Corscan awoke before the dawn, though it was not the faint spectral grey twilight creeping over the landscape that roused her from her slumber, nor was it the fact that she’d gotten the four hours sleep she needed to be fully rested, but rather it was the ravening hunger clawing at her belly that dragged her awake with its relentless, ever growing demand. She’d missed her nighttime meal in favor of a few more hours sating an entirely different hunger with Kim instead, and had gone over twelve hours without feeding as a result. Now she was paying the price for that decision in spades as her empty stomach screamed to be filled.
Lightly stretching with a care that was second nature to her, Corscan smiled as she looked down at the sleeping form of Kim Possible lying next to her. The girl was on her side and pressed against Corscan with her left arm draped across Corscan’s stomach, left leg bent across Corscan’s legs, and her head resting more on Corscan’s shoulder than the pillow under her.
Corscan shook her head gently as she watched Kim; she looked so peaceful and wholesome and innocent sleeping there you’d never guess she’d managed to fuck for nearly five hours straight last night before finally running out of steam. Then she’d fallen asleep so quickly and deeply it was like someone hit her with a sledgehammer.
Damn, she is just so perfect… Corscan thought with an almost painful swell of emotion for the girl lying next to her while she allowed her eyes to dilate fully, only a sliver of greenish-grey iris remaining around huge pools of darkness as the world sprang into sharp, yellow-green monochrome detail as her night vision adjusted to the growing twilight.
Corscan shook her head again, a soft, rueful smile on her lips as she quietly murmured; “An’ I really shouldn’t have done this.”
Still smiling, Corscan smoothly extricated herself out from under Kim with a skill born of countless similar encounters, leaving the girl undisturbed in her slumber. Then she eased herself out of bed, only pausing to collect her comm-link from a small, low shelf on the side of the bed before slipping out of the gazebo as silent as a ghost.
After she’d gone down the steps and was on the stone walkway, Corscan paused to look up the beach at the coming dawn. It was going to be an unusually beautiful day today for the island paradise; there was hardly a cloud in the sky and the air was almost crisp with how little humidity it held. Corscan yawned quietly and stretched mightily, every muscle in her powerful body rippling and standing out in stark relief as she tried to touch the sky with her fists. Then she padded up the walkway towards the beach house whisper-quiet while fitting her comm-link onto her right ear.
Once inside, Corscan triggered the connect button on her comm-link and headed into the kitchen. She only had time to get to the fridge and open it before Hui’s high-pitched cartoon voice spoke crisp and clear in her ear.
“How may I serve, my Lady?”
“Report,” Corscan answered as she began digging through the family-sized frozen dinners in the freezer. “What’s been happenin’ in my absence?”
“There have been several minor events that require your attention my Lady.” Hui replied, not bothering to state the obvious fact that there had been no major ones, since she had not interrupted her Lady’s activities with a call yesterday. At Corscan’s drawled hum of inquiry she continued.
“The exiled Prince Aziz Adham Asad has managed to successfully entreat a guarantee of assistance from several minor sultans in recovering his throne from General Faysal Humam Karam. Calculations indicate an eighty-seven percent probability that the resultant conflict will destabilize the region to the point where several, if not all, parties involved will be deposed and replaced by Islamic extremist theocracies. There is a further forty-three percent probability that these conflicts will spiral out of control, drawing one or more of the major Middle Eastern powers into the clash.”
“Options?” Corscan asked as she settled on a four-pound lasagna and pulled it from the freezer.
“Regional Command and Control suggests staging a failed assassination attempt on General Faysal, using Al-Qaeda or Islamic Jihad cat’s paws, and seeding a trail of collusion back to Prince Aziz, along with evidence of his conversion to extremist fundamentalism and intent to turn control of his state over to theocratic rule once he recovers it. RC&C further suggests arranging for Mossad involvement in the discovery and disruption of the attempt; further strengthening General Faysal’s benevolence towards the West. International C&C suggests that using MI6 would be the wiser course of action, as their involvement will arouse less suspicion.”
“Do both,” Corscan said as she peeled the tin pan off of the icy block of pasta she’d uncovered, tossing it aside while placing the food in a microwaveable ceramic pan. “Use MI6 as the primary but have them act on information supplied by Mossad contacts. An’ make sure that someone takes out Prince Aziz once an’ for all when this plays out.”
“By your command, my Lady.” Hui responded before hesitantly moving on to the next item, knowing full well how much it would displease her Lady. “Senator Trask was arrested last night. It seems a concerned citizen called in a report of screaming and sounds of a struggle at the townhouse he was using. Units responded faster than usual and were able to bypass his bodyguards and catch him in the act of assaulting the girl he had brought there with him.”
Corscan’s eyes narrowed dangerously and it was an effort for her to set the pan into the microwave instead of hurling it across the room. God damn it! If we didn’t need that fat, twisted fuck so much I’d’a had his balls hacked off with a rusty straight razor an’ fed to him years ago! Corscan raged in her head while viciously stabbing the turbo defrost button several times with a rigid finger. Then she inhaled deeply and released a long, controlled breath while the microwave started up.
“Who was it this time, an’ how bad was it?” she said with controlled calm.
“We are not entirely sure of the specifics yet my Lady, but we have confirmed that the girl was an underage prostitute and that she is in stable condition. The damage was… mostly superficial.”
“What you mean is they stopped him while he was still busy rapin’ her instead of beatin’ her.” Corscan snarled, rage and disgust twisting her features as she opened the fridge and started moving Chinese food containers out onto the counter.
“Yes, my Lady.” Hui said contritely.
Corscan sneered and then shook her head slowly. “All right, clean up the mess, an’ make sure the girl gets a good life somewhere nice. Tell that twisted piece of shit Trask that it’s time he started payin’ us back for all our goodwill. He’ll flip-flop on the environmental bill an’ pull all the strings he can to get his allies in the Senate to do the same, he’ll put pressure on Governor Simms to adopt the new State tax formulas, an’ he’ll advise Don Antonio in the strongest of terms that it would be in his best interests to join Don Marco’s new syndicate alliance against the Russian Mafia.”
“Yes my Lady, but Senator Trask is sure to balk at the environmental bill. His constituents would be less than pleased with him should he support more stringent environmental protections; especially his campaign contributors.”
“If that depraved pig so much as opens his mouth about his constituents, you ask him how ‘less than pleased’ his constituency would be to discover his proclivities instead. Make it clear in no uncertain terms that his free ride is over! We own his fat ass now, an’ he’ll do what we say when we say or we’ll bury it!” Corscan growled, slamming a tub of sweet and sour pork balls down on the counter so hard the lid popped off.
“Yes my Lady.”
“Now, tell me the rest.”
“Yes my Lady. Another theoretical physicist has solved the Cold Fusion problem.”
Corscan sighed as she flipped open the pizza box she’d just set on the counter. “Inspired by the whole Ron Stoppable Rufus fiasco no doubt. Is this one tractable at least?”
“Actually my Lady, Dr. Omar’s designs utilize a unique crystalline micro-cell structure to contain and achieve the reaction that will prove to be much more stable and easily controlled than other designs that have arisen in the past. As for his tractability, Psych Ops believes that Dr. Omar’s motivations are based purely in the science; he only wishes to achieve a functional reactor in order to solve the problem. If this is the case, he will be most pleased with an offer to join one of our insulated theoretical research facilities. As well, for such an intelligent man he has been most imprudent in acquiring over sixty thousand dollars in gambling debts. This will provide excellent leverage should he prove to be less open to an offer than we anticipate.”
“Good, see to it. An’ Hui, I assume this new crystal thing he’s come up with is better than our own reactors, right?”
“Yes my Lady.”
“In that case, take any additional steps necessary to acquire him. Do not follow standard procedure in this case; his termination will only be allowed under my direct sanction, understood?”
“Yes my Lady.”
“All right, keep me apprised of this situation until it’s resolved Hui. Anythin’ else?” Corscan asked before she started wolfing down a slice of cold super-works pizza while turning on the oven.
“WWEE made two feints and one true move against Global Justice last evening. Dr. Director fell for one of the feints but was able to recover in time to counter the actual strike against them.” Hui responded.
“Go Betty!” Corscan said around a huge mouthful of pizza, smiling as she did.
“Yes my Lady. In addition, Gemini terminated sub-commander Millicent Smythe for conspiring against him.”
“Mmph,” Corscan grunted around another bite of pizza. “An’ I assume this was before she had time to further investigate the operative she had uncovered in WWEE?”
“Yes my Lady. Sub-commander Smythe had yet to confide her suspicions to anyone else, and we have recovered all her personal files that mentioned the operative, who has been able to fully reestablish their cover now.”
“Good.” Corscan responded while heading back to the insistently beeping microwave, opening it and taking out the defrosted and partially cooked lasagna. Then she moved over to the oven and put the pan inside, covering it before she closed the door again. “Is that it?”
“No, my lady. This week’s research reports indicate that one of our internal medical research cells has made a breakthrough on the AIDS cure. Dr. Cadmus has managed to increase the efficiency of the refinement process to the point were it produces well over twice the quantity of the drug as before. In addition, Dr. Cadmus believes that he can apply his new process to at least three of the intermediary steps in producing the drug, further increasing the final output to nearly four times current levels.”
“Soooo… a full treatment regime would only cost around a hundred an’ fifty thousand instead of half a million if everythin’ works out? Great, just great. Well, it’s a step in the right direction anyway. Have they made any progress on synthesizin’ any of the elements of the cure yet?” Corscan asked while loading Chinese food containers into the microwave.
“No, my Lady. There has been no further progress on that front, though the research team is still optimistic on the chances of a breakthrough.” Hui answered.
“Heh…” Corscan grunted sharply, setting the timer on the microwave and turning it on. “Research teams are always ‘optimistic’ over their chances of solving a problem or makin’ a breakthrough so long as the money is flowin’ an’ the timetable is open.”
“Indeed, my Lady.” Hui replied.
Corscan grabbed four slices of pizza and slapped them together like an oversized sandwich before heading upstairs. As she went, she took a big bite and somewhat incoherently asked Hui; “Muff’s neft?”
“There is only one thing that remains my Lady. Yet another report of irregular activity within the Delgado Cartel has come in. It seems they have recruited and fully equipped close to two hundred more soldiers over the last few weeks.”
“God damn it!” Corscan swallowed, “Where the hell are they gettin’ the resources to keep expandin’ like this? Over the last six months they’ve constructed three new compounds, rebuilt or upgraded all their land vehicles, and added a dozen planes an’ boats to their fleets, but they’ve maintained or even increased their cash reserves an’ holdin’s! It doesn’t make any sense!”
“Yes my Lady. I regret to inform you that we are still at a loss to explain the discrepancies.”
Corscan sighed and took another bite of her pizza sandwich as she stepped into the upstairs bathroom, chewing while she thought intently. After a few moments she swallowed and said; “All right, double the passive surveillance on them, initiate active surveillance, an’ tell RC&C to begin takin’ steps to insert an operative into the Delgado Cartel.”
“By your command, my Lady.” Hui answered.
“Have we managed to reestablish direct surveillance on Drakken yet?” Corscan asked before taking two more bites of her pizza sandwich and then turning on the shower, chewing noisily as she did.
“Not as yet my Lady. Passive surveillance has narrowed his location down to North America, but has yet to trace his communications to a specific location. He has begun utilizing his network again, transferring secured funds into his operating accounts and hiring agents to begin recruiting both field operatives and technical staff for him. As well, he appears to be gathering the personnel and resources to begin building a much larger complex than usual for him.”
“Intereftin’… haff he contacted Fhego yet?” Corscan asked around a mouthful of pizza.
“No, my Lady, though that might have more to do with her activities than his efforts. He has taken the necessary steps to contact her through her fixer, but she has yet to respond to him. We believe this is most likely due to her wish to relax after the freelance commission she undertook while he was imprisoned. We currently place Shego at the Olympus Spa in Greece.”
“Humph. Fat chance she’ll leave there until her time’s up. All right Hui, if that’s everythin’ then I’ll return to my little distraction here. Maintain standard protocol an’ don’t contact me unless somethin’ major comes up.”
“By your command, my Lady.”
“Tygress out.” Corscan said before ending the communication. Then she wolfed down the rest of her pizza sandwich, wiped her hands when she was finished, and took off her comm-link, putting it on the counter before using the toilet and then stepping into the shower.
Ten minutes later Corscan was much cleaner and toweling off. Once she was dry Corscan grabbed her comm-link and went back downstairs, returning to the kitchen and putting all the heated food out on the counter before descending on the buffet like a one-woman locust swarm. A disturbingly short time later she was wiping her mouth with a napkin and looking out the window to check if Kim was waking up or not.
Seeing that the girl was still apparently asleep despite the growing daylight, Corscan took the time to go back to the bathroom, brush her teeth, and rinse with Cool Mint Scope before she grabbed her laptop, wireless trackball, and comm-link and headed back outside. Returning to the gazebo, Corscan entered the screened, skeletal structure silently and set her comm-link back on the shelf before she slipped into bed with Kim, taking every care to avoid disturbing the girl as she performed the difficult task of getting under the covers without waking her.
Using all the extra pillows to prop herself up, Corscan opened her laptop and turned it on, waiting for it to warm up before she went to work studying the various information and progress reports that had come in while she’d been away. As she did, Kim snuggled up to her while she slept, making a happy little noise and sliding her arm across Corscan’s stomach once more, gently gripping her waist and pulling herself closer to Corscan.
Corscan smiled warmly and watched Kim sleep for a few moments before returning to her work.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was warm, and Kim was floating on the edge of waking sleep. She inhaled deeply, and her mouth curled into a faint smile as she smelled clean linen sheets and the soft scent of clean skin and herbal shampoo. A nice warm softness was next to her and under her outstretched arm, and she wanted to sink into it and keep floating in her relaxed state, but the brightness wouldn’t let her—that, and the soft, staccato clicking noises that kept pushing their way into her head.
Stretching, Kim opened her eyes and immediately regretted it, hissing in pain as the brightness increased tenfold, driving into her eyes with a sharp ache. Squinting, Kim looked around as her eyes slowly adjusted and her surroundings gradually resolved from a washed out, glaring white to the bright but bearable images of the framework screen gazebo she was in, the huge bed she was on, and the woman she had been sleeping next to with her arm across her tight stomach.
For a moment Kim didn’t remember why she would be sleeping next to a woman, let alone why they were both naked, but then everything came back to her and she fought a faint blush even as her smile blossomed into a full-fledged grin. A moment later she looked up to see Corscan smiling and gazing at her with her lively hazel eyes, the bight morning sunlight bringing out the golden flecks in them.
“Mornin’ darlin’. Sleep well?” Corscan asked warmly.
Kim moved back a bit and propped herself up on her right arm so she could look at Corscan more easily. As she did, the sheet covering her fell down to her waist, and for a second she instinctively panicked, pulling her arm back from Corscan’s waist and reaching for the blanket so she could cover herself up again, before realizing just how silly that was considering both what she’d done with Corscan last night, and the fact that the big woman was sitting there propped up on several pillows with the sheets stopping at her hips. Instead, Kim rested her arm on her hip while she took note of the laptop sitting on Corscan’s hips and the weird, unfamiliar hexagon-based desktop display and strange text that were showing on it. The letters looked Arabic to Kim, but there were several differences in the flowing script that made her think she might be wrong about that.
“Mmmm, yeah, I slept great.” Kim said thickly, and then cleared her throat after she heard how muzzy her voice was. She was also smiling broadly over the truth of the statement; last night’s rest was possibly the best sleep she’d ever had, or at the very least, the best sleep she could remember having.
“Glad to hear it darlin’, though I was pretty sure I knew the answer already, given how log-like you were. Soft, warm, snuggly wood, but wood nonetheless.” Corscan grinned and winked at Kim, who gave a short giggle back.
“I’d make a joke about ‘morning wood’,” Kim said, grinning and only blushing slightly, “but like you said last night; we’re girls, not guys.”
Corscan snorted in amusement and responded; “Well, don’t go gettin’ any ideas girly girl; you’re gonna have your hands full riiiight… aboooout… now.”
Kim had time to ask; “Hunh? What are you talking about?” before her eyes widened as she was struck by the sudden and urgent need to go to the bathroom. She quickly amended her question to; “How did you do that?”
Corscan laughed. “Wasn’t that hard darlin’. Watched you eat over twelve hours ago, annnn’… watched you do your little ‘I gotta go’ dance last night too.” Corscan grinned at Kim as the girl started getting out of bed.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah; lucky guess.” Kim griped to hide her blush.
“Skill darlin’, alllll skill.” Corscan shot back without hesitation, and Kim couldn’t help chuckling over the mock-immodest tone of her boast.
Kim hesitated at the edge of the bed for a moment, realizing she would be walking around in broad daylight naked as the day she was born, before her need and a general sense of “the hell with it” sent her to her feet and heading for the door.
“There’s some leftovers on the counter in the kitchen an’ the shower’s upstairs Kim.” Corscan said as Kim opened the door and stepped outside.
“Ok, thanks. I’ll be back… eventually.” Kim responded with a grin while closing the screen door behind her.
It was a short trip to the beach house for Kim as she quick-walked up the stone pathway and went inside, heading straight for the bathroom and only pausing in the kitchen for a second to grab the single remaining slice of pizza she saw in the box as she went by. By the time she sat down on the toilet only the crust remained; she was pretty hungry too, since she’d missed her evening snack last night.
Once she was done in the bathroom, Kim went back out into the kitchen to see what else was on the counter, and was pleased to find a quarter of a big lasagna and half a full Chinese food dinner remaining. Kim quickly reheated the food in the microwave and ate pretty much everything there was before she finally felt full. Then she put the few dishes there were into the sink to soak out of habit before retrieving her toiletry bag from her overnight bag on the couch. Once she had that, she headed upstairs to see if she could find the shower.
It took Kim a few false turns, but she found the upstairs bathroom fairly quickly, and gave an amused snort and shake of her head when she saw that the shower was remarkably similar to the one that had been in Corscan’s bathroom at her company headquarters; huge and walk-in, with three nozzles and a massager. There was also a shelf of expensive looking shampoos and body washes too, but this time Kim didn’t hesitate to look them over and pick out a few while she waited for the shower to heat up after turning it on.
After all, Corscan had flown her halfway around the world on a high-tech private jet, gone through seven vehicles since arriving if you counted all the mountain bikes, rented a couple of rooms in a big resort hotel just so they’d have a place to clean up and change before wining and dining her at that same resort, tossed around several hundred dollars at a nightclub so there were no questions asked about her age, and then taken her to an opulent secluded beach house built on a mile of private oceanfront property in Hawaii for the rest of the night. It was pretty damn obvious Corscan had money coming out of her ears—or other places—and that she didn’t mind spending it to enjoy herself, so Kim wasn’t going to let her conscience get to her about using some fancy soaps from the woman’s bathroom.
Stepping into the shower, Kim embraced the decadence of the experience and luxuriated in the feel of being nearly surrounded by hot, gentle streams of water while she cleaned herself off slowly and thoroughly, fully enjoying every second of the experience—and almost enjoying the use of the massager a little too much when she felt its pulsing jets cascading between her legs while she was rinsing off with it. But, despite everything that had changed after last night, with everything she had done with Corscan, Kim’s paranoid instincts about masturbation were still pretty strong, so after only a slight pause to imagine what might have been, Kim regretfully moved on in her rinsing, finishing up her shower instead of testing out all the different settings on the massager until she found one to make her really happy with its performance.
Stepping out of the steaming shower once she was done, Kim spent several minutes drying off using a thick, fluffy, baby-soft terrycloth bath towel, and then she thoroughly brushed out her still-damp mane of dark red hair until it shone and recovered its full bounce. After that Kim brushed her teeth and, once she was done, stood looking at herself intently in the full-sized wall mirror over the sink.
Kim was surprised to find that she didn’t look any different than she had before. She was still the same fit redhead with big fern-green eyes she’d always been. Ok, so maybe she thought her shapely, firm little breasts might look a little better, along with the smooth, curving lines of her nearly hairless body, but Kim knew that was no real change; her new appreciation for things she’d never considered assets before was just in her head.
“Nope, it’s just not there. You look exactly the same.” Kim said to herself softly.
But she wasn’t the same, not really. For one thing, she was pretty damn sure she was Gay now… or Bi… or… whatever—not Straight anyway. She’d enjoyed last night far, far too much for it to be anything else, and it had felt… right, to her as well. Maybe not right in the sense that she’d had sex with someone she’d only known for a week or so, but right in the sense that having sex with a woman hadn’t felt the least bit wrong to her. It had seemed… natural.
And that’s the other thing, isn’t it? You’re not a virgin anymore, are you? And I mean you’re really, really not a virgin anymore. Kim thought to herself, unable to help the broad, silly grin creeping across her features as she recalled all the things she’d done last night for… well, she wasn’t entirely sure how long she and Corscan had gone at it, but it was for hours and hours she was fairly certain.
“Oh man you are so not a virgin now!” Kim said to her reflection while laughing. She might have been willing to contest that statement before last night, on the grounds that technically it was impossible to lose your virginity to another woman, but after the things she had done and asked to have done to her… no, definitely not a virgin anymore except by the strictest technical definition.
And that didn’t feel wrong to her either… at least, not yet. Kim wasn’t sure if she’d come to regret what she did last night or not, if one day she’d look back on it as a mistake she should have walked away from, but for now, there was no sense of regret or… loss… or… anything bad. Well, except for the worry that later on there might be. She just couldn’t help it; she felt good about what happened—no, she felt great about what happened. It had been the most amazing, mind-blowing thing she had ever experienced, and even though it hadn’t been some magical, special moment of “deep spiritual connection” between her and someone she loved, it also hadn’t been clumsy or disappointing or painful or embarrassing either, and that had to count for something in Kim’s book. At the very least, because of the way Corscan had guided her through the whole experience, encouraging her every step of the way and never once allowing Kim to feel ashamed of her fears or her responses to what she was feeling, Kim knew it was pretty damn unlikely she’d ever have any sexual hang-ups after last night.
“Well, what’s done is done.” Kim told herself with a smile, “and you can’t go back now… not that you want to.”
Kim grinned as she picked up her toiletries bag and left the bathroom, returning downstairs and putting it away before she paused, studying her clothing options. After a much longer time than she would have thought, Kim finally came to the same decision she’d come to outside: the hell with it. Turning her back on her bags and clothes, she padded outside with only a slight quiver of unease over being naked in the great big outdoors in the clear brilliant light of the morning sun.
Wandering down the stone pathway, Kim paused every few steps to take in the incredible beauty of the gardens to either side of the beach house, the thick verdant richness of the surrounding jungle, and the pure white sands of the beach as it framed the deep aquamarine lagoon and darker cobalt sea beyond. The pale blue sky was clearer than yesterday and the sunlight was stronger, though it currently didn’t feel quite as warm since the air wasn’t as humid. All in all it was simply amazing; a wonderful little slice of paradise on earth.
Kim was smiling as she came up the steps of the gazebo, and after she went inside she paused at the screen door and watched Corscan sitting propped up on the bed, naked to the waist, the soft lines of her relaxed muscles showing clearly under her darkly striped, rich nut-brown skin while she watched Kim in return, her silver laptop resting idly on her hips.
“Thought you had… problems, with bein’ outside like that.” Corscan said with a wry smile and a hint of an arched eyebrow.
Kim smirked and responded; “Yeah, well, things change Lady Godiva.”
“Hey, nothin’ to be ashamed of; if you’ve got it, flaunt it.” Corscan grinned.
“Well then I guess I’ve got it.” Kim bantered as she sashayed around to the side of the bed.
“Humph,” Corscan grunted with amusement. “Never said any different darlin’, never said any different. So, looks like you found everythin’ ok.”
“Yep, all full and squeaky clean again.” Kim responded before hopping onto the bed and scooting up next to Corscan. “So, are you busy working,” Kim murmured as she leaned in close, “or can I start getting… ideas, now?”
Kim was surprised when Corscan reached out and gently held her off instead of kissing her like she’d expected—or at the least, letting Kim kiss her.
“Hang on darlin’, you don’t want to do that.” Corscan said softly.
“Hunh, why not?” Kim asked, confused.
“Because in these cases, I really don’t have that much in the way ‘a willpower, so if you kiss me, it’s pretty likely I’ll kiss you back. An’ then one thing will probably lead to another until it’s noon or somethin’.” Corscan answered with a smile.
“Annnnd that’s a bad thing why?” Kim asked, a puzzled expression on her face as she cocked her head curiously.
Corscan gave a soft sigh and smiled tenderly as she reached out and gently brushed Kim’s hair back from her face, tucking it behind her ear.
“Look Kim, life is all about choices. I’d like to hope that I gave you somethin’ special last night, a gift that you can look back on fondly instead of with regret or anger. But, despite that hope, I know that right now, even though I said it had to be your choice last night, you can still walk away from this. The human mind is really, really good at puttin’ things in the light it wants them in Kim. You did it because you felt you owed me. You did it because you were curious. It was just an experiment, a wild story to tell your friends at college one night, or to be put behind you an’ never, ever thought of again. It wasn’t you, not really, an’ it doesn’t have to mean anythin’.”
Corscan smiled a soft, strangely wistful smile as she continued; “It’s still a choice you can make Kim. But if you keep goin’, you won’t be able to do that anymore; it’ll be you that’s responsible for everythin’ from here on out. You won’t be able to get around that… well, at least not without some seriously delusional thinkin’ anyway.” Corscan gave a soft huff of amusement at the end of her statement, and her smile got just a little brighter as she watched Kim with her gold flecked, nearly green hazel eyes.
Kim looked back at Corscan for quite some time, studying the woman’s handsome features while carefully considering her words and everything that had happened since she’d met her; the emotional turmoil of the last week over the things she’d been forced to confront about herself, the mixed up feelings Corscan evoked in her, and the way she’d felt about last night ever since she woke up this morning.
Finally, Kim nodded slightly to herself and then smiled as she said; “And what if I don’t want to walk away from it?”
“Well then, that would be your choice. But, you still might want to walk away from me Kim.”
“And why’s that?” Kim asked, confused again.
“Well, I think it’s fairly obvious that I don’t exactly have what you’d call… traditional, views about things like this.” Corscan smiled her curling, lopsided smile. “I mean, you said it yourself; I’m crazy an’ screwed up, right? An’ as much as I’d love to toss this laptop an’ have a repeat performance of last night with you, I really don’t want you to be hurt because of me Kim. You need to know what you’re gettin’ into if you wanna take this any further.”
“Well, you are pretty crazy, it’s true,” Kim laughed, “but it’s not exactly like I’m the most normal girl on the planet either. I’ve already told you I trust you Corscan, and after everything you put me through, I really don’t see how anything else you could do would hurt me, but if you think there’s stuff I need to know, then just tell me.”
“All right darlin’, if that’s what you want.” Corscan inhaled deeply and released a long, controlled breath before continuing. “Well, first of all, you need to understand that for me, sex isn’t anythin’ special.”
“What do you mean? I thought you said… I mean, wasn’t last night… special?” Kim asked, and Corscan sighed soft and sad at the look of hurt confusion in Kim’s eyes.
“Now y’see? That’s exactly the kind ‘a misunderstandin’ I’m talkin’ about Kim.” Corscan said gently. “I don’t think there’s anythin’ special about sex itself. Just because I fuck someone doesn’t mean there’s anythin’ more to it than that. If they’re hot, an’ we’re both horny an’ into each other, then we fuck. It’s fun, an’ it feels good, an’ that’s all it is for me. There’s no big spiritual connection or intimacy to it all on its own—well, ok, so there’s like, an inherent degree of intimacy involved, given what sex is, but you know what I mean, right? What makes sex special is what people bring to it, y’understand? If all you wanna do is get laid, it’s just somethin’ really, really fun you can do with someone else. But, if you’re with someone you care about? Someone you love? Someone you want it to be more with? Then it becomes somethin’ more, somethin’ deeper, because you make it more.”
“It’s like…” Corscan groped for the words she was looking for. “It’s like this beach.” Corscan swept her arm out to gesture at the beautiful sands and ocean spread out around them. “You can take a walk down this beach an’ enjoy it, appreciate how beautiful it is an’ all the little things you’ll discover along the way, but, if you take that walk with someone you care about, someone you love, you enjoy it more because they’re there to share the experience with. That’s what makes it special. But, you can still walk down the beach an’ enjoy it just for what it is, even if you don’t have someone special to share it with. It might not be as meaningful for you, but it’s still fun, you see what I’m saying? That’s sex for me.”
“Now last night, last night was special for me Kim, because I got to do somethin’ special for you. I got to be your first, to open your eyes about yourself an’ to show you a whole new world of possibilities. An’ hopefully, to show you just how wonderful an’ hot an’ wicked an’ enjoyable that world can be, so you always remember it as somethin’ good.”
“Ahhhh, yeah, well, all I can say is ‘mission accomplished’ there.” Kim was smiling again. “Well, I think I understand what you mean now, but, I don’t really know why you’d think that would hurt me.”
“Then you’re not thinkin’ it through darlin’. I don’t see sex as any different than playin’ tennis with someone or going to a show with them. It’s just somethin’ to do if they turn me on. Hell, I don’t even need to really know them or like them that much for that matter…”
“Ummm, still not gettin’ it.”
“Well darlin’, I’m sure you’ve had a few boyfriends over the years, right?” At Kim’s nod Corscan continued; “Did you stop goin’ to the movies with your friend Ron while you were seein’ them?”
“No, why would I stop—oh! Ooooooh…” Kim’s eyes widened, and a very strange look crossed her features.
“Yeah, ‘oh’,” Corscan said with a dry smile.
“So you mean that… even when you’re seeing someone you still… I mean you, what? Play the field?” Kim said, not quite sure how to put it.
Corscan snorted and responded; “Well, not the way you make it sound, no. It’s not like I’m ‘playin’’ anyone, waitin’ for somethin’ better to come along or tryin’ to have my cake an’ eat it too, I just like to fuck, an’ I don’t see why I should have to stop fuckin’ other folks just because I’m seein’ someone. That’s the problem with not thinkin’ sex is special darlin’; it doesn’t mean anythin’ to me, so if I can play tennis with other people or take them to lunch or have a conversation with them, then why can’t I fuck them if I want to? It’s just sex, with no connection, because I don’t bring anythin’ to it—I mean, other than wantin’ to get laid that is.”
“Ummm, yeah… Ok, I think I understand what you mean. But… you’ve never been with someone where you didn’t want to sleep with other people too?” Kim asked.
“Nope, sorry darlin’,” Corscan shook her head gently. “I’ve been in a number of relationships over the years, even been in love a few times, an’ never once thought different. It’s just the way I am, an’ it’s not gonna change.”
“You ever think you might ahhhh…” Kim hesitated, and then pushed on, “have a… problem? With that?”
“Heh heh… it’s ok Kim, you’re not the first one to ask me that, an’ I’m sure you won’t be the last.” Corscan grinned. “I’ll admit that I might be close to havin’ a problem. I wouldn’t quite say that I’m addicted to sex, but I do like it a lot, an’ my sex drive is much, much higher than what would be considered ‘normal’, but, it doesn’t get in the way of my day-to-day life, an’ I don’t fuck just anyone who’s around because I need it; I can say ‘no’, an’ I’ve got standards beyond ‘has a pulse’.” Corscan laughed, and so did Kim. “I’ve just got… different values than most folks, an’ I’m comfortable with that. I’ll be more than happy to be your lover Kim, an’… anythin’ else we might become too, but, I’m not gonna change, an’ you’re not gonna change me either, so… you need to know that. It’s somethin’ you’ll need to accept if you want to be with me like that.”
Corscan laughed again and smiled wickedly as she added; “An’ if you don’t, but you still wanna be around me some other way, you’ll need to accept the fact that I’ll be hittin’ on you mercilessly, because I’m like that too.”
Kim couldn’t help but snort and shake her head over that little contradictory gem.
“Ok, so, you like sex, a lot, and you… like to eat out at a lot of different restaurants in order to feed that appetite.” Oh god, I can’t believe I just made that horrible pun of a comparison, Kim thought, blushing slightly. “Well I… guess that’s… ok, that’s messed up, I just can’t say anything else.” Kim shook her head. “But… you did tell me up front instead of just letting me find out on my own. I don’t know. I think I could… I mean, I might be able to… get… used to it. Maybe. I’d have to see. But hey, the family motto is ‘anything’s possible for a Possible’ after all, so there’s a pretty good chance I could be ok with it.” Kim licked her lips and smiled brazenly, “Who knows, maybe I’ll even ask to join in one day…”
Kim’s first serious attempt at sexual banter crashed and burned horribly as it backfired when Corscan responded with complete sincerity; “Well, if you ever want that, I can show you that world too Kim, whenever you think you’re ready for it.”
Oh my god! She’s completely freaking serious! What the hell am I getting myself into here? Kim panicked for a split second before she fully absorbed what Corscan had said, calming down as she realized the woman wasn’t actually suggesting anything; just letting her know the door was there and open if she wanted to look in. It also didn’t hurt that somewhere inside her a little voice responded; something really, really good stupid, so just smile, nod, and say something!
“Ahhhh… ok. Good to know.” Kim forced a smile and swallowed. “So… is that everything then? You’re not like, an alien or something, sent here to scout our planet for invasion or anything like that?” Kim joked, trying to ease her tension.
Corscan laughed and shook her head. “No, nothin’ like that darlin’, but, there is one other thing Kim. It’s… kinda connected to what I just told you about, but you need to understand that it’s not the same thing, k’?”
“Ummm, ok.” Kim answered, suddenly nervous over the way Corscan seemed almost… hesitant, over what she was going to tell her. Damn. What the hell could she possibly want to tell me that would be worse than that?
“Now, you need to understand that with the life I lead an’ the work I do, this… really hasn’t had the opportunity to come up all that much for me, but…” Corscan took a deep breath and then continued; “I’m polyamorous Kim.”
“Oh-kay. Annnnd that would be?” Kim asked, not recognizing the unfamiliar word.
“It means I don’t believe someone should have to choose between the people they care about or love in relationships Kim, to have to pick one above all the others an’ abandon the rest. I think that as long as you truly care for someone, you should be with them, even if you care for someone else too. As long as you aren’t takin’ anyone for granted or usin’ them or anythin’, an’ as long as they don’t, y’know, hate each other’s guts or somethin’, then there’s no reason not to be with them both, you understand?”
“Now, I’m not sayin’ that the ‘normal’ way most people see relationships is wrong, but, for me—for me—it is. I see it as selfish to force someone to deny their feelin’s just so you can have them all to yourself. It’s petty jealousy an’ possessiveness, an’ those things conflict with love an’ carin’; they poison it. If you really care about someone, you should be happy when they find another person to care about too, an’ who cares about them as much as you do, y’see? At least, that’s what I believe Kim, for me anyway.”
“Oh. Ah… ok. That’s… wow. I don’t know… what to… think… about that.” Kim stammered, at a loss for words.
“Think whatever you want Kim. I’m not tryin’ to convince you of anythin’, I’m just tellin’ you what I believe. It’s up to you to decide what you want to do with it. Maybe you’ll decide that what I believe is somethin’ you might want to believe in too, or maybe you won’t. But it is somethin’ you needed to know.”
“I just… I’m not sure I understand how anyone could think like that.” Kim said, still floundering.
“Well, I suppose I could bust out a bunch of corny, lame-ass hippy bullshit about ‘free love’, but then I’d probably throw up.” Corscan grinned. “Let’s try this. Your friend Ron, you an’ him have been friends for quite some time, an’ the two of you are pretty close, right?” Kim nodded and Corscan continued. “Do you love him?”
“Of course,” Kim answered without hesitation. “He’s been my best friend since pre-K, and he’s always been there for me whenever I’ve needed him. He might get on my nerves sometimes—ok, a lot of the time—and I’ve lost count of how often I’ve wanted to give him a swift kick in the butt, but I couldn’t imagine my life without him in it.”
“All right then, in light of your… recent discoveries last night,” Corscan’s lopsided smile curled deeper, “let’s say you an’ Ron are both interested the same girl, an’ she’s into each of you as well. So, you both start datin’ her, an’ things get more an’ more serious until y’all realize you’re in love, right? Now, what do you do about it? Do you make her choose between your best friend an’ you? Or maybe he does the ‘noble thing’ an’ steps out of the picture so you can be together. Or maybe you do it for him. Or maybe she does it, by refusin’ to choose between the two ‘a you an’ breakin’ it off with both of you so that it doesn’t mess up your friendship. But why? No matter what, someone gets hurt that way. Me, I wouldn’t even think about it, because there’s no problem there for me; we’d just keep seein’ her for as long as she wants to see us.”
“I suppose I’m makin’ it sound easier than it is though.” Corscan smiled ruefully. “I’m not sayin’ it’s simple to believe what I do Kim; in some ways it’s a lot harder than normal relationships. You have to be much more open an’ trustin’, you have to be able to really communicate with your partners an’ be willin’ to compromise an’ share with them. An’ you have to fight human nature to want everythin’ all for yourself. But, if you can do that Kim? Then you can make it work.”
“An’ hey,” Corscan’s smile twisted into a smirk, “what is it nowadays? Fifty percent of all marriages endin’ in divorce? So it’s not like the other guys have all the answers either.” Corscan winked playfully at Kim.
Kim nodded slowly, still having trouble coming to grips with Corscan’s philosophy. It pretty much went against everything she’d ever been taught or learned while growing up—if she was honest, she knew it went against her instincts too. All she needed to do was remember how close she’d come to screwing up her relationship with Monique when they’d been fighting over Hirotaka’s attentions to know that. But… that didn’t make it wrong. In fact, there was a strangely seductive logic about what Corscan said. It made sense, in a completely counterculture sort of way. Or at least, it seemed to make sense. It went against everything most people believed in, but… a lot of people believed in other things that weren’t necessarily right either. Just because it was something people believed didn’t make it right.
“Hey, Kim,” Corscan’s gentle voice and her warm hand on Kim’s knee brought the girl out of her reverie, and she looked up to see the woman looking at her with compassionate eyes. “I’m not sayin’ you have to figure out how you want to live the rest of your life right this minute, I’m just tellin’ you how I am so you know what you’re getting’ into. Now, if all you want is a fuck buddy to have some fun with, well, you hit the jackpot with me, right? But… if you start thinkin’ there might be somethin’ more to it than that? Well, I want you know this stuff now, so you won’t get hurt by it later.”
Kim snorted, raised an eyebrow, and responded in a bone-dry tone; “Fuck buddy?”
Corscan grinned as she answered; “Hey, I didn’t invent the term, I just used it. What, you like ‘friends with benefits’ better?”
Kim laughed and shook her head. “Yeah, ok. So, you’ve yet again proven you’re strange, I got it.”
“Don’t you mean crazy an’ screwed up?” Corscan joked, and Kim laughed again.
“Look Kim, you’re the one that started gettin’ friendly again this mornin’, an’ I’m more than happy to give you what you want, but I want you to think about what that is first, ok? I can be your lover or your friend or your teacher or even somethin’ more, if that’s the way things go, or I can just be that crazy woman you had sex with once, but the one thing I can’t be is someone I’m not, you understand? If you want to be with me in some way, you’re gonna get me, in all my crazy, screwed up glory, an’ y’ain’t gonna be able to change that, ‘k?”
“Ok Corscan, I think I understand.” Kim smiled softly. “But there’s a few more things I want to know before I think about this.”
“Well then ask away darlin’.”
“You said you don’t think twice about getting into relationships with multiple people if they’re ok with that, right? But, you also said that with the life you lead and the work you do, it doesn’t come up much. What did you mean by that?”
Corscan smiled wryly as she answered; “I’ve got a crapload of responsibilities an’ very, very little time left to have any kind of life in Kim. I’m on call twenty-four seven, three hundred an’ sixty five days ‘a the year, an’ my work keeps me isolated from the world at large. That means there’s not many opportunities for me to meet other people, so it’s not like I’ve had to worry about seein’ more than one person at a time too much. Findin’ someone to have a little fun with? That’s a few hours in a nightclub or just some random girl on the street that catches my eye, but findin’ someone I could have some kind of relationship with? Not easy.”
“Oh. I’m, sorry…” Kim said softly.
“No reason for you to feel sorry Kim.” Corscan gave a wistful smile and shook her head gently. “Honestly it kinda takes a special kinda person to attract my interest anyway, so really, I wouldn’t have much more luck if I lived a life of leisure an’ freedom anyway. Now, what else do you want to know?”
“Well, there’s really only one more thing Corscan. The question is, even though you don’t have much opportunity to meet people, are you… seeing anyone now?”
“Heh… smart girl.” Corscan said. “Well, right now, there are really only two people I care about Kim. One is Damien, though I love him more like a brother than anythin’ else. He’s my good left hand; a dedicated warrior willin’ to give his all to get the job done. Sure, he’s a little overprotective, an’ too stubborn for his own good, but he’s loyal, vigilant, an’ dutiful to a fault. An’ then there’s Hui…” Corscan smiled softly, sadly.
“I… care about Hui, a lot. But… I don’t love her Kim, not like that, an’ I know by now that I never will. I try an’ give her all that I can, but… it’s just not there. I wish it was, because she deserves it so much for all she does for me, but…” Corscan sighed and shook her head gently, “it’s just not. I’ve tried to convince her she needs to find someone else who can give her what she deserves, someone to love her as much as I know she loves me, but… she won’t hear of it. She’s content with what I can give her, an’ she doesn’t want anythin’ else.” Corscan snorted and shook her head again. “Hell, she’s even been naggin’ me that I should try an’ find someone special.”
Kim couldn’t help laughing a little at that, despite how weird it all seemed.
“I suppose in the interest of ‘full disclosure’ I should also mention that I’ve got a few dozen… errr, regular friends? I know scattered around the globe that I see from time to time, but I wouldn’t exactly call them anythin’ more than that. They’re just some folks I’ve seen more than once or twice in the places I’ve been to while I travel who’ve told me I can look them up anytime I’m in town.”
“Mmmm hmmm… so, you have a harem too.” Kim said dryly, eyebrow arched. “You’re not, Batman by any chance, are you?”
Corscan snorted and laughed in amused confusion. “What?”
“Well, you’re a rich industrialist,” Kim began ticking points off on her fingers, “who has access to a whole lot of resources and fancy toys, you’re in perfect physical condition—I ought’a know,” Kim smiled playfully, “you know some exotic ‘perfect’ martial art style, you really know how to spend your money, and, you’re a playboy… errr, girl… whatever, who has like, ‘a few dozen’ casual lady friends. Can you say Bruce Wayne much? All you need is an underground lair and a flying rodent fixation and you’re all set.”
Corscan gave a soft grunt of amusement and responded; “Well, at least you can joke about it.”
“Yeah well, what else am I going to do?” Kim laughed. “It’s not exactly like you’d’a been my first choice to lose my virginity to after all…” Kim’s eyes widened, and a slight flush spread across her cheeks. A few silent, awkward moments later she stammered; “I… I’m sorry. That… didn’t come out right. I didn’t mean…”
“It’s ok Kim, I know what you meant.” Corscan said softly. “It’s not like you’re really wrong about that either. It was your choice, but I pushed you pretty hard towards it.”
“No. No! You didn’t, not really!” Kim quickly replied. “I mean, ok, so you pretty much slapped me across the face with what you wanted, and I’ll admit you weren’t exactly my favorite person in the world for what you did to me… well, what I thought you were doing to me anyway, but you never really pushed me at all. You told me what you expected, told me I could do it, and I really, really didn’t want to hear it, but you never really made me feel pressured… not, really.”
As Kim spoke, she realized she was processing the events of last week out loud, putting them into a new perspective in light of more recent events. She needed to think about this more.
“Look Corscan, you’re right, I did think you were pretty screwed up, and with everything you just told me, that opinion hasn’t exactly gone away, but, after last night, and the other things over last week… well, I’m not sure of anything right now. So I’m gonna need to think about this for a while, ok?”
“That’s all I wanted you to do Kim. To know what I’m like an’ to think about what you wanted.” Corscan answered.
“Well, ‘wish granted’ then.” Kim smiled and then looked away, out towards the beach and the ocean beyond, sitting curled up with her arms around her knees and letting her thoughts drift. Corscan watched her quietly for several minutes before she returned to working on her laptop, looking up from time to time to glance at Kim while the girl kept her vigil as the sun crept higher into the morning sky.
Kim’s thoughts flitted around her head randomly like a scattered school of fish, but eventually, her sharp mind began imposing order to them, gathering them up and returning the school to its organized state.
First she went over what she’d just worked out; that despite the complete lack of consideration Corscan had shown about the impact of what she’d asked for, and her thunderous revelation about something Kim hadn’t even known about herself, the woman hadn’t ever put any real pressure on her. If anything she’d gone out of her way to let Kim know that the only person who was accountable for her decision was Kim herself. She’d never once demanded what she wanted from Kim, and every step of the way she’d worked more to help Kim realize what she was capable of than to force anything out of her. The way she’d went about it so bluntly and openly was twisted and messed up, but Kim didn’t think that made it any worse than if she’d tried to get Kim into bed the “normal” way—and after seeing her in action yesterday, Kim was pretty damn sure that if Corscan had set out to seduce her the old fashion way, she’d have never seen it coming until it was too late for her to say anything other than “yes.”
Kim sighed softly. No, it was your choice. She might have come out of nowhere and blindsided you with it, but every step of the way it was you that chose to allow it to happen. Kim thought to herself. So, what now?
Once more Corscan had thrown her for a loop, this time with her unusual philosophies towards sex and love. Admittedly, Kim should have seen the sex one coming, given that she’d asked Kim to sleep with her as the prize for winning their bet, but still, it was very confusing for her to be confronted with such radical—to her—ideas, and more so, to not be immediately repulsed by them. Despite how weird the situation was, Kim still didn’t have any sense of Corscan using her or taking advantage of her, she just… had different values than most people did, like she said. Could she handle being in a relationship with someone who thought like that? For that matter, what did she really want from Corscan anyway?
Besides more sex, Kim’s mouth curled up in a soft smile as she thought that. It was true; despite everything that Corscan had told her, a big part of Kim’s mind was still distracting her with thoughts of what she could be doing with the very erotically skilled, sensual woman sitting naked less than two feet away from her instead of bothering with all this thinking. Kim couldn’t help it; Corscan was just so hot, and despite how infuriating she was and how much emotional turmoil she had caused for Kim, Kim still liked the woman, as crazy as that seemed. And now that Kim knew what sex was like, she wanted to be with Corscan again.
No, you want to fuck her. Kim thought bluntly. That’s the point, isn’t it? Despite everything she told you, you don’t care, do you? Kim asked herself. You still want her. If she sat up and leaned in right now and started doing that thing with her mouth at the base of your jaw like she did last night, you’d be all over her, wouldn’t you? So the question is, Kimberly Ann Possible, can you fuck someone just for fun, or do you need something more? And if so, are you willing to deal with what that will mean with this woman?
Before last night, Kim would have punched anyone in the nose for having asked the first question, but now, she wasn’t at all sure what the answer was. And the second… she didn’t have the slightest clue what the answer to that was either.
Damnit! Why the hell do I have to be like this? Kim thought angrily. I can save the world a dozen times over from super freaks, but I’m so damn… girly, when it comes to stuff like this! I waited over a year and a half to make a serious play for Josh, I almost became Bonnie over Hirotaka, and I don’t even want to think about what I was with Bobby Johnson. I’m either a timid little wallflower who can’t string two words together because I’m so afraid of what might happen, or I’m a total catty bitch!
Kim sighed softly and watched the gentle ocean waves as she kept thinking, and thinking, and thinking some more. The sun rose higher and higher in the sky as she thought, and the only interruption came briefly from Corscan activating hidden controls in the base of the bed in order to deploy the gazebo’s sunroof and a few wall panels so that Kim didn’t start to fry under the bright Hawaiian sun. Finally, after nearly three hours, Kim took a deep breath and spoke again.
“Corscan?” She asked softly, and after a moment’s pause, the woman looked up from her laptop to find Kim watching her.
“Yeah darlin’?” Corscan answered, equally soft.
“I’ve never really just let go before and let things go wherever they take me. I’ve never really done anything just for myself without planning every move in advance, or at least thinking about the consequences. Mostly I obsess about them actually.” Kim giggled softly. “I’m not sure what I want with you, but I don’t want to think about it anymore. I’m tired of thinking and worrying about stuff like this. I’m not sure if I can handle your… unusual, views or not, but I want to find out by doing instead of trying to figure out every last little thing before I take the plunge. So, if it’s ok with you, I’d just like to be around you and see where it goes from there. If I can’t handle it we can always just stop, right? And if I can, well, we’ll work out how that is as we go along. Is that ok?”
“Of course it is darlin’, if that’s what you want.” Corscan said. “But Kim, I want you to promise me one thing, ok?”
“What’s that?” Kim asked.
“That no matter what happens between us, you’ll never do anythin’ you don’t want to do or that you’re uncomfortable with just because I ask you to or because you think I’ll be disappointed if you don’t, ok? If you ever feel like that, I want you to tell me.”
Kim smiled and then nodded. “Ok Corscan, I promise.”
“That’s my girl.” Corscan smiled back.
“Soooo… are you still busy now, or can I start getting… friendly again?” Kim grinned slyly.
“Heh…” Corscan closed the window she had open on her laptop and set it and her trackball on the floor next to the bed. “An’ that’s my naughty girl.” She ended with a smile.
Kim was moving even before Corscan had finished sitting up again, pivoting around to straddle Corscan’s broad hips and sit on her, looking down into her bright hazel eyes while she rested her hands on Corscan’s waist, brushing her thumbs up and down the big woman’s tight abs.
“You know it.” Kim grinned as she leaned in and kissed Corscan hot and deep and long.
