Neverium was the first to see it, stopping short of entering the massive cavern. Sourceless light lit up everything. Crystal like walls stretched from the ground and ascended to a ceiling fifty feet high. Three streams of water flowed from the walls, falling over the only three exits, and within the center of this chamber, was a pedestal. Held in the crystal designed table, was a single book. Nothing remarkable about it really, just a brown cover with a single word in a language too old to read.
When Shego caught up and stood at his side, a few things were obvious. This place wasn’t man made, it was too perfect, and the second, there is only one reason to put a book in a place like this, so no one ever finds it.
Neverium stepped froward, standing under the clear water, letting it pour over his body slowly. It didn’t take away the pain of his injuries, but it made him feel cleaner, and that was a start. He was still for some time, soaking himself in the sensation of being under water without drowning. Of feeling completely imersed without fear.
Stepping out and into the chamber, he turned to look at his companion. “How many times do I have to ask if you are coming girl?”
This was her first real look at him since he had ambushed her, and he seemed different somehow. True he had an arm and eye missing, and this time he was alone with no Kim Possible to rescue him, still, it was something else. She looked him over, he was standing up strait for one, instead of slouching, which explained why she actually had to look up ever so slightly to meet his gaze. Shego was a tall woman, and few men had that leverage over her, but apparently, by an inch or so, he did. Then her eyes glanced over his face, jaw set, eye aflame for some unknown reason, hair matted to his forehead. He looked like an animal, scarred, wounded, and more dangerous then ever. A sudden and unexplained chill went down her spine as they continued to stare at one another until she nodded and stepped forward, allowing the water to rinse her as he had.
Stepping out, she felt exhilerated, like the weight of the world had been lifted from her shoulders. Then a hand, far stronger then it apeared, clamped down on her upper arm. Before she could respond, she felt his face buried in her hair, resting in the crook of her neck as he took a long deliberate sniff of her wet ebony locks. Shego was about to whip around and demand an explaination, or beat one out of him, when he let go and started walking away from her. She was stopped in her tracks and another chill went down her spine as she heard his words. “You smell, your natural smell, is....exquisite.” No one had ever said such a thing to her, not that many men had paid her compliments, sure she was hot, but her temper, and physical prowess turned most off. Shego nodded dumbly as she followed.
The blond man had halted so quickly, she almost ran into him. He could hear it, the voice calling him once more. It was coming from the book. He didn’t notice, simply staring at the book that lay just inches from his hand. He was still for quite some time, until finally reaching forward until his fingertips brushed the cover of the book. In a bright flash, pink electricity shot forward, completely engulfing his body and raising him into the air.
Shego was knocked back onto the ground, left staring up at the man pulsating with pink energy. She could barely breath as the transformation took place. Neverium’s shoulder and eye wounds healed before her very sight. His body grew an inch or so in hieght, and his muscles became more defined. Blond locks grew quickly until they hung around his shoulders, a thick deep beard sprouting from his face. Screams filled the chamber, and for an instant Shego thought they were his, but soon realized they were her own. Finally, he fell to the ground, only an occasional pulse of power evidence of the energy. Pulling himself up, he looked eye to eye with the woman who was crawling toward him with fear on her face. He had aged years right in front of her. She couldn’t explain how, or why, but the young man was atleast five years older then a moment before.
Shego completely lost her voice. Staring at her was one brown eye just as before, but in the scared socket lay a black orb with glowing pink iris. “I remember, I remember everything...... Standing, he rubbed a calloused hand ran over his features, and smirked. “I suppose I need a shave now.....but we will worry about that when we get out of here, follow me my dear.”
Shego felt her heart beat faster as he rose, no sign of pain from his wounds, and offered her his hand. She swallowed, placing her hand in his own and never taking her eyes from his face. “Where are we going?’
A swift and strong motion brought her off the ground and into his arm, their bodies pressed against one another, faces inches apart. Green eyes stared into brown and pink, and for an instant, she was lost there. They were deep, far deeper then she ever imagined, and they were hungery, though for what she wasn’t sure. When he finally spoke, it was in a whisper. “Simple Shego, we go anywhere we wish, anywhere that will full fill our desires, give us what we want. What is it that you want Shego?”
If he saw the ever so slight pink tint in her pupils, he didn’t seem to care. “I want to be my your side Neverium.” Though she appeared to be hypnotized, her voice was niether hallow not robotic.
Gently letting her go, he stepped back and grabbed the book from the pedestal. “We have much to do Shego, and I know exactly where to start.”

Senoir Senior Sr. stood on a high balcony, overlooking his island. His mind was flipping through different ideas for world conquest, the hobby of a bored old billionaire. In truth, he was beginning to get bored with that as well, but it was something to keep him busy.
A sudden flashing of lights and sirens caught his attention immediately, the red lights blinking a crimson tint over everything. He quickly turned and walked as quickly as his cane would allow. “Junior, Junior come here immediately, we have an intruder.” It couldn’t be Kim Possible, they had done nothing wrong....lately. Few others even knew their island existed.
An arrogant young man came into the room, adjusting his hair. “Oh father, you know that no one will get through the traps downstairs, I don’t see why you insist on worrying over something so foolish. Meanwhile, my hair just won’t stay in place.”
Any further argument was halted by the door across the room shattering into thousands of pieces. A large metalic jaw lay on the ground at their feet. Two sets of eyes traveled up from the metal chunk and toward the two figures standing in the doorway. One they recognized instantly as Shego, though something seemed different.
The other stood completely still for a moment. Lavender robes embroidered with golden symbols covered his body, including a hood hiding his face. Only a few locks of straw blond hair stuck out from the shadows , and a single pinprick of pink light glowed from it’s depths. “How pathetic, you have all this money and you actually stoop to robotic sharks. Anyone with a braincell would have gone the genetic mutant route. Then again, you are Junior’s father.”
“Such skill is extraordinary, but do I know you. Your voice is familiar.” The elder Senior stepped forward, squinting at the other man.
Neverium pulled his hood back, letting blond tresses fall around his shoulders. He had sculpted his beard into a long gotee that ended in a point. A wicked grin spread over his face, “Me? Oh I’m no one...” The smile disappeared. “Kill him Shego, I have some business to discuss with our mentally challenged friend here.”
“Father who is he talking about?”
“RUN JUN........” His words were cut short by a green flaming claw exited the back of his neck. A quick flick of her wrist sent the gray head flying. By the time she had turned back, her partner had cornered the younger man, who was curled up in a ball crying.
“What is it you want? Money? You can have it, all of it, just please leave me alone.” He began to shake, when a strong hand grasped him by the neck and pulled him off the floor, pinning him to the wall.
“Oh yes, we will be taking all of your money, but that isn’t all I want from you Junior.” Blue eyes stared into Neverium’s, and the captive man went still, his blood running cold. “I need your blood.”
The two intruders laughed, even as Junior pissed himself.

She threw the pillow across the room, letting out an angry cry. Grabbing the sides of her head, Bonnie pulled hard on her hair, trying to force the memory of her dream away. No such luck. It would have been fine if she had stayed asleep, had finished, but as always she had awoken to this room, to this world, and he hadn’t been there.
Ron. Again. Always Ron. This time he had been different, stronger, older, but it was still Ron. The Ron she knew, the Ron she loved, the Ron she could never have.
Curling up into a ball, she shivered as she attempted to return to her dreams, where he was still alive, where he was her’s.
“Do you really miss me that much?”
She sat strait up in her bed and saw him, sitting in the window, half hanging in and half out. Long blond hair flowed with the wind, as he turned and looked at her, with the same grin he always had on his face. How she hated that he never smiled at her like that, but now he was. “It....it can’t be....your dead.” She didn’t care for her own words and leapt from the bed, running to him with tears in her eyes.
Sliding from his seat, he wrapped both his arms around her, smiling inwardly at how real the new one felt. Softly he wiped her tears away and stared into her eyes. Pushing her hair from her fore head. “Don’t worry Bonnie, I’m real. Did you miss me?” He asked the question again, letting her fall into his eyes. Smiling when he saw the strange tint begin in her own.
“Yes Ron...I missed you. I love you Ron.” Words from her heart, barely a whisper as she gave her will to him.
“Then we have much to discuss, don’t we?” Taking her in his arms, Neverium jumped through the open window, and into the night.

(Six months later)
Kim held her head in her hands, elbows propped against the kitchen table. She couldn’t think of a solution. Nothing added up. It was that simple. All the crimes had only one thing in common, a symbol. A large black circle, with a bright pink N in the center, the outside of the circle surrounded in ancient designs carved into the surface of where ever the symbol lay.
She sighed deeply. “Ok, one more time. The Seniors both dead, Junior’s arm burned to ashes in the center of that symbol, Several robberies of ancient Aztec artifacts. Then the abduction of both Bonnie and Monique. It doesn’t add up to anything. Wade’s not even sure what those items are supposed to do, or what the symbol means. How am I supposed to save the world from someone I can’t even figure out.” She slumped further on the table, until her head hit the solid wood. “Everything has gone down hill since...” She couldn’t finish.
“Since Ron died....” Jim stood in the door to the living room, staring at her with blood shot eyes. Shadows hung just below them, a look of contempt on his features. “Why can’t you fucking say it? It’s been six months, deal with it.” His voice, dry like the whisper of a desert, would have been mimiced has his counterpart been there.
Tim came in a second later from behind his brother, looking no better then Jim. “How is she supposed to get over it, she still can’t admit she was in love with him. Too stupid I guess.”
Normally Kim would have burst into a tirade, then told their parents. Now however, wasn’t a normal moment. This was the first time either had been out of their room without being forced in the last six months. In truth, she wasn’t sure that she was taking it as hard as they were. They had no friends their own age, never had. Ron hadn’t just been her best friend, but their’s as well. Now they had no energy, and seemed to hate anything and everything that remotely reminded them of him. Her included.
Before she could say anything at all, her Kimmunicator went off. “Yes Wade?”
“We have a problem, someone has broken into Upperton Maximum Security Prison. They are trying to break out Drakken.” Her young friend looked good, he must have lost twenty pounds over the last few months. He didn’t look unhealthy, just slightly faded.
“No problem, got me a ride?” He noticed how tired she looked and wondered if the nightmares she had mentioned before were still happeneing.
Nodding slightly, Wade looked at her. “There is something you should know, there are two of them...”
She cut him off, “No big, I’ve handled many more at once before.”
“That’s not it, they are dressed in green and black jump suits.” He paused, watching her eyes go wide. “I don’t know if one is her, their both wearing masks and neither has used her powers.”
“I hope it is her, if she’s alive then...”
Jim and Tim interupted, speaking in unison. “Don’t even say it, after so long, don’t even say it.”
Kim nodded and walked out the door to wait for her ride. No reason to get the boys’ hopes up, or her’s for that matter. Staring into the sky she watched the stars twinkle back at her. “Are you still out there? I wish I could know.” She almost miss hearing the motorcycle as it pulled up, and until the driver called her name, she didn’t move.
She had no idea how soon her question would be answered.

Tim clicked on another link, randomly web surfing to pass the time. His brother flipping through the channels on the tv. Neither even moved when the window opened, and a figure entered. The blond man stood smiling, holding a large bag. “Hello boys, how are we today?”
Now they did look up, half smiles spreading over both faces. “Hey Nev, how you?” Jim’s tired voice filled the air.
“We’re here, that’s about it.” His brother continued.
“Sister and parents giving you a hard time?” The twins nodded, leaving what they were doing to pay attention to their occasional guest. “No one understands, I know. They just don’t realize what it’s like to be a guy in this day and age, especially with such potential. I do however. I brought you some more toke.” Pulling out a small baggy of green herb from his robes, he tossed it to Tim, who caught it and immediately opened it up to smell the contents.
“You’re a good man Nev.” Time said, taking another sniff before hiding the weed under his mattress.
Jim smirked, looking their visitor in the eye. “What about the other thing, you know.”
Tim turned back to the blond man and mimiced his brother’s look. “Yeah, it’s been a long time, how is that Bonnie chick?”
Neverium smiled at his “friends” and shook his head. “I know you two had some fun with her, but at the moment I have her picking up a friend, and then dropping off a tape to someone. But you will be able to have some more of it soon. Until then, you will just have to deal.” His smile faded, and his eyes glowed. “But for now, I have something I need you to do for me.”
Tim and Jim looked at each other, then back. “We’ll do anything for our friends.”
The older man smiled. “I thought as much.”
