Mindbender seems to be under the hypnosis of the Brothers of Light yet again..or is he?
Dr. Brian Bender, AKA "Mindbender" had assumed it had started out as therapy when his mast...no new bosses.. (confusion, shakes head) started wanting to spend time with him outside of work. They were all good now, good friends, though he often sought reassurance of the twins' forgiveness. The horrible things he had once done to them seemed like a kind of madness, and he no longer felt resentment at the feelings he had for them. He'd see them staring at him, appraising him from across the room, and he'd grin at them and feel the sudden urge to say, "We're still good, right, Boss men?"
Tomax and Xamot would nod in unison, sometimes approaching him so each could put a reassuring hand on his shoulders. He felt such love for them and such guilt over what he had done that if they ever told him they no longer forgave him, he was sure his heart would burst. This is why his whole life he had been hesitant to fully commit to loving another person because he was afraid of someone having this kind of hold on him. With the Brothers of Light, however, it had just happened and there was nothing he could do about it now. -Not that he wanted to. This bond he felt with the brothers was the most fantastic thing in the world, just great, so long as he felt they loved him back.
There was the one time when Mindbender had begged for their forgiveness and the twins had hesitated a moment too long. This had immediately sent him into full panic mode. His chest had tightened; he had found it difficult to breathe. Tomax had been the one to comfort him, taking him into his arms and saying, "Shhh..it will be okay..." while a cold and aloof Xamot had watched them with bright eyes across the room, perturbed to feel his hand moving in a soothing motion through their psychic connection, even though he wasn't keen on the idea. He would have held back a bit longer, watching the doctor suffer with a sanctimonious delight. Instead, he had humored his brother and rubbed on his own arm, as if to comfort himself.
Yes, it had all been a terrible misunderstanding. Now they were all back on track and ready to accomplish what they had meant to do together way back when Mindbender had first arrived at their temple and received promises of safety and respect. They had all made a connection with one another and felt the seeds of a grand scheme growing in their minds. Mindbender was back in this underground lab but this time in the service of the twins under better circumstances. The Bio-Viper project and all related work was still on. He was still trying to create a stable cure for his old boss who was now a Bio-Viper hybrid whom the twins recognized as a lesser god to them, although they were happy to yield to his authority at times.
Mindbender had also been called upon to make the twins 'third eyes' which were implants screwed directly into their skulls which allowed them to separate and still have their powers work. -Not that they ever spent much time apart. They still spent way too much time shooting each other adoring glances and sensually stroking each others hair, -heads pressed together- while their red, green and gold jewel encrusted third eyes glowed with the strength of their closeness.
Despite their eccentricities, Mindbender loved his new employers. They were larger than life like his old boss, yet they promised that no matter what he did, they would never try and kill him for failing them. When they would press up on either side of him, resting their hands on his arms, he felt slightly intimidated and overwhelmed but mostly loved and appreciated. They valued him as a person who was more than the sum of his abilities, and they told him so every day. It was what he needed..what he had always dreamed of.
Everyone who worked for the Brothers of Light or who was part of their extended family felt the same way. For being so majestic and awe-inspiring, they were very easy going and didn't mind when visitors bagged on the ornate green eyes above doorways, the strange symbol of their 'faith' (or power) stamped into furnishings, or especially the huge portraits of them looking like a cross between avenging angels and two lovebirds enjoying themselves on a romantic cruise.
Yes, Mindbender loved his new job and employers much better than the old, although he couldn't have complained too much. Before selling his soul to Cobra Industries, he had been hurting for funding. Even if he could have put a good face on his criminal activities and unethical research, the government mostly gave out grants for either climate change studies or frivilous social studies. One time he had been furious to find out they had spent 4.3 million dollars on a study to find out why lesbians were fat. There was never anything out there for an evil bioscientist. If the world was fair, the government would let him experiment on death row inmates. After all, nobody gave a crap about those scum of the earth. He could even give them a choice...either die uselessly or participate in the glory of science and become more than they ever were.
Anyway, just when he was resigned to a life practicing dentistry, Cobra Industries had not only recognized his genius but they had thrown unlimited funding at him and let him have free reign in his underground labs. The job quickly became a nightmare though. To protect their precious corporate image, Cobra Industries made sure all the blame for his monstrous creations fell solely upon him, even if other employees let them loose on the public and used them in harmful ways. He became a hunted fugitive who had many close calls with the authorities. Many coworkers seemed not to like him and tried to do him harm, but since his work was so valuable, he was secure in the knowledge he had allies around to keep him safe.
That is..until he got on the Big CC's bad side. They started out good. The Big Boss considered him 'part of the Cobra Family' and had constant praise for him. "Dr. Bender does his job well. Dr. Bender knows how to keep his mouth shut about company secrets, etc." Not that he would admit it but Mindbender had needed those words of praise. He had thrived on them. They helped him choke down his fear through close calls and many times witnessing his boss or the Baroness commit atrocities in front of him. He might sit at his desk pretending to work with an air of bored impassivity while someone was murdered right in front of him. After that, they owned him. He could never just quit and walk away. That would have led to his erasure in a vat or something. They might not even have wanted to do it, as they valued his work, but they might have felt they had to after all he had done and seen.
Then one day Mindbender's worst fears came true. The Cobra Commander had threatened his life unless he was able to accomplish the impossible. By then, the doc had something on him and was able to put the screws to him, but this made CC flip out and give him a beating. It hadn't been so bad as to make him miss work the next day, but morale definitely went down after that. He started feeling the isolation of his work, and words of praise weren't doing it for him.
After explaining all this to the twins, he could tell they didn't fully believe he was the victim here. This hurt his feelings. He so much wanted the twins to like him, and he toned down his usual arrogance and spoke to them in a soft, pleading voice as he weaved a saw about how he only hurt them out of a desperate need to intimidate his colleagues and escape the stress of their lofty expectations. He could tell the Brothers of Light struggled with the moral gray area of his work. This made him smirk in amusement. For sure they didn't like the idea he had restrained and used them, but they were open to the idea of others suffering, just so long as they deserved punishment. -Too bad they weren't the ones handing out grants for the federal government. He could have made them come around about experimenting on convicts.
On this evening, the Brothers of Light had invited Mindbender to their penthouse where they had fed him and conversed with him about mostly work and future ventures. He had been in such a state of bliss he hardly could remember what was even going on, although he had a sense that much time had passed. It was a thrill they would give him so much of their time. He didn't care what they did, just so long as he got to enjoy their company. Suddenly, Xamot went cold and started making light of him. "It's difficult to believe such a runt as you once held us captive," he chuckled.
Mindbender frowned at the insult, the expelled a breath hard as Xamot abruptly pulled him back onto his lap. The doc squirmed awkwardly as his aggressor slid one hand slowly across his inner thigh and had the other arm wrapped across his chest to hold him. "Relax.." he hissed into his ear, "This is about to be the best night you've ever had."
Mindbender wasn't sure if it was a statement or an order, but he turned to jelly in his captor's arms. Xamot had to hold him tighter as his head head fell back and his whole body went flaccid. Tomax ran his fingers through his artfully tousled hair and lifted his chin to jab a tongue in his mouth. Mindbender flushed and went catatonic with pleasure when Tomax caught his tongue between his teeth and sucked it numb. He moaned deep in this throat and went hard as a rock in seconds. When Tomax released him, Xamot kissed him more gently while Tomax started working his clothes off, first his lab coat, next his oversized rubber boots that put an inch on his height, then the rest.
Soon the brothers loomed over a naked and vulnerable Mindbender who stared up at them in quiet awe. Since he was plugged into their psychic connection, he could momentarily see himself through their eyes as they saw him. He was a well made man, but fair skinned and finely boned, and devoid of his usual attitude, his natural state was that of vulnerability and neediness. Irritation tickled the back of his dazzled and feverish mind as he became sufficiently aware of the things he hated about himself. He looked like someone who existed to be used, and of course that would endear him to those two. Still, he loved them and was desperate to be loved back. He lied in helpless thrall of their terrible divine beauty..their predatory glances, the power that shone and sparkled around their foreheads, the supernatural gleaming of their eyes..
Together the twins kissed Mindbender and sent shivers through his belly with their caresses. Tomax withdrew leaving a lovely, unblemished Xamot to stare coldly down upon him. "Do not fear," he commanded in a frosty, oddly-toned voice, "You will feel pleasure without pain."
Xamot roughly pushed Mindbender's knees up making him squeeze his eyes shut and grasp the fabric beneath himself to hold on and prepare himself for whatever was to come, only the impact was warm and soothing like an enema. After that, he fought to breath as rapture over took him so quickly that everything about the world disappeared, and he went beyond imagining why. A warm feeling entered his mouth, and he became caught up in an orgasm that went on and on. It took his brain a long time to register when it was over. Afterward, he lied in darkness and silence and tried to make sense of it for some odd reason. Maybe he had been ordered to feel good so chemicals had rushed his system, and nerves had fired in all the right places. Maybe Tomax had kissed him while he was out of his mind for the sole benefit of his brother. Was that what he wanted? Was that what he'd fantasize about? Why?!
Mindbender opened his eyes to a room that was strangely still and silent. The twins stood motionless and fully-clothed on the other side of the room. They grinned vaguely at him but stared with alert, bright eyes. It didn't make sense, like someone had hit a reset button. What am I DOING?! he thought. He wasn't even queer.
"Oh no, not again.."
It was that feeling of deja vu, as if the twins had been screwing him over and over to infinity, and he was just now realizing it. He tried to rise. Tomax quickly pinned him back down and stared upon him with cruel amusement. Terror built inside of Mindbender's chest as he stared upon that harsh, scared face. What if he had a desire to punish him for his past misdeeds? He struggled fiercely. "Calm yourself, Brother Mindbender.." Tomax said in his deep, soothing voice, "We won't hurt you.."
"Really...?!" Mindbender replied hopefully, his lips turning up into a pathetic, dazed smile. He didn't really believe them. Sure enough, the second time did hurt, and the doctor struggled against the pain. After the brothers quickly threw their robes off, Tomax had pulled him bodily onto his lap and penetrated him awkwardly. Xamot had pressed on him from behind and stared at his brother over his shoulder. Caught in Tomax's motion and Xamot's caresses, his grimaces and cries of pain eventually softened to sighs of pleasure. This time, he was with it enough to take in the wonderful, horrible image of the twins coming to pleasure along with him. They even kissed each other over his shoulder. Again, he could see himself as they saw him. He looked like he was dying, as if the twins were crushing the life out of him, while tears streamed down his face, and he fought for his last anguished breaths.
Time seemed to freeze, and Mindbender lied sandwiched in the twins' embrace. Xamot spoke words of endearment that faded in and out of his fuzzy thoughts, while Tomax rubbed his fingers up and down his back. He wanted to tell them how grateful he was for their company, how much he loved them, but his normally lightning quick mind felt dull and heavy. Through the brain fog, he finally managed to pull his lips back in a halfway adoring smile and say, "Xamot...Tomax...heyy..."
Mindbender heard them laughing wickedly. He felt a far away feeling of rage...of wrongness. His hands balled into fists. One of them started rubbing the back of his right hand until he relaxed again, and they whispered...
***
Mindbender awoke to the sound of loud static. His clock radio was going off. He felt an odd sensation on the back of his right hand, as if the cells were scrambling. He rubbed on it; the feeling quickly passed. The clock radio wasn't set to any particular station. It's not like he ever listened to it anyway. He was used to waking up 15-20 minutes early and shutting it off before it had a chance to go off. This morning was one of those odd days when the alarm woke him up from one crazy dream. He leaned over to shut off the alarm, then fell back into bed. It was gross. He was sweaty and lying in a miasma of funk and bodily fluids. He wondered if he might have wet himself there was so much.
All while showering and making his morning coffee, the dream feeling stayed with Mindbender. Different parts kept popping into his awareness, and he kept shaking his head and saying, "What......what..godammit.." It was awful. There was no way he could even pinpoint the worst part. It's as if someone had compiled the worst of humiliations into one solid nightmare. Then he had to wake up and find out that the one good thing about it wasn't true. He was still screwed. His life was over unless he was able to find a way to make his leprous looking boss immortal through the Bio-Viper project. The rotten bastard probably even penciled his fate into his will by now, like, "Be sure to feed that asshole Mindbender to my giant snake within five minutes of my passing."
Mindbender harbored no delusions there might be even one of his wonderful coworkers who would refuse to gleefully carry out the Cobra Commanders last wishes. Oh well, if worst came to worst, he could always take his chances with the MASS Device. Chances are he'd either be killed instantly or taken to a place where nobody would ever find him. Who knew? He switched on the internet and decided to look up the Brothers of Light. He had been doing this routinely since the twins' escape, yet there was surprisingly little out there, not even testimonies from their other escaped disciples. Maybe one had to know their real names to hit a gold mine.
Mindbender wondered if he'd ever see the twins again. What would he say to them though? After the things he did, it's not like he could approach them like a starry eyed fanboy and ask, "I dream of you..do you dream of me?" This latest wasn't the first time he dreamed of them. He'd had several. A few weeks ago, he had a horrible nightmare where the brothers had the heads and wings of golden eagles, and they were trying to kill him. He leaped up into the sky, then realized they could fly too, so he had turned around to zap one of them with his cattle prod and found he couldn't. If he hit one, both would fall, and they'd die. He didn't want to kill them. Both approached to tear him to pieces, but he awoke terrified and on the verge of tears before that happened.
The doctor reasoned it was his subconscious making sense of what had happened the moment the brothers had escaped his custody. He should have killed them then. He would have had a few seconds to act before they were able to mesmerize everybody in the room, but again, he couldn't bear to end their lives, and he could even have gotten himself taken out that day. Since it had all turned out okay, he wasn't a bit sorry.
"Godammit...what is WRONG with me?!" he exclaimed, shaking his head, "Oh well, good luck to them."
