“Come on Jimmy! You shouldn’t be so upset over something like that!” Sheen said as he finished getting ready for the party.
“Yeah Jim, be thankful that we are your best friends and will always believe you.” Carl replied. Jimmy sighed at this and continued to set up for his all night movie madness.
“I know I know… Its just that, you would think after all we went through these last few years that she would believe me when I told her that.” Jimmy groan as he straightened up from the position on the floor. He had set up a makeshift movie theatre in the lab. His parents had gone away for the weekend on a small but much needed vacation. By some miracle, his parents got to the spot without any accidents, yet.
“Well, we better get going Carl. Libby is probably getting impatient waiting for us.” Sheen yelled over his shoulder as he headed out from the lab.
“Coming! Have fun Jimmy, don’t worry, everything will work out at the end.” Carl said as he followed Sheen.

*Nick’s House*

Music could be heard pounding from a block away. People were slowly entering the enormous house where the party was being held. Cindy could be seen on the upstairs bathroom, checking her self over. As she fixed her hair, she couldn’t stop thinking about what Neutron had told her the day before. He sounded awfully concerned she thought maybe he’s right. She thought back to all that has happened these last few years and was beginning to understand what he had tried to tell her. Before she could finish, Nick peeked into the bathroom.
“Hey, aren’t you ready yet? The party’s picking up pace” He said.
“I’ll be there in a minute.” Cindy replied.
“’Kay” Then his head disappeared. She took one final look at her self before heading to the party.
Couples can be seen making out on the couches in the corner of the room. There were already a few people that were pretty damn tipsy! Cindy searched the room for Libby. She saw her by the door as she entered the house, followed by Carl and Sheen. Cindy made a beeline for her and the guys, wanting to get away from the rowdy people.
“Hey! Glad you can come, there are food and refreshments on the table, enjoy yourselves” Cindy said before the guys ran to the table and began to gulp the food and drinks down.
“Libby, can I talk to you for a sec?” Cindy whispered.

“Ok, yesterday at lunch, Neutron came up to me when you were at the library and he told me something real interesting.” Cindy replied.
“What did he say?”

“Yeah and I was just thinking that maybe its true.” Cindy said as she picked up a small weenie.
“What gave you that idea?” Libby asked.
“Ok, so maybe we do fight a lot, but he has never intentionally lied to me. We have gotten along so well in the last few years.” Cindy looked out the window as she said this.
“You might have a point…” Libby started.
Before they can finish their conversation, Nick stood on a table and called for everyone’s attention. The room quieted down, Nick grabbed a microphone.
“People, I would like to thank you all for coming to this party!” The crowd cheered as he said this.
“I would like to make an announcement. But I’ll need my girl, Cindy, to stand next to me.” Whistles can be heard as the blonde made her way to the front. When she was next to him, he cleared his throat.
“Cindy, these last few months have been great and I couldn’t ask for a better girlfriend.” He started. Cindy could feel the butterflies starting to flutter in her stomach.
“But, as of late, I have been feeling different, you could say that my eyes have been opened.” Libby started walking to the pair but was stopped by two of Nick’s friends.
“So Cindy, what is the real reason you agreed to date me? Because if my memory serves me right, you lost interest in me back in 5th grade.” Nick explained as he circled her. Cindy could feel everyone eyes on her. Her heart pounded as Nick quietly waited for her response.
“I-I-I” Cindy stuttered.
“You what? Maybe the reason is because you wanted to make someone jealous…a certain genius!” Nick accused. Everyone gasped as he shouted this.
“But you know what? I have a little secret to tell you.” He leaned over to whisper in her ear. “I’ve been having an affair.” Before Cindy could react, she felt the freezing cold punch being poured over her head. Betty Quilan was standing behind her, waiting for Nick to give the signal. Everyone quieted before bursting out in laughter. Cindy could feel hot tears running down her face; she turned and ran out the house, ignoring Libby’s calls.

*Cindy’s P.O.V*
I can’t believe he did that and in front of all those people! I thought as I walked to my house. When I was about 2 blocks away, the clouds opened up and let out rain. I stood on the sidewalk, drenched in punch and rain water! I broke into a run, but stopped when I noticed where I was. In front of me stood Jimmy Neutron’s house. I stared at it for a second before I looked over at the backyard; I quietly headed in that direction. When I was sure that the coast was cleared, I pounded on the clubhouse door.

*Inside the lab*

Jimmy had been enjoying his night, as usual. He started out by fixing any glitches in his inventions. When he was done, he set up his HD flat screen TV. Goddard popped in a DVD, and his movie mayhem began! When his first movie was ten minutes to the end, he heard a loud pounding at his door. Jimmy quickly went to his computer and saw that it was Cindy and she was drenched! He pushed the entrance button and waited as she slid down the tube and landed on the soft mattress that he had put there.
“Not to be rude but, what are you doing here?” He asked. She didn’t answer. He was about to ask again when he noticed that she was shivering badly. He walked over to a closet and took out a towel, a large t-shirt and sweat pants. He went over and she took it without a word.
“There’s a bathroom over on that side. If you want you can shower and change.” He said. She looked over where he had pointed and nodded her head. When he was sure that she was inside, Jimmy lead out a long sigh. He guessed that the reason for her appearance had something to do with Nick. He could feel his blood boil as he thought about the smug pretty boy.
If he put even one finger on her, I’ll rip him apart! He thought as he settled onto the couch. About 20 minutes later, he heard the shower turn off. He listened for any other sound but all there was quietness. Two minutes later, the door to the bathroom opened and Cindy stepped out. She wore a navy blue t-shirt and matching pants.
“Do you mind with I use your brush?” Were the first words she spoke. He shook his head and patted the space next to him on the couch. Cindy walked over slowly and sat down; a comfortable silence fell over the pair. Jimmy didn’t say anything in hope of not fighting with her. After a while, Jimmy could here soft sniffs from her.
Oh no… I can handle an angry Cindy but not a crying one! He thought. He slowly scooted over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. She flinched slightly but otherwise didn’t make a move.
“You okay? I’m guessing the party didn’t go well.” He said softly. She shook her head and continued crying softly.

“You were right. Nick dumped me in front of all his guests and then Betty poured punch all over me. I have should have listened to you.”

“I don’t know.”
