Thanks to everyone who read (and especially reviewed!) the first chapter. I'm glad to see there's some interest in this little bit of insanity I have wrought, and believe me when I say....y'all ain't seen nothin' yet!

Hera watched from the corridor as the door to Sabine's quarters opened. It was quite telling that the girl was in the blouse, skirt and sandals she had come back with a few days before rather than her Mandalorian armor. To say that Hera was concerned with Sabine's recently-secretive behavior would have been an understatement.
"And just where do you think you're going?" the Twi'lek asked.
"I'm not sneaking out - not this time, anyway. I was going to tell you and Kanan where I was going."
"And that is...?"
"While I was out before, I met someone. A contact, you could say. She doesn't know about us and has connections that could be useful. I'm going to meet with her and see if I can learn anything."
Hera cocked an eyebrow. "And is this 'contact' where you got that outfit?"
Sabine scowled. "And if it is? Why are you being so suspicious"
"Why are you being so evasive? Besides, I'm suspicious of someone who buys you a new outfit the first time you meet."
"She didn't buy it; they were old clothes she didn't wear anymore and decided to give them to me."
"And why did she feel the need to do this? You told us earlier you did some shopping, but now you're saying this new outfit was a gift. Something's not adding up, Sabine, and I don't like it."
The Mando girl's expression hardened. "I did buy something while I was out."
"What was it?"
"Clothes."
"What kind? Show me."
"I'd prefer not to."
"Sabine.....show me."
"Make me!"
"Don't think I won't!"
This commotion brought Zeb and Kanan from the common room. They came up beside Hera, one on either side. "What's goin' on, Hera? The li'l runt givin' you lip again?" the hulking Lasat asked.
"She's going out again and her stories aren't adding up." Unseen to Sabine, Ezra had crept up behind her, leaning against the wall. Kanan was slightly alarmed by the fact that the boy had his lightsaber in hand.
"This isn't like you, Sabine. You've never been anything but honest with us before. We're...well, we're worried. That's all." the Jedi said, trying to defuse the tense situation.
Sabine scoffed. "All I see are people I thought were my friends treating me like I'm some traitor."
"Well....are you?" Hera asked.
"Of course not!"
"Then why won't you tell us where you're going? Or let us go with you - if this 'contact' of yours has information, I think we'd all like to hear it."
Sabine sighed. "It's not that simple. I'm the only one she knows...if we all showed up, she'd get scared. I've already started building trust with her and I need to see this through."
Kanan let his eyes drift over to Ezra, who met his gaze with a stern, focused look the likes of which he'd never seen on the boy before. Ezra gave one brief nod of his head, then quietly backed out of the corridor. Kanan gave him enough time to get to the cargo hold before speaking.
"Alright, Sabine - you can go." He pulled a remote from his pocket and pressed a button. From within the ship, the crew heard the cargo ramp being lowered. "But keep your comlink with you and let us know if there's any trouble or you learn anything." To Hera, he said, "Remember, we're all in this together and we have to trust one another."
Having seen Ezra disappear, Hera took the hint. "I...I guess you're right. I overreacted. I'm sorry, Sabine."
The Mando girl took a moment to calm herself down. "I'm sorry, too. I'll let you know if I learn anything." On that, she turned around and headed for the cargo ramp.
***********************************************************************************
Outside the ship, Sabine turned towards the city and began the long walk to the gates. She'd told Maketh that morning to meet her at the center of the market, in the square next to the fountain that used to have sitting atop it a stone statue of a Jedi Knight but now sported a sculpture of Emperor Palpatine as he had been at the outbreak of the Clone Wars.
Sabine hated that statue. Pompous and arrogant and grandiose, it always struck her as if he knew he would be the last Chancellor of the Republic and would have a stranglehold on the galaxy for life. Like Palpatine himself, the statue stood for everything she hated about the Empire, and that was why she had chosen this meeting spot. She had to keep things in focus. Despite whatever she was feeling for Maketh, real or imagined, she was an Imperial, and an incredibly loyal one, at that. I have to keep my guard up...but I also have to sort out what I'm feeling now. One way or another, this needs to be settled. Today.
It wasn't long after Sabine arrived that the familiar landspeeder pulled into the square. The rear door opened and Sabine got in quickly so as to prevent anyone from getting a peek at who else might be inside. Maketh, however, was not in the vehicle; there was only the driver. Once the door shut, he turned to her and said, "Lady Maketh sends her greetings and apologizes for not being here in person, but she wanted to prepare something special for you upon your arrival back at the mansion."
He paused a moment, then said, "And, privately, I wish to thank you. I do not know what you did or how you did it, but the Lady has made formal her declaration to cease her 'depravities', regardless of what you decide today. She apologized to the staff for any indignities they had to endure over the last few years, gave us all rather handsome bonuses for our loyalty and discretion and allowed anyone who wished to leave her service to do so without any repercussions or animosity. None of us have left, of course; we've been serving her and her family for a long time now and that means something for those who choose to serve others. But we had all hoped she would, if I may use the term, come to her senses, and it seems meeting you has done just that. And so, on behalf of all who serve the Tua family, we thank you." He then handed her a small box wrapped with a ribbon.
"When the maids went to clean Lady Maketh's room the day you left, the Lady was painting something. Apparently, she had seen it, erm, well, on you at some point during the night. We on the staff knew that one day you would return, and so we each contributed some of our bonus to commission this. It comes from the finest metal-worker on Lothal, and I do hope you will accept it as our thank you."
Sabine opened the box and inside was an extremely beautiful, delicate-looking chain made out of electrum. Attached to an orichalcum ring on the chain was a credcoin-sized piece of of sparkling aurodium, forged into a shape she knew very well.
"A starbird....I had Ez.....a friend of mine ink that on my shoulder last week. It's always been my favorite symbol....thank you, but this must have cost a fortune. What is your name?"
The driver smiled. "Urik Botos. But you may call me Urik."
"Sabine. Sabine Wren." the Mando girl replied, fastening the pendant around her neck.
"An honor and a pleasure, Miss Sabine. But enough dawdling; Lady Maketh awaits." The speeder pulled away from the square, the crowd of shoppers paying it no mind whatsoever.
Save for one.
Disguised beneath a wide-brimmed hat, a poncho and a bandana over his mouth and nose, Ezra watched Sabine get into the luxurious craft from next to a speeder bike rental booth. Seeing his cue, he dropped a handful of credcoins into the dealer's hand, climbed aboard a bike and took off after the landspeeder.
***********************************************************************************
The landspeeder left the capitol city and headed into the countryside, far removed from the prying eyes of the citizenry, and pulled up outside the wall surrounding Maketh's mansion. A guard sat in a small booth on either side of the gate, both of them women and armed with old-but-well-kept DC-17A blaster rifles. Urik eased the speeder up between the booths and pressed a switch that lowered his window as well as the one next to Sabine. The guards took a quick look at the two, then one pressed a switch inside his booth which opened the heavy metal gate while the second waved the speeder through.
The gate shut behind them and Urik deftly pulled along the winding uphill duracrete path which led to the parking bay for the speeder. The massive bay door was still closing behind them when Sabine popped out of the speeder and headed for an interior door, held open by another of Maketh's servants, that led into a receiving room of the mansion.
Inside this room, Maketh was seated in a large, overstuffed high-backed chair.
All she wore was a smile.
Sabine's eyes went as wide as dinner plates. "M-Maketh? Why are you...I mean...uh.....that is...I expected...I mean, didn't expect...."
Maketh giggled, her rounded breasts jiggling with the motion. "Surprise, dearie. When I'm not entertaining officials and dignitaries, this is how I prefer to relax." For the first time, Sabine noticed that the women of the serving staff were also in the room, lined up along the walls, and all they wore were aprons, some of which covered their breasts and others which did not. "And of course I give the staff the option of 'dressing down', as well."
Sabine gulped. "I...I can see that." Oh, can I ever see that...
Maketh stood up, her long, graceful legs catching Sabine's gaze. "Girls, if the refreshments are finished then you may take the rest of the day off. Sabine and I will take care of ourselves for the day. Thank you all for helping me prepare this morning, and of course you may help yourselves to anything you wish." The servants bowed, then removed themselves from the room. "They'll probably spend their day in the bath house. Urik is the only man I have on my staff and he has his own cottage on the other side of the grounds, so he won't disturb us or vice-versa." She walked over and hugged Sabine. "The first time we met, you were decidedly underdressed. Now I'd say you're quite overdressed. Should we do something about that?"
Sabine was nervous, but looking into the bright, warm, loving eyes of Maketh, she felt calmed and reassured. She stepped out of her sandals, pulled the blouse over her head and, hooking her thumbs into the waistband, shoved the skirt to the floor. Then, blushing like mad, she embraced the older woman and pulled her into a deep, passionate kiss - her entire body trembling the whole time.
Maketh moaned into the kiss. "That's my girl." Then she noticed the pendant. "Where'd you get that, little one?"
Sabine blushed harder. "Urik gave it to me....said it was from the entire staff...to thank me for...um...." She gathered her clothes up and set them into the large chair, carefully placing the pendant in its box on top of them.
"I understand; I know my previous ways were not easy on them. But now that you're here....I think we'll all be able to relax more." She paused. "You...are staying for a while, right? And after today....you'll come back?"
Sabine nodded. "I don't think I could stay away. I'm...I'm not sure really how feel about all of this, but I know I like being with you." She let out a small "eep" as Maketh's hand cupped her right butt cheek.
"And what of this 'Ezra', hm? Does he still factor in?"
Sabine lowered her gaze. "I...I don't know. I think I want him to, but lately he's only been angry with me."
"You didn't tell your friends about us, then."
"It would be hard enough to say that I found a lover while on a drunken binge....never mind that said lover happens to be the highest-ranking person on the planet. And Ezra.....he's never good at hiding his emotions. When he's happy or sad or angry or whatever, it's plain to see. And the fact that he hasn't spoken to me since you and I met is disturbing."
Maketh nodded, leading Sabine by the hand out the rear parlor doors to the walled-in garden outside. Birds, insects and small animals darted here and there, going about their business as if the two humans didn't even exist, but the sounds were almost as music to Sabine's ears. "Well, tell him. Tell him everything, if you must. I can assure you that your friends won't have to deal with any repercussions from me; I just want you to be happy, and if reassuring your friends that you're safe is what it takes, I don't mind - even if it does mean my dirty little secret gets out."
"It's more complicated than you think," Sabine said. "My friends don't care much for authority types."
Maketh laughed. "Who does, really? I'm a politician and all but even I have to take orders from someone, be it the governor, the Senate or the Emperor himself." She thought for a moment. "I'll tell you what; you can give your friends a message from me. Whatever they've done, whatever trouble they're in, I will help them. To prove my good faith. If they have warrants on them, I can make them disappear. If they owe debts, I will pay them off. Whatever it takes."
Sabine gulped. "That's very generous, Maketh, but I'm not sure that will work."
"It's worth a shot, my dear. Now, let's go for a walk." She stepped off of the marble porch and onto the cool, green grass, beckoning Sabine to follow her.
Sabine had rarely been naked outside, and never in such a luxurious setting. The freedom was exhilarating. This is all so beautiful.....the trees, the bushes, flowers everywhere.... Then her gaze fell on Maketh's porcelain-smooth backside without a tan line to be seen. And the view isn't bad, either....
As they walked further along, the girl began to see fruit trees clustered together, various berries and other fruits growing on vines, delicious-looking nuts growing on the ends of branches....it reminded her of a story her family used to tell her, of a time before greed, hatred, war and strife came to the galaxy of a garden-like paradise where food was abundant, no-one lacked for anything and there was nothing but peace and contentment to be had. And right now...that paradise is all ours. She looked over at Maketh, whose body continued to amaze and arouse her. In this setting, the woman's beauty was amplified, as though she was the prototype for all women and no other could quite come close to her sheer perfection.
Her reverie was halted when she noticed a clump of very familiar-looking trees and the fruit they bore. "It...it can't be....are those....?"
Maketh smiled. "Yes; Mandalorian oranges. I thought you'd single those out."
Sabine was taken aback. "Oh...um...I just...saw them...once...in a book...yeah..."
The older woman laughed. "Oh, don't think me the fool, Sabine. In my career I've traveled to a great many places, and I know a Mandalorian when I see one. You certainly aren't a native to Lothal - your walk and posture give that away. You have the grace and presence of a born warrior, regardless of how you try to hide it behind that feminine veneer. All the hair dye and body art in the galaxy could not cover up what it is that makes you so beautiful."
Sabine sighed. "Alright; you win. I was born on Mandalore. My family fell on hard times, and I came here to Lothal a few years ago to try and make things better." She steeled herself, then said "I'm also not an Academy student. I'm a merc. I'm a deadly shot and good with explosives. When we first met...that was just a job. I was supposed to distract you so my employers could steal that shipment. I didn't know any more than that; I figured it was credits or high-end trade goods. They were certainly paying me well enough." Not the complete truth, but it's all she needs to know. But she's just too blasted perceptive for me to be able to fool her for very long.
"I see."
"If that means you want me to leave and never come back, I will. But as long as we're being honest here, I swear to you I'm not on any kind of a job this time. I went to that bar of my own accord, and it was pure chance that we met again. No-one knows I'm here, and unless you still want me to come clean to my friends - yes, they're mercs, too, including the big purple guy - no-one will ever know I was here. I give you my word of honor."
Maketh looked down at the girl for several long moments, then a smile crept across her face. "Oh, my dear Sabine, I never would have cast you out. I understand what it's like to be desperate and doing what you have to do to survive. I won't judge you nor hold it against you, and all I ask is that before you do another 'job' locally, you check with me and make sure it isn't anything that will harm Lothal or the Empire."
"I...I think I can do that...yeah."
"Good. Who knows - it might even be to your benefit. Certain people might look the other way or a patrol isn't where it should be.....it's hard to tell what could happen if there was a simple error in the phrasing of an order."
"Th-that's a lot of, er, 'benefit'....isn't that an abuse of your power?"
Maketh smirked. "It might be. But not all abuses of power are for evil, Sabine. If all you and your friends do is 'appropriate' some food shipments or textile supplies and whatnot...well, no-one's getting hurt. And, really, the Empire should be supplying those things to the citizens anyway. It was part of the deal I brokered when I formally brought Lothal into the Empire and was made Minister under Governor Pryce. Instead the majority of it goes to the Stormtrooper garrison or winds up on the black market. It is despicable, it is dishonorable and nothing I have ever done has been able to stop it. If helping you and your friends means that I can help those people - the people I am oath-sworn to serve and protect - then so be it." She reached up and plucked two fruit from the tree, each one over twice the size of Sabine's fist. "Now that we have business out of the way....have an orange!" She tossed one to the girl, and they began peeling and eating as they continued to walk through the tiny bit of paradise Maketh had cultivated on the planet.
Soon they came to a small pond at the back of the garden, set into the base of the wall. It was oval-shaped roughly twenty meters across and about half that wide. "Yes, that's real. Not many like them in this part of Lothal. I had to jump through a lot of hoops and red tape to expand my property this far back and include it in my garden - that was back before I was made Minister. I'm sure you'll agree it was worth it." Sabine could only nod in agreement. "So, can you swim?"
"What?"
"Can you swim?"
"Well...not since I was a little girl. I might be rusty."
"You'll be fine. Come on!" Maketh gripped her hand and pulled her to the water's edge. They waded in, Sabine gasping as the cool water and silty soil surrounded her bare feet, but the deeper they went the more she adjusted. It's colder than it looks from the outside, she thought. She felt her nipples harden instantly as soon as the water touched them. Way colder. A glance told her that the water had the same effect on her lover.
"This is....nice." Sabine finally said as they made their way to the center of the pond. She told the truth; she hadn't been swimming since her childhood. She watched as Maketh bent in half and plunged underwater. It was so clear she could see the older woman touch the bottom and come back up. "Wow; you must do this a lot."
"Every chance I get, though this is the first time I've ever had company."
"You mean...I'm the first one you've ever brought here?" Maketh nodded. "Not even your servant girls?"
"Oh, I've invited them, but they're much too professional to cross that line, which is a pity. As you saw they are far from hard on the eyes. But that's neither here nor there; try a dive with me. It's only seven meters down. You can make it."
Sabine nodded, then took a deep breath, let it out, inhaled again and dove. She reflexively closed her eyes as the water hit them, but forced them open as she kicked her way down. Maketh was right next to her, her golden hair trailing behind her like the tail of a comet. It wasn't long before she hit the bottom. The silt puffed out in slow motion as her hands cushioned her; a small fish swam in front of her, as if wondering what manner of creature she was, before darting away. Beside her, Maketh had settled on the bottom, her legs crossed and her hair floating up above them as it would in zero-gravity.
She looks like an angel, Sabine thought. I don't regret this. Not one little bit. Her lungs started to scream for air, so she signaled to Maketh, flipped over and kicked for the surface. The two girls broke through at the same time.
"That was incredible...I've never been in water so clear and pure." Sabine said, which made her lover smile.
"This is my favorite place. I just feel so at home in the water."
"I'm more comfortable around a roaring fire, but....I could get used to this." She drifted over and hugged Maketh. "Especially with company this nice." They kissed once more, each still tasting the sour tang of the oranges in each other's mouth. Sabine moaned as her nipples brushed against Maketh's, and a familiar warmth emerged in her nether-regions.
They pulled apart, and Maketh could see genuine affection in the girl's eyes. Her multicolored hair was plastered to her forehead, the water was lapping gently at her perky pink nipples, the sunlight was glistening off of the droplets on her tanned skin and she looked absolutely beautiful.
Her reverie was shaken by Sabine splashing a handful of water in her face.
"What the...? Why, you little.." Maketh said, a playful grin creeping across her features. She cupped her hands together just at the surface and squeezed them together, causing a narrow jet of water to splash right into Sabine's forehead.
"Oh, you're gonna get it for that one!" Sabine exclaimed. For the next half-hour, the two swam around the pond, splashing and laughing like two children without a care in the world.
It was the happiest either had been in a long time.
Tired and out of breath, they made their way back to shore and lay on their backs in the ankle-high grass. Maketh's hand snaked out and grasped Sabine's, neither saying a word as they let the afternoon sun and the gentle breeze dry them. Sabine finally broke the silence.
"I can't remember when I had so much fun. And I don't think it was so much the swimming as the company."
Maketh smiled. "I know. I admit, the last few days I grew worried waiting for your call. Afraid I'd made a mistake, that you'd take the comlink to the authorities and have me arrested. But there was no mistake, and I never should have doubted you. This whole thing just feels so....right."
Smirking, Sabine quickly flipped over on top of Maketh. She gripped the older woman's wrists, holding them above her head, and pinned her legs down with her own. "You were right about one thing, though; you are going to be punished." Taking on an authoritative tone of voice, she said, "Minister Maketh Tua of Lothal, I hereby place you under arrest. The charges are abuse of government resources," she kissed Maketh's forehead, "kidnapping," kissed her right cheek, "contributing to the delinquency of a minor", then her left cheek, "and grand larceny." Her last kiss went to the blonde's lips. "How do you plead?"
"Hey, wait - I never stole anything!"
"I beg to differ." Sabine's eyes sparkled. "I suspect...you may have stolen my heart."
"Only because mine was stolen by a very, very beautiful girl. So, I am forced to plead 'not guilty' on all charges."
"Then we'll need to do an in-depth investigation to prove your innocence or guilt."
"I'll challenge your investigation and do some probing of my own."
Sabine leaned in and whispered, "I'm looking forward to it." She pushed her knee between Maketh's legs and pried them apart. She lowered her body to the other woman's until every possible inch of their skin was touching. Sabine kissed her way down Maketh's jawline to her neck, leaving feather-light kisses on the tender flesh, then one light nip with her front teeth.
Maketh jerked, her back arching as a mixture of pain and pleasure jolted through her system. "D-do that again..." Sabine obeyed, this time biting harder and leaving her teeth clamped onto her lover's neck for several seconds. Maketh cried out and locked her legs around Sabine's waist, her hips jerking and entire body spasming.
Sabine was surprised. "Was that...? Did you just....?"
Maketh blushed. "I...I guess I did....I suppose I've got a bit of the masochist in me. The things you learn at times like this...."
"Well, I think it's high time you returned the favor. Don't you agree?" Maketh's only answer was to lick Sabine's neck, making the girl shudder.
Maketh pulled her hands free from Sabine's grasp and snaked them down the girl's body. One hand stayed on the tiny, pert breasts, massaging them and playing with the nipples while the other trailed down Sabine's belly, the fingernails lightly scraping the flesh and giving the girl goosebumps. Finally, taking far too long for Sabine's liking, the wandering hand found its way to her groin.
Reaching up to kiss her lover, Maketh began playing gently with the skin between Sabine's legs and the center of her desire, dancing around the outer lips but never quite touching them.
"Maketh....you're driving me crazy..."
"That's the idea." She continued her teasing for a full three minutes, until Sabine was absolutely dripping and panting with desire, moving ever closer with each pass of her fingers, before placing them directly on her mound and pulling it open. Angling her thumb in, she pressed down on the girl's hyper-sensitive clitoris. Sabine shrieked, but Maketh didn't stop. She worked the little nub up and down, back and forth, clockwise and counter-clockwise. Sabine kept gasping in pleasure, her hips rocking of their own accord and adding to the pressure, and thus the pleasure. "D-deeper.....I want you...in....inside..."
"I don't think so...not just yet. I want to wait on that. You'll thank me later." Figuring she had tortured the girl long enough, she shifted her grip, pinched the nub between thumb and forefinger and twisted.
Sabine's eyes rolled back into her head, her legs locked around Maketh's hand and her mouth opened wide in a silent scream. The older woman continued her ministrations, dragging out the girl's orgasm for as long as she could, and all her lover could do was hang on and ride it out.
When it finally subsided, Sabine slumped down on top of Maketh, trying hard to catch her breath and sweat pouring from her body. "That...that was incredible...but I want more...."
"So do I, dear. And I have a wonderful idea." She parted her legs and pushed Sabine's apart, then twisted her body so she was laying on her side. She pulled Sabine in closer, until their shaven mounds were touching. A jolt of pleasure went through both women and they gasped simultaneously. Getting the idea, Sabine began rocking her hips, gently at first. Then she found her rhythm and slowly increased the speed and force of her thrusts. Each time her clit bumped against Maketh's, her muscles tightened of their own accord. This is....nothing can compare to this.... she thought, her mind barely able to function through the euphoric haze she was in. Ironically, it was much like the blissful rush she got from the glitterstim, but it felt so much more substantial than anything the chemical could have done for her.
The arousal of the women, coupled with their unrestrained emotions, meant that they could not last long in such a position, and so it was that Sabine's thrusting became much more erratic as she felt her pleasure building up once more. "Maketh...I'm about to...."
"I know, love; so am I. Don't hold back. Just....just let it happen..."
And so she did. If asked later, the servants would swear that they heard the climax of the two lovers despite the distance between them. But at that moment, Maketh Tua and Sabine Wren did not care in the slightest who heard them. They had found one another, the most unlikely of lovers in the most unlikely of positions, and they were content.
It was fated not to last.

Ezra Bridger sat on the roof of an abandoned building a couple of kilometers away from the mansion. It was old and made of duracrete slabs, probably once used to store farming tools from before the capitol was built. His eyes were closed and his face contorted with anger. He had seen the speeder pull into the gate, so he knew Sabine was inside the compound. Focusing on the Force, he found her. It was easy enough to locate her, being the only familiar aura within the place, but he couldn't get much more than that. He could sense when she moved, and that she was with another. Occasionally, he would get a spike of emotion. Nervousness. Joy. Fear. Pleasure. For the most part, they came in short bursts and he could not get anything concrete.
Then he had seen a face.
It was merely a flash, but it was all he needed. Clearly he had been seeing through Sabine's eyes, and the person - the woman - writhing in pleasure beneath her was familiar to him, as well. After all, everyone on Lothal knew the face of their beloved Imperial Minister Maketh Tua. And Ezra was many things, but he was not an idiot. He knew exactly what they were doing, and for more reasons than even he knew, it angered him.
His hands gripped the edge of the shed as his anger mounted and he felt a surge of energy from the Force. So...this is it. Sneaking out, lying to us, keeping us away....all for this. I hope you enjoyed your little 'date', Sabine, because it's the last one you're ever going to have. Ezra opened his eyes and dropped down into the saddle of his rented speeder bike, gunning the engine and racing back to town as he could.
On the roof where he had been sitting, two blackened, scorched depressions marred the duracrete. They were the exact shape and depth of Ezra's hands, and tiny sparks of electricity jumped around in them briefly before subsiding.

Well, I hope you have been thoroughly entertained so far. The story is just heating up, and next time we'll see the fallout of Sabine's relationship once her shipmates find out. If you're enjoying this so far, please leave a review. It's the only way I know if I'm doing a good job or not.
