Disclaimer: I do not own Invader Zim, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
Notes: Yes, another chapter. I almost forgot I wrote Chapter 2 this morning 8D
I don't know why, but I hate the first chapter. I tried my very best to keep Tak in character. Hopefully I did decent.
If you guys feel I need to change her a bit, then tell me. More angry, or less angry?
I want to get her character down.
About last chapter, it was mostly in Tak's P.O.V. But this story will not be first person. It will be third person. I plan on having no one else have their POV told.
And for you ZADR-lovers, don't worry. Zim WILL be in this story, and there will be goodness.. oh yes.
~*Chapter 2*~
Tak gasped and she grabbed her arm, hissing in pain through her teeth. It's a miracle her arm is still connected to her body. Ever since she was caught by the Earth authorities, she has been nothing to them but a test subject. What made the humans think that they can do whatever the hell they wanted to her, and not give have a shit about her pain and suffering? The humans decided to exam the skeletal structure of an Irken. The best possible way to exam her bones was to cut her flesh open to exam it. Tak could live through that, she was Irken after all, she healed quickly. The next day her cut would be heal together with a patch of new skin. What really terrified her was when they decided to exam her antennae- the most precious body part to the Irk. She would scream and kick on the table that she was pinned down on, in attempt for the humans to go nowhere near her antennae. Though, they didn't bother much with it. As long as she keeps her life, and her antennae, she was determind to find her way to escape the cruel humans.
She wanted to warn the humans about the fate of the Irken species, but she soon let that thought pass. If she were to ever escape, she wanted them to be destroyed. Otherwise, she would destory them herself. Oh yes, the old memories began to click in. It angered her that she had such a wonderful demise for the planet. She planned it carefully, trying to insure she made of use of to the planet to her Tallest, and to watch Zim suffer at the same time. Oooh it was wonderful.
Now, she was safe in her room, but it felt like a prison hole. The walls around her were hard steel, near impossible to dent. The door to her 'cell' was also metal, and the only way to get in was through the other side, Tak had no way of escaping when she was kept in the room. She would bash her fists into the metal walls, and scream. But after several days, she didn't even bother, no human cared about what she wanted, or had to say. She would just sit on her bed at the far corner, and rest for the next day of painful tests. It wasn't fair! She shouldn't be in this horrible mess! She did nothing to the humans- besides try and fail at taking over their planet.
Tak began to stroke her antennae, thankful that she still had them. "No human filth is touching them. And if they do, I will fucking throttle their throats!" She grabbed her pillow, and imagined it as that orange-haired girl, whom she sooner figuered out was named Stacy. She began to growl, and squeeze the pillow, acting like it was Stacy's neck. Oooh yes, how she hated Stacy, and her mocking smile. She hated her hair, she hated her voice, she everything about her, and every other human!
Tak huffed and slammed her forhead againts her pillow. She didn't want this. What if the Domists come? She couldn't think about it, she didn't want to think about it. So, she just layed there, staring at the wall. After hours of just staring, she heard someone come in, and close the door behind them. Tak huffed and closed her eyes. " What do you want this time? Haven't I been through enough today? Or have you just come to taunt me?"
Dib sighed. "No Tak, Im not here to cause you trouble. I just want to see you and talk to you. I never got the chance to really speak with you since you've been-"
"-Trapped on a metal table being cut up?!"
"Erm, yeah.."
Tak sighed. She turned herself around to face the human. She stood up off the bed and began to walk to him slowely with a curious tint in her purple eyes. "So, Dib. I have noticed one thing about you since I got here. Of all the people here trying to to torture me, you're the only one who has yet to take activity in the research. You're the only one here who has yet to really cut me up. I actually find it surprising, maybe you're not Dib after all. He was a paranormal freak, and would give anything to cut open an Irken."
It was true, Dib was the only human here who hadn't taken any activity in the research. He didn't take any part of it at all, as if he was ignoring it.
"There's a reason for that Tak." He smiled and stepped towards her slowely. He sent her a smirk, trying to show he has delt with her in the past, and he is willing to deal with her now.
"After Zim left Earth many years ago, I began to think about what would have happened if I did capture him. Of course, I would run tests on him, and cut out his organs. After thinking for so many months, I realize that I was cruel for thinking it. I wouldn't be able to pull it off. But now, I see an Irken did fall into that fate- you. Honestly, I don't approve of them keeping you here. I refuse to take part of any of this."
Tak looked at him confused. After several moments of her taking in all he has said, she spoke. "If you think this is cruel, let me go!"She hissed. She was so eager to get out of this death trap, and finally get back on track in life.
Dib only shook his head."No, sorry. I'm keeping you here." Of course he wouldn't let her go. He was a human, after all. "Although I think it's cruel to test on you, I'm making sure you're not escaping me. You're not escaping us."
Tak raised an non-existant eyebrow. She then narrowed her violet eyes with anger. "Who is, us, Dib? Your freaky paranormal friends?" Now she was just mocking him. "Are we located in your secret testing quarters?!"
The human only stared her down for a moment. The Irken was obviously getting frustrated. "Us, as in me and my father's scientist workers. My father if the one in charge of what happens to you. He's running this whole thing. And for the location, I don't see why it matters, Tak. You're here, and staying."
Dib looked up at Tak, who had a strange look in her eye. Unreadable. She was either trying to hide her anger to seem tough like always, or she didn't know what to say.
Tak finally sighed. Of course the human didn't tell her answers to every question. "Fine Dib, don't tell me!" She snapped, snarling her teeth. She didn't want to have to argue with him to get what she wanted.
She huffed and crossed her arms in frustration. "Dib, just tell me..." She looked up him, trying to find some pity his pupils. None. The human really had no pity for her. " Just tell me how you guys found me. Did I send of an alarm when I entered his base or something?"
Dib rolled his eyes in the back of his to think: Should he really spend his time explaining it to her? Perhaps she wouldn't care. "You really want to know? It's not a simple answer. It somewhat has a story behind it to make sense."
The female looked up at him, she was trying her best not to move so much. She was so very sore from painful tests they've been running on her for the past 2 weeks. "Hm, a story, eh? I don't know, I hope the story isn't long. I don't want to have to listen to you talk for too long." She was just being a jerk to him now, only for her amusement.
The human just sent a fake chuckle, trying his best not to have the Irk get to him. What do you know, she's still a cold hearted bitch.
"Anyway Tak, do you want me to explain it to you? If you're not willing to listen, then I won't let you waste my time."
That almost hit a nerve on the Irk. Tak sighed, and squeezed the skin between her violet eyes. "Fine..I have nothing better to do."
Dib nodded, and sat down on her bed, he just sick of standing. "We were able to catch you because of my past life" Tak looked at Dib strangly.
"Well, in my early life, I planted camera's in Zim's base to watch him and-"
"Stalker much, Dib?" Tak rolled her eyes and looked at him once more, seeing if she got to him again. Oh boy, she was having a good time with it. "Whatever, continue."
Dib was taken back a little by Tak's comment, but let it slide. Oh yes, he was quite the stalker in his childhood. "Well, anyway, after Zim dissapeared for 2 months, I went to check up on him, and found him nowhere. A bunch of Zim's equipment was messing, but most importantly, his Voot Cruiser was gone. That's when I knew he had left Earth. At first I was delighted, but then after awhile, I kinda missed him. After a year or two, I had a full desire to see the alien again." Dib closed his eyes, and tried to think of how Zim looked like. He hadn't seen Zim in so long, he nearly forgot what he looked like. "I tried to use your ship Tak, to locate him. But your ship only registered that he was too far away to be correctly located."
Tak snarled. "Of course you have my ship! And Dib, how does this relate to me being captured?!"
"Im getting to that Tak, im just explaining!" He was getting impatient with the little female alien. Actually, she wasn't that small anymore. Last time on Earth, she seems about 3"2' or something around there. But now, she was at least 4"1'
"Since your ship didn't locate him, I figuered Zim may return to his base one day... So, I planted more cameras in his base, so if he ever came back, I would see.
Of course, he never did appear, so I decided to send the camera links to my dad's workers. At first, they called me insane, and said the base on the camera scene was fake." Dib eyebrows puller together in anger. They didnt even believe the alien base was real! Idiots. "But either way, they took the cameras. If Zim ever was to return, surely someone would see him."
The Irk huffed. "So, thats how I got caught!Your little cameras caught me straight on film as proof!"
Dib snickered, he loved it when something made Tak a little angry. "Yes. One of my father's workers noticed an odd figure on the camera, and called everyone over to see who it was. We began to rush down to the base to see what was caught on film. The only reason I came was because I though you'd be Zim, but.." His eyes feel into a saddened expression. Damn, he really did miss the crazy alien.
Tak stared at Dib for several seconds, then began to laugh. She then pointed her nearly broken finger at the human, and began to settle down with her laughing.
"Soo, Dibby misses the idiotic, homocidal space-boy, huh? Oooh that's amusing." She tilted her head back againts the wall and smiled. " He's most likely dead, stupid faggot. If most of the Irken race is dead, he's most surely dead as well!"
The thought of Zim being tortured dead, or taken over by a Domist just made her squeedily-spooch fill with such joy and happiness.
Dib looked at her with confusion. "Tak, what do you mean? Most Irkens are dead now?"
Tak lifted an invisable eyebrow, peering open only one eye. A grin stretched across her face. Oh yes, she had yet to tell him her tale.
