy transforms into the spider-droid creature. It's climbed to Steven's shoulder and make himself a comfortable. Steven pats Clody's head "Good droid"
Now his attention to Peridot...God help him.
Steven crossed his arms. "I'm not here for this, Peridot. I'm here to see you."
Peridot stopped doing her work. She placed the blowtorch on the sand and got up on her feet. She turns around. Steven gives her a big smile as the sign that is him. Peridot responded with one blink and raising her right eyebrow. "Do I know you, human?"
Steven rolled his eyes. "Oh, you know. That human child you met during your time on Earth. Apparently got grow up and became the man with a beard on his face." Steven giggles
Peridot widened her eyes with disbelief, then it replaces with the angry expression. "Don't bullshit me, human. I have basic knowledge of Human cultural. You are far taller than that boy."
"Peridot...we stopped the Cluster together. Also, The Diamond Authority send you and Jasper to fix the Earth's warp pad."

"Yeah" Steven tries to think for another variant "But-"
"You know what?" Peridot interrupts him "If you tell me that only I told to Steven then I will believe you."
Steven cups his chin, thinking about it "Your..." Steven snapped his fingers as he remembers "Your old Limb enhancer has your right foot in it. You told me a long time ago."

"Because, I'm that boy, Peridot! How many times I need to tell!" Steven exclaimed at her, he is very tired of all of this pile of nonsense.
She then removes her familiar to Steven visor and blinked many times to examine his face. "It's You then..."
She made one step forward to him. She reaches for her Gem-Boy and types something on it. Her device flashes and makes beep sounds. "Hmm," Peridot checks the result "It seems you're in the adult stage. Wonder what the difference between teenager and Adult."

"It's beard. When the male human hits the puberty. The facial hair starts growing up."

"Okay, STOP that!" He slapped her hand away from his face.
Peridot sighed frustratedly. "Come on! That thing is so ticklish...I-want-more!"
"No" Steven emotionally says.

"No!" Steven increases his tone's volume.
"Yes and Yes!" She poked his shoulder.
Steven releases a breath and says "No."
Peridot growled. She has an awesome idea. She extends her hand to him "You're going to allow this Peridot to touch your thing on your face."
Steven raised his right eyebrow as he doesn't know what the fuck is she doing "Are you trying Jedi mind trick me?"
"Well...it worked in the movie..." Peridot scratched her head.
"And it won't work in real life." Steven snarls at her
"Then- Wait a second" Peridot realized something strange "Aren't you supposed to be in the prison, right know?"
"Weeel" Steven rolled his eyes to the left "They give me gift...they released me...because...you know.." He shrugs his shoulders "Empire's stuff." He lies
"Interesting statement. And yet The Empire told every Imperial Gems on Earth that the human escaped one day ago." Peridot confidently says.
"Funny statement, doesn't it?" Steven pretends that he doesn't know, hoping that Peridot won't realizes is.
But she is already figured that out "Since you helped on this pathetic planet. I give you a chance to leave...and if I see you again, I report your location to the Empire."
"But can I asks for one offer from you?"
"Which one?"
"Well...I know you responsible for Ships schedule to Earth. I need at least one of them."

"A CRYSTAL GEM!? Peridot slapped his hands away from her shoulders "I never was a Crystal Gem. I was a Gem who stuck on Earth after the crash. I never swore to protect this forsaken planet."
"That's not true, Peridot. I vouched for you. It's because of me, they let you being unbubbled. You would haven't been here if I never offered you to become Crystal Gem!" The last statement, Steven hoped that increasing his tone would help him out.
Peridot grins at him, creepily. Like she has an upper hand on him "And thanks for you, I'm still alive. Thanks for everything, Clod. I Hope you have a great time in this new" She air quotes her fingers "Utopia."
In that moment. Steven decides to change to his method, time to unleash serious Steven for the job. "So you're a traitor? What a shame...I thought that we had some chemistry."
"What are you talking about it? What chemistry?"
"You don't know? You flirted with me on my 18 birthday. I thought that you interested in me. But nooo... you just a spy."
Peridot laughs "Actually, That purple midget gem dared me to flirt with you. She paid me a good amount of money for that."
"You what!" Steven can't believe this. DAMN YOU, AMETHYST!
Peridot crossed her arms with the strong grin. Her plays foul on him very strong

Steven placed Cloddy on the ground. The Cute droid makes disappointed sounds as disapproval.
Then he left them alone. The EMP Generator burst out on the fire behind Peridot. She cursed something in her language that Steven doesn't understand.
Steven then returned to place Gray is supposed to be, but he is not here. Where did he go?
"Gray?" Steven looks around.
"He is not here..." Someone says
Steven turned to left around to see a Pearl shaped like a soldier. She wears a chromic white armor. Her left shoulder pad has a crossed Yellow Star with the red line. She holding is Gemirian 10mm pistol on her hand.
"Who are you?"
The White Phantom Pearl says nothing to him, guess it's because she can't talk to others. Instead, She made about five steps. She extends her hand to him and offers a pistol. "Take it. My other sisters are hunting for you."
Steven slowly takes a pistol from her hand, making sure she will not attack him. He examined the pistol's design, It's a common 10 mm Gemirian pistol, which was constructed in 2018 AD as the first fire ranged weapon use by high Command such as Quartz Commanders, Fleets Commanders and more. Today, it's can be used by common Gem soldiers.
He hid it inside his jacket so that nobody can see it. "Thanks...but you' didn't answer me your name."
"It doesn't matter, Steven." Phantom Pearl snarled at him. She turned around and began to walk away from him.
Something is not right her voice...it so familiar. Maeby this Pearl is that Crytal Gem Pearl. Of course, she is...how can he be that stupid to not recognize the motherly voice of Pearl.
"You can't hide from me, Pearl. I know you behind that mask!" Steven shouted at Pearl, he can't believe how Pearl just will leave him without any hug or something. She promised Rose Quartz to protect him. And she is already leaving him alone. Steven can tell that Pearl changed for ten years.
Pearl stopped as he mentioned her name. She lowered her head and sighed depressingly.
She turns around to him and calmly greets him "Hello, Steven." She didn't give any emotions to him...Strange.
"Pearl." Steven whispers happily, He can't believe his own eyes that she is not shattered or worse. He was afraid of what the New Empire would do to her. Yet, she is here...and she is alive.
Steven ran up to her and hug her. She let him hug her but didn't embrace him.
"What happened to you?" Steven whispers.
"What?" Pearl didn't get his words at first.
"Why are you not hugging me?" Steven repeats
"Oh..." Pearl again didn't show any emotions to him, she only awkwardly embraces him "Sorry." Something is not right. Where is that fun loving Pearl?
Steven forcefully got out from her embrace. "What is wrong with you, Pearl!"
"What are you implementing, Steven?" Pearl again showed no emotions.
"Why are you acting like this, where is that Pearl I know and love?"
Pearl looked left, probably thinking about something. Then she directed her gaze to him "I..I killed many of our friends..." She says very quietly.
"What?" Steven quietly asks her again, slightly leaning his face to her masked face.
Peridot starts shaking, she is struggling, to tell the truth to him. She closed her eyes to calm herself, mumbling some words to her. Then she slowly opens her eyes "I..I killed Bismuth, Lion, and Jewel!" Pearl freaked out.
She fell on her knees and starts sobbing "IM A MONSTER!" Pearl cry out.
"What do you mean! Why are you thinking like that!" Steven exclaimed. He doesn't understand her behavior of not explaining everything to him.
"The matriarch ordered me to kill them all!" Pearl sobs "If I would refuse, she would kill me!"
"The Matriarch?" Steven doesn't who Matriarch is.
"Mother to all Pearls!" Pearl sobs more "Please!" She grips by his shoulder "END ME! KILL ME!"
"NO! I will not!" Steven screamed, trying to hold back his tears.
"Please!" She pulls out her dagger and offers to him"Take it and stab me! I'm worthless trash!"
"STOP!" Steven, with all his anger, pushed her away from him. Pearl nearly lost her balance but managed to not fall. Although her dagger fell on the floor.
Steven caught his breath, calming himself.
He widened his eyes as he realized what he did to her, he hurt the one who promised to protect him ("What I became?") Steven whispers, looking at his hand.
("A powerful Mutant you're, Silicon.") A feminine voice trails in his head.
Steven touched his head, he can't tell what is going on. "Look at this shameless Pearl, Silicon. A fragile and corrupted. It's better to kill her, don't you think?"
("Who are you?") Steven said in his mind
("I'm a true part of your destiny, Silicon. That Rose Mutant made you as a shadow of your true self...I'm your guidance to remove the organic system from your body!")
("Harbinger!") Steven exclaimed in his mind. That ancient Destroyer is now stalking him. but he didn't get the answer.
("Answer me!") Steven exclaimed in his mind again. But he didn't get the answer. The voice completely disappeared.
Pearl is still quietly sobbing under her mask not because he hit her...because of what she did to Bismuth, Lion, and Jewel. Steven sighed. He is already tired all of this. The New Empire really drive him insane. "Why you want to kill yourself, Pearl?"
"Because I'm monster, Steven! I failed both you and Rose Quartz! I need to die!"
"No, You're not! You did by the force, Pearl. You don't have to feel guilty about it."
"But I killed them!" Pearl exclaimed, still sobbing.
"You already told me that you killed Green Pearl during the Rebellion. You have to get over with it. And besides; You're not a trash, Pearl."
He pats her shoulder "you're still my dearest friend. I know that you didn't felt pleasure after you killed them. Your expression says it to me."
Steven then embraces her "You can redeem yourself if you will help me, Pearl."
Pearl hugs him back, this time, it warming hug "I really don't know, Steven. I already did many damages. I can't fix them." Pearl rested her head on his shoulder.
"You can fix your mistakes by joining me, Pearl."
"What do you mean?" Pearl releases him from their hug.
"I need to gather the crew to fight back the new Empire," Steven says
"I understand..." Pearl smiled, feeling how her memories hit her again "Rose would do the same thing, Steven. She would be very proud of you." Pearl smiles at him
("I already proud. Both of you,") Rose says in his mind.
Steven smiles "She already, Pearl. And she will be proud more if you join me."
"I would love to, Steven." She turns her head to the right, probably inspecting if they are alone "But others Phantom Pearls are watching every step of mine."
Steven sighed but Pearl then placed her hands on his shoulders "Don't worry my baby. I will find you when the time will come."
"So, until then?" Steven, although he didn't like that she called him a baby, still holds a smile to her.
"Until then." Pearl turned around. She grabbed her dagger from the floor. She about to walk away but Steven gripped by her armored arm "I need you to do something...for me."
"Yes, Steven?" She turned to him
"Show me your face...I didn't saw you for ten years."
Pearl becomes silent for a moment. Then reaches down for her pipe that connects her mask with her armor and removes it with the sound of pressure coming down from the pipe.
She then removes masked-helmet from her head and revealed her slightly blushed after he saw her. Pearl still has that cute face of hers. She also got some new scars on her left cheek. Guess the Empire tortured her.
"You haven't changed, Pearl." Steven smiles.
"You did." Pearl makes weak smile. "You grew up since the last I saw you."
"I didn't change that much since I become 19 years old, Pearl," Steven says with a smirk on his face.
"I know...I just happy to see your face, Steven." Pearl says in a low tone.
"You too, Pearl..." He scratches his head "Our dialog is kind of awkward after we didn't saw each other for ten years, don't you think?" Steven smiles
"I know. Guess it's how the universe works here."
"True..." Steven makes a long pause, Pearl notices his blush, his blush gave her a warm smile "I want to you ask one question before you leave..." Steven finally says.
"Ask away." Pearl smiles, weakly.
"Remember what I told you in the elevator?" Steven makes step forward to her.
"About...us?" A shade of blue appears on her cheeks. How cute!
"Yes." Steven reaches for her hand and squeezes it "Do you still supports us?"
Pearl laid another her hand to his, comforting him that way "I need to still think about it, Steven."
Steven sighs that she didn't decide yet, he admires Pearl as a friend very well but his feelings man...his feelings to her really tells him to develop with her more than friendship.
But it another way. It feels so wrong to him. She is just like a second mother to him, he can't have the romance with her second mother.
"I understand, Pearl" They both released from each other, still having eye contact. Then Pearl's lips to starts to quiver. But she got a courage to do it due to she feels guiltiness. She leaned and planted a kiss on his right bearded cheek "Be careful." She whispers
Pearl put her helmet on, connected her pipe to her helmet. She turned around and says "I will see you soon."
Then Pearl left from his view. Steven waved to her, even though it's too late. Now the main problem is, he doesn't know where Gray went.
"Oh please, don't tell me he actually betrayed me," Steven said to himself, thinking that maybe Gray set up a trap for him.
Then Greg's van approached and stopped next to Steven. Greg looked out of the van's window "Get in, kiddo"
Steven didn't answer, He got on the van and put the seatbelt on. Greg hit the pedal and the van starts moving. "What is going on?" Steven asks
"Ask your comrade Gray over there." Greg pointed with his thumb finger to the cargo section.
Steven turned his head to the back. Gray is sitting on the van's floor with Peridot laying on his laps. Clody naps on Gray's shoulder.
"Gray...what in the name of God you did to her?"
Gray looks at him "I show some respect to her."
"Explain"
Gray rolls his eyes to left "Weeel..."
Some minutes ago
Gray heard their conversation. His mood reached to zero level thanks to her. Even he is angry that Peridot plays games with Steven.
"Nobody messes with Steven, you ungrateful little bitch." Gray stick up for his friend from the Earth
He left his place and sneak up behind some crates. He noticed that Steven left Peridot alone. Emp Generator burst out in the fire. Peridot curse many bad words that Gray can only hope if Goddess Diamond would stare at Peridot with "Oh, you did not!" face.
Gray walked directly to Peridot. "Peridot!" he growled
"Again! How many times do I need to tell that I-" She stops fixing the EMP Generator and turns around, she stopped after she saw him. "oh it's you."
"Yeah, it's me. Listen, Carnelian ordered me to transfer an reward for your great services you did to the Empire, Peridot."
Peridot widened her eyes, a reward for her services? AWESOME!
She starts jumping happily "Really!? Give me!"
Gray grins, luckily for him, she can't see his face "Close your eyes and I will give you a present"
Peridot closed her eyes "I can't believe, today is my best-"
*Smack*
Peridot felt a bad headache as Gray punched right into her face, breaking her visor by the pieces. She lost her conscious and feel on the sand.
"Oh, You fell for it! In your face, Peridot!" Gray laughed at how it was easy.
Clody looked at the unconscious master for a moment. It looked at Gray and makes happy sounds.
"Yeah, she is really naive," Gray smirked.
Gray then grabbed Peridot. Clody climbed on Gray's shoulder. It's making another happy sound
"Hey, I ship them too!" Gray is surprised that Clody supports Stevidot very much
*Suggestion sounds*
"Yeah! Let's make this ship possible again!"
Gray then left with Cloddy on his shoulder while humming Gemirian Imperial march.
Now
"And then Greg saw me, offered me a hand and here am."
*Cloddy beeps worriedly*
"Nah, the Empire won't miss her, that's for sure."
"Okay then, Gray. What's the plan since Peridot didn't give us an information we need?"
"I have an idea. But only until we arrive at Connie's house."
"By the way," Greg reminded himself of what Connie told to him "Connie will leave the Beach City for a while" Greg says
"Why?"
"Because her husband will arrive Empire City tomorrow. And you also need to be careful." Greg makes silent response
"What?"
"Both Super Star Destroyer Executor and Imperial Royal Dreadnought will arrive at the orbit. And for what, you can guess" Greg slightly shivered
"I had a bad feeling about this" Steven whispers to himself. He knows why.
His Grandfather is coming to Earth.

Imperial Royal Dreadnought moved to Mars slowly but proudly, showing the ship's prestige of being the most fearful ships on the Empire. The menacing sounds of Royal Dreadnoughts engines make the scene even better.
The three Star Destroyers moved to greet the Royal Dreadnought. Once this three Destroyers got closer. The shadow of Royal Dreadnought falls upon them.
The Royal Dreadnought is the second biggest cruiser on the Gemirian Empire. The first one is, of course, The Executor that belongs to Grand Colonel Redstone.
The big ship is supposed to represent to the Gemirian Eagle. As Empire's tradition. Eagle represents power, domination, and order of Gems Society. The designers made an impressive job to create Gemirian Eagle's head at the top of the Royal Dreadnought's triangle form.
Carnelian is standing on the main bridge of the Dreadnought, looking at a window as Star Destroyer passes by his ship. A smile forms up as he feels proudness that he created far more powerful Empire than the Diamonds did.
The Pear Matriarch, who looks like an ordinary Pearl but only has feathers on her head, is discussing with Admiral Rubicon. She is ahead of Phantoms Pearls army.
Phantom Pearls calls her as "Mother to all Pearls". Pearls have their own hierarchy where The Pearl Matriarch stands above else. The others Pearls can't have the rights to dictate to Matriarch Pearl but if they will do...then death will come to them.
Matriarch is discussing with Admiral Rubicon who is a leader of Dreadnought cruiser. She is a mix of Ruby class Gem and Quartz Gem. Due to Carnelian rarely uses his ship, he instructed Admiral to lead this ship and Carnelian's Royal Fleet.
"Admiral!" One of the navigators cries out to him.
"Yes, Navigator?" Admiral Rubicon stopped with Matriarch and approached to the navigator.
"I think we got something, Admiral" Navigator pressed the button on her computer. The screen shows a crash site of the shuttle "Terra Nova send a message that one of our shuttles crashed one day ago."
"Of course it's Universe and Diamond Scum!" Admiral Rubicon growls, every time when someone talks about that human and traitorous Yellow Diamond, she gets angry that they manage to play "cat and mouse" games with the Great Empire.
"My Pearls will track him down." The Matriarch Pearl says to her.
"It better to send death squad on them. He has a power of Rose Quartz in him. Combine with the power of Yellow Diamond, They both are unstoppable."
"I know that, Admiral." The Matriarch Pearl grins.
"They are not powerful as you think, Admiral." Carnelian joined their conversation "Universe still has the powers of Rose Quartz. But he doesn't understand them. And Celiana...she never even swing her sword."
"So what your verdict, my lord? Should we send Death Squad or let Phantom Pearls to finish their jobs?"
Carnelian crossed his arms, thinking about it. After thinking, he gazed at his commanders "Let the Pearls do their task. But if they will fail me. I will find Steven and Yellow Diamond personally."
Admiral salutes to his leader "Yes, my lord." she turns around and leaves her leader.
"My lord" The Matriarch Pearl bows and leaves him too.
Carnelian returned to the main window and stares at the endless space. The thoughts of his grandson still didn't disappear. "How come one single human gives me big problems than the entire Ellysian Empire," Carnelian whisper to himself.
Back to Steven
Greg parked the van near Connie's house. "I will be here, kid. " Greg says to Steve.
Steven nodded to his father. He and Gray with Peridot on his arms and Cloddy on his shoulder disembarked from Greg's van and went to Connie house. Steven rings a bell. Connie opened her door. She wears a coat which means they soon will leave this town "Guys, it's good to..." Connie stops as he notices that Gray is holding Peridot and Cloddy on his shoulder "What I missed?"
"A lot" Gray grins funny.
Connie let them come into her house. "I will be in the kitchen" Steven can't tell what they are doing, guess they are drawing a picture.
"Guys, where can I laid this worthless Gem? my arms are tired" Gray cry out.
"Bathroom" Connie cry out back.
Gray sighed "Always a bathroom" He mumbled to himself as he went to upstairs with Peridot on his arms. Steven approached Yellow Diamond and Aveline, They are doing something on the floor "How are you guys?"
"How are you guys?" He asks them.
"Hey there!" Yellow stand up and planted a sweet kiss on his cheek "We are doing fine. Aveline wants to make a present to her father."
"Really?" Steven smiled that Aveline cares about her father.

"Okay, what next, Celiana?" Aveline asks

"Okay," Aveline grabs the yellow marker and starts drawing. "Done!" she shows her picture to Steven. Yellow Diamond clapped her hands together, hoping that Steven would like it.
Steven raised his eyebrow as he saw this strange picture. It's a picture of the Diamond Authority main symbol. Okay? Why does Yellow Diamond think that Aveline's father will like the picture of The Diamond Authority's symbol?
"Yellow..." Steven turns to her.

Steven shows Aveline's picture to Yellow "Why you think that her father would like this?"
Celiana raised her right tender eyebrow to him "Everyone loves these type of pictures."
"Here on Earth-" Steven gives it back to Aveline. "We don't know what the Diamond Authority is"

"I know you did." Steven smiles at her.

Connie approached Steven with the serious expression "Steven, we need to talk...outside."
Soon after, they both went outside. Connie put her Luggage in her car's trunk. "Greg already told you, doesn't he?" She closed the car's trunk.
"Yep," Greg approached to them, drinking his coffee.
Connie becomes worried. She doesn't want to upset him that much already "Look...I know that-" She taps her fingers together.
"I'm not angry at you." Steven interrupts "It's your life, not mine" Steven smiles.
"I know...just it's not right to leave you here."
"I won't be staying here, Connie. I'm going outside this solar system and find a help."
Connie smiles "Sounds like you will have some adventure there!"
"It would be more awesome if you joined me. Galaxy is a big place."
Connie expression becomes serious "I would too, Steven. But I have a family to take care. Aveline is still too young to be separate from me."
"I understand, Connie. I wish the best of you. I hope that this war won't bother you as much it does to me."
"You sound like you feel guilty"
Steven sighs. "I feel guilty because I haven't stopped the Homeworld from destroying our freedom." He releases his breath before looking at the sky "When I was 12 years old. I only made stupid actions like wanting hologram Pearl as a replacement. I cared only about fun, but I knew that Homeworld would try to attack us" He turns to her "And I completely ignore this. I could save millions of lives if I trained harder. Now everyone who I know is gone or either dead."
Steven lowers his head, looking at the random sand "I failed everyone...but I promised myself to change...to become a serious person...to finally make right decisions."
"And you will be, Steven" Connie approached to him, she grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "When I first time saw you, I thought that you're another crazy kid...but when I get closer to know you...I saw a future hero of Humanity. You're the dearest friend that I'm not ashamed to tell everyone."
Connie leaned and kissed his cheek "Once your journey will be completed. Please, come back for us. Earth is where your home is."
"I will, Connie" He smiles
Connie laid her head on his chest, she is slightly tearing as she is about to say goodbyes to her dearest friend that always been the friendliest one.
She heard how the door open. Yellow Diamond and Aveline went outside. Steven released Connie from their hug "You ready, sweety?" Connie wipes some tears on her face.
"You okay, mommy?"
"Yeah...just allergy, sweetheart."
"Uncle Steve..." Aveline turns to Steven "I want to give you something before I will leave" Aveline smiles
Steven stood on knees to have eye contact with same level "What is it?"
"This" She hands him an Earth sticker "My friends brought it to me, I didn't give that much attention to it. Maybe it will be handy to you."
Steven smiles to her. This gift is really generous to him since he is leaving Earth. "Thank you, Aveline."
Aveline both hug Steven and Yellow Diamond. She released them and take a seat in Connie's car.
Connie then hugs Greg "Take care, kiddo." He says to her
"Thank you. After Steven will leave my house. Make sure that everything is locked." Connie released him.
Greg nodded. Connie looked at Steven for the last time. She entered her car, started engines and drove forward. Steven weakly showed his hand as a goodbye to her.
"Well," Greg approached his son "You and Gray find about that ship. I will be inside my van in any case."
Steven nodded to him. Yellow Diamond went to the house, leaving thinking Steven outside.
He looked at the sticker. He placed it on the panel of his Gem-Boy. He looks at the sky, thinking what he will face there. It's his Destiny.
"Well...a new life for me...being a rebel."
He gets a new notification on his Gem-Boy

Summary:
After Steven and Yellow Diamond escaped the hostile controlled planet. They traveled to Earth, only to find out it controlled by Loyal to Empire Terra Nova. Without any options left. Steven with his friends needs to find a way to leave the orbit and find help outside the Sollar System.

Steven touched on skills section. He has 10% percent points to improve his skills.
Barter: 5% (The better, the higher you get advantages over the prices.)
Guns: 5% (A new type of weaponry. With this, you will easily handle the range weapons technology of different Empires, have fun Gemdler!)
Speech: 16% (Dealing with other species and having silver tongue gives you advantage over them. White Diamond would be so proud of you!)
Medicine: 5% (Affects how your Gemstone handles from poofing. The higher the better!)
Melee Weapons: 5% (Be a traditional Gem Warrior! With this skill, you improve your fighting movements.)
Sneak: 7% (Sometimes, sneaky approach is better. The higher, the better chance that Phantom Pearls will like you more.)
Steven set his skills. His speech is now 20%, Guns is 10% and Barter is 6%
He also gets a new notification:
"From this day forward, your decisions will affect the outcome of this Great War. Many of your friends can or will die. But you have a mission. To stop the Homeworld once in for all"
"Good Luck!" Peri-Girl smiles
Now after Steven set his skills and everything. He went to Connie's house. Yellow Diamond is reading a book while Gray is waiting patiently for Steven.
"Gray, tell me your plan to persuade her."
"Come on." Gray gestured him to follow to the kitchen. Peridot is lying unconscious on the table.

"Steven, let me use your Gem-Boy"
Steven let him do it. Gray opened Steven's Gem-Boy's tape recorder and inserted the tape. He closed it and hit "Play" button.
*Begin of Transmission*
Admiral Rubicon: "Grand Colonel Redstone! I probably won't be surprised about that you know about annoying Peridot. Yes, that one who returned to Homeworld."
Peridot raised her eyebrow, she is listening very well
Admiral Rubicon: "I suspect this Peridot proved to be a good asset to both Diamond Empire and New Galactic Gemirian Empire. But yet, she is mostly respected the Diamond Empire than our Empire. "Yeah. But the Empire accused pilot of having connections with GRA. The Pilot will be in this town."
"SVE Gemia? This ship transferred to Homeworld a long time ago" Yellow Diamond joined their conversation "The pilot is Pureblood Gem named Ryder Geo."
"Ryder Geo? I know him since the Strawberry battle. It will be a piece of cake." Gray confidently says.
"I hope you right, Gray." Steven turns to Peridot "When he will be here?"
"At 5 AM, I think."
"Great, another time of waiting." Gray threw his hands in the air, that they need to wait for at least 8 or 6 hours.
His arm device starts beeping "Corporal Gray, this is Grand Colonel Redstone speaking, report"
Gray slightly jumped, Grand Colonel really can scare Gems "Everything is quiet here, sir. No signs of rebels." He lied
"Good son. I need to you to the Executor right know. We need to talk"
"I will arrive as soon as possible, sir."
"Good, Redstone out." After he ended the transmission. Gray's mood lowered. Dealing with Grand Colonel is the worst thing can happen to Gem.
"You okay?" Steven asks.
"Probably not," Gray shrugs "Redstone is the worst Gem to deal with. Even Jaspers is a puffy snowflake compare to him. Wish me luck, guys
Gray left house, leaving Steven with Yellow Diamond and Peridot alone.
