A/N- Hello readers, I liked to thank again reineSeele for her courteous hand, as her beta help was quite necessary. In addition, I liked to point out this chapter has a lot of mushy feelings involved…oh la la undying love! Anyways, I assure you I’ll try not to make it too emotional…which is hard for me…hehe…and keep it as entertaining as it should be. Finally, I hope you do enjoy this one, R&R.
Chapter Two-Our True Colours
Darla pulled back her dark hair as she sat on Skeletor’s immense bed. Her night gown was long and seductive, almost translucent, and its lavender colour brought out the light azure of her eyes. She decided to wear something loose this time; it was, in her opinion, much easier to slip in and out of.
I hate it when he makes me wait, she pouted angrily, crossing her arms over her chest. “Maybe Skeletor really has gotten bored of me……… NO! Impossible! He couldn’t have………could he?” Her expression changed quickly. “Well,” she said to herself, “it would make sense, since theses past few days he’s hated on me.” She ran her fingers over the soft sheets of the bed. “Okay, he always hates me, but now it’s more than usual.” Darla growled and bit her bottom lip. “Great, now I’m not in the mood anymore.” She got up off the bed and started walking towards the door. “How could I possibly bore anyone? Damn that Skeletor……… Well, there’s only one way to find out.” As she began to turn the doorknob, she realized that someone was opening it from the other side. Darla stepped back and Skeletor appeared in front of her.
“Were you heading somewhere, Darla?” Skeletor asked as he entered the room and shut the door behind him. Darla crossed her arms.
“No,” she said, “I was just going to look for you.”
“Oh really? For what?” Skeletor asked as he placed his havoc staff against the wall and removed the armor cuffs on his wrist and feet.
“I’m not in the mood anymore,” Darla said staring at her nails.
“I see, but before you were--”
“That was before, okay, now I’m not,” she interrupted him, her eyes growing with hate.
“And why is that?” Skeletor sat on his bed, staring Darla in the eyes; he knew when she was having one of her vain moments, those times when she couldn’t stand hearing the truth. Darla approached him and stared right into his eye sockets.
“Are you getting bored of me?” she asked, raising her head at a slow pace and crossing her arms, then arching that sensual hip of hers. Skeletor would’ve raised his brow if he could‘ve.
“And why do you ask?” he snickered under his false mystified tone. Stupid woman, do you not realize I don’t give a damn about you … Darla’s hidden teeth, sharp and piercing, peeked through her lips.
“Already?! Please, Skeletor, you can’t say that that other witch was more pleasing than me!” She spoke as if there was an unpleasant taste in her mouth.
“DON’T YOU DARE SPEAK OF HER!” Skeletor’s bark practically bit at Darla’s ear. She winced a little at his harshness, though she quickly regained herself.
“Why shouldn’t I?!” she yelled back. “Evil-Lyn, that bitch; you shouldn’t have killed her if you wanted her this much. Besides, my magic is far better than her’s ever was and this demon strength is much more advantageous.” Darla’s eyes slowly turned bloodshot red, a sign of her demonic heritage.
Skeletor swiftly rose from his bed, glaring strongly at the demon witch before him. “You speak of her as if you knew her……… Is there something you’re hiding from me Darla?”
Darla swallowed and began to take a step back with every movement the Overlord made. Now Darla was beginning to fear her master………a little. She cleared her throat and spoke up.
“I’m not hiding anything, I just heard of her magic and I’m not impressed is all.” She stared down at the floor, avoiding Skeletor‘s gaze; she knew that the lie was evident in her eyes.
Skeletor was aware of Darla’s deceitfulness and he wasn’t pleased. He circled her, hands behind his back as her behaviour became suspicious. He brought his face closer to Darla and hissed in her ear, “Alright then Darla, but remember this, don’t you ever dare speak her name in front of me again, or you’ll regret it. Now leave.”
Darla nodded quickly before grabbing her robe and leaving, quietly shutting the door behind her.
Skeletor’s eyes remained gazing at the door, after Darla had exited. “Damn demon is not telling me half of the knowledge she carries………” Skeletor paused for a second, as he played back all of Darla’s words in his head. “How could she have possibly known her………,” he said as his voice softened. “Evil-Lyn…”
Evil-Lyn. She was a strong sorceress, with magic that could have been called legendary. She was a great ally of the Master of Darkness, but if only she had been loyal. Maybe then Skeletor would have had a higher advantage against the Masters and He-man. If only…..
“Evil-Lyn,” he repeated again.
Her beauty and her passion were things that Darla could never comprehend. She had been his, though no more due to loathing and hatred.
If only………If only………
Skeletor snapped back to reality. “Foolishness, the witch is dead and gone, nothing will ever bring her back, and it stands as that!” He grabbed his Havoc Staff and shot a blast at the wall, releasing anger. “Dammit, nothing will ever bring her back…,” he said, slowly trudging back to his bed and laying down.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have disposed her so quickly………but then again, her treachery had too high of a price and she had to pay; it needed to be done.”
The thoughts were eating at him. Too many memories he had shared with her, both as Skeletor and as Keldor.
His eyes burned and grew fierce. “Damn that Darla, mentioning her name has brought back these wretched memories that need to be exiled out of my mind for good!” Memories have a way of stirring up the mind. He cleared his head.
“I shall deal with it later, but if tomorrow is successful then these damned memories will be all in the past.” He let out a dark chuckle at the thought. Tomorrow his chaos would commence. But even so, clearing his mind won’t erase the imprint of what he feels in his heart.

Meanwhile, back in her room, Darla threw a vicious fit.
“DAMN, DAMN, DAMN IT ALL!!!!!” she screamed as she threw papers and spell books off of her desk, smashing them into the walls and watching them scatter freely on the ground. “God I hate that bitch! How dare she cause trouble for me! Skeletor is no longer hers and yet she still seems to flutter about in his head! AHHH!” Her shrieking was becoming louder and louder by every thought that crossed her mind.
“Evil-Lyn………,” she muttered murderously. Her eyes quickly shifted to her crystal ball lay upon the floor, with all of the other things that she had thrown. Darla walked towards it and squatted down to kneel before the opaque orb. She stared intensely at it before waving her hands over it. A swirling image appeared. Once the image had become focused and clear, it revealed the appearance of a hooded face. Darla looked straight at the person. “You’re still managing to cause trouble, but I can cause even more,” Darla smirked. The person made to attempt to answer her, but was cut off by Darla. “Skeletor is mine and I’m going to make you suffer, by making him suffer.”
“I don’t care about Skeletor,” the voice replied back to her. Darla laughed evilly. “Oh really now, because he seems to be mourning you a lot………”
The cloaked figure’s head snapped up and Darla smiled. “Yes, he has. Of course, he didn’t admit it, you know how he is, but it’s there.” She pulled back her hair, leaning forward into the orb. “And I know how much it’s killing you inside to see me with him, how it pains you…even with your betrayal, you’re still jealous when you see your beloved Keldor with me. Aren’t I right………Lyn? Tell me I’m right.”
She did not answer.
“Hmph, you’re speechless. How typical. Hear me on this Evil-Lyn: I saved you from death, but you left me to die in the Demon Realm, knowing fully well I was there. You brought this upon yourself, and I’m going to have Skeletor and his power to make you suffer for what you did to me! You’ll never live this down, EVER!” With that, Darla got up on her feet and lifted her right hand above her head. She created a bright red orb of magic and blasted the crystal ball to pieces.
Darla started breathing heavily. “You’ll live to see your pain coming Lyn, damn you straight to hell!” She kicked the books on the floor out of her way, leaving nothing more to say.
