Azula had a very strange idea of what constituted a good ‘Welcome Back’ gift.
On the other hand, maybe she had just based it off of the reactions of the average teenage male.
Either way, it was kind of scary that she had researched his and Uncle’s actions while in Ba Sing Se to this extent.
Zuko had told his uncle that his date with Jin had been ‘…nice’, but that had only been partly truthful. It had been an awkward disaster from start to finish, with nothing to talk about without sounding forced, stilted conversation as they walked on eggshells, and pure embarrassment on Zuko’s part. The only thing nice about it was that a girl found him attractive enough to ask him out, despite the scar that had most people giving him a wide berth.
Zuko wasn’t sure that he wanted to know how Azula found out enough about the date for him to walk into his room and see Jin sitting on his bed. Seeing him, she jumped up. “Lee! Did they kidnap you, too? Are you all right?”
Behind him, Azula laughed. “Lee? No, little girl, this is Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation. You’re a gift to help him relax after we conquered Ba Sing Se. Since your family is enjoying the Dai Li’s hospitality until you’re done, I’m sure you’ll be able to help him muddle through… relaxing.”
Jin looked caught between fear and betrayal, and Zuko glared after his sister as she left. Well, at least she wasn’t going to stand nearby and offer ‘pointers’ that were really taunts, like she had whenever they had been stuck training together as children. Zuko didn’t really want to think about the implications if his little sister had considered herself qualified to stay and give advice on having sex with someone. He pitied her hypothetical partner.

Dealing with the opposite gender in a romantic sense was the one area where Azula failed even worse than Zuko. Zuko was his father’s son inasmuch as girls found him physically attractive, some even thinking that the scar made him look ruggedly handsome. As long as Zuko didn’t actually engage in conversation or long periods of actual interaction, he could spend all night being stalked. Azula inevitably managed to say something that would make boys avoid her within fifteen seconds of the Fire Princess opening her mouth. Zuko had spent one memorable evening counting how long it took before the unfortunate young man all but ran away. Even the ever-optimistic Ty Lee had given Azula a pep-talk and some advice, watched the results over a few hours, and given up.

Despite his sister’s jibes, Zuko wasn’t inexperienced with the opposite sex. For his fourteenth birthday, his well-meaning crew had kidnapped him and taken him to the Red Lantern district while on shore-leave. Zuko had spent the night being very thoroughly educated. His uncle had not been pleased, but it had been too late to do anything about it. Not to mention the little healer shortly after he had been declared not only banished, but also a traitor.
Even so, the experience resulted in Zuko deciding that he preferred to have some amount of meaningful connection to his partner. Song had been a distraction from his newly banished status, a elease after a sexual dry-spell, but they had talked, and she had healed Uncle.

Honestly, he would have preferred the gentle, fiery Water Tribe girl, but she would probably find a way to castrate him with her bare hands if he tried, especially after he sided with his sister against her and the Avatar. Tying her to a tree during the Pirate debacle had been all kinds of a bad idea, and fuelled his night time fantasies for a month. She probably wouldn’t have appreciated his offer of being enemies with benefits, though.
Jin was still frozen in shock. Zuko was not good at reassuring people, but he did at least try. “It’s all right, Jin. I’m not going to try to hurt you.”
Jin’s head snapped up, her eyes blazing. “All right? You lied to me, you heartless bastard! You knew I liked you and you used it to manipulate me so I wouldn’t find out your identity! You’re the Prince of the Fire Nation, and everyone knows that the Fire Nation is evil!”
Argh, was anyone going to get past hating him because he was Fire Nation, especially when they had thought Zuko a perfectly nice person before that? If Jin was so convinced that there could be nothing good about him, even though she’d instigated nearly everything on their ‘date’, then he would show her ‘heartless, evil and manipulative’!
Zuko had used tiny and precise fireballs to light the lamps on the fountain that Jin loved so much, and he used the same small, tightly controlled flame to burn through her dress and lower wrappings. Jin shrieked as her clothing fell away, trying to bolt to the other side of the room. Zuko let her, taking to opportunity to remove his own clothing. He was between Jin and the doorway, and the room had no other exits.
Jin realized this, too, her eyes growing wide and fearful as he advanced upon her. She was backed into a corner, with no way to dodge when he grabbed her, faster than a lizard-cobra, yanking her close. She was about to shriek again, when his lips came down upon hers.
The first time they kissed, in the lantern light on their date, had been soft and gentle, a surprise, and over in a few seconds. This time, it was hard, possessive, and a sign of domination. It felt as though Zuko was trying to devour her. “Please me, and your family goes free.”
Jin swallowed the lump in her throat, trying not to let her voice shake as his lips moved to her neck, starting just under her ear and working his way down. “A-and if I don’t? I have no idea what… I-I’ve never done anything like this before.”
Zuko nipped her collar, letting her go as he offered a casual shrug, trying to give the impression of not caring. “Then they stay in the Dai Li’s more unpleasant custody until you improve.”
Jin really didn’t like the sound of that. People who were taken into Dai Li custody either never returned, or came back changed almost beyond recognition. She couldn’t let that happen to her family, even if it meant giving herself to the Fire Prince.
She hadn’t done anything before, but her older brother had brought a girlfriend or two home, and with only two bedrooms in their small apartment, it was hard not to notice a few things. She moved closer, pressing her body against his taller one, wrapping a small hand around him and giving it a tentative stroke.
Zuko’s hips bucked against her. “I thought you just said you didn’t know what you were doing.” He pushed her down onto her knees on the silk sheets before Jin could make an unwise retort, stroking her breast as he sat on the bed again. “Open your mouth.”
Biting back a remark that Jin and her family would almost certainly regret, she obeyed, trying to remember what she had picked up by observation. It wasn’t much, so she had to go by instinct. Somehow, he doubted that his sister would leave him in charge of anything important, which would mean long periods of sitting around with nothing to do except occasionally spar, and even Zuko’s near legendary drive to achieve his goals (Three years of searching for the Avatar, long past when most others would have simply given up) wouldn’t let him keep that up forever.
For all that he had sided with her, Zuko didn’t trust his sister, and she had never been one for leisurely activities. Even before he had been banished, he barely knew Mai and Ty Lee, and he wasn’t about to fraternize with the Dai Li. “Your family will go free, but you will stay and keep me company until Azula and I depart. Then you can return to them.”
It was not what Jin had hoped for, but at least her family was safe. She bowed her head in reluctant submission, bracing herself for a long night, and many more to come.
