She opened the door, but peeked first to make sure he was asleep. But what she saw left her mind even more boggled. She looked on as she saw her little brother and it looked like he was pinning someone to the wall near his bed and it looked like he was in a heavy make-out session with that someone.
At first, she thought perhaps he and Sam had finally confessed to each other. But then she thought, ‘Why would Sam come over here at 2:00 in the morning? Then a thought struck her, unless, that isn’t Sam, but the only other person who’s here all the time is P-No, it can’t be. Can it? Is that the secret he’s been keeping from me?
Her questioned was soon answered, as she saw Danny back up from the wall, and turn so that she could see who the other was. When see saw who it was, her eyes looked like they were about to pop out, her hand, which was still on the knob, was gripping it tightly, like she was about to rip it out of it’s hinges, and her mouth hung open.
The other person was someone who had appeared only a few weeks ago, someone who Jazz was certain had existed the second Danny got his ghost powers. The other person was her brother’s ghost half, Phantom.
She distinctly remembered asking Phantom about Danny’s weird behavior. She realized that perhaps Danny wasn’t sure how she or his friends would react if they found out. So, Phantom was covering up for him.
Now it all made sense, Danny going up to his room and not coming down for hours, Phantom always avoiding her, not to mention the grudged up look they had whenever she went into his room. But she had to wonder, Had they already?
Once again, her questioned was answered when Danny pulled away from Phantom. She quickly ducked out of the room, but left the door open enough to see what was going on.
Danny looked into the ghost-boy’s glowing eyes. He put a hand on the back of his neck, and whisper some thing that only Phantom, and a snooping Jazz, could hear.
“I love you,” he said in a soft voice. Jazz gasped, and judging by Phantom’s face, this was the first time that they ever said that to each other. “Phantom, are you ok?” Phantom snapped back to reality and stared into Danny’s eyes. “Yea, I’m fine, I just-, did you really just say that?” he asked and Jazz saw some hope in his eyes. She just couldn’t help but smile at the scene she was seeing right now. “Yes, I did. I love you with all my heart, and yes I know what you’re probably thinking, ‘Why are you saying this now. We’ve been a couple for weeks now and now you decide to say it?’, well I was too afraid to. There was this little voice in my head saying, ‘What is he’s not as serious about this relationship as you are, what if he doesn’t feel the same way, what if-‘”. Danny was cut of by Phantom pressing his lips to Danny’s. Jazz started smiling even more, turning into a cheeky grin. “Danny, don’t ever think that ever again. I love you too, more than anything else in the entire world.” Jazz looked at Danny and saw his eyes shinning. She had never seen his eyes like that since he was just a little kid. She felt happy that Danny had found someone who would love him. She didn’t understand why he wanted to keep it a secret. But she was so happy that her little brother was in love. “Phantom, I’ve been thinking,” “That’s a miracle.” “Shut up! I’ve been thinking that maybe we should tell someone.” “Like who? If we tell Tucker, he’s probably gonna tease us about it non-stop.” “And if we tell Sam, who knows what will happen.”
Jazz suddenly felt very wrong. She shouldn’t be spying on them; she shouldn’t have even been thinking about spying in the first place. She was about to leave when she heard “How about Jazz?” She immediately went back to the door to listen again, stupid conscious. “We could tell her, I think she can keep a secret.” “Well, duh, she even kept my-I mean-our secret from us. I think we can trust her with this.” “Ok then. Tomorrow we’ll tell Jazz, oh boy.” “Yea, but until then...” And that was all Danny said before pouncing on Phantom, wrapping both his legs around Phantom’s waist and his arms around his neck. Jazz giggled at the shocked expression on his face as they fell onto the bed. As she closed the door she heard, “I love you, Danny.” “I love you, too, Phantom.”
Jazz sighed happily to her self as crawled into to her bed. The last thought in her head was, ‘Thank you for NOT telling me.’
