Inside the jungle was dark and quiet. There was the sound of a river flowing, and some small animals rustling around in the trees. A yellow and red snake was in the tree and it watched with glittering green eyes as another lion walked through the trees. He was a lovely golden lion with a shaggy mane and nice brown eyes. This lion was named Harry and he had left his home and parents for a first time because it was time to find a mate for him. He had heard of some lions living around here but then he stumbled into the forest and got lost because he’d never been here before and didn’t know his way around. He tried to ask the flamingos but they ran away! They must have bin scared of him, he thought laughing to himself because he was a nice lion who didn’t eat people. He just wanted directions to where to go. So he was just walking around waiting to see someone to ask for directions to meet lions. The suddenly, he heard a snarl!

A big lion suddenly pounced on him and tried to bite him and the snake laughed because it was evil. Snakes around here were often evil because they were friends with the hyenas who lived near there and used to not like the lions except scar. This snake had once been attacked by a lionn so he really hated lions and so he laughed and went away to tell the hyena leader, Dikker, that King Simba had attacked another lion in the woods. And maybe he could be hurt, and then the hyenas could attack the lions and win the war that they were going to have.

Harry was so surprised that another lion would jump on him and didn’t fight back. King Simba looked at him curiously when he saw that he was not attacking him back and said “why aren’t you attacking me? I am the king of the jungle and you are a stranger.” Harry smiled at him because he had heard about King Simba and how he was a fair and good lion and knew he was the king of the lions he wanted to meet. “I am Harry, and I am a lion from Hanging Rock and I am here to marry your daughter who is the princess because I am a prince of other lions.”

King Simba was surprised and said to Simba “how are those lions? My cousin is living there and she said it is a good Pride, and that there is always lots to eat. And your dad the king is very good ruler.” He noticed then that Harry was a very strong and lovely lion who glistened in the sun. Harry shook his mane out of his face becaue it was in his eyes and said “yes it is a good pride. Your cousin Leona said you had a pretty daughter and i want a mate.”

King Simba felt his heart flutter when Harry Lion spoke, because he would miss his daughter he thought but also because he liked Harrys voice. His accent was way different to everyone else at Pride Rock and sounded really nice. “Come and meet my wife the Queen and my daughter and then we can have dinner. You can stay for a while because its the summer and so theres nowhere for you to go.”

“thanks, i wil.”said harry Lion.

Simba took Harry back to Pride Rock where they could meet his family and introduace Harry to his daughter. Now that they were going to be going out, Harry was very excited to meet Louise. He had heard that she was very beautiful and could not wait to see her. Since he was old enough to have a mate, Harry had always hoped he would find a beautiful lioness to have as his wife and be the queen of the lions that he would lead. But Harry had not found any lioness yet that he thought he liked because he was really very fussy and never seemed to like them.

“This is Harry, he will stay wioth us for a while” said Simba to his family when they got back. They other lions were very interested and friendly and asked him lots of questions because many had family living in Hanging Rock and wanted to know how they were. “Yes, I will answer all your questions later” Laughed Harry because he was tired after his long journey and being lost in the jungle. So he went to sleep for a while and thought about everything.

Simba talked to his wife Nala then because she wanted to know why Harry was there. She looked very sad when Simba told her that he wanted to marry their daughter because she would miss her if she went away but was glad ttoo because it was time for Louise to get married anyway.

She and Simba decided to go hunting together to catch dinner then for there guest.

When Harry woke up, there was a beautiful lioness standing l;ooking at him. It was louise and she was smiling at him because she had guessed why he was there. They looked at each other for a while then Harry said, “will we go for a walk?” Louise nodded and they walked off.

When they got to the lake where they stopped walking, they sat down and talked for a while. Louise laughed prettily at all Harry s jokes and was very pleased with him. He was a handsome lion she thought and he was very clever and nice. Harry thought Louise was nice too and so he was happy for a while. After they were talking for a while, she asked him a serious question. “Do you want to get married to me? Is that why your here?” “yes” he said, and blushed because she had quessed.

“Then do you love me? I will only marry someone who loves me” said Louise looking at him. When he didn’t answer she smiled at him and nuzzled his face. She decided that he would soon love her if they saw each other every day.

Harry stayed still when she nuzzled him, because he was very surprised. He didn’t know how to react to this. He hoped he would also fall in love with Louise, but for now he wasn’t sure at all. Even though she seemed nice and pretty he did not feel in love at all. But then Harry had never been in love with a girl at all so he didn’t knhow. After this, they went home and Harry decided to just wait and see what happened.
