Chapter 17

“Zis is fun!” random Blitzwing commented as he kicked a car at Lugnut.

“Will you stop knocking things into me?!” Lugnut demanded.

“Vhy should I listen to you?” hotheaded Blitzwing asked.

As Lugnut readied to attack the triple changer, the Autobots drove up and transformed into their robot modes “Hold it right there!”

“Ve have flushed the Autobots out,” said icy Blitzwing.

“Lord Megatron will be please.” Lugnut replied.

“Let’s go Autobots!” Optimus told his group as he pulled out stasis cuffs and Jazz did the same.

“Remember Blitzwing, our glorious leader doesn’t wish for any harm to befall on the yellow mech.” Lugnut reminded his companion.

“You don’t need to remind me!” hotheaded Blitzwing said and transformed into a tank.

As the Autobots rushed off to fight the two Decepticons, Bumblebee winced and pressed a hand to his helm ‘Ow! Why does my head hurt? Is this what Sari calls ‘a headache’ feels like?’ he wondered and tried to ignore the pain and brought his stingers out.

Prowl and Jazz focused their attacks on Blitzwing while Optimus and Bulkhead fought against Lugnut.

Lugnut punched Optimus sending him flying and picked Bulkhead up and threw him into a building. Blitzwing transformed into a jet and took to the sky and fired ice and flame missiles at everyone.

“Blitzwing you glitch! Don’t hit the yellow Autobot!” Lugnut shouted.

“What do they want with Bumblebee?” wondered Prowl.

“We can ask them that when we take them in.” Jazz told the other Cyber-Ninja and jumped into battle once more.

Bumblebee dodges Blitzwing’s missiles and attacked Lugnut with his stingers. Lugnut smacked the youngling and as Blitzwing aimed his weapons at Jazz, ready to fire an ice missile, Bumblebee crashed into the white mech and knocking him out of the Decepticon’s line of sight. Blitzwing pulled away as he fired the missile. The missile hit the ground and encased Bumblebee’s legs in ice.

Bumblebee tried digging his fingers into the floor as he was dragged or get his hands around anything, he even tried kicking at Blitzwing’s leg and hand.

Blitzwing stopped and took Bumblebee’s leg, ripped the plating off and ripped and clawed at the wires and circuits. Bumblebee screamed.

“I varned you.” Blitzwing said.

Bumblebee gasped at that strange memory, he shook his head clear of it and began using his stingers on the ice. Once he was free of the ice, Bumblebee began crawling away and paused as another memory ran through his memory bank.

Bumblebee landed with a heavy thud. He whimpered and tried to crawl away from Starscream.

Bumblebee shook his head, trying to clear his memory bank of the memory but more memories assault him.

Lugnut hit the ground with his devastating punch right in front of Prowl and Bulkhead and blast knocked them back. As they got up, they didn’t notice Blitzwing fire off some ice missiles at them and encased them in ice.

Optimus leapt at Lugnut with a stasis cuff in his hand, the Decepticon however, grabbed the cuffs out of Opitmus’s hand and held him in a vice like grip.

Jazz tried to sneak up on Lugnut with his own stasis cuff but was encased in ice by Blitzwing.

Blitzwing transformed and landed onto the ground next to Lugnut. “Put the stasis cuffs on his wrist.” Lugnut ordered the triple changer as Optimus struggled in his arms.

“Oooh! Kinky!” random Blitzwing laughed as he took the cuffs from Lugnut and slapped them onto the truck bot’s wrists.

Once Optimus was immobile by the cuffs, Lugnut dropped him. Optimus grunted as he landed on his side and watched at the two Decepticons walked over to Bumblebee.

Optimus shuttered his optics, trying to make sense as to why Bumblebee was just sitting rooted to his spot.

“How are we to bring the Autobot back to Lord Megatron?” wondered Lugnut.

“I vould suggest ve freeze him.” icy Blitzwing answered, “As I recall, he doesn’t ztay ztill and yells a lot.”

Bumblebee looked up as he heard the Decepticons talk about him.

“But Lord Megatron told us not to harm him.” Lugnut protest.

“We’re not goin’ to haaarm him! We’re just goin’ to put him on ice!” random Blitzwing laughed.

“…fine. But if Megatron asks, this was your idea.” Lugnut told the triple changer.

“Run Bumblebee!” Optimus yelled to the young mech but Bumblebee just sat in his spot and stared at the two Decepticons in fear “Bumblebee!”

Bumblebee didn’t hear Optimus shout at him, he was watching terrible memories replace a few memories, memories after the field trip on the planet when he was younger. He whimpered softly as a memory of Starscream leered down at him as his hand trailed down his chassis. Another memory of Starscream again clawed savagely at his back, making the youngling scream.

“N-no…” Bumblebee moaned softly and trembles as the memories seemed to consume him.

Blitzwing aimed his blasters at Bumblebee.

Bumblebee’s optics widened more and his trembling increased as a memory lingered. He watched as the Decepticon medic left and soon was staring up at Blitzwing.

“No… no… no…” Bumblebee repeated as the memory showed him Blitzwing stroking his chassis and then grabbing his right arm and began pulling on it.

Bumblebee could almost feel the pain ripple in his right arm as he clutched it and whimpered loudly. He could hear the three words as Blitzwing almost rips his arm off.

Does it hurt?

“Somebody please help me!” Bumblebee screamed as he offline his optics and clutched his helm.

As Blitzwing fired his ice blast at the Autobot, a Humvee drove up to Bumblebee. Moonchaser transformed into his robot form, scooped Bumblebee into his arms and ran off as the blast hit the spot that Bumblebee sat.

Moonchaser pressed his heels into the street to stop his momentum sending chunks of asphalt flying. Once the medic stopped, he stared down at the Autobot in his arms and Bumblebee looked up.

“Moon… chaser…?”

Moonchaser gave him a small smile “Hello Bee… I missed you…” he told him. Bumblebee let loose a sigh and went into recharge.

Optimus stared in shock as the Autobot traitor held his friend to him like a sparkling.

“Nevermore… nevermore will I loose you… my bondmate…” Moonchaser mumbled as he nuzzled Bumblebee.

“Moonchaser! What are you doing here?! Our master told you to stay with him and wait for us to bring the youngling back!” Lugnut shouted.

“It matters not,” icy Blitzwing told the other and began walking towards the medic “As long we have the youngling, we can take him to—”

The triple changer stopped short when a laser blast hit the ground at his feet, both Decepticons stared at Moonchaser as he glowered at them.

“Vat are you doin?!” hothead Blitzwing demanded.

“I won’t let you take Bumblebee to Megatron.” hissed Moonchaser.

“You will defy our leader?!” asked Lugnut.

“I will defy him.” Moonchaser answered coolly.

Blitzwing and Lugnut stared at their medic, they had known for Starscream to be a traitor but Moonchaser…?

“We will bring the youngling and your traitorous chassis back to Lord Megatron!” bellowed Lugnut and attacked Moonchaser.

Optimus watched as Blitzwing and Lugnut attacked Moonchaser, he didn’t know what was going on, all he knew was that he wanted to save Bumblebee and tried struggling with the stasis cuffs.

“Slag!” Moonchaser cursed as one of Blitzwing’s shots hits him in the leg. The Humvee had two Decepticons attacking him at once, he knew they’re better fighters then him especially since he only had one missile launcher and Blitzwing had two and Lugnut had his special attack. Moonchaser was fragged and he knew it.

Moonchaser knew that he could try to free the captive Autobots but he doubted that Blitzwing or Lugnut would let him so he chose his alternate choice. He slid into a parking garage and prayed to Primus for a miracle.

Luckily for Moonchaser, Primus answered his prayer.

A sleek silver and blue jet came careening out of the clouds and towards the party. Optimus saw the jet and the first thing that went through his CPU was ‘Starscream!’

The jet descends lower and fired on the two Decepticons, taking care not to hit the Autobots. As the jet flew pass, the Decepticons stared at it.

“Iz zat Starscream?” icy Blitzwing asked.

“Impossible! Lord Megatron destroyed his spark.” Lugnut answered.

“Vell zhen.” Blitzwing then fired at the jet.

The jet rolled and flipped, dodging Blitzwing’s icy blast and a twilight colored Ferrari screeched into view and headed for Blitzwing. Lugnut stepped in front of the car, ready to use his devastating punch on it only it drove around him and continued on its way.

“Yeeeeeeeeeha!”

Both Optimus and Lugnut turned to see what, Sari had told Optimus, a monster truck ram into Lugnut.

As the Ferrari distracted Blitzwing, it drove out of the flying Decepticon’s way as he crashed into his comrade.

Optimus wondered who these daredevils are as he watched the monster truck transform into a mech he never seen before. Optimus could see his hand cupped and pressed close to his chassis. The Ferrari drove up to the mech and transformed into a smaller mech that looked close to the same height as Bumblebee, he even looked almost like him and struck a familiar pose to that of Prowl’s. The truck bot could see the Autobot insignia on his chest. The jet hovered over the two, transformed and landed.

Optimus’s optics widen as he recognized the jet “Midnightrunner?”

“Twilight, you go free the Autobots.” Midnightrunner told the Ferrari who nodded “…Roll Crush is it?” the bigger mech nodded “You take the one optic purple and green Decepticon. I’ll take the triple changer.”

As Midnightrunner and Twilight ran off, Roll Crush went to a building and knelt down “Ya heard da mech lil’ lady. Scoot an’ find yerself a hidin’ place, we wouldn’t want ya ta get hurt now would we?” he said and Optimus watched as a blue haired young woman jump out the mech’s hand.

“You don’t have to tell me twice.” She replied back and ran towards the building.

Twilight ran towards the captive Autobots and Lugnut appeared before him and made a grab for the small bot, the Ferrari merely leap frog over Lugnut’s head, landed and continued on.

As Lugnut turned to go after him, Roll Crush made himself known by tackling Lugnut and shouting “Yippee Kay Yay!”

Midnightrunner and Blitzwing fired lasers at one another and then Blitzwing transformed into his tank mode and fired at the Autobot. Midnightrunner in turn transformed into a jeep and sped away.

Twilight reached Optimus Prime and removed the stasis cuffs. Optimus stood and turned to the mech “Thanks. Now we need to…” he didn’t finish as Twilight dropped the cuffs and kicked it at the ice incased Bulkhead and Prowl, the cuffs shattered the ice and freed the two Autobots. Twilight then spun and kicked at the ice encased Jazz, freeing him.

As the three Autobots stood there daze, Optimus stared down at the smaller bot and Twilight stared up and shrugged.

Midnightrunner sped around the tank which hotheaded Blitzwing was dumb enough to follow with his turret until random Blitzwing stated “I’m getting dizzy!” and transformed into his robot mode.

Lugnut tossed Roll Crush away and stared down as his triple changer friend bumped into him. Blitzwing shook off the dizziness and saw that he and Lugnut were surrounded by the Autobots.

“I vould suggest zat ve get out of here.” Icy Blitzwing said to his companion.

“But Lord Megatron…”

“Ve vill get the youngling another time, now iz the time for escape.” Blitzwing replied.

Lugnut growled and said “Fine.” He punched the ground and knocked all the Autobots away.

As the Autobots sat up, they watched as the Decepticons flew off.

Optimus turned to Midnightrunner and the other two with him “I don’t how you got here or why you’re here, but thank you for helping us.”

Midnightrunner grinned and Twilight said “No problem.”

“Twilight? Is that you?” Jazz gasped.

Twilight turned to the Cyber-Ninja and bowed.

“You know him?” inquired Prowl.

“He’s a Cyber-Ninja in training… but I heard he disappeared into a Space Bridge four stellar cycles ago, many presumed that he had offline and returned to the Well of AllSparks.” Jazz answered.

“Well, I haven’t now had I?” Twilight asked with a huff.

“What’s his story?” Bulkhead asked pointing at Roll Crush.

The monster truck’s attention was to the human he had carried earlier “It a’right ta come out now Nori, da fightin’ done and all.” He called to the human.

Nori came running out and up to Roll Crush “You and Twilight were so cool!” she said and started babbling excitedly.

“Ah. I almost forgot!” Midnightrunner said and turned away from the other Autobots “Yo Moonchaser! You can come out now! We totally saved your aft!”

Optimus, Jazz, Prowl and Bulkhead gawked at the intelligence officer surprise to see him treat the traitor as a friend.

Moonchaser emerged from the garage and raised an optic ridge as he walked over to the Autobot triple changer “Rambunctious as always I see.” He replied.

“Still moody as ever I see.” Midnightrunner answered back with a grin and Moonchaser just scowl at him.

Moonchaser turned to Optimus and his group and took a step towards them, they responded by pulling their weapons out.

“Whoa, whoa!” Midnightrunner called as he put himself between the four Autobots and the Decepticon “No need for that.”

“He is a traitor and a Decepticon.” Prowl stated.

“Plus he has Bumblebee.” Bulkhead added.

“Yeah… but let’s stop and think about this, he had every chance to run off with the yellow mech when we were fighting Lugnut and Blitzwing… but yet, he hadn’t.” Midnightrunner told them.

“This is true…” Optimus agreed as he lowered his axe “and he wouldn’t let Blitzwing or Lugnut have Bumblebee.”

Moonchaser walked over to Optimus and held Bumblebee to him. The blue and red mech took his friend into his arms “He has a small dent but other then that he’s physically fine, he’s just recharging.” Moonchaser told Optimus.

As Moonchaser moved back to his spot, Bulkhead couldn’t help but ask out of curiosity “What does Megatron want with Bumblebee?”

Moonchaser opened his mouth to answered but a shield slammed into Moonchaser’s chest and he fell back with an “Oaf!”

“What the?” Midnightrunner wondered as he and the others turned to watch the shield return to its owner and Sentinel Prime strode up and shoved pass the other and walk over to Moonchaser.

Moonchaser groaned and tried to sit up, Sentinel grabbed Moonchaser’s arm and slapped a stasis cuff onto his wrists. Moonchaser stared up at the blue mech and Sentinel stared down at the Decepticon with a triumph smirk.

“Got you traitor.”
